Deployment with 11g issue

Hi all,
I've developped an appllication using jdev11g (adf and jsp technos).
When I deploy the appli, on a remote server, I get a frustating error :

Anybody got ideas for that ? What's the error ?

What exactly is your remote server?
Check the logs of the server for more information.

  • How to configure and deploy OAM 11g with DB setup using silent mode

    Hello all,
I am trying to create automation process to install and configure OAM 11g on WLS. This task involves three stages
    1. Install WLS
    2. Install OAM 11g
    3. Create DB schema using RCU
    4. Configure and deploy OAM 11g
I have done first 3 stages in silent mode using scripts and response files. I am stuck at 4th stage. I know how to configure and deploy OAM 11g using config.sh via GUI installer as well as console mode. But I would like to run config.sh in silent mode something like
    ./config.sh -mode=silent -silent_script=<script_location>
I have searched a lot, but could not find any resource on how to do it? I tried passing the parameters via a text file. But that has not worked. I have also explored WLST, but it also does not work. Given that first 3 things are relatively very simple, the 4th step is becoming complex. I would be very thankful if someone can please point me in the right direction.
    Thanks!

Have a look at your software directory : <sofware directory>/Disk1/stage/Response
Here you will find 2 rsp files which you can use to install and then configure it all.
    Good luck.

  • SAP Netweaver 04 SP16 deployed with Xalan 2.60 or Xalan 2.70

SAP Netweaver 04 SP16 deployed with Xalan 2.60 or Xalan 2.70
Have you tried to port and run (Sneak Preview)  SAPNetWeaver java 04 SP16 or 04S SP7 with a later version on Xalan version 2.60 or Xalan version 2.70 along with jdk 1.4.2_(8 or greater)?
What specifically is failing? What patches or work around have you used to overcome compatibility issues with Xalan?
When we run Sneak Preview SAPNetWeaver java 04 SP16 SP7 with a version on Xalan version 2.60 or Xalan version 2.70 along with jdk 1.4.2_11, We get error 503 Service Unavailable, Application cannot be started
Details: com.sap.engine.services.deploy.container.ExceptionInfo: Error while parsing file “data-source-aliases.xml”.

    Hi
SAP does not allow usage of any other XML parsers with SAP web AS.
please have a look at this link
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/36/ef353e39011a38e10000000a114084/frameset.htm
"Setting system properties in a system that supports more than one parser is prohibited".
The Error which you are getting is because one of the
    java.system properties for parsing is
getting changed by xalan. These system properties are explictly set by the SAP XML implementation which it does not allow you to change.
Also can you please let me know where are you placing the xalan jar file ? is it deployed as a j2ee library or part of war ?
Hope this helps. please mark points for helpful answers

  • Using older client 10201 with 11g database

    Hello,
Are there any issues with using sqlplus client 10201 with 11g database with regard to performance? I would think using the 11g client with 11g database would be preferred but what would be the disadvantage in using sqlplus 10201 with 11g database?
Also, what would be disadvantage if using sqlplus 11g with an older database 10201/10202? Thank you.

I guess the most visible and the prominent issue of using an old version client with the more latest version db would be that the older version client won't be able to display/use some of the newest features. This sounds more like a usability issue than performance issue which you mentioned but that's what which came on top of the mind. Performance should not be affected as the client doesn' do much except to pull the data so if there would be any issues actualy , they would be with the server rather than the client.
    Just my 2 cents.

    Hi,
From the logs it is clear that your application is dependent on [tcwdapi] which is either not deployed on the target server or failed to start. This is called as class loader exception. To overcome this issue, you have to either deploy the reference application or see to that it is in "Started" status in the target server. If you have trouble in starting the application, then it might be necessary to restart the java server and then do the deployment.

  • Oracle Application Server 10g with 11g Database

    Hi everyone,
If anyone can tell, is there any compatibility issues in Oracle Application Server 10g with 11g Database?
    Will it work properly?
    Thanks

    hi,
    This will be helpful,

  • Deployment with "Refer to last SNP run" deploy

    Hi guys
I'm running the deployment over /SAPAPO/SDP94 in the planning map. Demand is there, stock is there (and production, no STOs or other orders). ATD issue/receipt is standard.
When I run the deployment with procedure "Refer to last SNP run", nothing happens - nothing is deployed.
When I run the deployment with procedure "Real-time", everything stays unchanged (because I did the SNP heuristic seperately before), but now the system is at least deploying accordant to my expectations.
Because I want to run the SNP heuristic and the deployment normally on different days, "Real-time" is no option for the productive system.
What could be a reason for that?
Thanks in advance for your help.
    Regards

    Hello Samir
    Thank you for the answer.
All the points are fulfilled but the Deployment "Refer to the last SNP run" is not creating any confirmed distribution demands.
    I did 2 trials:
    1. SNP Heuristik (Network / Multilevel) -> deployment with procedure "Refer to the last SNP run" -> no deployment (no basis for TLB)
    2. Directly deployment, but with procedure "Real-time" ->  confirmed distribution demands -> deployed quantity for TLB available.
Actually standard should be point one, because SNP and Deployment running on 2 different days.
I suppose because the product can be deployed to different locations (actually just one has demand), but even when I lock the transportation Lanes to the other locations, isn't the deployment proposing anything.
    Thanks for your help
    Regards
    Johannes

  • BI 101342 with 11g

    Hello everyone,
In supported platforms and system requirements for OBIEE 10.1.3.4.2 for data sources it says that database 11g is supported. However it has a footnote saying that +"Certified with Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition 10.1.3.4.1"+ Does this mean that it does not work with 10.1.3.4.2?
    Kind Regards,
    Konstantinos

There is only a upgrade path for 7961 and 11g..this is supported but not certified which means you may run into issues and if you do..oracle may recommend that you wait till BI Apps is certified. I believe the next release will be certified with 11g which means it is released directly with 11G. If you do choose to upgrade, there is a upgrade doc on Oracle metalink.

  • APEX V3 that comes with 11g -- Fundamentally broken?

I have two instances of APEX v3 running. One was an upgrade from HTMLDB v2.0 the other is the version that came with 11g. The 11g version seems to be fundamentally broken and buggy. It continually asks me for an XDB login, the applications that I can import into the upgraded v3 version, import into this version missing half of the components. This list of bugs and fixes is becoming endless.
I have read the notes, this forum, and have an SR on the matter. Most people seem to be aware of the APEX 11g issues and I have been able to fix some of them. I am wondering if I should uninstall the version that came with the database and install the stand-alone version. Thoughts?

    j_70,
When you installed 11g, did you do a clean database install or did you do an upgrade? I tried doing the upgrade process 5 times and they all had problems, so I finally settled on a clean install (software only), then created a database with all of my tablespaces, then exported and imported all of the data from my 10g database. The upgrade process was (once again) unusable for me.
If you did a process similar to mine above, when you imported, did you export and import the Apex schemas? That doesn't work at all, and does lead to numerous problems. The Apex schemas need to have the applications exported and the imported back through the Apex interface. That is the only way it works if you are changing versions like going from 10g with Apex 3.0.1.0.7 to 11g with 3.0.1.0.8 (I probably got the Apex versions wrong). Otherwise, you wind up with some of the older Apex 'data' (tables, data, etc.) overwriting the newer version in 11g, and that causes problems. This is exactly like the case of not importing the system (system, sys, sysaux) schemas into a newer version.
If you're not the DBA, ask your DBA how the 11g install was performed. It could be that they did the 11g install the wrong way. I know this was my most difficult upgrade process yet, and I've been doing this since version 5, about 16 years now.
Anyway, the point of all of the above is that when done properly, Apex itself doesn't have any problems. Actually, the Oracle database didn't have any 'major' problems either (a few minor ones, but I worked through those finally). But, when done improperly, the data migration from an old version to a new version can cause all kinds of problems. Based on what I experienced when I migrated my system from 10g to 11g, it sounds like this may be what you are experiencing. And none of this has anything to do with Apex.
I would suggest uninstalling Apex, then install it fresh (so you know you have a working, clean install), then import your applications through the Apex interface. You shouldn't have any problems if you do it this way.
For the record, I would also trust what Tyler, Joel, Scott Spadafore and Carl say a lot more than Oracle Support, especially when it comes to Apex.
My last experience with Oracle Support was with a problem I had in 11g with views that use the ANSI join syntax. I used the USING clause, since I was performing the join between three tables that had a common column name (per all of the documentation), but I kept getting a 'unabiguous column' error message. The 'fix' was to change all of my views to use the ON syntax instead. Oracle Support insisted that this is the correct behaviour, even though all the documentation I've seen everywhere states otherwise. In short, Oracle Support is good in that they will eventually get you working again, but they are not experts.
Send Joel the SR# so he can investigate further. I'm pretty darn sure that he'll discover in this case Oracle Support was wrong (again), and have a solution for you if the above uninstall, import process doesn't fix your problem.

  • Windows 7 deployment with unwanted updates

Hello! I have been deploying with MDT for some time now. My method is to fully update my golden image then run a TS to capture it. When I deploy that WIM in a new TS everything works and comes out fully activated with all post installed applications/configurations.
One issue I do have is that we administer the updates for our clients. They are not able to change any settings for Windows Updates. I have set "protectmypc" parameter in the answer file to 3 to disable the updates but am still getting updates in
queue. Since Group Policy disables settings for the updates they cannot be removed. Where in the process does these updates get checked for and how do I stop this from happening? My TS does not allow this due to the post task being disabled. Someone has to
know what is going on. Regards,

I have an olde iMac that once I have an older iMAC that once burned CD's with no issues. Now I get an error message saying "The attempt to burn a disc failed. The device is not accessible, probably because it was removed". I have never had it touched so the device was not removed. Please advise as to what could be the problem. How to fix. Thanks

Try resetting the SMC and PRAM first, if that doesn't help try a cleaning disc.....and then buy an inexpensive external burner. Slimline super drive failures are all too common.
    To reset the SMC
    Shut down the computer.
    Unplug the computer's power cord.
    Wait fifteen seconds.
    Attach the computer's power cord.
Wait five seconds, then press the power button to turn on the computer.
    Resetting NVRAM / PRAM
    Shut down your Mac.
Locate the following keys on the keyboard: Command (⌘), Option, P, and R. You will need to hold these keys down simultaneously in step 4.
    Turn on the computer.
Press and hold the Command-Option-P-R keys before the gray screen appears.
Hold the keys down until the computer restarts and you hear the startup sound for the second time.
    Release the keys.

  • Question for those with memory issues on k8n neo plat

I have been having issues with my memory on the k8n neo platinum board since i built the system last month and i just recently discovered a fact I had overlooked.
I Have discovered that  if i test the system while it is cool (having sat turned off overnight for example), then memtest will pass the ram just fine and the system will be stable for a short period of time, generally longer if no intensive applications are used, ie. doom3 vs. websurfing).
This system, once it heats up ( seems mostly to be the nvidia 3 nb that needs to be "hot"- that is, a probe placed in contact with the module reaches about 58+ degrees c) then the system becomes unstable and memtest, if used, fails.
Prime95, if used on it when its cool, will usually take about an hour or so to fail, but if its used on the system when its been running a bit ( temps from nb at 58c+ and memory module hot to the touch) then it fails after about 20-30 seconds.
I have placed an active hs on the nb in an attempt to correct this, but temps still remain high with failures occuring.
I have spent the better part of three days testing the sytem this way and the above facts have held true in all these tests.
I have  tested at stock ratings ( not using "auto" in bios, but using "approved ratings" of 10 x 200 for fsb and timings of 2-3-3-7 for my ram at 1:1 (which is recommended as well) since i am testing for base stability at this point;Voltages have been left at auto settings, however.
I was wondering if anyone else with memory issues could try this out and post if this seems to be the case for you as well.
Perhaps the memory issues on these boards are directly related to a problem with the nvidia 3 chipset running too hot?
Does anyone have a memory issue with these boards who is using water cooling on the NB ?
Lack of issues from people using 'problem" memory, but having no failures with water cooled nb's would support my assumption.

    Yes i did mean chipset.
I am using a stock hs/fan from amd, which seems to run a tad hot but, considering that I wont overclock until I can get board stable, its not an issue. (runs 35-40 idle and up to 72 intensive). I need the warranty more then the extra mhz at present.
I removed the stock heatsink from the nvidia chipset and bought a generic chipset cooler (green, very little in the way of fins and seems to be aluminum) with a small fan.
I used a generic silver paste from Compusa to adhere both the cpu hs and the chipset.
I didnt lap either hs, just installed each as per instructions on artic silvers website (figured it had to go on the same way even generic).
I also bought a kingwin thermal center which i ran probes from to the cpu, case, and nb chipset.
I am not using it to adjust fans so those arent connected - its just a reference temp I can see at a glance, esp considering the funky bios reading this boards been known to give.
I assume from these responces that even a nvidia 3 250 chipset shouldnt get as hot as mine?
I asked about that from the retailer i bought this from but he seemed to think it was "ok" at 50ish celcius, but then again he didnt look too confident when he said it, lol.
Idle right now reads on Corecenter at 28 celcius for cpu and 33 celcius for the chipset, although, I have readings of 37 c and 43 c from the kingwin thermal center, which i believe to be more accurate.
My voltage reads at 11.67 for the 12v line at idle right now.
The psu i got is stick from the xblade case i bought in store. (http://www.xoxide.com/xblade2.html)
I have a dvd burner, cd drive, and two maxtor ide hd's attached to the system; The only card is the agp.
Is there a way to check and see if the cpu ispower starved? software monitor or even an external probe perhaps?
I havent put a probe on it, but the ram came in its own heatspreader, which gets very hot to the touch as well.
What temps should I be looking for on these items?

  • Sales orders with credit issues taking availability stock

    Hi,
I am doing confirmation using Global ATP in APO. The confirmation is well done, but the confirmed quantity for sales orders with clients that have credit issues is taken the available sotck for other sales orders with ok clients that I want to confirm the quantity they ordered.
    For example:
    Stock: 10 PC
Client A order 15 PC and 10 are confirmed, but the ordered is retained becuse of credit issues with client A.
Then client B order 3 PC, but nothing is confirmed because the ordered for client A is reserving the stock (note: this would be ok if client A had not credit issues).
So, I want that the 3 PC for client B are confirmed and the 10 PC not reserved for the cient A while client A has credit issues.
How could I configured, so that the orders with credit issues do not reserve stock for the incoming orders?
    Thanks a lot.

    Hi DB49,
    thanks for the quick answer.
I checked the configuration in the R3 and seems to be fine. To prove it, I disconnect APO and did the availability check in the R3 system and it is working fine; the orders quantities that are blocked because of credit issues, do not reserve stock for incoming orders.........son new incoming orders are well confirmed.
But after connecting APO the problem continues. I checked the next points.
In R3 transaction CO09: takes to the APO screen and you see the ATP available quantity OK (do not consider the quantities of the credit issues orders). But at the moment that you make the order (VA01) it does not confirm any stock and if you select the line and go to the ATP screen (the same you get from the CO09) the quantities of credit issues orders are taken into account..the ATP availability quantity changes from the first going directly from the CO09.
    What could it be?
Note: it was working fine with APO, I started to have the issue after implementing note 1262475 in APO. This note was becuase the BAPI_APOATP_CHECK was not brigning any value for the ATPQTY_***.
    Thanks a lot!!!
