  • DELIVERY AND TRANSPORTATION SCHEDULE

    HI
How we configured delivery and transportation's schedule in sap please explain configuration steps
    Thanks in advance

    Hi Reddy,
    Delivery Scheduling and Transportation Scheduling
Shipping activities and transportation can be scheduled automatically in sales documents.
Picking/packing and loading, transportation scheduling and transportation can be planned and optimized on the basis of the dates determined.
There are two different types of scheduling:
    Delivery scheduling
The SAP System takes into account the pick/pack time and loading time for a transaction.
You define the type of delivery scheduling for each shipping point.
    Transportation scheduling
The SAP System takes into account the transit time and the transportation scheduling time for a transaction.
You define the type of transportation scheduling on the basis of the route (see sections "Route definition" and "Route determination").
You define for each sales document type whether delivery scheduling and/or transportation scheduling should be carried out.
For the dates to be determined automatically on the basis of the requested delivery for an order item, you must define both the times and what influences the determination of the date.
You need to carry out the following:
Define for each sales document type whether scheduling is to be carried out and, if so, which type.
Define the indicators for scheduling for each shipping point.
    Define:
    Pick/pack times
    Please fallow below steps:
SPRO > Logistic Execution > Shipping > Basic Shipping Functions > Scheduling > Delivery Scheduling and Transportation Scheduling
STEP 1: Define Scheduling by Sales Document type
Here have to assign your Sales Document type to your Del and Transportation Scheduling if the system what to carry the Scdheduling Automatically.
STEP 2: Define Scheduling by Shipping Point
Here if you want to carry Determine Loading time  and Determine Pick/Pack time Just select the "C"- Default for Shipping Point and give respective Hours/Days here.
    STEP 3: Maintain Working Hours
Here can maintain shift like ( Morning, Afternoon Shifts etc., with respective Start and Finish time.
    STEP 4:
Here we can difine duration for Shipping point,Routes, Pick/Pack time and Loading time.
Hope this solves your Purpose. Please Reward Points if really helpful,

  • Delivery and Shipment Scheduling with CPS

    Dear Experts,
I am tryijng to explore configurable process scheudling in APO to realize a business need of scheduling based on means of transport which in itself is conditional upon a couple of things..one of which is difference between RDD and order date. The purpose is to schedule "fast" or "slow" depending on certain criteria like order priority.. rather than having to live with a static TRANSIT times. Transit times itself can be highly variable talking of ocean shipments with transhipments etc being common and thats where the emphasis lies. I am not talking here of what if product is not available etc at this point (ATP) I am only interested in determining the material availability date and hence the ability to derive a more realistic unloading date given that I have some extenal feed of transit times.expected and actual (post facto)
    Quesiton:
    - Does this sound possible with configurable process scheduling
    - If so... pointers would be appreciated.
    Regards,
    Loknath

    Loknath
The condition table technique within CPS is almost exactly similar to the basic condition technique for transportation and shipment scheduling within GATP.
The only difference is that CPS is a lot more flexible - Instead of fixed activities for PICK/TRAN/etc, you can add more activities (HOLD/etc). In addition to duration determination, CPS can also do calendar determination/ time zone determination/ location determination using the condition technique.
So in either case, you still have the same limitations of condition tables - you cant have 'nested' logic and nor can the system pick the 'best' option.
TP/VS offers dynamic route determination. I believe this is still within the GATP check, but I could be wrong. See if it meets your requirement.

  • Forward and Backward Scheduling

I have a couple of related questions.
    1. Where can I configure if I want Forward/Backward Scheduling in Customization? and if I leave it blank will it do forward or backward scheduling?
    2. Does the system not perform backward scheduling if Replenishment Lead Time (RLT) is setup? If yes why?

    Hi,
Backward scheduling is the calculation of deadline dates: the arrival time at the customer site is calculated as the earliest
possible goods receipt time at the customers unloading point on the requested delivery date. All four of the delivery and
transportation scheduling lead times are subtracted from the customeru2019s requested delivery date to determine if this date can
    be met.
The transit time, loading time, and pick/pack time are subtracted from the customeru2019s requested delivery date to calculate the
    required material availability date.
The system calculates backward scheduling as follows:
Requested delivery date minus transit time  = Goods issue date
Goods issue date minus loading time = Loading date
Loading date minus transportation lead time = Transportation scheduling date
Loading date minus pick/pack time = Material availability date
Forward scheduling is also done if no product is available on the material availability date calculated by backward
scheduling. The system does an availability check to determine the first possible date when product will be available. This
new material availability date forms the starting point for scheduling the remaining activities.  The loading time, pick/pack time,
transit time, and transportation lead time are added to the new material availability date to calculate the confirmed delivery
    date.

  • Schedule Line Delivery Date Calculation with Transportation Scheduling

    Hi All,
We are currently running into a problem where our Sales Order Schedule Line delivery dates are being pushed out too far into the future - because of the Calendar being used to determine the transit time.
We have 'Delivery Scheduling' and 'Transportation Scheduling' activated for our Sales Document type
We have Routes that are configured with a 'Transit Time' and a 'Factory Calendar'
    Order Scenario:
'Factory Calendar' assigned to our 'Route' is setup with only one 'Workday' in a given week e.g. Wednesday
Our 'Route' has a Transit Time of 2 days
We create a Sales Order on Monday for a Material that is available in our Plant
The 'Goods Issue' date is being determined correctly for the next Workday - being Wednesday
The 'Delivery Date' is extending out over 15 days (2 Wednesdays into the future) - since it is working on 'Calendar Days' and not 'Actual Days'
Does anyone know of a way (config or other) to only influence the 'Goods Issue' date with the 'Factory Calendar' assigned to the Route, and have the 'Delivery Date' calculated using the Transit Time on the Route and 'Actual Days' rather than Calendar days?
    All help greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Ravelle<i></i>

    Hi Pathik,
Thanks for your reply.  I have already maintained the Calendars I'm using for this business process in <SCAL> - same as <OY05>.
The problem I'm having though is that by assigning a Calendar directly to my route (which I doing to influence the goods issue date - using a 1 Working Day Calendar) it is also taking precedence in determining the Transit time - which in this case I don't want, as I want my Transit time to be determined using a 5 Working Day Calendar.
I don't think this problem has a config option as a work around...I think the only possibility in this case is a development to achieve the results we need.
    Thanks,
    Ravelle

  • Stock transport scheduling agreement SD Delivery

    Dear Experts.
I am using stock transport scheduling agreement in order to show requirements from one plant to another plant belonging to the same company code.
Delivery to the Stock Sched Agreem will be managed  thru the SD delivery processes.
I use VL10I in order to create a delivery linked to the Sch Agrm, nevertheless the business processes requires that sometimes the delivery created is modified adding new materials.
    Need.
I have not found any option on the VL02N which would allow add a new material linking it to a specific sched agreement ---(this same option exists for the case that a new material is delivered and has to be added and linked to an existing customer order)
Does anybody know how can I do this from the delivery - VL02N??? I would prefer to avoid using VL10I again - which is actually the way I am getting this solved.
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Regards vpa

  • Explain How delivery date is calculated using backward and forward schedul

How can anyone please explain how delivery date is calculated using forward and backward scheduling
I want to have it broken down into the following steps
for eg for delivery date calculation following dates are used
    Material Availabilty Date
    Material Staging Date
    Pick/pack time
    Transportation PLanning date
    Loading date
    Goods issue date
    Transit Date
    Delivery Date
Can some one please give me an example and explain wht these dates are
for eg customer needs delivery date on  11/20/2008
how would the system cacluate whether it can meet the delivery date using backward scheduling
and if it doesnt meet how does the system do the forward scheduling
also i am not clear with the following dates
    material avaialibilty date
    material staging date
    transportation date
can some one please explain me all this in detail
    Thanks

    Hi,
Basically this is the CRSD(Customer requested ship date logic)logic in which system calculates the ship date depends upon the material availability. If material is available system calculates ship date on the basis of master data maintained in customisation.Master data is maintained in the  following link.
If material is not available then system takes into consideration vendor delivery date & then calculate customer ship date.
Please go through the link in SPRO
LE-Shipping -Basic shipping functions-Scheduling -Delivery scheduling & Transportation scheduling-Maintain duration.
In customisation following data is maintained
    Material Availabilty Date
    Material Staging Date
    Pick/pack time
    Transportation PLanning date
    Loading date
    Goods issue date
    Transit Date
    Delivery Date
Hope you got the idea of CRSD calculation

  • PGI Error Message for Stock Transport Scheduling Agreement Delivery

    Hello,
I have created a delivery from an inter-company stock transport scheduling agreement. The stock is picked and TO confirmed, however, upon PGI of the delivery I receive the following message, has anybody and ideas of the root cause?
    Message - E M7 153
Purchase order XXX does not contain items for a stock transfer
    Thanks.

Make sure the items you are trying to deliver from the scheduling agreement have item category "U - stock transfer". If the item category is different, you will receive such error.
    Hope this helps

  • Link between Delivery and Sales Order Schedule Line

    Hi Gurus,
I have a requirement in which i need to display quantity and amount at schedule line level and also the delivery and delivery item for each schedule line.
For example, if there is a sales order O1 and item 10 for which we have 3 schedule lines and 3 deliveries as well say D1, D2 and D3.
Report should be something like this
Sales Order    Item   Schedule Line    Delivery    Del Item   Confirmed Order Qty
    O1                 10      1                       D1           10            5
    O1                 10       2                      D2            10            5
    O1                 10       3                      D3            10            4
How can i determine that a particular delivery corresponds to which schedule line of that saler order-item?
We have the link between delivery and sales order but is there any way that we can get the link of delivery at schedule line level?
    Please help.
    Regards,
    Gaurav

    Hi,
I suppose you must check with SD functional consultant and the post should also be in the logistics SD forum and not BI. But I suppose there is know specific link between the schedule line of SO to the Delivery. It is more like a bucket flow for ex.
Sale order   Item    Schedule line  qty
    SO1            Item1     Sch1            10
    SO2            Item1      Sch2           10
    Delivery Item QTy
    DO1       IT1   15
    DO2       IT1    5
In this case qty 15 is distributed over both SO1 and SO2, and SO2 ITem1 Sch2 has link to both the DOs
So I am not sure if you can establish a one to one link, please check with your SD consultants.

  • How to compare delivery date in schedule lines and PGI in outbound delivery

    Hi,
I want to create a report to monitor and compare different dates in sales and delivery process.
One of my key figure is the comparison between date confirmed to the customer, that I can find in the schedule line of the sales order, and the actual goods issue date from the outbound delivery.
But I can't succeed in making the link between delivery and schedule lines, means between LIKP and VBEP.
    Would you have any idea?
    Thank you.

It seems there's no exact (table) connection / link between delivery item and schedule line item.
Those who were searching for this thing (link / connection between delivery item and schedule line) were recommended to use FM "RV_SCHEDULE_CHECK_DELIVERIES".
This FM calculates the delivered quantity for each schedule line, so it makes link between the delivery item and schedule lines - however if you check the code it's quite sophisticated...
(if you put a breakpoint in the FM and display a SO in VA03, you can check how the parameters have to be populated with data).

  • Schedule for del stock display even after delivery and goods receipt

Hi, Please suggest me for below scenario...
I have a scenario where we does STO and then delivery against outbound and performs goods receipt. in MMBE the stock is still displaying under schedule for delivery and also in MD04 even the stock is deducted from supplying plant and performed goods receipt at receiving plant..also stock is displaying at receiving plant..why the stock is still displaying in stock for del at sending plant..in general what happens when we does goods receipt against outbound delivery or when we does against STO?

    ok sir ;
No i don't talke abouat STP i don't have any transit stock it's a simpl sales based on global purchas
-first with me21n i created global purchas order
-the sales will be picked from this purchas .
-delivery is assigned automatically to this purchas order  with user exit.
-with vl02n in goods issue steps there is tow operations ( stock mvt 101 in purchas assignement and a normal 601 for delivery )

  • Delivery block on the line item and on schedule line

why are there two delivery block on the line item and on schedule line  respectively in the sales order? which one is exactly used for blocking delivery order from creating ? thank you very much!

    Hi
The reason being, each line item can have more than one schedule line. If the line item has only one schedule line, the block at item level or SchLine level gives the same result. If the line item has two schedule lines, and if you want to block only specific delivery(one among the two schedule lines) the block at item level blocks both the deliveries and if you use delivery block at schedule line level, you can block only the required scheduled delivery.
    Thanks,
    Ravi

  • Scheduling agreement with Delivery and Periodic billing

    Hi Gurus
Can anybody suggest the process if available, having scheduling agreement -
    delivery --- and periodic billing.
    Thanks
    MM

    Hi there,
Is is possible. Define a scheduling aggrement with mentioning the required delivery dates. This will convert as schedule lines.
When the item is due, delivery will be created.
Define a periodic billing type & assign it to your billing type. Define the validity period for your periodic billing.
Make sure you define the copy controls from delibery - invoice.
