  • New Installation : Login Delays and Wifi Problems

    Hey There,
    I just a HP Pavilion DV2850ET laptop computer and decided to run Arch on it. But I have 2 major problems as for now. I'll be very pleased if I get over them.
    1) When the kernel starts loading with vga=792 parameter on, 2 Arch Linux logo shows up instead of 1.. I don't think that this is normal.
    2) I've installed all packages with the newest ISO image release: Archlinux-i686-2007.08-2.core.iso - It's installed without any problems. When the login prompt appears (that I'm going to write root to do the rest of the installation for a while) I can't write anything for about 10-15 seconds. After the 10-15 seconds of waiting, I can write whatever I want.. But this happens all the time and I have to wait everytime I open the computer. I thought that maybe this could be something related with the kernel installed so I upgraded to testing. But nothing changed. This is the most annoying part actually..
    3) I have 07:00.0 Network controller: Intel Corporation PRO/Wireless 3945ABG Network Connection (rev 02) on the laptop. There are several modules for this card as far as I can see like: ipw3945, ipl3945, etc.. During the installation, I let hwdetect to fill modules part in rc.conf and it added these modules: sky2 iwl3945 snd-mixer-oss snd-pcm-oss snd-hwdep snd-page-alloc snd-pcm snd-timer snd snd-hda-intel soundcore - What are all these sound modules any way ? Are they really necessary ?
    Here are lspci and dmesg outputs. I hope they help..

    At this moment, I believe the ipw3945 module and it's deamon work better than the iwf3945. So you can start changing this. In the module line in rc.conf change iwf to ipw. In the deamons line add before the network deamon ipw3945d and youre done.
    The double archlogo is standard I think, got them too

  • Aironet 1310 Bridge, delay and timeout problem

    Hi,
    We have 3 Aironet 1310 Wireless Bridge. 1 of them is Root bridge, others non-root and Workgroup bridge. Normally ping delays are 6-7 ms avarage, but somedays 200-300 ms and timeouts. I dont understand what is the reason. Any other wireless telephone? or other 2.4 Ghz antenna? or ground voltage of buildings? 1 of the non-root bridge's configuration is at the attachment.
    Regards.

    hi i think it is not slution because i have 4 root bridge and i've 45 non-root bridge and somedays there are alot of troubles about telecommunication with ip phone and i chose 11 channels all but i have toruble about this

  • Simple delay and reverb setup

    Hi,
    I have assigned a knob in MainStage to control the volume of Aux/Bus 1 (Reverb). I want this knob to automatically do the same in other patches (like in Apple's templates) and I can't seem to find to do it (not on Concert or Set level, since it's always on then and it should be off when the Reverb effect is not send).
    Any suggestions? I think it's a small thing I overlooked, but can't seem to find it :-/
    TIA,
    Jasper.

    In version 1 of MainStage all the templates I have tried either come with no controls set up at all (there is a warning given as the template loads) or have one or more controls mapped at Concert Level. To see these, you will have to select Concert Level then click on an appropriate controller e.g. Output. This will then show you its path. If you select Output at any other level e.g. Patch, you should see the warning that "this item is mapped at the Concert Level"
    Once a control is assigned at Concert Level it becomes unassignable at any lower level unless you select "Over ride". This means that if you have a volume control for Reverb on Bus 1 set to knob 15, every time you turn knob 15 it will change the Reverb volume on the patch you are currently using. It should do that only if one or more channel strips have been sent to Bus 1. If they haven't, then the knob should be inactive.
    I think that this is what you are trying to describe.

  • No delay or reverb on export

    I am using STP 1.0.3. When i export a mix, my mix is missing Mac OS DELAY and STP REVERB fx. Why? I have tried different bit rates, 24 and 16. Playback in STP is perfect, all fx are there and audible.
    G5 Dual 1.8   Mac OS X (10.4.4)

    I just followed Simon's instructions, and it worked.
    Then I did the following:
    - Dragged two more clips out onto the timeline in
    track 2
    - Added Delay to track 2
    - Added Soundtrack Pro Reverb to tracks 1 and 2
    - Export Mix
    And the mix I exported sounds like it should with
    reverb and delay on both tracks. I wonder what could
    be causing this for you, Chad. I noticed you're on
    1.03 and I've upgraded to Soundtrack Pro 1.1, so we
    might not be comparing apples to apples.
    I've got a friend with a Quad 2.5. I'll e-mail him
    and ask him to try this test to see if the machine is
    the problem.
    hey Collings!
    awesome that you are helping check this out!
    try this... IMPORTANT detail... on a track that has MAC OS DELAY and STP REVERB make sure the sample has space in between... i.e. you drag a clip in... make it 1 seconds then skip 1 second (blank space in the track) then have the clip again. What STP should do is... once a clip ends it should continue the effect (delay in this case) however long it needs to, you could make the DELAY 2 seconds and even though the clip ends at 1 second the delay continues.

  • Server 2008R2 mapping to shared folders fails users of Windows 8.1 but seems OK on Windos 8.0 and no problems for Windows 7

    Having read what I could from the related questions, the answers still elude me.  This issue apparently is specific to Windows 8.1.
    First, a little background.
    1:  The server is not on a domain,  The system runs Server 2008-R2 standard with all folders shared across a standard "Workgroup" type network.  They would prefer to
    leave this layout intact.
    2:  The shared folders are nothing but Data files.  There are no active system folders or anything used in an "active" environment.  They are mostly Word doc, excel
    files, pdf, txt, etc.  However, due to the requirements of the software that needs to access these files, they Must
     reside on a mapped network drive letter. Nothing else works due to the way the SQL database program stores the reference points back to the data.
    I have had some success using what amounts to a “simulated” mapping using  WebDAV to access the server.  But access speed is a lot slower ad file size is limited.
    3:  The system has been configured as-is for the past 3 years with Users all on Windows 7 x64 (mixed OS, some Home Premium, some Professional) and the only problems that come up are when
    access is through an ISP that blocks port 445.  This was the original reason for finding a WebDAV/Cloud method just for those Users since they were unable to Map drives to anything on the Office Servers from their Home Internet even when using a VPN.
    When Windows 8.0 became the only version available, I added a few users whose new laptops came with 8.0 from the vendors.  While there were a very few minor problems, for all practical
    purposes, I was still able to provide access to the mapped folders.
    As the Windows 8.1 roll-out progressed, some users were successfully upgraded while others  are still stuck in Windows 8.0.  The issues with this seem to be hardware related and vary
    depending on the Make and model of the laptop.  I have been assured that eventually all of these will be able to advance to 8.1.  But this delay has given me an excellent mixed OS environment for testing.
    On the users who have not yet purchased new equipment and who are still using Windows 7.  There has been no change.  Their drive mapping is stable and they can always connect as usual.
    Those blocked from lack of port 445 or still blocked.  Systems inside the Office and those with ISP's who allow port 445 can use all mapped drives as normal.
    Users who had Windows 8.0 and who have not yet been able to upgrade to 8.1 also have been unaffected.  Same results as Windows 7.
    Users who got the Windows 8.1 upgrade as well as those that came factory loaded with Windows 8.1 seem to be a never-ending list of problems.  The ones that came native with 8.1 are worst
    of all.  The list of error codes runs through everything that has to do with “communication with the server”.  As far as I have seen, this appears to be the issue.
    Whether they are in the office on a wired network connection or at home on a Wi-Fi connection, the issues have the same results but the actual error codes may vary slightly.  All of
    them refer back to an inability to communicate with the server.
    Nothing on the server has changed in any way.  Users with Windows 7 continue to have zero problems,  Users with Windows 8.0 seem to be doing fine as well.  Only those with Windows
    8.1 are affected and their problems are dramatic with everything from a total loss of drive mapping to misdirected data when the maps are active.
    I have tried to make the drives automatically remap on reboot. I have tried registry modifications.  I have done everything I can think of to make a difference but the results are the same
    for every system using 8.1.  The mapped drive letters invariably disappear.  Sometimes while the system is in use ( I think I have been able to trace this to times when the system enters Sleep or Hibernate) but always when the system reboots.
    One detail that might point to somewhere is that the "time to connect" when mapping the drive is so long that I believe some of the original failures were due to not waiting for a
    minimum of 3 or 4 minutes to give time for the Shares to show-up in order to map them.  Once the mapping is successful, the file access speed seems normal.  But invariably, the drive becomes "unmapped" repeatedly each day.
    I know this was a long question but I have tried to provide every possible detail for anyone who has experienced events like this who may already have a solution.  I would even be glad
    to purchase a 3rd party application if that is what it takes to get this to work.  My next planned effort is to try using Server 2013 but I am afraid that might open another can of worms for those who still use Windows 7.
    I have also been told that this is in some way related to the push to "Cloud" support in Windows 8.1 OS but I do not see where this would come in.  I can say that this was the
    one place where things continued to work as before.  People who had Windows 8.1 and who had to use the CLOUD copies of our data are still able to connect to it with no problems.
    Any suggestions appreciated.  Preferably those that would not need extensive changes to the basic network structure.  This "workgroup" consists of less than 25 users and any
    extreme measures would be hard to justify

    Hi,
    I sugget you try to ping server so that we can verify the connectivity.
    Can windows 8.1 access Windows Server 2008R2?
    Also,please check the event viewer to see if some error log appeared when the issue occurred.

  • Please Help! 10.6.8 Update and subsequent problems

    On Friday, 2/10/2012, the Software Update popped up and informed me that new updates were ready to be installed on my MacBook Pro.
    I clicked the update button and the updater installed the following updates:
    iTunes v10.5.3
    Security Update 2012-001 v1.1
    MacBook Pro Video Update v1.0
    Remote Desktop Client Update v3.5.2
    Keynote 5.1.1 v5.1.1
    Safari v5.1.2
    Java for Mac OS X 10.6 Update 6 v6.0
    Soon after installation Safari started crashing whenever I opened new tabs. I reset Safari and that problem went away.
    I also run a Virtual Machine (Windows Vista imported from a Sony Vaio). The virtual machine has never had a problem and I used it on Thursday before the update and it worked fine. However, after the updates, I can no longer use the virtual machine. It has been corrupted. I get a message that says "Unable to Access Hard Drive 1: input/output error."
    Then my whole Mac started running slow, especially Safari. In Safari, pages are slow to load and I get the spinning color wheel (or "beach ball," as I have heard it referred to) when I'm on any web page. Pages take long to load. After they load, I still get the spinning color wheel consistently.
    Other programs are somewhat slower to load, as well, and when switching between open programs, there are delays and even more spinning color wheels and beach balls.
    My computer has never had a problem until after I installed those updates.
    I have repaired permissions and I have also re-donloaded the combo straight from the Apple website, but that did not work.
    Is anyone else having this problem? Or has anyone else had this problem? What to do?
    Thanks.
    And, uhm, no- I did not have Time Machine set up, unfortunately.

    Grant, thanks for the reply.
    I have NOT been considering a new hard drive. My MacBook Pro is not even two years old, yet (I bought it in May 2010). So, the thought of having to replace my hard drive within 2 years has not even entered my mind and (as I stated) I only started having these problems within the past 2 weeks after having installed the latest updates via Software Update.
    Really, if my Hard Drive needs to be replaced after less than 2 years of light use, then I will just chalk this up as a lesson learned and just not buy another Apple product and would probably just buy a Windows-based laptop rather than replace the HD in my MBP.
    I am working on transferring my files (the ones that will still open and/or copy) to an external hard drive and doing a clean install of my OS X. I also am trying to figure out if I can somehow manage to save my pics that will not copy to the external hard drive but are saved on my iPad before I do so.
    I'm not a computer or Mac genius by any stretch of the imagination, but I do appreciate your reply and advice. Unfortunately, I don't have any idea what it means to re-write a "wvwey block with a known-good pattern." Is that something I have to do manually? You stated that the option is in Disk Utility. Is "write zeroes" an option that you can select or is something you have to input manually? Can you break it down in simple terms for me or give me some step-by-step instructions or a link?
    I apologize for my ignorance, but (again) I do appreciate your replay and advice as well as that of HackInt0sh.
    Thanks.

  • Tablet PC tx2000 - display and wireless problems

    Hey folks. I have an HP tx2000 tablet laptop with a year-from-purchase warranty that expired just last month, and now two serious and potentially debilitating problems have occured. I've spent about four or five hours with the nice people from Livechat, who were patient on the whole and managed to temporarily fix one of the issues.
    1) The wireless device cannot be detected - The laptop's wireless card is not being read. This is a big downer for me because I use wireless exclusively at home and work and I really don't want to shell out bucks for a smart card to replace technology on a laptop that is 1 year and 1 month old. The first thing I tried was re-installing Vista. The wireless card was detected and worked just dandy until as soon as I restarted the computer. Then it disappeared from the device manager list. I re-installed a second time and the same thing happened. Livechat directed me to a new BIOS to install, so I installed that, too. The same thing happened. Then Livechat instructed me to remove the HP Wireless Assistant program, and bingo! The wireless worked fine, and through many reboots. For a day and a half. Now it cannot found again.
    2) When the laptop enters sleep or hibernation, the display will not 'wake up' again. The fan will hum, the leds will flash, but the display refuses to wake. The only way to solve this is to reboot the computer. This also happens /every time/ I power on the computer cleanly. The display will not activate, no post screen, no system beep a few seconds afterwards. The only solution is to hold the power slider down until the system does a hard shut down, and then click it again to turn the computer back on. This usually works, though sometimes it takes 2 or 3 tries.
    The Livechat solution was to update my video drivers, and they sent me a nice handy nvidia update.  Upon install restart, the computer behaved normally, but once I restarted again (After wrapping up the marathon Livechat session at 5 in the morning) the blank-screen problem occured. I also tried to install the latest drivers from the nvidia website (which were updated from the ones HP gave me), to no effect.
    I've read about both of these problems on various internet boards; wireless failure seems to be a widespread thing with Pavilions and the chipset, though this is a rather unique case in that reinstalling does allow the system to immediately 'find' it and it works fine, and HP Livechat provided me with a working solution where the wireless ran for a day and a half and through ten or twelve power ups/power downs. The screen problem, however, seems very common and is frustrating to the extreme for myself and several others. Many hypothesize it involves the tablet technology. My previous laptop was a Dell Inspiron with a large, 2" diameter hole burned into the screen, and Dell Support wouldn't even talk to me even though they had a uniquely extended warranty for what was a major manufacturing problem. Too bad, I fell short of the 3-year warranty, and they would just shuttle me to a pay-for service as soon as I gave them my tags. I've lost all faith in Dell products as a result. HP, in contrast, has been very civil through the Livechat, and I read up on some of these forums.. it looks as if people know what they're doing here. I don't want to throw away more money on another laptop, and the tablet functions are the bomb. I just want a working laptop.
     Cheers,
    This question was solved.
    View Solution.

    Nice, only took 'em 12 minutes to censor my post and remove mention of a certain web site.
    To the Hewlett-Packard employees here, how does it feel to have to constantly cull posts on this particular issue day-in and day-out? I think that you guys have a better scope of this manufacturing problem and just how many people it is affecting. Certainly you know how mad they are. I do think your conduct has been fairly civil, but I find it absurd that as representatives of this company you continue to ignore the mounting evidence that we all have bad GPU-equipped laptops.
    Then again, you probably can't do much about it, and I'm sure nobody above you is willing to consider the issue at hand and release a public response. I am confident that this arm of HP is ignoring their customers just as much as the other echelons I have visited in my quest to get a free repair.
    http://www.hp.com/hpinfo/globalcitizenship/ethics/
    From the above, 'Business Ethics' by HP:
    'We are passionate about customers; (Sure are!)
    We have trust and respect for individuals; (I don't see the respect part, and we no longer hold trust for you.)
    We perform at a high level of achievement and contribution; (If achievement == making money by charging repairs to manufactured-defective laptops.)
    We act with speed and agility; (On ignoring, buffeting, delaying, and downright covering up this entire mess)
    We deliver meaningful innovation;
    We achieve our results through teamwork; and
    We conduct our business with uncompromising integrity. (Yeah, you sure haven't compromised with the THOUSANDS of PISSED OFF CUSTOMERS in this mess!)
    At HP we want to be a company that is known for its leadership in corporate ethics and responsibility. A company where employees are proud to work, and customers, partners and suppliers want to do business with.'
    I think HP is irresponsible not to re-address the issue of machines covered by the LWSE. I cannot say anything about corporate ethics here; all it translates into is finger-point-who-started-the-problem. As a customer, I no longer want to do business with HP. I don't know much about their partners or suppliers' feelings on this issue.
    However, to the censors:
    Is this a company in which you are proud to do the sort of work you do here?

  • Delay and echo

    When I use SmartTalk the people I call complain that my voice is delayed and they can hear their own voice echoed. Do other people have this problem?
    It sounds all right at my end, except I do notice people are slow to reply so that I often start talking again at the same time as they are about to reply.

  • Audio (and other) problems noted with Keynote version 4.0.1

    Since installing Keynote 4 and the 4.0.1 update, I have noted the following situations and/or problems:
    1) When doing a "save-as" the filename is appended with the suffix ".key" but when I subsequently "save" this file, the suffix disappears. The file seems to open and operate OK nonetheless, but this puzzles and somewhat concerns me that someday Keynote may not recognize the file. This happens whenever I "save" a slideshow after I have made any changes to it.
    2) When playing back a "soundtrack," the audio "glitches" frequently at slide transitions: this occurs repeatedly on my G5 desktop system but not on my MacBook Pro-17. The "glitches" always seem to occur at the same places in the track - which, of course, is also at the same slide transitions. (This problem has spawned several similar questions and threads in this forum.)
    3) Related to #2 above, the "glitches" also interrupt or corrupt the "recording" of that soundtrack, so that the synchronization is off when the slideshow is played back.
    4) If I want to have an audio track play under a series of slides, the only way I have found to accomplish this is to create a separate slideshow with the audio track running as a "soundtrack" and "record" the Builds and Transitions in sync with the audio. If I want to incorporate several of these shows together, I can create a "master" slideshow and Hyperlink each segment to the next. HOWEVER...
    5) When I "record" a "soundtrack" and "synchronize" the Builds and Transitions within the slideshow, everything plays back properly in sync ONLY when the slideshow is played as a stand-alone presentation (i.e. a cold start from the desktop). If I initiate playback of the slideshow via a Hyperlink from another presentation, the soundtrack plays but NONE of the synchronization works at all.
    6) The only way I have found to have an audio track "fade-in" or "fade-out" is to use off-line editing software to record these fades prior to importing the tracks into Keynote. The "Start Audio" Build function is simply a hard "cut" in, and the end of the track is a hard "cut" out.
    These problems are consistent and repeatable facts. Whether they are "bugs" in the software or "design shortcomings" is uncertain. Nonethtless ...
    At the risk of offending the moderators of this forum, I feel compelled to comment that these problems render the audio operations of Keynote less than satisfactory and should be addressed as soon as possible with another update to this visually stunning but audio-challenged application.

    Well Ron S, I re-confirmed why I prefer not to look to tech support for support.
    It seems to me that support's main function is to deflect any critical comments and push the blame back to the user.
    Frankly, I have better things to do with my time and money than try to help a multi-billion dollar enterprise learn about itself.
    So, for the benefit of you and the nearly 400 who have followed this thread, I offer you my latest and probably last attempt to have Apple acknowledge in some small way that "Houston, we have a problem".
    I expect this reply will result in this thread being yanked as well, since I'm expressing negative thoughts about Apple's product and wishing they would do better, which is a non-technical gasp of utter frustration and disappointment. Note that "product" is singular, defining Keynote. My other Apple products serve me loyally and superbly, which is why my huge disappointment with Keynote.
    So here is my correspondence with Tech Support. I've removed names except mine.
    I think it speaks for itself. They have notes from my conversations with them that I have current Apple computers, including a MacBookPro, not an old PowerBook, nevertheless, they have told me that the problem is mine because the fabulous hyper-performing Keynote software is choking my poor old machine (paraphrased muchly).:
    Hi (support),
    That's disappointing news, especially since this test was done on 3 machines: an old G4 400, a 2.0G Dual G5 and an Intel core duo MacBookPro which yielded identical results.
    It is not a hardware issue.
    I do not accept a brush-off that it is my hardware that is causing Keynote to be problematic.
    I will assume that Apple is not interested in addressing these issues in public and that Keynote is substandard software that is in need of re-authoring.
    Sorry to be so blunt, but Apple has set this tone with Keynote, and used its considerable reputation as a leading a/v technology innovator to imply that Keynote will deliver the excellence we Mac users have come to expect.
    I have been a loyal mac user since the SE series and have enjoyed success with the machines and software offered by Apple, and depend on them for my livelihood. I'm currently using FC Studio6 and know that Apple is capable of maintaining its high standards.
    However, Keynote fails to do that, instead behaving like a product that was invented in a teenager's basement and is in beta. I realize that it's not designed as a FCP level product, but it fails at the basic tasks that you advertise it will complete.
    A version 4 product should work as advertised. Keynote certainly does not.
    I'm deeply saddened that Apple seems to have become an iPod entertainment company, interested mainly in profits from entertainment rather than serious useful technology.
    On 2007-Oct-19, at 10:14 AM, (tech support) wrote:
    Hello Sir,
    Unfortunately, this does look like it's mostly a case of some of the new Keynote features slowing down the performance on the PowerBook.
    At this point, there isn't much else we can do in the way of troubleshooting.
    If you are not satisfied with the performance on the PowerBook, using the previous version of Keynote is probably his best option at this point.
    We will continue to research this issue, but at this point it's unlikely I'll be able to find additional suggestions for improving performance, as it looks like it is is reproducible and limited to older models.
    On Oct 16, 2007, at 11:27 PM, Ron Tucker wrote:
    Hi (support),
    Thanks for your recent followup calls. I'm directing a video shoot so am a bit preoccupied.
    Here are the tests I mentioned.
    These are as simple as it gets, and I think highlights the synchronization problem with Keynote.
    Test 1 is straightforward, and demonstrates that a single unedited recorded audio track will maintain mouse click synchronization.
    Test 2 is the same file, but with audio modifications applied to each slide in succession.
    This demonstrates a dramatic synchronization slippage.
    The visuals occur before the click (and audio) markers. Keynote seems to be create delay in audio at each "record and replace" point. This accumulates as the audio is revised in successive slides.
    These tests demonstrate that there is a fundamental flaw in how Keynote handles audio in its most basic application.
    This does not address the slim toolset available, such as lack of insert capability and other basic audio tools, which is a separate design issue, and I suppose subject to "request for enhancement" feedback.
    I've reluctantly abandoned Keynote for my project work at present until these basic issues are addressed and it can be demonstrated that Keynote can successfully execute its feature set.

  • Sever delay and cracking noise with guitar

    I have my electric guitar plugged into my MacBook via a USB cable. Never had a problem using it until today. Since the last software update (which was supposed to FIX latency) when I use guitar effects in GarageBand there is a crackling noise and distortion, along with a sever delay between between hitting the string and hearing the sound. Anyone have any idea what happened? I changed nothing on my end. Must be in the software update. The delay and distortion and crackling noises are so bad I simply cannot use guitars in GarageBand, much less record them. Help!

    Thanks for the reply. My cable is a First Act USB cable that I got at Target:
    http://www.amazon.com/First-Act-222-USB-Cable/dp/B001D2GQHU/ref=sr13?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1297089473&sr=1-3
    It worked perfectly until the latest update to Garage Band 11 was released. I strongly suspect it is not the cable, as the cable does not seem to require a driver. The Mac auto detects it. Is nobody else having this problem? Maybe the cable just happened to go bad immediately after the Garage Band update?

  • Flash player 10.3 (current) causes major sound delays and sluggishness

    Dutifully updating the Adobe Flash player as recommended, I ran into the problem that the curren version of it (10.3.187?) causes large delays in sound playback, like 0.5-1s delay before the sound plays that should play, also regular hangups in flash applications (choking). This ruins e.g. flash gaming of any sort.
    System: Windows XP Pro on an AMD Athlon64 3700+ (single core), 2GB RAM
    I currently downloaded 10.3.181 from OldApps, installed it after removing the current version, and the problem went away; no delays, no sluggishness, no choking.
    Any idea what the problem is, and when this is going to be fixed? I'd prefer to be able to run the latest version re: security.

    Hi Danny,
    Per my understanding that you can't get the expect result by using the expression "=Count(Fields!TICKET_STATUS.Value=4) " to count the the TICKET_STATUS which value is 4, the result will returns the count of all the TICKET_STATUS values(206)
    but not 180, right?
    I have tested on my local environment and can reproduce the issue, the issue caused by you are using the count() function in the incorrect way, please modify the expression as below and have a test:
    =COUNT(IIF(Fields!TICKET_STATUS.Value=4 ,1,Nothing))
    or
    =SUM(IIF(Fields!TICKET_STATUS=4,1,0))
    If you still have any problem, please feel free to ask.

  • BOSD, Battery issues and Heating problem after iOS 8 upgrade

    i have upgraded my iPad mini to iOS 8. Ever since I upgraded to iOS 8 am facing blue screen issues and heating problem as well. This is really frustrating even the patch iOS 8.0.2 dint solve the problem. Are you guys listening our complaints. When will you fixing it.

    The same thing happened to me on my 2012 Subaru Outback.  I'm not sure this will help you since you have a Honda, but I'm posting this just in case.
    I paired the audio on my car with my iPhone 6.  However, when I turned the car off and back on again, the iPhone would not pair automatically.  I had to manually connect the iPhone with the car.  Turns out there are two separate bluetooth pairings on my car: one for phone which allows up to 5 devices and one for audio which allows only one device.  So I did the second bluetooth pairing for the phone (had already done the audio), and that fixed it.  YMMV

  • I am making code to try to make a game and my problem is that my code......

    I am making code to try to make a game and my problem is that my code
    will not let it change the hit everytime so im getting the first guy to hit 1 then next hits 8 and so on and always repeats.
    Another problem is that I would like it to attack with out me telling it how much times to attack. I am using Object oriented programming.
    Here is the code for my objects:
    import java.lang.*;
    import java.io.*;
    import java.net.*;
    import java.util.*;
    import java.util.Random;
    import static java.lang.Math.*;
    import java.awt.*;
    import java.awt.color.*;
    class rockCrab {
         //Wounding formula
         double sL = 70;                                   // my Strength Level
         double bP = 1;                                   // bonus for prayer (is 1 times prayer bonus)
         double aB = 0;                                 // equipment stats
         double eS = (sL * bP) + 3;                         // effective strength
         double bD = floor(1.3 + (eS/10) + (aB/80) + ((eS*aB)/640));     // my base damage
         //Attack formula
         double aL = 50;                                   // my Attack Level
         double eD = 1;                                   // enemy's Defence
         double eA = aL / eD;                              // effective Attack
         double eB = 0;                                   // equipment bonus'
         double bA = ((eA/10) * (eB/10));                    // base attack
         //The hit formula
         double fA = random() * bA;
         double fH = random() * bD;
         double done = rint(fH - fA);
         //health formula
         double health = floor(10 + sL/10 * aL/10);
         rockCrab() {
         void attack() {
              health = floor(10 + sL/10 * aL/10);
              double done = rint(fH - fA);
              fA = random() * bA;
              fH = random() * bD;
              done = rint(fH - fA);
              System.out.println("Rockcrab hit" +done);
    import java.lang.*;

    class self {
         //Wounding formula
         double sL = 1;                                   // my Strength Level
         double bP = 1;                                   // bonus for prayer (is 1 times prayer bonus)
         double aB = 0;                                 // equipment stats

         //The hit formula
         double fA = random() * bA;
         double fH = random() * bD;
         double done = rint(fH - fA);
         //health formula
         double health = floor(10 + sL/10 * aL/10);
         self() {
         void attack() {
              health = floor(10 + sL/10 * aL/10);
              fA = random() * bA;
              fH = random() * bD;
              done = rint(fH - fA);
              System.out.println("You hit" +done);
    }Here is the main code that writes what the objects do:
    class fight {
         public static void main(String[] args) {
              self instance1 = new self();
              rockCrab instance2 = new rockCrab();
              instance2.health = instance2.health - instance1.done;
              System.out.println("You hit: " +instance1.done);
              System.out.println("rockCrabs health: " + instance2.health);
              instance1.health = instance1.health - instance2.done;
              System.out.println("RockCrab hit: " +instance2.done);
              System.out.println("rockCrabs health: " + instance1.health);
              instance2.health = instance2.health - instance1.done;
              System.out.println("You hit: " +instance1.done);
              System.out.println("rockCrabs health: " + instance2.health);
              instance1.health = instance1.health - instance2.done;
              System.out.println("RockCrab hit: " +instance2.done);
              System.out.println("rockCrabs health: " + instance1.health);
              instance2.health = instance2.health - instance1.done;
              System.out.println("You hit: " +instance1.done);
              System.out.println("rockCrabs health: " + instance2.health);
              instance1.health = instance1.health - instance2.done;
              System.out.println("RockCrab hit: " +instance2.done);
              System.out.println("rockCrabs health: " + instance1.health);
              instance2.health = instance2.health - instance1.done;
              System.out.println("You hit: " +instance1.done);
              System.out.println("rockCrabs health: " + instance2.health);
              instance1.health = instance1.health - instance2.done;
              System.out.println("RockCrab hit: " +instance2.done);
              System.out.println("rockCrabs health: " + instance1.health);
    }when the code is run it says something like this:
    you hit 1
    RockCrabs health is 9
    RockCrab hit 7
    your health is 38
    you hit 1
    RockCrabs health is 8
    RockCrab hit 7
    your health is 31
    you hit 1
    RockCrabs health is 7
    RockCrab hit 7
    your health is 24
    you hit 1
    RockCrabs health is 6
    RockCrab hit 7
    your health is 17
    my point is whatever some one hits it always repeats that
    my expected output would have to be something like
    you hit 1
    RockCrabs health is 9
    RockCrab hit 9
    your health is 37
    you hit 3
    RockCrabs health is 6
    RockCrab hit 4
    your health is 33
    you hit 2
    RockCrabs health is 4
    RockCrab hit 7
    your health is 26
    you hit 3
    RockCrabs health is 1
    RockCrab hit 6
    your health is 20
