Deletion of  the Purchase order at the item level and header level

Hi Gurus,
We are using SRM 7.0 system.
In standard SRM 7.0, the PO can be deleted at header level and at line item level. I need to know the differnce between these deletions. I found that if the PO is deleted at the line item level the  deletion indicator (DEL_IND) field in BBP_PDIGP table is 'X'.
But i could not find any clue to find the PO which is deleted at the header level. I need to code this logic in a report .
Kindly provide your valuable inputs.
Thanks,
RK

There are two ways:
1. From the Header by clicking the DELETE button. And this is only possible when the PO is not yet output to Vendor.
2. The second way is to delete all the items in the PO. This is possible any time irrespective of the output sent to the vendor. But provided if there are no follow-on documents for this.
Some times we could see the Deletion icon active in Header  , it is because there is change version existing.
When a PO is created and ordered, this is the first version of the PO. And this PO is sent to the backend and output is sent to
the vendor.
Now when you make a change and hold it, SRM creates the 2ndversion of this PO. Then when you delete this PO, SRM marks this 2nd
version of PO to closed. Also you receive the pop-op confirmation that PO was deleted at this point. However, this PO deletion is never sent to the backend and output is not sent to the vendor since this PO has never been ordered. This version is the Change Version. This is shown after the PO number field if you pay attention on the screen.
When you search for the PO, it will show you the ordered PO (No change version shown after the PO number). The system does not show you the deleted version which is version 2. That is why you see status is 'ordered'.

  • Email of the Purchase Order to the User

    Hi,
    Currently, I am able to send the email of the purchase order to the vendor mail address, which is mentioned on general data tab of the vendor master.
    In addition, the requirement is that the purchase order also to be emailed to the User, who has created it.
    I have added the VU in NACE settings for application EF, output type NEU. The payment medium I have used is 5 (external send).
    However, when I try to add the VU and the user name to the vendor master partner details tab, the system is not taking in.
    Please let me know how can I email the purchase order to user.
    Thanks in advance for your time.
    Thanks,
    Ravi

    Hi,
    1) Add the user email address also in the vendor master.
    2) Verify all settings in condition records.
    3) Check tcode sost for any waiting send requests.

  • Partner details are not getting captured to the purchase order from the ven

    Hi,
    Issue : ( ECC PO)
    Partner details are not getting captured to the purchase order from the vendor master.
    We found that the partners are not getting captured in ECC PO's automatically from the vendor master. We checked for all the config and everything seems to be o.k, but could not figure it out.
    Any suggestions are highly appreciated.
    Regards
    Sudhakar

    Hey Sudhakar,
    I believe what is happening here is that the ECC PO document type has not been assigned to the partner determination procedure.
    If this is working properly for standard POs, then,
    Go to Partner detrmination under Purchasing>  Partner Settings in Purchasing Documents> Assign Partner Schemas to Document Types.
    and enter teh appropriate document type and refer it to the procedure you have for NB Pos

  • To block the Purchase orders with the help of Quality info record.

    Dear All,
    I have one requirement and it is as follows.
    In Quality Info Record we have a tab called Release in that there are two sections one is Release quantity and the other is Block.
    Now my client requirement here is : consider an example suppose he enters 100 in the quantity field,upto 100 the system must allow him to do Purchase Order after the 100 system must show an error that quantity is blocked and Purchase order cannot be created.
    The purchase order should only create when he changes the quantity from 100 to the higher quantity.
    Is this possible?
    if so kindly tell me what are the  normal settings and configuration settings to be done.
    as the client doesnot want to change it manually.
    Kindly guide me in this regard.
    Regards,
    santosh.

    Dear Santosh,
    E.g. lets say Release Qty. = 100.
    now, if the material received from vendor is OK, you want to continue with that vendor, and if material is rejected,no further material will be rceived.
    as, your client do not wants to do it manually,
    in q-info record, above "release qty" there is "Release qty. active"tick. so, create Z function module which will only reset the "QINF FREI_MGKZ" field, and assign it into Follow-up action for Usage decision for acceptance. it will be better to create new UD code.
    at the end, if Material is Ok, after UD, it will remove "Release qty. active" tick and you can continue with that vendor.  and if UD is rejected, system is not going to allow for PO, as release qty was 100.

  • HOW TO BLOCK THE PURCHASE ORDER AND MARK FOR DELETION ?

    Hi ,
                        During the Creation of the Purchase order in the SAP System... After creation of the Purchase order should be blocked and a work item is created for the approver. If the Approver approves the Order then the Order is Unblocked and a mail send to the initiators inbox and the Order is Released. Similarly if the Approver Rejects the Purchase Order then its set for Mark for Deletion.
    I did Po creation and release part. But i am facing problem during the Blocking & Unblocking the Purchase order. If he rejects i need to set for "Mark For Deletion". plz help me to solve this...

    Hi,
    You can use bapi 'BAPI_PO_CHANGE' to change the status of PO and for release use bapi BAPI_PO_RELEASE.
    Hope this will help you.

  • Net price update in creation of the purchase order

    Guys,
    I have a query, please find the details below.
    I have created a ABAP for posting the purchase orders using the BAPI function 'BAPI_PO_CREATE1', I am passing the net price value in the input file. But the system is taking the net price from the purchase info record of that material. My own net price is not considered.
    Please find my observations below.
    1. First of all system is checking whether there is a PIR maintained for the material or not. If PIR is maintained, then system is defaultly considering the net price maintained in the PIR.
    2. Later I have deleted the net price maintained in PIR. In this case, system is considering the net price of that material from the previous purchase order.
    But my query is that I don't want the system to consider the net price from previous material, I want to update my own net price to line item of the PO.
    Could anyone please suggest me how should I proceed further so solve this query?
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Vijaymadhur.

    Hi,
    Yes, this can be achieved. Don't maintain any price in inforecord. Then in SPRO > Materials Management > Purchasing > Environment Data > Define default value for buyers > Here click on settings on default values > In Inforecord update > Maintain no update fro PO and quotation.
    Now the last PO price will not be saved in Inforecord and hence this will not b carried to PO.

    Normally this description comes from the Condition type Definiton i.e., T685T-VTEXT.
    can any one of you suggest a User exit or a method where by we can change this text at PO.
    Has any one of you came across such situation before. if so please provide me with your inputs.

    Hi,
    I think it is a config setting..Please check with your functioal consultant regarding the same.. I won't suggest to change the standard SAP table T685T but you can keep it as last option .
    From SPRO you can follow the below path
    Sales and Distribution->Basic Functions -> Pricing > Pricing Control -> Define condition types.

  • Need to find how to relate the purchase order table with account assignment

    i need to reterieve the account assignment from the table bbp_pdacc, what is field or any tables that is between BBP_PDACC and Purchase order number or the purchase order items. I am working on the SRM system

    Jacques-Antoine,
    You can't directly translate a repeating node or element (such as an Item or a Project Task from the Accounting Coding Block of an Item) to a singular node or element.
    The reason is that, though your use case may have the elements assumed to be the same for all items, this isn't necessarily the case, so ByDesign won't assume that you can use that kind of logic.
    The simplest approach would be to do an On-Save at the Root node of the Purchase Order along the following lines:
    this.projecttaskpo = this.Item.GetLast().ItemAccountingCodingBlockDistribution.AccountingCodingBlockAssignment.ProjectTaskKey.TaskID;
    i wouldn't actually recommend this code.
    You'd need validations for IsInitial, IsSet, and those kinds of functions.
    i'd at least use some foreach loop to check that all the accounting coding blocks were for the same task, raise warnings if they weren't, etc.

  • How To Prevent the Purchase Order from Holding!

    Hi Experts,
    We use the method CHECK in BADI ME_PROCESS_PO_CUST to check custom data in purchase order, if error occurs then some error messages will be issued. We use below statements to issue error messages and also set the PO invalidate:
    INCLUDE mm_messages_mac.
    mmpur_message_forced 'E' 'ME' '083' text-097 '' '' ''.
    CALL METHOD IM_HEADER->invalidate( ).
    ch_failed = 'X'.
    Actually the BADI works well. But we try to prevent the user from HOLDING the purchase order if the BADI issue the error messages. It seemd that we can not get over this problem by BADI ME_PROCESS_PO_CUST. Can any friends give me some advice on the problem?? Thank you in advance.

    Hi Faheem,
       Thanks very much for your help. Your idea really works, but other problem occurs if we use this idea. If we issue an error message in EXIT_SAPMM06E_013 to prevent PO from being holding, all the PO data ( include header and items etc,) are cleared by program.
    At last, we negotiated with users and take a non-program step to prevent the PO from being hoding.
    Thanks.

  • How to extend Project Task in the Purchase Order header?

    Hi everybody,
    I am facing a problem I am sure is not so hard, but I cannot find my way through it.
    So, my objective is to extend the Purchase Order Header with the Project Task ID.
    I created the extension field first, as below:
    But I just cannot find how to populate it automatically from the data in the Project Task field.
    I tried a Relation in a BO extension going through the AccountingBlockAssignement, but it seems to not be functional.
    I also tried to make a Reference to the extension field and created an Event After Modify like:
    this.projecttaskpo = this.ExtensionForPO.content
    The Project Task PO is my reference to the extension field created in the Cloud Solution.
    And the ExtensionForPO is my relation to the TaskID:
    import AP.Common.GDT;
    import AP.Purchasing.Global as Purchasing;
    import AP.ProjectManagement.Global as ProjectManagement;
    import AP.IS.CodingBlock.Global as Coding;
    [Extension] businessobject AP.Purchasing.Global:PurchaseOrder {
      [Relation(Coding:AccountingCodingBlockDistribution.AccountingCodingBlockAssignment.ProjectTaskKey.TaskID)]
      [Label("Project ID")] element ExtensionForPO : TaskID;
        node Item {
    I am pretty sure this is not so hard, but I can't figure how to do it.
    The Task ID is in the Line Item so I do not understand why it could be so hard to add it in the Purchase Order Header.
    Moreover, when I try to make the path directly from the PurchaseOrder, like:
    PurchaseOrder.Item.ItemAccountingCodingBlockDistribution.AccountingCodingBlockAssignment.ProjectTaskKey.TaskID
    It returns to me that the association between Item and ItemAccountingCodingBlockDistribution is not a node. I know that, but it would be perfect if I could directly go from the Purchase Order BO to the Project Reference and the Project Tasks. But I cannot do that.
    Any help on this would be greatly appreciated as it is quite a recurring request from customers.
    I could have a misunderstanding in the process of doing it, or even in the code as I am a pure development newbie, so I m open to all propositions.
    Thank you all.
    Have a nice day.
