Déplacement linéaire

Bonjour,
Je voufrais savoir comment il serait possible de programmer un déplacement linéaire avec le matériel suivant :
Un NI cRIO-9076
Une carte NI 9514
Un driver AKD-P00306-NBAN-0000 (KOLLMORGEN)
Un moteur brushless AKM21E-ANBNC-00 (KOLLMORGEN)
Mon problème est le suivant quand je dois effectuer un déplacement "torque" avec labview pas de soucis mais dès que j'essaye de réaliser un déplacement linéaire le moteur passe en "over speed" j'ai beau diminuer les valeurs dans les boucles rien y fait sa plante toujours.

Je précise déjà que je suis débutant sous labview et ayant un besoin de programmation, je me retourne vers vous pour avoir éventuellement des réponses mais aussi pour que vous me donniez vos sentiments sur le programme que j'ai réalisé.
Alors, je souhaiterai tracer une droite d'étalonnage (droite d'équation linéaire - y = ax+ b) à partir d'une valeur de pente et d'un offset (ordonnée à l'origine) rentrés par un opérateur. La droite est éventuellement affichée dans un graphe et ce serait pour corriger une mesure de température d'une PT100.

From what I see, I guess your code is working, so that's a good start!
As you are asking for advices, there are many ways to do what you are doing. As you are just doing an addition and a multiplication, I wouldn't use a calculator for that. Express VIs take a lot of space and you can't actually see what you are doing, you need to double click on it. (But they are useful when you are just starting exploring LabVIEW.) I would rather use basic mathematical function and work directly with arrays as the formula is the same for the two values of X. I have linked an example of what you could do (but as I said many solutions are available).

Bouton reset pour potentiomètre linéaire

Bonjour,
Nous sommes en Terminale SSI, nous devons réaliser un projet (un pont en treillis) pour notre bac.
Notre programme consiste à mesurer la flèche d'un pont (en maquette, balsa et un en PVC) à l'aide d'un potentiomètre linéaire. Le pont (en maquette) ne revient pas forcément à sa position initiale après que l'on ai enlevé des poids.
Le programme marche cependant nous n'arrivons pas à réaliser un bouton reset nous permettant de conserver la valeur de sortie et de réinitialiser la valeur d'entrée tout en sachant que le potentiomètre garde la même tension en fonction de la distance parcourue par la borne mobile.

-Le potard nous permet de mesurer la flèche d'inclinaison d'un pont lorsque l'on pose différents poids dessus. Notre but étant de tester la résistance de plusieurs matériaux.
-Le potard est monté sur une carte d'acquisition NY-DAQ. Celui-ci est accroché au pont.
-La potard est calibrer afin que la valeur de la tension soit comprise entre 0 et 5 Volts.

Dans le cadre d'un étalonnage de capteur LVDT, je réalise un programme qui permet à l'utilisateur de rentrer une valeur de déplacement et de récupérer la valeur qu'une centrale d'acquisition lui retourne. Ces données sont réunies dans un tableau puis placées sur un Graphe XY. Existe-il un moyen d'ajouter une courbe de régression linéaire à ce graphe ?

Using AIR SDK To Package Apps

Hi Guys,
I'm using the command line, air sdk tools to package my air
app. I can do everything except select the destination where the
packaged app should be placed. I have read the documentation;

and it says nothing about a destination directory, only to
specify the name of the app, i.e. myApp.air. Is there an argument,
or another way, to set the destination directory of the final

I tried to use /Documents/SomeDirectory/myApp.air, but I
simply get an error.

The "myApp.air" argument is the output file, not the name of
the application. Specifying a path should work, although the parent
directory has to exist. You don't mention what error you received,
but I suspect you simply gave an invalid path.

Why am i still attracted to the Air?

So i currently have two laptops in my possession but can only afford to keep one of them (economy and all). They are:
MBP Classic 15" 2.6GHz/4GB RAM/200GB 7200 RPM HDD
MBA Rev A 1.8GHz/2GB RAM/64GB SSD
I got both laptops for roughly the same price (40% off discounts). Logically i should be keeping the MBP because its hella powerful and will handle Snow Leopard when it comes out i.e. future proof. However, i feel more 'comfortable' using the Air....its sooooo much lighter and easier to handle and surprisingly handles whatever i throw at it like a champ. I migrated my trimmed core data and have 20GB of space left on the SSD which is healthy.
The MBP however is lightening fast and blazes through anything but it gets HOT and uncomfortably so at times that i have to take it off my legs and let it cool for a while which i never have to do with the Air. Its also significantly heavier and bulkier and also there's the issue of the 8600GT but it does EVERYTHING and more
I am a student and ideally i'd like to be able to take my laptop to school whenever i want, which the Air would allow me to easily but with the pro i have to make sure i really need to take it with me before deciding to because its heavier to lug for extended periods
I dunno...do i keep the more practical and somewhat future poof maxed out pro and deal with the 8600GT risk or do i keep the 'sufficient' but with an uncertain future MBA
These macs will be my primary macs btw and if i keep the MBA then its likely i'll be forced to get another mac like an iMac to act as a main machine which the MBA supplements. But with the Pro i'm all set.
Please don't recommend the MacBooks...their screens are horrible (yes i owned one b4 selling it)

I am in a similar predicament. Have an older Powerbook which still blazes through most stuff but I am tired of lugging the 15'' around.
I was about to pull the trigger on a new Macbook, but can't get over the reduced screen quality vis-a-vis my Powerbook (Pro quality). Wish they made a 13.3'' Pro, but I understand Apple's business model. Their high quality 13.3'' laptop is the Air. The strategy is that if you want portable you want ultra portable, the theory is that people who want portable don't also need Pro performance. I am assuming the market research shows that the majority of people who use their laptops as predominantly portable machines are using less intensive applications most of the time. The margins are better if you provide them with what they want (ultra-portable Air) without the extra horsepower. The only computer in recent history that met the ultra-portable and ultra-performance criteria was the 12'' Powerbook G4 - I assume this cannibalized some of the Apple's other laptop lines and, coupled with the market research Apple has decided that Professional's want bigger screens and so the 15'' and 17'' laptops should be the only ones in the Pro line. This makes some sense - if you are a filmmaker or photographer you are probably lugging a lot of equipment around anyway and have some sort of vehicle or assistant to help carry everything and you most likely want the larger screen to do your work. Unfortunately that leaves out those of us who want it all - top performance and portability, i.e. a 13.3'' New Macbook Pro. I highly doubt we will see this anytime soon - it would erode much of Apple's other sales as most people would opt for this and not need a new computer anytime soon. As well, they have a lot invested in the Air platform and want it to penetrate the corporate market so I wouldn't expect them to drop it anytime soon. A 13.3'' Macbook Pro would have to come in at the $1600-$1900 price range and would have smaller profit margins than the 15'' inch. Plus they do the market research and know their consumers - those of us that want the small Pro are probably a much smaller percentage of consumers. There a lot more people out there who are not used to the Pro quality laptop screens and don't use and apps beyond the OS X bundle. These people don't notice (or care about) the poorer screens on the Macbooks - they are happy and the computer suits their needs, thus Apple's best selling laptop also has the highest margins.
I would say go with the Air for now. Or sell both and by the newest top-of-the-line Air. It will most likely have no problem with Snow Leopard (and your current air may not as well - I am running OS 10.5.5 on my 5-year old Powerbook with no problem and they say one of the major improvements of Snow Leopard is that it will make the machines run more efficiently). As for the idea of a "primary" computer ask yourself what you do on your mac. If you are running Final Cut Pro and Aperture then stay with the Pro and deal with the size. If you are using regular apps you are A-OK with the Air. Resale on Macs has historically been very high compared to other machines - look at Ebay for comps - so I wouldn't worry about the "future proof" from the sense that you can always flip your mac and get the newest and fastest.
Keep your Air or sell both and trade up for a newer Air. Or, if you have enough money after selling both, get a new, slimmer, Pro which might be easier to carry around.

Pro or Air???

I am going to purchase either soon but cannot decide. Any comments would be appreciated. I love the mobility of the Air but I am worried about its lack of HDD space, slower processor speed and only 2GB of RAM. The top of the range Pro looks the business but I really want something smaller.....

I would recommend the Pro just because, as others have mentioned, it has a whole lot of processing power when compared to the Air. I have used the Air at an Apple Store, and it is an addicting piece of hardware. It is so slim and lightweight, and yet it runs a full version of OS X. Amazing. But my computer needs to be able to run CS3 and video editing software. My 2.4Ghz MacBook Pro can handle it pretty well, with its 4GB of RAM, but the Air, with its slower CPU and 2GB of RAM, probably can not. It doesn't have a graphics card, so that reduces performance as well.
The MacBook Pro is only 1-inch think, which is still pretty slim for a laptop of its class. It is only a few pounds heavier than the Air, and yet the performance gains are enormous. I've had no real problems carrying my MBP around. Now if you really like the Air and its different form factor, I'd wait for the second version. But, the new Pros may adopt a similar exterior as well, so be sure to wait it out. I can't wait to see what is in store.
Bottom line: Air for mobility, Pro for power.

I need to buy a new MB for college! I'm thinking of getting a 13" MBA w/ the external DVD/CDROM drive and portable/external/whatever it's called memory. Where should I buy, Best Buy or Apple Store?

So basically a BB employee told me that instead of giving me the apple giftcard (one that would given to me for the back-to-school deal at apple) they would discount that off. Also, she says that their insurance policy (instead of apple care) would replace my macbook "then and there" if anything were to happen to it. Sounds too good to be true since I've had MANY MANY troubles with BB when I bought my first and only white MB 4 years ago. They were horrible. But she said the policy has changed since then and that people come in to exchange MBs daily. Can anyone help me! :3 Thank you <3
ALSO, (sorry for being a pain) is the MBA a good choice if I'm getting an external/portable hardrive as well as a DVD/CD-ROM drive? I need a MB for college stuff: writing papers, projects, presentations, other general college stuff. MBA doesn't have moving parts, which is a huge plus since I am not careful with my things, and will probably drop my MB a million times.

MacBook Air is a perfect choice for a college student. I have used a MBA as my only machine for several years now and am a professional in the advertising industry. I write a lot, do some (little) graphics work, code, and create presentations and videos. It's more than capable.
I have an external CDRW/DVDRW but I got mine from Amazon it's not Apple-branded. It works great but was a fraction of the cost. Also if you buy the Air from Amazon you can get free shipping and pay no sales tax, which may come out to less than getting the educational discount. However, if you qualify for both the $100 gift card and the educational discount you'll probably come out better getting it at Apple.

Converting Burrito Flex Mobile App to Desktop

Hi Guys! Have just developed an app for Android using Burrito. It works nicely on a phone but it is also great as a little 'widget like' desktop app.
Is there any way to package it so that it may be distributed as an Air app that runs exactly like it does when run in emulation mode (adl) from Flash Builder? If not, what is the simplest path to convert the <mobileApplication> to a <windowedApplication>?

Update: Surprised no one has answered this. I am new to Flash Builder and I figured you guys would know. Have been looking at viewstacks in standard Air apps and trying to figure how to use this to achieve the same effect as a mobile app. Looks like quite a lot of work to rewrite the app to Air on the Desktop ... is there an easier route .... anyone?

I then did a diff between a Flex Buritto Moblie/AIR project library swc's included and identified swc included in AIR and missing in mobile. I updated the project libraries by adding the following swc's:

applicationupdater.swc
applicationupdater_ui.swc
Then performed a clean build and ran packageApplication from my bin-debug dir and was successfully able to install and run the mobile application on the desktop :-).
Being new to supporting mobile phones, tablets, TV screens along with our web and desktop clients I am not yet sure how we will structure our projects and get maximum code reuse and UI consistancy across these form factors. I have already created a common library project containing all remote stubs, value objects and common utilities and am still trying to figure out how much mileage I can get out of my mobile views. I like the View Navigator and ActionBar navigation on all screens we support and am thinking to extend the ViewNavigator and add additional states along with the 'portrait' and 'landscape' currently offered, like 'portraitPhone', 'portraitTablet', 'portraitTV', 'portraitPC' and leverage my existing mobile views to use these states to adjust the UI layout to accomodate the new realestate... but still learning...

Sound echo in Quicktime 10.1

The stereo sound is on two tracks.
The sound is playing with an echo in Quicktime 10.1 but is fine in NicePlayer. VLC lag with ProRes too much to test.
Anyone knows why Quicktime had this echo problem?

I noticed I have the same problem too (sometimes) if a movie has two audio tracks. Quicktime acts as if its playing both stereo and surround at the same time.
If you go to the Quicktime Menu > View > Languages , then select one of the audio tracks, the echo will go away.

Cs5.5 splash/start screen on iOS

You could add a startscreen (to avoid the loading black screen) in the command line AIR compilere... how do you add this using cs5.5? Anyone?

In the Flash CS5.5 iOS publishing settings you can add files, in the General tab. If you add a file named Default.png, then that will appear as the splash screen for the regular iPhone. The other variations that you may have seen using the command line also work, just add in each splash screen type that you want to have, and they will be including in the package, just like they are with the command line.

The footage : videos ( 5D markII h264 movies), image still like psd / jpg or both videos images
The comp setting : 1920*1080 (videos) and 3750*2109 (for images) and donwscale precompt at 1920
Effects : level, curve, noise, cineon converter, hue sat, most of them are on Fx layers with blend effect layers

Strange echo on audio playback QT 10.1

Hi there. i have been making backup QT movies of a whole bunch of Beta SP tapes using an AJA Ki Pro to record ProRes 422 files. I have used QT7pro to trim these movies and add metadata. Played back on QT7 (7.6.6) they sound find but playing the same movie on QT player 10.1 there is an echo on the audio as if one track has been knocked back about 6 or 7 frames. Using QT7 to set Ch1 and 2 to mono or stereo makes no difference, just spaces the echo out.

However, I found that the problem occurs when the two chanels are on two different tracks (sorry for the french...):

But works well when the 2 channels are on the same track, like this:

Also, check your videos in NicePlayer... Works fine for me...
