I hav a simple ADF BC Application with a own jar Archive.
In the Deployment Profile i set the JAR file under Application>>Contributes to Deploy
I Test the Application and throw the Exception
java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: org.timu.bugzilla.JBug
How can i deloy the Application with the own JAR File ??

I'll check this out, but if it is a security problem, then shouldn't I be having problems with other libraries such as the dbutils that I'm using?
Also, if this is the case should I be seeing occurances of "AccessControlException" in my server log file? All I am getting is ClassDefNotFound.
Is there any way to package the jar file into my war object so it gets deployed with my application?

How to enable full autocomplete description with own JAR ?

Hi there,
To put my problem simply: I've created a JAR file and wish to utilize it within another Java project. Therefor I've imported the JAR file in my project path (I've done this in Eclipse and IntelliJ) and in both IDEs the JAR file works just fine.
But... I wish to use the autocompletion (yes, I'm a bit lame) in both IDEs. Now, whenever I import and call a function of a standard class (like java.util.Vector i.e.), the autocomplete pops up when writing the call to that specific function (i.e. add(Object o)). The autocomplete shows:
- the parameter names & types;
- the return type.
Now that's what I like to see also when calling a function of a self written class included in my own JAR. The only thing the autocomplete shows is the parameter types, not their names.
How on earth do I enable my autocompletion to show also the names of the parameters ?
I thought the blame could be the IDEs, but it's rather unlikely when two different IDEs behave similar in this matter. And it's not a bug in JAR itself. Perhaps I'm missing a specific argument when I jar up *.class files (I even tried to jar up the *.java files along, but without any results). Or perhaps it is something totally not possible (but I doubt that).
So, who's got the answer to this matter? Thanks in advance!

autocompletion on.With an "import" statement, or do you mean you added its JAR to the build path? I mean the former. That sometimes helps, and usually works for me.
An example of how the a.c. looks like with a standard
Java class/import:

Well... may I safely assume that you neither included the Javadocs nor the source code in that JAR? How would the IDE know what you call your parameters like? The binary code doesn't tell.

Eclipse would be far superiour than IntelliJ and

Browser Capability of JavaFX application with dependancy jars

I am working in javafx Project, i have an issue in launching the application in browser, getting error to load the dependency jars and dependency projects. Please someone help on this.

I wonder what you expect to happen now. "Something goes wrong, please someone help". I assure you there are people who would like to help, but with no information at all they really can't do anything.
So provide more information. What steps are you taking to deploy the application? What error do you get -exactly-; don't try to describe it, post the exact error that you get.

As you could notice in the yellow highlighted one that am referring to weblogic.jar from bea installation folder. Now if I use the weblogic.jar from the installation folder then build happens successfully.
However if I copy weblogic.jar to some other location say : C:\Jeevesh DEV\ULM Core\UnitLinkCore\UnitLink\nordea-ulc\lib\weblogic.jar

Building a simple field based application with OA framework

Hello everyone,
I have an assignment to build a simple form that takes in some parameters and in which some of the fields will be validated with a value set. Using the information from this form, I then have to use the parameters in a PL/SQL function/procedure and return a value of successful or not.
Basically a simple form based application.
I was wondering if it is possible to do this in OA Framework. All I hear about is extensions and personalizations but is it possible to build a simple application with it?
Also, can anyone point me to a good tutorial showing how to build a simple application in OA framework?
Or if OA framework won't do the job, can I use ADF (on oracle 11i) to accomplish this?

Deploying application with several web modules having the same context root

Hi,
I would like to be able to deploy an application in Weblogic 12c having one ejb module and several web modules with the same context root. Even though the web modules have the same context root, each of them is deployed to a different virtual host.
Weblogic allows deploying the modules this way as long as their targets are different (i.e. each having a distinct virtual host). However this works only when I don't select a target for the .ear:

web2.war WEBAPP virtualHost2
However if I select as target for the .ear to be AdminServer, the deployment doesn't work anymore, complaining that the context roots are in conflict.
If I remove web2.war from the .ear and deploy the .ear and .jar to AdminServer and web1.war to virtualHost1, the deployment works but the strange thing is that the web application can be accessed also through the AdminServer's main network channel, even though I would expect that it should be accessible only through virtualHost1 network channel. I believe this is the reason why there are context root conflicts when specifying a target for the .ear, because both wars are made accessible to the main network channel.
The reason why I want to keep the wars inside the same .ear is because I want to make them access the application's local EJBs (since as far as I know it's not possible to access a local EJB outside the application even if they belong to the same VM).
Is there a way to deploy the web modules only to the virtual hosts without being targeted to the main network channel?

Always used 1 main account. Started using individual user accounts. So how do I use software or applications with a lot of data like Quicken under my own user account?

I recently upgraded our family's mac to OS X. I thought this was the perfect time to create and use "user accounts". We had always used 1 main account. So how do I use software or applications with a lot of data like Quicken under my own user account? I wanted to be able to manage my own itunes library, iphone apps, messages. But I still really need to use the Stuff I have in Quicken essentials. I don't want to have to restart all my work done in Quicken already.

I haven't used Quicken in a while, but most applications store your files in your Documents folder. Is that where your Quicken data file is? What you do next depends on how many family members need to get at that data.
If multiple family members need to use the Quicken data file, try moving it to the Documents folder in the Shared account. That is an account that all accounts can see. It's at the same level as the other accounts. In other words, Shared is one level up from your Home account, or Hard Drive/Users/Shared.
If you're the only one allowed to see that Quicken data, move the Quicken data file from the old main account to your account, and don't leave a copy behind. You can use the Shared folder as a way station for the transfer since you won't be able to see both accounts' Documents folders at the same time (because you're not allowed to peek into other people's accounts). Or you can use another disk or server for the transfer, as long as you can get to it when logged into either account.

Issue with CIS jar version - cis-application-8.0.0.jar on content server

We are having a problem adding this jar to our custom component. We are using this APIs to check-in some programatically.
Following is the error when we try to deploy our component with this jar

The content server version is 10.1.3.3.
And the jar version is cis-application-8.0.0.jar. We are able to use the same jar standalone. What could be the problem? Should we need to upgrade to a diffrent jdk version? I am worried that might cause more problems.

So far I have been looking at only CHECKIN_NEW_FORM and CHECKIN_SEL_FORM services for creating and updating content. items These services require files to be attached. I checked the definitive guide and found that there are 2 other similar services,CHECKIN_NEW and CHECKIN_SEL, that don't need the file to be attached. Instead we can specify the file path of the primary file. Since the xml content file to be checked is in th content server itlsef, these services can be used in my case. Moreover since my content checkin logic is in the context of a service, my code become more simpler.
I began working on it and am calling executeServiceSimple("CHECKIN_NEW") or executeServiceSimple("CHECKIN_SEL") based on whether the content to be checked in is new or to be updated. I am setting all the metadata values of the content file in the m_binder local data of the service object.
I thought this should work cleanly but I am getting the below error

I printed out all the local data in the m_binder object. The primaryFile value is pointing to the right file path. The file is also been created in the correct location.
The dID, dDocName, dOriginalFile, dRevLabel values are all set properly. But still I am getting this error. I am not able to figure out the cause of this. Please help. Is this approach incorrect?

Hi Lisa,
I know from experience that this must be a frustrating situation for you especially if you don't want to loose the music/video content that is currently on your ipod. Unfortunately though you may have to consider re-syncing it as it thinks its currently synced with another computer.
If you bought any music that is on the ipod through itunes you can opt to right click the ipod in itunes and 'transfer purchases' if you authorise your library in the 'Store' menu in itunes. Some reasons for this happening may include some of the following:
Deleting and reinstalling your itunes on the computer.
Removing the account you had on the computer you used itunes in and making a new one. (User account, eg: Lisa).
Changing computers in the past.
A friend or family member syncing it on their computer to give you there music.
A sign of a failing iPod.
Alternatively you can opt to not sync it and keep the music that is on your ipod there but this means you will never be able to update your ipod.

Go into Time Machine (the program not the bundle on the extrnal disk) and using Time Machine's browser go to the Folder where the library lives. You could look in the library bundle in Time Machine but that won't really tell you much,
If you want to make sure it truely has backed up your library you will need to restore it and open the restored library with Aperture.
If all this still has you confused you need to read up on Time Machine in order to get a feel for how it works, for what it is doing and for how to restore files from it.

Error R6034 in simple MFC Application with OCCI

I´m new to the whole occi-topic, and have a little problem.
After about 3 days of try and error and endless searching through forums I finally managed to make my first application with occi to run. It´s a Win32 console application.
After a little "celebration" I startet to create a MFC application with the same base functions.
If I compile the project, I get an error "R6034" when the compiler tries to access the file: "msvcp80d.dll". I think it has something to do with the manifests.

I already tried some "workarounds" and played with the manifests, but had no success.

I assume you have the manifest tool (mt) somewhere on your system - I just open a "Visual Studio Command Prompt" when I have to use with it.
Something you can try (I'm not certain it will resolve your issue though):
1. Open a Visual Studio Command Prompt and change directories to %ORACLE_HOME%\OCI\lib\MSVC\vc8
2. Copy the existing dll files to save them:
copy oraocci10.dll oraocci10.dll.orig
copy oraocci10d.dll oraocci10d.dll.orig
3. Use the mt tool to embed the provided manifest files (you should already have these files in the directory):
mt -manifest oraocci10.dll.manifest -outputresource:oraocci10.dll;2
mt -manifest oraocci10d.dll.manifest -outputresource:oraocci10d.dll;2
NOTE: This is not an Oracle-specific procedure. The manifest tool is used by Visual Studio itself when building projects.
4. Depending on how you have your system configured, copy the oraocci10(d).dll files to a backup copy as before in whatever directories you have them and then copy the "new" files with the embedded manifest to those locations.
For example, on my development machine, I have copied the files to %ORACLE_HOME%\bin so that I do not have to include %ORACLE_HOME%\OCI\lib\MSVC\vc8 in my path.
