Defining sequence of ATP check in ECC

Hi,
We have a requirement where we want that while creating the sales order Product allocation check should occur first then ATP check in ECC we do not have APO system here.
Is there any configuration settings or any user exits are available to achieve the same ?
Thanks,
Vinay

Hello Vinay,
As per standard SAP R/3, depending on settings maintianed in the scheduline category and requirement class, first availability check is performed and then confirmed quantity from ATP will be checked against product allocations. If no quantity is confirmed from ATP, check against product allocations also failed even there is sufficient product allocation quantity. In SAP R/3 your required functionality is not possible. Product allocations will be done based on ATP quantities. Can you please recheck the business requirement why Product allocations first and then ATP check.
Warm Regards

  • CRM 5.0 ATP check to ECC not including pick / pack time in ECC 6.0

Been searching SDN & OSS, our ATP check in 5.0 is reading the proper inventory in ECC but when no inventory is available the date being returned is the total replenishment leadtime in the ECC material master. (good)
When the order is entered in ECC if no stock exist, the total replenishment leadtime become the material availability date in the ECC schedule line, we have 2 days pick / pack time in the shipping point so the confirmed date is 2 factory days after the material availibility date.
Therefore in CRM the ATP date in CRM looks to be 2 days earlier than desired or what ECC provides.  I also set up the vendor partner in CRM but that did not help.
Anyone have experience with this one?
One similiar topic, if total replenshiment leadtime is 3 days and saturday & sunday are not workdays.  a CRM order placed on saturday gives wednesday (monday, tuesday, wednesday) as the date.    ECC gives thursday (tuesday, wednesday, thursday)

    I had 2 issues
    - I didn't have the X set in SMOFPARSFA so i was doing availibility information which doesn't include scheduling (pick pack)
    - other issue was timezones which required note 1423767

  • ATP Check in ECC

    Hi,
In ECC, can ATP check while creating Sales Order; trigger production if stocks are not present. Will ATP check be able to confirm the dates if stock not available.
Also please share what time variables does ATP ceck consider if stock is present ( ex transportation time etc)
    Regards
Edited by: amlanapo on Dec 27, 2010 3:50 AM

    Hi
The production order would not be created if ATP check finds out that no stock is available to confirm the order. The production orders would only be created after the MRP run in ECC. Once an order is unconfirmed in SAP due to unavailability of stock etc. the order goes and lies in SAP as a backorder. Backorders need to be processed seperately in standard SAP as and when stock gets available. At the time of ATP check if no stock is there and no production orders are there then the system cannot predict when the stocks would be available. As a result the confirmation would return a 0 quantity and shift the order to a backorder.
The ATP check can determine if in future stocks are expected based on the availability check parameters and checking rule. If in the availability check scope production orders are included then it will be considered to see if availability is there based on the future GR date of the production order.
If stock is present then ATP does the check based on the requested delivery date entered in the sales order. The system calculates back to find out if the stock can be made available on that day by measuring the transportation dates based on the routes. The number of days in the route would be taken into account.

  • ATP check for delivery in ECC & Sales order ATP check in APO

    Hi All,
Can we do an ATP check for delivery in ECC , but for the same set of Materials- Plant combination , the ATP check when a SO is created should happen in APO .
We do not want to remove the Business event 'B'  which is meant for delivery in  APO . For some materials we need APO ATP check to happen for delivery   & for some it should be in ECC  & for SO  the ATP check should happen in APO .
Even if we do not have check instructions pertaining to Business event 'B' & a particular check mode (for the materials where the ATP check for delivery should happen in ECC & SO check to happen in APO)  , when we are doing an ATP check for delivery , it is still pointing to APO ATP check rather than ECC check .
Any pointers for this is highly appreciated.
    Regards
    Surendra

    Hi Surendra,
For SO, business event is A and for delivery it's B. When integrated with ECC, the check rule in ECC points as biz event in APO.
You can control ATP check by customized settings for check rule in ECC.
Also, by setting requirement class and requirement type in ECC, you control check mode in APO. So, even if you dont define for check mode in APO, the system might refer from ECC for the ATP check settings. Look into your ECC customization for how requirement class is derived and settings for requirement type. (based on MRP type, strategy grp and Item cat).
I'm not sure how you can control ATP to happen for some sales orders/deleveries in ECC and for some in APO, since check mode is mentioned in material master.
However, there are ATP BADIs (business add-ins) available in both ECC and APO, whch can serve your purpose.

  • Difference in Material availability date for ECC ATP check & for APO ATP check in the same order

    Hi Gurus,
I have a question: on what basis material availability date is calculated in forward scheduling?
    Eg:
For a customer GR hours are maintained in unloading point calendar in customer master and Customers are not CIF'ed across to APO.
GR hours are maintained for weekdays from 8:00 to 12:00 & 1:00 to 6:00.
In a sales order with two line items with Requested date today & plenty of stock on hand for two products( ECC & APO) where line 10 (product 1) triggers ECC ATP check & line 20 (product 2) triggers APO ATP check at same location (loc1).
RDD is today, material availability date for ECC ATP check (line 10) is today (working as expected) but where as the material availability date for APO ATP check (line 20)is pushed to next day by which for the same customer there are different delivery dates. And two delivery notes will be created & truck will be on road at different times for the same customer which is unacceptable.
What am I missing here to get the material availability date as today for forward scheduling? Please guide me on this.

  • ATP check for CRM Orders using ECC is creating a replication problem

    Hi Guys,
I have created an order in CRM and it replicated to ECC,however the issue is I'm unable to change the order any more in CRM, message "Document is being distributed". I'm getting this issue after activating ATP check for CRM -ATP check is working perfectly.
Before this ATP check, the Order replication was working perfectly and i can do the changes to order in both systems.
In advance many thanks for your your help.
    Thanks and Regards
    SRIM

    hI,
    Thanks for your response,
There are no messages in the middleware (smq2 - q1), but this error only started occurring after I activated the ATP check.
I have also checked the incompletion log at ECC - document is completed.
Before this ATP check activation the order replication was working correct/y and i can do changes at both ECC and CRM. But now even if i change the order in ECC those changes are not getting replicated infact  queue is not getting generated.
BDOC is showing sent to receivers (not all confirmed)  BUS_TRANS_MSG.

  • To Turn OFF ATP check in APO-GATP Instead do locally in ECC.

    Dear SAP Friends,
Currently for Sales orders & Deliveries, we have ATP Check (Allocation Check + Product Check) happening in APO-GATP. We would like to turn-off ATP check in APO-GATP, instead want to do only Inventory Check in ECC locally.
We want to do above for few particular model/plant combinations and not for all model/plant combinations. Meaning APO-GATP will still be used for many other APO relevant Model/Plant combinations.
What are the changes required to CIF Integration models u2013 Salesorder+ATP Check, or any other IM. Any changes specific to material master in ECC - like MRP Controller, ATP Group, Strategy Group or any config changes on APO side.
Please guide me with stepwise instructions.
    Appreciate your help.
    Thank

Edited by: SatishW on Jun 18, 2010 9:33 PM

    Hi Satish ,
I am not an expert on GATP but logically what I can suggest following steps :
1.As you want ATP check to happen in APO for few codes, you will have to Select/Tick 'Material Independant Object' - ATP Customization in CIF IM , so that ATP customizing settings are transferred to APO from ECC.
    2. But at the same time you need this ATP check to happen in ECC locally and not in APO for certain products, then in other CIF IM you have to select 'Material dependant objects '- ATP Check where you can set the filter/exclusion on those codes so that the ATP check does not take place in APO.
    3. Also like as R/3's backorder processing, in order itself you can set as the ATP check to occur in R/3 and not in APO.
    Hope this helps...

  • Material Susbsitution in ECC Sales order ATP Check

    Hello all,
I have used GATP and implemented Material susbtitutions.
Now i am looking to achieve the following in ECC:
    1) During ATP check, ECC should first look for availability on the material in the sales order item
    2) If enough supply is not found(ATP Check fails), then system should substitute this material with another material; this substitution should happen only if the ATP check on the customer ordered material fails;
Is ECC capable of doing this? I already tried Material determiantion and all reason codes; But material determination is directly replacing the customer ordered material with the substituted material even though there is enough stock on the sales order material.
    thanks

In std, you can achieve this.
In Material Determination, while Creating Condition records in VB11,
maintain appropriate Substitution reason ( for eg:0001)
enter Customer Ordered Material in "Material Entered" field & substitute Material in " Material" field.
now Goto- Alternative materials or Press F2, Enter the another material to substitute Material if the first Substitute material doesnt have enough Stock , Tick the "MRP Indicator" & save the record.
( ref: Help doc of MRP Indicator,
MRP indicator for alternative material in product selection
Material requirements planning (MRP) indicator for automatic product selection.
    Use
The MRP indicator displays the alternative material for which a subitem can be created in case a requirement can't be met. Material requirements planning uses the subitem to determine the requirement shortage.
    Note:
Only one alternative material can be indicated as relevant for materials planning.)
    Test & revert.

  • ATP Check(in SCM ) for a Configurable product  during sales order creation.

    HI Guru's,
our client is implementing GATP(SCM) and Variant Config(ECC 6.0)
when a Sales order is created for a Configurable Product of 20" width and 10" diameter, and with some other Characteristics, He wants the ATP check to be done for that particular product with specific width and diameter.
    Is there any possible solution?
    Plz let me know....
    Thanks
    jk

    Hi
Assuming that you know how to configure Variant configuration in R/3, ATP check in R/3 I will list down the ATP set up and setup relevant to Variant Configuration in SCM.
    APO side.
1.Check Definition of Characteristics and Class system:
SAP APO - Implementation Guide -> SAP Advanced Planner and Optimizer (SAP APO) -> Basis Settings -> Define Class System (CDP or Classical Characteristics)
    2. Check Mode ( use same requirements class used in R/3 mat master)
SAP APO - Implementation Guide -> SAP Advanced Planner and Optimizer (SAP APO) -> Global Available-to-Promise (Global ATP Check) -> General Settings -> Maintain Check Mode
    3. Create a check instruction with your check mode and AE(make to stock SD order) combination and set up the desired ATP check method in it.
SAP APO - Implementation Guide -> SAP Advanced Planner and Optimizer (SAP APO) -> Global Available-to-Promise (Global ATP Check) -> General Settings -> Maintain Check Instructions
    4. Check Control with your ATP group and AE business event.
SAP APO - Implementation Guide -> SAP Advanced Planner and Optimizer (SAP APO) -> Global Available-to-Promise (Global ATP Check) -> Product Availability Check -> Maintain Check Control
5.Maintain suitable scheduling horizon in SAP APO - Implementation Guide -> SAP Advanced Planner and Optimizer (SAP APO) -> Supply Chain Planning -> Production Planning and Detailed Scheduling (PP/DS) -> Global Settings -> Maintain Global Parameters and Defaults -> Planning Tab
    5. Don't forget to CIF classes and charecteristics
    6. Maintain check mode, ATP group, PP/DS horizon, planning procedure 3 in product master.
If you want to trigger production you have to maintain planning procedure 5  in product master and appropriate settings for MATP like configure check instructions, production type Mutli level ATP. you have to have valid BOM and Routings, CIF PDS for the material, maintain production version in material master, etc. That will be quite a complex scenario again.
This should give you proper results. Hope this helps.

  • ATP Check at Delivery Level instead of Sales Order

In Standard SAP, whenever a sales order is created the ATP check is done and a Goods movement 601 is done for it and gets blocked.
I want that no movement to be carried out at Sales Order Level and should get blocked only at the Delivery level, instead of Sales order.
Can i do this by not defining any movement type in the schedule line category attached to the Item category of the sales order.

    hi amit,
u cannot remove MT assignment to SLCAT ,but what you can do is for your checking group and checking rule remove the ATP check relevancy in requirement class defination in spro customising >sd>availibility and TOR.
so that in VOV4 transaction for your SLCAT atp will be deactivated.
only while posting material doc at the time of PGI system would check for availibility and block the goods movement.

  • Make-to-Order customer Return Order triggers unwanted ATP check

When executing a return delivery on a Make-to-Order (Strategy 20, no APO) material, we notice that the ATP check (checking rule BE) gets triggered.  On a return this makes no sense  and of course fails, stopping us from creating the delivery. How can we prevent that?
Strat. 20 has Req.type KE & Req.Class 040 with the Availability Check flagged, but returns should not trigger an ATP check and therefore the  SLCat is unflagged as such ("Define Procedure for  each schedule line category"), but that seems to be ignored - only for this MTO strategy.
When, for testing, we change the Strategy on the same material to 40,  the ATP check -everything else being equal- no longer happens, which indicates that the Order type, Del Type, ItCat, SLCat are all ok. What link am I missing ?
Somehow, selecting a different material strategy impacts the running of ATP.  It would already be useful to know, if in your system, when using Make-To-Order strategy, you see the same or not.
    Help would be very appreciated.
    Hans.

Thank you for the suggestion.   OVZI already has these settings (MRP type and RqType blank).
I don't see how a setting in OVZI would explain that just changing the strategy on the material removes the problem : the key fields here (ItCat, MRPType) would have the same values and they would both come up with a requirement type, linked to a requirement class which has the AvC active (ovzg).  How come that gets overruled (I presume by the schedule line category DN) for one strategy and not the other ?
I could make an entry in ovzi to force it to go to the same requirement type all the time, but that will impact all materials using this ItCat and MRP type.  That seems like a too generic fix for a specific issue.  If you know of any other link between strategy (specifically MTO) and ATP behaviour, I'd be very interested.

  • ATP Check: R/3 and APO

    Hi All,
My Query related to an Earlier Post (GATP:  Unable to check ATP (in GATP)  when creating sales order in R/3).
I would like to change the settings for ATP Check from APO system to R/3, I.E, the ATP Check for Business Rule should be triggered in R/3 and not in APO.
In the earlier post,  inputs were provided for the following:
    - Activation of ATP in external system: this is done in SPRO in the data transfer section.
    - Another common point is cheking rule: In SPRO see that your business event(SO) is enabled for ATP check.
As per my information, the 'ATP Check' tick is possible at the level of Checking Group and Schedule Line Category in R/3
Could someone please provide inputs as to where in SPRO can we check the above 2 points mentioned?
    regards,
    Sudhir

    Hi Sudhir,
The following are the points where changes are required for ATP check in APO.
The presumption is that there already is a active CIF connection.
    1)  MRP type of the material has to be 'XO'
    2)  Define an integration model for ATP checks of those materials.
    3)  Define Checking Group.  SPRO  ->  S&D   ->  Basic Functions  ->  Availability Check  -> Availability check with ATP logic.(Here you define 02 - individual requirement)
    4)  Define Check Control:  the path is same. (Note that the combination of 02 & A is added)
    5)  Define Requirement Class: the path is same. Here you put the availability check tick. Use 050 & check availability check & transfer of requirement for them.
    6) Next you define procedure for the schedule lines.( hope this is what you were looking for.
    7)  Go to SPRO  -> integration with other SAP components  -> APO  -> Basic settings for data transfer  ->  Change Transfer  ->  Change Transfer for master data  ->  Activate change pointers Generally     and tick it.
You are now ready to for ATP of SOs from R/3 in APO.
All setteings required in APO for GATP is clearly mentioned in APO help docs.
Sure it will work for you.
    All the best

step 3: a program is written to convert the excel quantities to text file ie txt file,
step 4 : upload the text file quantity to the sales information system. you have to make a transaction code to upload. in MC95 transaction code.
step5. before doing this we need to have material  hierarchy, and pplanning type should be maintained for every material in basic data 1 product allocation field.
please try to understand and then let me know

  • ATP check avoid block other storage location

    Hi Gurus,
Let's say there is 4000 EA available in storage location 1000, but in the order we enter 5000EA. I don't want to addition 1000 EA block other storage location like 1603/1608, only block own location 1000 waiting for replenishment.
We defined the storage location in sales order, but still the ATP check will block the stock in other storage location.
    Can I know your idea?

I want use the material determ after the stock ATP-CHECK.
    the need detail is that:
first the sales order item run the atp-check ,if the stock cannot supply all the requested quantity ,the shortage quantity will use the material-substitution,by the choose screen or automatic create the new item.otherwise,if the stock is enough to supply, not to run the funciton material determinaton.
this is the all  my want, whether is it can be carry out and how to configure the sap setting.

    Hi Lee,
The standard system supports this. While creating the material determination records in Tcode VB11., while entering the we give the material entered and in the column material you have to give this same material first and by clicking the ICON 'Alternate Materials' on the Application Tool Bar you can give the sequence in which the substitution take place.
Hope this explains your query. If this is not clear please mail me to [email protected]
