Delete Crystal Report Design in Report and Layout Manager

Hi All
How to permanently delete a customised Crystal Report Design imported in Report and Layout Manager?
There is no Delete button at all unlike Form Design?

Missing reports in Report and Layout manager

Hi Experts,
i need to convert with Crystal Converter some PLD Tax reports.
The problem is that under Tax Reports tree, in report and layout manager, reports of typecode 'RB01' are missing!
Why are they missing??
Is there any other way to convert them even if missing?
i can see them in the tax report form, selecting tax register block and press ok.
From the print layout designer they are listed.
Please help.

What is your B1 PL? Have you solved your problem? Try to upgrade to the latest PL if you are not in it.

Report Designer - error message and variable

Hi All,
Who has already experience with the formatted report (Report Designer)?.
We work with SAP GUI 640.
I have the following problems with the report designer.:
1.) If I even execute the report designer, I receive the following error message:
<b>Web Item Report Error
       Error while processing the dynamic report section with the name " REP_TEST_1"
       While processing the dynamic report section with the name "REP_TEST_1", this
       error occured:
       Characteristic SDB2_IO1_F9 not found on axis "ROW" of data
       provider "SDB2_IO1"</b>
I`ve already checked the Query and the InfoSet on this the Query was built. There are no mistakes! The InfoObject is in the row.
With 2 other ones new defined Queries I receive the same error message, only with another info object.
2.) If I executing the report designer not all variables are available.
     How can I change this?
I`m thanks for every information and hope that Somebody can help me.

2.) That`s right what you say. This tool is very tricky!
     I`ve never changed the query. If I executing the report designer there show me one
     variable, but I have defined four in the query.
     So, what can I do to solve this problem?

Charts in Report Designer - choosing columns and rows for categories

Hi,
I am trying to create a pie chart in report designer from a data provider which has 4 rows and 4 columns. As a default the chart created is using the 1st row for data and the four columns as categories.I want the pie chart to use the first column for categories and 2nd column for data. How do I change the default chart behaviour?

Link is regarding WAD web item but editing is the same in Report Designer.
Here you will get information with example query for editing pie charts and what is possible or not.

Structure of the Data Provider for a Pie Chart
In a pie chart, the underlying table has only one row. The values in the columns form the pie segments.
If the table contains more than one row, the additional rows are ignored when the table is converted into a chart. However, you can define which row is to be used (see below).

Report Designer is slow and does not update info.

I am working with Report Designer.
It is running very slow. For first few minutes it runs fine and after that it slows down.
It is only Report Designer which is slow- Query Designer, BEx Analyzer and other applications are running fine.
Does anyone have any idea please?
I also have some other issue with Report Designer.
I created queries in Query Designer and then formatted in report Designer. Now they want to add one more column or row in query. I add that in Query designer but it does not show in report designer.
It does show under Query Element but I donu2019t how to populate whole row and column.
Can someone assist me that how to bring in report designer?

Try with your corporate mail ids it will work.
It is neccesary configurate Job Manager? why is necessary configurate Publisher and Job manager, is the same? or Each one is in use for a different thing Bi Publisher will not use Job manager mail settings.....If yes ,why we need to configure the mail settings in BIPublisher itself??

Report Designer - Formatting in paper layout

I have been struggling with a request to develop a very detailed report in printed (paper Layout) format.
I am OK with the data output, but spending too much time trying to get the graphical formatting to an acceptable level.
Does anyone have any suggestions on my issue below?
Or - does any one know of a source for online help/totorials specifically for graphical layout part of design in paper layout?
My Project is a shipping document. It has address type information repeating at the top of every page, item details in the body, and static general information at the bottom of each page.
My challenge is with the static information at the bottom of the page.
- If the document contains only a few item detials, the bottom information should remain at the very bottom of the first page and not move upwards
- If the document contains more than one page worth of detials, the bottom information should print at the bottom of every page.
So far, I got it to stop moving upwards, but now it is missing on page 1 and only prints onto page 2
next part. In the static information is space to include a total Qty (the total is easy). I need the total to print only on the last page, all previous pages should print text such as 'Continued on next page'
If anyone could give me a push in the right direction, i would be very grateful.

To simplify, I have removed any repreating frame from the bottom leaving only a large fixed frame containing multiple fixed frames.
On your first suggestion:
If I change Print Obect On: to 'Last Page' as sugested, I get an error 'Obect M_1 has an illegal print condition'. If I leave it set to 'All Pages', it prints but moves up the page immediatly following the last record
On your second suggestion:
I moved the fixed frame outside of the margin. And received very simiar results.
I had read that I might need to use an anchor to make the position releative to another object. Might this be the case?

Customized R12 Standard Purchase Order report with custom data and layout

Hi all,
We need to customize the seeded Purchase Order report in R12 to add an additional section to include cost data coming from our custom table. The key is that our customized report should be launched instead of the seeded report via various PO forms (e.g. View Document menu option, PO Communications form to email, fax and print PO, etc).
I manually set up a custom Document Type Layout for the Document "Standard Purchase Order" to use my customized template so my custom layout is shown instead of the R12 layout, but according to Oracle support the report can only draw data from a set of seeded Oracle views like po_headers_xml,po_lines_xml etc.
Any suggestions how we can add our custom data to PO report in R12?

thats a tough one, the PO generation is a bit restrictive to say the least when it comes to customizing. It sounds like you have worked out how to get your own template in there to render the PO.
On the data front, all I can think of is to customize and replace the seeded PO view with one that incorporates your extra data.
Or, get into the page customization world and write your own extract and format concurrent program/procedure and then hook it onto the buttons where you want to launch it.
You might have more luch, response wise from the EBS PO forum.

Is PaperSize set in the Report Design Machine Dependent and not Universal?

I have been having a problem with setting a Custom Paper size in CR2010 for Visual Studio 2010 VB Net and in the solution that I found, the author says that
The fact is that crystal report save the information of the format of a report in a non-portable way!
It saves the "ID" of the format instead of his "Name"!
The problem is that in Windows this ID is machine dependent.
I created a Paper size for C6 envelopes, and used that Paper size name when I created a report. But whatever settings I used for setting PaperSize at runtime, the Report printed on the Default Paper size for the printer which in my case is A4.

My question is, if I am making a report which is going to be used by other users on different computers, do I need to use the code to find the correct paper size ID on the Users computer for all paper sizes, both standard sizes and custom sizes?
For example will myReportDocument.PrintOptions.PaperSize = PaperSize.PaperA4 in the code not work on another users computer if their printer has a Default paper size of Letter? Will I need to use the above code example to find the paper size ID for the user's machine?

Not the same query - the two links to the two questions you listed were how to overcome the problem of making the report print using a custom size
In finding a solution to that, the suggestion was made that the PaperSize stored by the Report is a machne dependent ID - if that is the case then is it correct that when the report is used on a different computer by another user, that the Paper ID size stored by the Report will not work for the second computer and that I need to include code to find the second users Paper ID that matches the paper size that the report requires even for standard paper sizes?
I understand that custom papersizes may require code to find the Machine Paper ID, but am now not sure if the problem arises for all paper sizes when the report is used on third party computers

Report Designer 2.5 and Richwin

I have installed Developer2000 (forms 4.5 and report2.5) and developer 6.0.
After i install richwin, i find that the report 2.5 would be terminated automatically when i double click the layout on a already built report.
Can any expert tell me what's going on.

oracle reports 2.5 is a very outdated and no longer supported version. obviously the installation if richwin has (badly) interacted with your developer installation, possibly a DLL incompatibility.

Inventory Audit Report - Not followed FIFO and Batch management

I have created an Item say XYZ, with Batch management and valuation methode FIFO.
Then I have created a batch say 1 with posting of opening balance transaction with posting date as 1st April 2009.
Now when I post an A/R Invoice with posting date as 19th May 2009 in which I have selected above batch.
I have also posted some more purchase transaction for same item before 19th May 2009 that is the date of sales invoice.
Now when I see Inventory Audit Report, system has not picked up the cost column as per Batch selection in A/R Invoice, and also not as per FIFO, but it has followed the system date of transaction for deriving cost as per FIFO.
Can anybody throw light on this ?

Irrespective of posting date you use for document posting, with FIFO Method system will arrange all the inventory posting in layers with First inventory posting will form the base for first inventory movement out and so on
Example:
1st Entry:(Opening Balances)
posting date : 01/04/09    Item : XYZ    quantity : 5   Unit cost price : 100
2nd Entry: Purchase
posting date : 01/05/09    Item : XYZ    quantity : 5   Unit cost price : 105
3rd Entry: Purchase
posting date :25/04/09    Item : XYZ    quantity : 5   Unit cost price : 90
Layers created :
1.    Item : XYZ    quantity : 5   Unit cost price : 100
2.     Item : XYZ    quantity : 5   Unit cost price : 105
3.     Item : XYZ    quantity : 5   Unit cost price : 90
4th Entry : Sales
Item : XYZ    quantity : 8
So here cost of goods sold will be : ( 5x100)+ ( 3x105) = 815
and it wont be ( 5x100)+ ( 3x90) =770 if that's what you are expecting

Opening a report designed in Report 10g in Excel format

I have passed the desformat parameter as spreadsheet but still i find unnecessary blank cells between columns and rows.
The report is created in Report Builder 10g manually without using the Report wizard.
I have tried to remove all the spaces between the fields. (even by using zoom) but still the same problem.
Can anyone suggest regarding this.
