Delivery failure messages

Today, for the first time, I've received several "Delivery Notification: Delivery has failed" messages.  The message states, "Your access to this mail system has been rejected due to the sending MTA's poor reputation."  I have a mac.com email and have never had this happen before.  What's the fix, please???

Hello,
I have had similar issues recently, with non delivery of Mail resulting in errors such as Your IP on the Banned list, other indicating that the IP is linked to Spam etc etc.
I was advised to find an alternative outgoing SMTP server, so i now use p01-smtp.mail.me.com, and the errors have stopped but for how long???

I am receiving Mail delivery failure messages for emails I have not sent; they are addressed to contacts I've never heard of, many different. Apparently, this is some kind of spam but I don't know what to do about it.

There is nothing you can do about it. It will stop at some point.

  • HT201412 My iMessage keeps giving me a delivery failure message

Does anyone know why my iMessage keeps giving a "delivery failure" message ever since I downloaded the lasted iOS ?

Sometimes, all that you need to do is to close the app and reset the iPad. I would start with that.
To close apps in iOS 5 or iOS 6  -Tap the home button once. Then tap the home button twice and the recents tray will appear at the bottom of the screen. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner of the app that you want to close. Tap the home button twice.
To close an app in iOS 7 - drag the app up from the multitasking display. Double tap the home button and you will see apps lined up going left to right across the screen. Swipe to get to the app that you want to close and then swipe "up" on the app preview thumbnail to close it.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.

  • Blackberry .. delivery failure message

We can't receive any e-mail sent from our company domain to Blackberry id( [email protected])  But it is possible to receive e-mail in this ID from other Domains, . and also it is possible to send e-mail from this blackberry ID to any other ID including our domain.   We are using one of another ID created on  our domain  through this Blackberry device and it is working fine, i.e. we can send mails to this ID from any other Domains including our domain
Pl help to sort out this issue
Both Airtel and our domain maintenance team are still helpless to solve this problem
    thanks
    Anil

Hi Anil, try either resending the service books to the device from your BIS login Page (I would assume India still falls under the Asia Pacific region so try https://bis.ap.blackberry.com/html?brand=airtel ) and log in using your account name and password.
Also the other option that would accomplish the same thing is go to Options->Advanced Options->Host Routing Table in there either click the Trackwheel or the BB menu Button (depending on what device you have) and select "Register Now"
That may or may not resolve the issue, but at least it will give us somewhere to start from.
Of all the things I've lost, I miss my mind the most!

  • Delivery Failure/Delivery Notification: Delivery has failed issues

Anyone getting  hundreds of emails that seem to have been sent from your mac.com account but you haven't them or know any of the receipents? Delivery failure messages are coming from [email protected] and [email protected]
I was on the phone with Apple Express Lane and the support tech tried really hard to help me but couldn't.  He is asking me to figure out who sent the email and tell them to stop.  I'm no techogeek and don't even know where to start.
Does anyone know how to stop these fraudulent emails from cloggin up my email on all my devices?
I get from 50-100 a day and it is really annoying to delete them everyday.
Here is a sample of the  header I get:
This report relates to a message you sent with the following header fields:
    Message-id: <[email protected]>
    Date: Mon, 18 Jun 2012 06:00:00 +0200
From: Wvvke lcmhw <[email protected]>  <----i removed my email address
To: [email protected], [email protected]      <--- i removed the long list recipients emails none of which I know
Subject: fobiqe  <------many different subjects this is just an example of one
    The long header reads:
    Return-path <>
    Received: from st11b01mm-asmtp205.mac.com ([17.172.48.68]) by ms02534.mac.com (Oracle Communications Messaging Server 7u4-24.01 (7.0.24.0) 64bit (built Jan 3 2012)) with ESMTP id <[email protected]> for [email protected]; Mon, 19 Jun 2012 12:14:48 +0000 (GMT)
    Original-recipient: rfc822; [email protected]
Too lazy to hand jam the whole header...Any help, suggestions etc to stop this annoyance?

When people receive emails which appear to come from their own address but they haven't sent they naturally tend to be concerned: however it's most unlikely that anyone has hacked their account, they've just been targeted by one of two common spammers' techniques: both arise because it's all too easy to forge the 'from' address on messages to be something other than the real one.
There are two things that can happen. One is that the sender has forged the 'from' address to be the same as the 'to' address (so other people will see it coming from themselves, not you), presumably in the hope of confusing spam filters. It's harmless, if extremely annoying. Delete it (never ever answer spam or try to unsubscribe from it), and you don't need to be worried about it.
The other problem - which appears to be what is affecting you - is that a spammer is forging your address as the 'from' address on a whole batch of messages. The first thing you hear about this is when you start getting bounce messages because the spam has been sent to non-existent addresses and is being bounced to you. There's no point at all in responding to it. It's infuriating but normally stops after a bit as they move on to another forged address.
There isn't really anything you can do about it: closing the account isn't really worth the hassle unless you are totally swamped, because you will have to tell everyone your new address. Apple can't really do any more than they already are about spam.

  • Why do senders receive a delivery failure notice although messages are being received?

Why do senders receive a delivery failure notice although messages are being received?

What you have there is either a jailbroken unit with some crazy custom UI or an eastern knockoff. Give us some photos of the ipad itself, mainly the back and some experts can help.
If you plug it into iTunes does iTunes even acknowledge that an ipad is connected? If it does then try a restore.
Failing that, head down to an apple store and see what they can do for you.

  • I have an error message 0xc18a0406 (ink delivery failure)

How do you fix error message 0xc18a0406 for Photosmart C7280.  I am using Windows 7.  I can not find the answer in the Manual.

This is unhelpful answer from the HP support. What we have is a specific error code from a specific printer. Somewhere in the software, an engineer created this error message for a specific reason. What I get from this message is a generic: "I really don't know what the problem is, but if you reboot the system and the problem goes away, we're good right (The printer itself gives you that suggestion)? If not, its trash. Hope you're still under warranty. If not, go buy another printer." How many years of training did HP put this person through to give that answer? Perhaps it isn't a person after all? Perhaps it is just the auto responder to any question people have with an error code that begins "0x..."? Who is this person who's been responsible for so many posts and yet gets no Kudos? Isn't that a symptom of something wrong with customer support? Where is the button to say "No Kudos" or "Minus 1 Kudo for this post." It's unhelpful because it doesn't really help solve the problem or even indicate what the problem is. "Ink delivery failure" when the cartridges have been HP cartridges throughout the working life of this printer means it is a cheap printer made from cheap parts with software that is too complicated to debug completely. So it is stuck? Clogged? Broke? Unfixable? Comatose? Not worth explaining?
"Relax, its a $200 printer when new. To really fix it would require a $50 part and $100 in labor. Better to go buy a new one if your warranty has expired."
"But I've got $120 in ink cartridges for the **bleep** thing?"
"Think of those as collector items."
"Ugh, it seems that the half-life of HP printers has been declining for the last decade. Instead of needing to buy a new printer every 5 years its getting close to 5 months."
    "HP Shareholders thank you."
    "%&@#*)*$+"
"Can I help you with anything else? Perhaps you would like to see these beautiful photographs of smiling people and trees in a meadow?"

How do I stop getting dozens and dozens of delivery failure notces in my email for emails I never sent? Is this spam? Or have I been hacked?

Well what is it? Google? Yahoo?

  • Regd delivery failures

    Hi All,
I have gone thru the chain of mails and got confused.
We would like to implement applicaiton sending email. As part of this we would like to trace the email delivery.
Wt I understood from the posting is there is no guaranteed way that message is delivered or not.Though we added some headers, the receiver server may block sending receipts.Plz correct me if my understanding is wrong?
Also woudl like ot know while sending mail senders SMTP servers returns any message id or something unique.
And if we recieve a delivery failure can we identify with that unique id which message was not delivered ..something like this.Bcoz applicaiton will be sending many mails with same sender id and reciever id on same day.
Please provide your inputs on the best design also.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Goodspeed

  • Watches/Notifications vs. JMS Delivery Failures

    Hi there,
I'm trying to configure an automatic email notification (using a custom WL diagnostic module) for all unexpected errors taking place at the level of my application server. For most errors, this seems to work just fine.
Unfortunately, JMS delivery failures (i.e. message redirected to error destination due to timeout or error on consumer-side) do not (yet?) seem to show-up in my WebLogic server log and consequently do not cause any of my server log watchers to fire and send-out a corresponding mail. They shows-up in the JMS server log, though.
    So here come my questions:
    1) In general, whats the best way to include JMS delivery failures in my WebLogic email notifications?
    2) How to make sure JMS delivery failures get included in my standard WebLogic server log, as well?
    3) How to define a diagnostic watcher that triggers on each message added to the JMS server log itself?
    Thanks in advance,
    Chris

  • OSB singlethreaded processing PS not working when delivery failure is set

    Hi,
    Below is my process flow
    JMSQ -> JMS PS -> BS - > Endpoint
So i have the requirement to send the messages one at a time so i did 2 settings
    1. JMS connection -> Max messages per session =1
    2. Created WorkManager with Max threads 1
This works fine in case of normal processing
But now i have a requriement to add a redelivery limit and redelivery interval in the Queue to route to error queue in case of error
So in the delivery failure tab i changed the values..
So when i do this change all the messages are consumed at once retried and roll backed. I need messages to be consumed one by one and retried.
Am i missing some thing? Or singletonprocessing wont work with ReDelivery can anyone please suggest?
    Appreciate your help.

    Any suggestions on this?

  • Create a rule on mail delivery failure

    Hello,
Is it possible to create a rule in the Groupwise client, that when a message bounce back (mail delivery failure) from our relay provider, that the email will be forwarded to an internal recipient.
At the moment I cant get it to work. Moving that bounced email to a folder in Groupwise does work.
