Delivery of "Cached" Messages

I'm trying to set up a destination that will deliver "cached" messages to clients that may have connected/subscribed to the destination after a particular message was put into the destination. For example
9:00 client A suscribes
9:05 "blah" gets put into the destination, client A gets the message
9:06 client B suscribes and also gets the cached message "blah"
I've tried to set the following
ServerSettings serverSettings = new ServerSettings();
serverSettings.setMaxCacheSize(1000);
serverSettings.setMessageTTL(0);
serverSettings.setDurable(false);
destination.setServerSettings(serverSettings);
According to the docs, the last 1000 messages should be cached and they will live until the server shutdown. However my client B doesn't get delayed delivery of the message that was pumped in before it came on line.
I want to do this without a JMS queue. If the settings I'm using aren't meant for this, what are they suspose to do?? And what should I be doing to enable the senario I described.

In our production environment, we sometime get the following error (Channel Audit Log):

2009-01-12 15:08:47 Error Delivery of the message to the application using connection SOAP_http://sap.com/xi/XI/System failed, due to: com.sap.aii.af.ra.ms.api.RecoverableException: Couldn't find delivery channel for message: 496b9e98-9466-0109-e100-8000ac10a218.
2009-01-12 15:08:47 Error The message status set to NDLV.
This particular interface runs around 100 times a day without any issues, however around once or twice a month we get this error.
This is a synchronous interface.
Could be because of number of threads alloted for Synchronous messages in Visual Admin.

I got one issue some domain can't send email to us getting this message
" Requested #571 Delivery not authorized, message refused ##"
Actually nothing issue before I reused the exchange certificate at my exchange server.
Here is how do I issue the certificate
get-exchangecertificate
copy all thumbprint normally 4.
get-exchangecertificate -thumbprint (paste thumbprint) |new-exchangecertificate
I did it for all thumbprint and finally remove old
get-exchangecertificate -thumbprint (paste thumbprint) |remove-exchangecertificate
And I do not use any 3rd-party anti-spam. BTW, I am not that experience user for those exchange
administration however I have fixed it.

Did you look through the NDR completely and did you see the NDR was generated from which server ?
Was the NDR generated from our server or its remote server ?
Did you look through the receive connector protocol logs and look for any errors generated in protocol logs ?
Can you please have a look at the message tracking logs as well to see if we get any info
Post your comments after having look at these things so that we will get a clear idea of the problem

Scheduled delivery of individual messages

I've ready through the forum and have found a way to deliver a JMS message at some point in time by setting the producer:
          ((weblogic.jms.extensions.WLMessageProducer) qsender).setTimeToDeliver(cal.getTime().getTime());
          However, I do NOT want to affect every message sent by the producer, as this method seems to do.
          I want to be able to set a time of delivery for individual messages. Is this the purpose of the DeliveryTime header? How do I set this properly; will this work:
          objectMessage.setLongProperty("DeliveryTime", deliverDate.getTime())

This is how I've solved the problem of setting a delivery time for individual messages. My unit tests confirm it works as expected, it just feels like a hack.

Cache messages in JMS

Is there a mechanism of caching messages in MSMQ or JMS where I need to code to fetch these messages and later process them.
Any links to any url supporting this feature is appreciated.

Just use the JMS API or a JMS-like API for the programming language of your choice and you should get the benefit of message-caching.

"Updating boot caches" message

I periodically get a "Updating boot caches" message when shutting down. I click "okay" and wait.
Nothing seems to happen - I left it in this state overnight in case some long process was involved - the following morning all I had was a desktop background with no icons, menus, taskbar or pointer. Had to hard re-boot.
Clearly something is wrong. Any suggestions?

Same thing happens to me after the 10.5.7 update and combo update. Also my clock no longer displays in the menu bar. I have to do a hard shut down every time.

Delivery has failed message to iCloud account

I regularly email a friend with an iCloud account and receive back a "Delivery has failed to these recipients or groups" message. She is actually getting the emails, but iCloud/MobileMe is trying to forward the emails to a nonexistant account and that causes it to bounce back to me (and presumably everyone else who sends her email). This is a user who has had Mac mail since the beginning of time, first a "DotMac" account, then a "MobileMe" account and now "iCloud". Evidentally this was caused by the transition to iCloud from her former account. Being nontechnical she tried to fix mail problems by creating a new iCloud account, which of course did not fix anything and created this problem where her real email address attempts to forward mail to a nonexistant email address, both theoretically sourced on iCloud. The Genius Bar guy told her it would automatically fix itself in June, which is both ridiculous and difficult to believe that it will self-repair.
Yes she's called and talked to Apple about it. It seems to me that there is a reference on the mail server that is causing emails to her real account to be forwarded to the not-real account. This reference can't be deleted? My friend has given up on getting it fixed. Any chance someone at Apple is willing to do something about it?

No on both replies.... I confirmed the same behavior with a different user that was able to send to all 1100 users before also...so it doesn't seem to be user specific.
I did try it again w the original user- this time the send log showed 0 unresolved recipients- and seemed to look normal- yet the sender received the same undelivered message and the emails were not sent\received.

" unable to allocate space from the buffer cache" Message

Hi
I am trying to delete a large volume or records from a BTREE database. I have used the DB_SET_RANGE with a cursor to locate the desired records. After that the Dbc::get() with DB_NEXT is called. After deleting a considerable amount of records I am receiving a message in the error callback function as "unable to allocate space from the buffer cache".
What might be the reason for such a message.

Nisam,
This means that the cache is full and there are no pages that BDB can evict to make space. Are you running with the default cache size? You can increase the cache size by calling: dbenv->set_cachesize or db->set_cachesize.

You can only get Read receipts if the person you are messaging has enabled Read Receipts in their own settings menu.
Delivery notifications are on by default, and appear below the last message sent.
Note that these only work with iMessage, the blue messages.

PURGE CACHE MESSAGE-.ugggh!

I keep getting a message that says I need to purge the Cache. When I go to preferences and try, the window freezes. Nothing happens. I have to force quite out of Bridges. Also, ever since I started using the creative cloud my photoshop freezes up. Never had that issue before. Any suggestions? I have 100 photos to process so any help would be GREATLY appreciated. Could you provide details about what exact version of Bridge and OS you are using on what computer?
Meanwhile if you have pointed Bridge to a folder you can also purge cache for that folder using menu tools / cache/ purge cache for folders to see if that helps.

Requested Delivery Date (Warning Message Box)

We are currently doing some testing in Sales Order creation and suddenly a dialogue box is appearing when we change the Requested Delivery Date and First Date fields to the current date.
The Message Reads :
Planned delivery dates exist for the customer.
The requested delivery date is not a planned date.
Select a requested delivery date.
11.06.2007 Current Requested Delivery Date
12.06.2007 Next Planned Delivery Date
Please can you advise how it would be possible to switch this message off.

Try the following,
Say you get your delivery number in a variable v_delno (table VBFA), then where you are displaying the message
message 'Your delivery number is &' with v_delno type 'I'.
Output will replace & with the value contained in variable v_delno.

Can't create kext cache message

I get multiples of this message:
com.apple.kextd[10] Can't create kext cache under / - owner not root.
Just curious as everything works OK.

This can be fixed by doing the following command:
sudo chown root:admin /
After that I performed the following in an AppleScript editor window entering admin password when prompted:

Do you still have this issue? You can turn off email notifications (under the Options Tab > Email Notifications in FormsCentral) if you do not wish to receive any email when a form is submitted
