Error: Illegal destination type 'H'

Hello All,
We've maintained an RFC destination type 'H' for the ALE connection from the HR system to FI. When running tcode PC00_M99_CIPE the following error is received:
System error during RFC call BAPI_FIXACCOUNT_GETLIST: Illegal destination type 'H'
Any ideas?

Hi,
The /sap/bc/soaprfc is the "old style" generic node for calling RFC as web services.
It is used up to WAS 6.20.
Beginning with WAS 6.40, it is still there and funcional but you are supposed to use the new web service implementation with one SICF node per RFC module function.
In that case, You can create an HTTP destination per function module to call.
If you just test the HTTP destination from SM59, you will, of course, get an error because you just send a GET to the URL which does not respect the SOAP protocol.
What you need to do is to create a web service proxy from the WSDL.
Regards,
Olivier

• Error in creating JCo connection with destination type'Load-Balanced Con'

Hi,
I am working on webdynpro application(NW 04s), i need to connect with the backend system(ECC 6.0) using model.I configured my SLD and created technical system successfully.
The technical system got created with an error:
CIM_ERR_ALREADY_EXISTS: Instance already exists: SAP_BCApplicationServer.CreationClassName="SAP_BCApplicationServer",Name="ID1.Number.01.HostName.ahsides"
But the system got created so I proceeded with Jco connection creation:
I need to create 2 Jco connections for this,
First with Data Type 'Application Data' & Destination Type 'Single-Server connection'. Second with Data Type 'Data Dictionary' & Destination type 'Load-balanced Connection'.
The first Jco with 'Single-Server connection' got created successfully and ping and test is also successfull.
The second Jco connection with 'Load-Balanced Connection' got created successfull but it is throwing error while pinging and testing.
Ping Error : Failed to ping JCo destination 'WD_EMPLOYEE_RFC_METADATA_DEST'.
Test Error : com.sap.mw.jco.JCO$Exception: (102) JCO_ERROR_COMMUNICATION: JCO.Client not connected in repository call
Please help me in this. This problem was with 'Load-Balanced Connection' only.

Hi,
Have you taken a look at the file %windir%\system32\drivers\etc\services?
If you haven't, try and find the line sapms<sid>, where sid is de SID of the system you-re trying to reach.
If the line isn't there write it down like this.
sapms<sid> 36<nr>/tcp
That works for me.

Hi all,
Thanks for your replies.
Manish: Where do I see that the storage bin is created with respect to storage type? I was checking LS03N where I can see that the storage bin is created for storage section and storage bin type. Configuraiton is like below:
Storage Bin search Strategy:
(1) By storage section: Not active
(2) By Stotage Bin type - Active and the storage bin type is assigned to a storage type.
I have one storage bin available (Bulk Storage) for the selected storage Bin type BUT it is not automatically searched by the process. Material master has WM view1 with storage type indicator and there is a config for storage type search which is working good. The only issue is searching storage bin while creating TO during Goods movement, in particular Put away. Also please note that the storage bin is not hardcodes in material master).
This error happens for all the scenarios (unrestricted, blokced or when WM stock is initial or when the materrial is created first time and subject the WM movements).
When I first started this question I thought that the error happens only for Blocked status. Actually it is happening for all the scenatios when the WM stock in initial.
Hope my scenarios are clear. Thanks in advance for your help again.
Best regards

Report Scripts, DATAEXPORT command, JEXPORT are some types of ways to select an area of the database and export the data though it all depends on how corrupted the databas is to whether you will be able to get any of the data out.
It is probably worth having a read of the following doc in Oracle Support "Error "1006060 - Invalid block header: Block numbers do not match -- Please use the IBH Locate/Fix utilities to find/fix the IBH problem" [ID 596748.1]"
It is not exactly the same error but it gives suggestions on attempting to fix the error.
You might be out of luck if you did not take regular backups.
Cheers

• Data error (invalid data type 17) in a Remote Function Call

Hi,
I am passing 2 select-option tables to RFC.
Tables have structures -
Table1 SIGN(C1)
OPTION(C2)
HIGH(C6)
LOW(C6)
Table2 SIGN(C1)
OPTION(C2)
HIGH(C20)
LOW(C20)
At the destination side, I have created two table types which have same structure.
But when I call the RFC , program terminates with error - "Data error (invalid data type 17) in a Remote Function Call"
Not able to understand the reason for this error. Please help.
Thanks,
Sujeet

Hi,
check out this example
[LINK|http://abap.googlar.eu/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=28]
You have several ranges that you can use like RANGE_AUF.
Function example:
FUNCTION zexemple.
*"*"Interface local:
*" IMPORTING
*" REFERENCE(R_HORA) TYPE FLAG
*" REFERENCE(R_DIA_1) TYPE FLAG
*" REFERENCE(P_IDOC) TYPE FLAG
*" EXPORTING
*" REFERENCE(MSG) TYPE CHAR255
*" TABLES
*" T_OIFSPBL STRUCTURE OIFSPBL
*" SL_PBLNR STRUCTURE RANGE_PBLNR
*" SL_MATNR STRUCTURE RANGE_MATNR
*" SL_HORA STRUCTURE RANGE_UZEIT
*" T_ERROS STRUCTURE ZARSTRING
ENDFUNCTION.
Report:
SELECT-OPTIONS: sl_pblnr FOR oirbpblb-pblnr,
sl_matnr FOR a361-matnr.
~
Final question:
You are passing the values using TABLES and not IMPORTING right?

• Help Configuring BLOBDestination pluggable report destination type

Hi Folks
I am having problems configuring the BLOBDestination pluggable report destination type on our Oracle 10g mid-tier. Although I believe I have placed the jar file in the correct directory and updated the correct configuration file I am not sure as the details of directory name and configuration file name were not present. Obviously assuming I knew more than I do.
At the moment I am assuming I there is nothing wrong with the BLOBDestination code but with our configuration. Also could it be I have the wrong file because of our multiple instances of the report server?
Any help would be appreciated, even/especially confirmation that someone has gotten this to work or knows that it does not.

Hi Krrish
Yes that is the file and entry that we updated. Here is more information.
When we use the following URL [Sensitive data modified and underlined]
http://SERVER/reports/rwservlet?server=repintg_pplus&report=general_payroll_rpt.rdf&userid=USERID/PASSWORD@DATABASE&destype=blobdestination&desformat=PDF&desname=http://USERID:PASSWORD@SERVER:1251/pplust/REG_PAYROLL_X/EXTRACT/REG_PAYROLL_X_ID/2/FILE_NAME
we get the following error on the web page
REP-50159: Executed successfully but there were some errors when distribute the output
REP-50125: blobdestination : Caught exception: java.lang.NullPointerException

Hi All,
I am getting below error in the server log while processing the SAML response in assertion consumer service.
<BEA-000000> <[Security:096552]Illegal destination: https://<server_name>:<port>/saml2/sp/acs/post of assertion response.>
Could anyone help on what's wrong here?
Thanks.
Edited by: 925244 on Apr 4, 2012 12:07 PM

Hi,
This is error is related to "Destination" attribute not matching to the local (SP) assertion consumer URL.
The fix is to disable the "RcipientCheck" in weblogic.
The Recipeint Check is necessary if we want to process the request for known SP.
Thanks.

• HTTP destination type G with scpecial characters in the path prefix

Hi guys,
I am having an issue with a RFC destination type G in a ECC 5, the HTTP service that I am trying to use is asking me for an authentication that needs to be embeded on the Path prefix, the user has an "@" and the pwd also contain a special character "!". So the complete uri that I want to access is in the form of https://server:443/path?user=MyUser@MyDomain.com&password=MyPwd! when I tried in my web browser I got authenticated but when I put the information in the RFC destination in the form described below I am not able to authenticate and I am getting an error of Unauthorized.
Target Host: server
Service: 443
Path prfix: /path?user=MyUser@MyDomain.com&password=MyPwd!
Logon procedure: No logon
SSL: Active
I also have tried with the basic authentication but I am still not able to authenticate.
I think the issue is the "@" in the user: MyUser@MyDomain.com , I also have tried replacing the "@" for "%40" and still not working.
Do you know how I can pass this special character?
Do you think it can be something else that it doesn't let me authenticate to the server?
My system is a non unicode ECC 5, SAP_Basis 640
Thanks
Omar Hernandez

Hi Mark,
Thanks for your response, the HTTP service that I am trying to access is not accepting a basic authentication but it is getting the authentication info from the parameters in the URL. Anyway I also have tried to use basic authentication but it is not working.
Regarding SMICM, I havent seem anything useful, maybe the just the "BINDUMP of content denied" string but I am not sure what does this mean.

• Error Message: This type of file is not supported, or the required codec is not installed?

I am trying to get media from my computer, and I only receive this error message :
This type of file is not supported, or the required codec is not installed?
What should I do? I have a window 8 laptop. My video files are from my itouch/ipod. I am using Premiere Elements 7.
I have used this software with success before. HELP would greatly be appreciated!

darlingdarleen
Did both laptop 1 and 2 have QuickTime (latest version or any version) installed on the computers with Premiere Elements 7 when you got this "this type of file......" message?
If you go to the opened Premiere Elements 7 projects involved and look at Share/Personal Computer/QuickTime, do you find that QuickTime Presets are shown and that you find export settings choices under the Advanced Button/Video Tab and Audio Tab?
Look at the file name of the video. Do you see any irregularies in the name of the file, dots and such?
If you record new iPod footage, open a new Premiere Elements project, and import that iPod footage, do you still get the error message? Putting aside, iTouch, what model iPod are these videos coming from?
Thanks.

• Error in Wage type /3F7

Hi Gurus,
I am getting error in wage type /3F7 - Employer contribution towards EDLI.
Ee PF contribution /3F1 is 611.00
Er PF contribution /3F3 is 102.00
Er Pension contribution /3F4 is 509.00
/3F7 EDLI contribution is 3,057,200.00
How to change this?
Thanks in advance.
Regards
K.Manjunath

HI
Check this
1. Define the different PF trusts that your company is registered with, and specify the Trust Type. You also need to configure the wage types, trust wise, for storing the:
¡ PF contribution by the employee (Ee PF contribution model wage type /3F1)
¡ VPF contribution by the employee (Ee VPF contribution model wage type /3F2)
¡ PF contribution by the employer (Er PF contribution model wage type /3F3)
¡ Pension fund contribution by the employer (Er Pension contribution model wage type /3F4)
¡ EDLI contribution (EDLI contri * 1,00,000 model wage type /3F7)
¡ EDLI administrative charges (EDLI adm chrgs * 1,00,000 model wage type /3F8)
¡ Administrative charges for PF (PF adm chrgs * 1,00,000 model wage type /F39)
You can configure these details through the IMG under Payroll India ® Statutory Social Contribution ® Provident Fund ® Define Trust Details for PF (V_T7INF1).
2. Maintain the rates at which your company contributes to the employee PF. The PF contribution of an employer can vary depending on the employee Pay Scale Grouping for Allowances. If the rate is less than the statuory rate, then the statutory rate is applicable.
Maintain the PF contribution rates of your company in the IMG through Payroll India ® Statutory Social Contribution ®Provident Fund ® Assign Company Rates for Provident Fund.
3. Specify whether an EDLI payment is valid for the trust(s) that you have configured in the table view Trust Master (V_T7INF1).
You can specify the validity of the EDLI payment in the IMG under Payroll India ® Statutory Social Contribution ® Provident Fund ® Define PF Trust Validity Period.
4. Assign the following components to the different trusts that you have configured:
¡ Contribution type
¡ PF Reference number
¡ Pension Reference Number
Based on this configuration, the system determines the contribution percentages of the employer and the employee towards the different PF components such as Pension, PF, EDLI contribution and EDLI Administration charges.
You can assign the components using the Determining Cont type,PF Ref no and Pen Ref no feature (40EPF). To do so, go to the IMG under Payroll India ® Statutory Social Contribution ® Provident Fund ® Maintain Contribution Details towards PF.
5. Specify, for a particular Contribution Type, the contribution percentage for the different PF components such as the Employer PF, Employee PF, Employer Pension contribution, and EDLI contribution. The contribution types are determined by the Determining Cont type,PF Ref no and Pen Ref no feature (40EPF).
To specify the contribution percentages for a Contribution Type, go to the IMG under Payroll India ® Statutory Social Contribution ® Provident Fund ® Define Contribution type for Statutory rates for Provident Fund.

• Field Selection error for movement type and G/L account

I am currently experiencing a field selection error between movement type 601 and G/L account 7140000. The problem field is 'Segment'. This field is set to required for the G/L account, but it is hidden for the movement type 601. This inconsistency causes an error when posting the goods movement. According to business requirement the field must be required for the G/L account, therefore we must make this field optional for the movement type.
However, in configuration the field segment does not appear for the movement type 601. Therefore it can not be changed to optional.
Does anyone know a workaround other than making this field optional for the G/L account because the business requirement is to have this field as required?????
Many Thanks

Hi,
On the Error message detail, system will guide you to the Configuration details for Field settings for Movement type & Account, please get in touch with your FI consultant, to make the Field selection for the account similr to that of your movement type, this is a very common issue.

Hi Guys.
After I have upgraded my clients 2007 PL 30 database to 8.81 PL05, and running a repair to fix inconsistincies, I am receiveing some error when opening any sales documents.
It takes place when I open a sales document, or browse previous docs. When browsing previous docs, it onlly happens on some of them.
I also receive a different error when viewing sales orders: Error converting data type nvarchar to numeric (CRD2).
Any ideas how to fix it?
It does not limit me from processing and using the rest of the functionality. All calculations with queries in the docs are still working.
Thanks.

Please follow basic Netiquette and post the DDL we need to answer this. Follow industry and ANSI/ISO standards in your data. You should follow ISO-11179 rules for naming data elements. You should follow ISO-8601 rules for displaying temporal data. We need
to know the data types, keys and constraints on the table. Avoid dialect in favor of ANSI/ISO Standard SQL. And you need to read and download the PDF for:
https://www.simple-talk.com/books/sql-books/119-sql-code-smells/
>> I need to select from a dynamic column name and save the result in a variable, but seem to be having trouble with the values being fed to sp_executesql <<
This is so very, very wrong! A column is an attribute of an entity. The idea that you are so screwed up that you have no idea if you want
the shoe size, the phone number or something else at run time of this entity.
In Software Engineering we have a principle called cohesion that says a model should do one and only one task, have one and only one entry point, and one and only one exit point.
Hey, on a scale from 1 to 10, what color is your favorite letter of the alphabet? Yes, your mindset is that level of sillyity and absurdity.
Do you know that SQL is a declarative language? This family of languages does not use local variables!
Now think about “month_val” and what it means. A month is a temporal unit of measurement, so this is as silly as saying “liter_val” in your code. Why did you use “sp_” on a procedure? It has special meaning in T-SQL.
Think about how silly this is:
SET @month_val = 'Month' + CAST(@month_nbr AS VARCHAR(2));
We do not do display formatting in a query. This is a violation of at the tiered architecture principle. We have a presentation layer. But more than that, the INTERVAL temporal data type is a {year-month} and never just a month. This is fundamental.
We need to see the DDL so we can re-write this mess. Want to fix it or not?
