Deposit on Order

Who knows how to create a Deposit On Order by the DI API only not the UI API ?
How it's made in SAP Detail :
When we are in a Sales Order, we click on the Payment Means and what it creates it's a Deposit On Order.
IT automaticly generate an Incoming Payment.
I tried with a normal SapBobsCOM.Paymens object and specifying Invoices.InvoiceType = it_DownPayment
and I gave the Sales Order DocEntry but it says Invalide Document Number.
So I don't think I do the right thing.
Thank you for any hints.

Hi,
please check if your DocEntry already exists in payment (Payment.GetByKey(...)) and if your value is an integer for DocEntry.
Please also refer to the SDK help, I have attached a sample in VB.NET of adding a payment with DI API, which is from the SDK help.

  • Payment Amount is greater than invoice amount in sales order

    Hi experts:
I have a Sales order that contained originally  3 lines of which the first 2 lines was delivered totally and the third was delivered partially.
The client decided to change the remaining quantity for another reference so the procedure in the sales order was to add another line and try to close the third line by right click and "close row" but the option is not available because there is a partial delivery, so the option was to update the inicial quantity in the third line at the same as delivered and update.
Like a result a I could close the third line and leave a fourth line available to delivery, however when I open this Sales order again an try to update a message "payment amount is greater than invoice amount" and appears inmediately the "Deposit on Order" window.
Other Information:  The quantities delivered was invoiced but no payment has been received.
Checking in the SCN I have not found some related information with this case because the existing answers are related with incomming and outgoing payments but like I mentioned before this docuements already have not payments.
In relation with the decimal places, my original decimal places configuration was 2 and it was updated to 3, issue that neither is mentioned in previous answers.
    I will appreciate your help,
    Thanks,
    Manuel

    Hi Manuel,
Your case is complicated by the fact you have not only undated the Sales Order which is partially delivered but also updated decimal places during the process.  In this case, you are probably the best person to figure out what is the system expected number.  You may restore your production db to test environment first.  Then do whatever you could to fix the problem.  If no solution can be found, you have to log a message to SAP support.
A general advice: do not fight with system for what you think system should accept.
    Thanks,
    Gordon

  • AT&T Charging Deposit 5 months after the fact.

    Anyone else experiencing this issue?
I purchasd a iPhone at Launch at a AT&T Retail Store. I had them run my credit and was told No Deposit was required and got a Pre-Approval Check Number. So bought the iPhone went home and activated it. When hooked into iTunes and went through the Application Process I input the Pre-Approval Check Number and no point did it tell me a Deposit would be required... Now 5 Months after the fact AT&T added $750 my Bill and only 2 days to pay it. And they are refusing to fix the problem...
    Is this even legal?

Why do you think you would lose the deposit by switching from a post paid plan to a Pay-As-You-Go?
A deposit is required for those with poor credit and payment history or with no credit which is usually refunded after 12 months of good payment history. If one cancels their contract, the deposit is not lost - it is held until the final bill is paid or the final bill is paid for out of the deposit with the balance refunded.
Since you received a credit pre-approval before activating your iPhone with no indication a deposit was required - had you failed the credit check during the activation with a deposit required at that time, you would have had the option to go with the Pay-As-You-Go plan instead of paying the deposit - an option many have used that prefer not paying a huge deposit in order to have a post paid plan.
Since AT&T made a mistake with your credit check and is now requiring a deposit, I was just providing you another option that AT&T would probably allow you to do instead of paying the deposit without charging you the $175 ETF.
    Pay the $700 deposit then.

  • Verizon moved the due date for returning my 400$ security deposit.

A  year a go I came to the states and got a phone in Verizon. They made me leave a 400$ deposit in order to finish the deal. A year has passed now and they told me that the due date was moved recently to JULY of NEXT YEAR. I need this money back, this wasn't the deal I made with Verizon. Why did this happened? I need help. How do I get my money back?

even with electronic payment a payment could have came late.  Especially when the bank/credit system you use is down when Verizon tries and it fails.  Double check your billing to make sure that didn't occur at any point in time.  You could then see if you can get that fixed and see if they can move the date back to original if that's what indeed happened.

  • The verizon company is the worst ever!!!!!!

I am totally at my wits end with this whole verizon sham.  I was previously with another cell company that I never, ever had any problems with.  However, due to family circumstances I needed to add a phone on my account for one of my children and, low and behold, verizon was the only one that approved me for a family plan without an outrageous per-phone deposit.  So, happy for that, I signed my daughter and I with a verizon family shared everything plan. I got two new phones for basically free,  I got the basic service on each phone, and then the shared data plan, and insurance, and we were on our way -- or so I thought!
Well, from the very first month -- actually about two-and-a-half weeks -- there has been nothing but problems and expensive problems with the so-called business.  To start - one adult and one child sharing a family plan -- Verizon sends two bills looking to me to dupicates -- I pay one of them and discard the other -- so service gets interrupted.  I call customer service -- oops, looks like somebody (on their end) set up the account wrong and has my phones being billed separately. Next - somehow I am being charged $5.99 (per month) for some "extra" verizon navigation service that I did not ask for, did not need, and certainly did not want for an extra fee. I call to check on this and have this fixed -- another verizon oops.  After just the first month, verizon had $114 in account adjustments they had to make because of their stupid (or greedy) so-called mistakes.
However, with just our second month coming up there is already problems -- somehow two weeks into the cycle, the data plan I chose of 4GB of this supposed 4G LTE was already being exceeded -- I call up yet again to see what the hell is up and once again review all the billing problems -- oh, somehow our data plan was only set a 2GB and we were over by way less than a GB (hence my 4GB choice would have been plenty). So for a nominal fee of $10 they will bump my data plan to 4GB instead of charging me the $15 per GB overage fee.  Oh, joy! It was their mistake in the first place. So the bill comes due -- I pay it, all is good. NOT!  One week later this money sucking company call verizon somehow and for some reason decides to reverse and reject my payment -- blammo, phones shut off again -- I call up to ask what's up -- oops, my payment was some $50 short -- I pay that -- they turn the phones back on -- we review everything again, and customer service and I agree all things are good -- and bam, the very next day phones are off again.
My point with this is that every time they interrupt service, their fault or mine, there is an additional $15 per phone charge -- I had this charge three times in only our second month of "service" -- that is an additional $90 in fees right there.  When I signed up, I was told that my monthly bill would be in the area of $190 TOTAL (for both phones), excluding the first month, of course, because we all have learned that the first month includes all kinds of bogus charges, fees, and tips!  So, then, why have my bills been no less that $340 every **** month.  I had spent more time on my lovely new phone with verizon customer service reps than any other person at all.  Every month for three months there was discussions about the plan, the usage, the fees -- blah, blah, blah --
Well, what other fitting thing could then happen but low and behold some low-life scum steals my phone and immediately runs my data plan over 8GB somehow (i can't even fathom how). So I call verizon to tell them and file a claim on the insurance that I was paying for (the total replacement premium)  only to find out that -- oops, I didn't  have insurance on the phone since the first month's adjustments. So I interrupted my service (and haven't been able to get into "myVerizon" online since that day. I told my daughter she wouldn't be having her phone anymore -- when they shut it off, I am done. I have not had a phone since that point since I definitely cannot afford the $599 cost of another phone.  I am on a fixed income and have been concerned about an out-of-control bill since day one. So, verizon this is my words to you:
SINCE I NO LONGER HAVE A PHONE TO TELL YOU AGAIN FORGET IT, CANCEL IT, I DO NOT WANT TO DO BUSINESS WITH YOUR CROOKED, RIP-OFF COMPANY, AND I CANNOT GET ON LINE TO TELL YOU IT THROUGH "MYVERIZON" (that title being a total joke to begin with!), IT APPEARS THAT PERHAPS THIS IS THE ONLY FORUM I MIGHT REACH SOMEBODY BY ---------- CANCEL MY ACCOUNT. QUIT CONTINUING TO BILL ME FOR THE SERVICE ON A PHONE THAT I NO LONGER HAVE AND THE OTHER SHUT OFF BY YOU. QUIT E-MAILING ME THAT MY BILL IS READY FOR VIEWING AND PAYING ON-LINE AT "MYVERIZON blah, blah, ********" BECAUSE YOU WON'T LET ME ON TO LOOK AT MY ACCOUNT BECAUSE I NO LONGER HAVE AN "active" VERIZON PHONE NUMBER (praise the Lord for that!). AND FURTHERMORE, TAKE YOUR $1,463 OR SOME RIDICULOUS CURRENT BILL AND SHOVE IT STRAIGHT UP THE TAILPIPE OF EVERY SINGLE PERSON IN CHARGE OF RUNNING YOUR LOUSY, GOOD-FOR-NOTHING, RIP OFF, SO-CALLED BUSINESS.
You should all be sued out the *** for the way you are robbing people.  It is straight criminal and if the average Joe Q. Citizen pulled the same **** they would be jailed and have their freedom stripped from them.  However, because you hide under some *********** fine print and claim to be a business, you steal, lie, cheat, and swindle from people every single hour of every single day and you rob people of their freedoms (from money, services, peace of mind, choices, etc.) and somehow get away with it without losing anything -- but customers, and you don't deserve them anyway.  So you feel free to just keep on charging me for whatever you are going to charge me for.  I will not give verizon another dime my money from my fixed income. I will not.  You have lied, cheated, defrauded and just plain been a horrible business and I will tell anyone and everyone I come in contact that to stay away from verizon -- don't go to them and if you are with them, get out -- they will take everything from you and somehow make it your fault!
BOYCOTT VERIZON -- START A CLASS ACTION SUIT AGAINST THEM.  LET'S STAND UP FOR THE CITIZENS AND BLOW THIS BOGUS MONEY-HUNGRY POOR EXCUSE OF A COMPANY OUT OF THE SKY AND FORCE THEM OUT OF BUSINESS -- or start doing business in a neighborly fashion.

Just from this paragraph, it puts your whole story in question. You make it sound as if Verizon is charging you something EXTRA to fix one of their mistakes. The 4GB plan IS $10 more expensive than the 2GB plan. The $10 "nominal fee" is just the price difference between the 2 plans. This is not just some charge to fix a Verizon mistake. If you want the larger plan, you must pay the larger fee.
You are either not explaining your situation correctly, you are leaving out some "other" information which would fully explain the situation OR you are purposely trying to make Verizon look bad for something they are not actually doing. You say Verizon "decides to reverse and reject" your payment, but then go on to say you shorted your payment. You then go on to say you then paid the part your shorted. So did you just pay the part you shorted, or did you then pay the ENTIRE amount? If you then only paid the part you shorted, I guess Verizon DID NOT "decide to reverse and reject" your payment. They accepted your previous payment and shut off your phones because you did not make the full payment. This is YOUR mistake, NOT VERIZON'S mistake. Even if you did pay the full amount again at that point including the part you had originally shorted from the 1st payment, it is still YOUR mistake.
I find it hard to believe you did not have these kinds of problems with your other provider since they were forcing a CURRENT customer to pay an "outrageous per-phone deposit" in order to add 1 line to your account. It appears as if Verizon should have done the same.
Of course, you do have the option of paying or not paying your current bill. However, it is YOUR responsibility to do so and it will only get larger if you do not contact Verizon CS by calling them(or going into a Verizon store) and cancelling your service EVEN if you do not have an active phone on one of your lines and your service is cut off for failure to pay. When you cancel your service, you will ALSO have 2 ETF's added to your already large bill.
Good luck with your situation, it appears as if you will need it.

  • Customer Pre Payment

    Hello All,
Could someone please give me some advise on the following:
Customers that place orders with us that elect to pay via EFT (Electronic Funds Transfer) initially have a sales order created and saved as a Draft. Once EFT is received the draft is converted to a Sales Order.
My dilemma is how can I receive the payment now and allocate this  payment to the A/R Invoice at a later stage. The reason for this is that the goods for this Sales Order may not be in stock and could take up to 10 Days to be received from the supplier.
I know there was the Linking Invoices to Payment Function in B1 2005A but this doesn't seem to be included in B1 2007A.
I have read a little about A/R Down Payment Invoice and understand its use but it looks a very cumbersome process.
Any help would be greatly appreciated...
    Kind regards,
    Ben

    Ben,
The Request for down payment and receiving down payment (deposit on Orders) was a big requirement in the SME industry which SBO 2007 has address.
The AR Down Payment Request and AR Down payment invoice is the exact solution to your situation.
I don't really think it is cumbursome in any way but it is just procedural.  I presume from your message that you are planning to use SBO 2007.  If this is the case then please try using the AR Down Payment Request.

  • How hard is setting up an e-commerce site?

    Hi
I'm starting an online store, and have heaps of time on my
hands, so thought I would have a crack at doing as much as possible
    myself.
I have almost finished the design and css styling of the
site, and am wondering how hard it is to code the back-end?
The site will be selling stubby holders (drink coolers), and
allows users to upload images for an online contest which decides
the images that end up being printed on the products.
    Here's what I need:
    USER SYSTEM:
    · user registration
    · user login
    · update user profiles
    · users can vote for images that have been entered in a
contest – one vote per image per user (which means each file
must have a unique name, that can't be re-used)
    · post comments on images – one comment per image
per user (comments will need to be stored and moderated before they
go live to filter out inappropriate content)
    · opt in and out for newsletters
    · apply for an affiliation link (by automatically
assigning a member ID number to new users when they register. When
the user goes to the page to get their affiliate link code and
images, the copyable link code already has their member ID in it)
    · track affiliation activities eg click-throughs,
resulting purchases, and credit user’s account with points
that can be redeemed towards the purchase of products
    UPLOAD SYSTEM
    · A system for users to upload their images
    PRODUCT LISTING AND SHOPPING SYSTEM
    · list all available products price, stock availability
    · when clicked, list the details for a design, including
large image, price, stock availability for each size
    · shopping cart
    · checkout function
    · payment facility that caters for instant credit card
and Paypal payments, but also for delayed payment methods such as
direct deposit, money order and cheque
    · payment facility must have discount code option where
affiliates can enter their affiliate code and have any affiliate
points they previously earned translate into a discount on their
    purchase
    ADMINISTRATIVE DATABASE SYSTEM
    · manage users, view/update user details
    · send newsletters to subscribed users
    · view/update orders
    · view/update uploaded designs from artists
    · add/view/update the available for purchase
    procucts/pricing/stock availability
    · track and instantly update and display the vote tally
and voting time left (14 days from when selected images go live)
for each image submitted and selected to take part in the contest.
Also display a comments tally for each image (all of this is when
the user is browsing the images. This info is also displayed when
the user clicks on an image to take them to the voting screen,
where comments that have been left and the voting system is also
    displayed).
I've not had experience with PHP and SQL, but if I take my
time and ask heaps of questions, is is doable, or should I just
hire a pro to code the backend?
    Cheers!
    Shaun

I agree wholeheartedly with Pete's excellent advice, your
    storefront is your
businesses face to the world and will often be the only
    contact your
customers have with you. Make sure it is a pleasant and easy
    experience that
will bring then back time and again by hiring a pro to do
    this for you.

  • Just noticed a recurring pattern of not being credited my $5 pre-order deposit.

The other day I was going over some of my Best Buy gaming purchases this year through MyBB, and noticed for one game, Project CARS on PS4, I was charged an additional $5 for the pre-order bonus (noted as "POB") which should have been free. I contacted customer support and was told I'd only be able to get a refund w. receipt in-store, and it was up to the store's discretion. As I didn't save a recipt from May, I figured it was a loss and not worth trying to make a case over $5.
Then I noticed something else. As a Gamers Club Unlocked member, all new release $59.99 games go down to $51.35 ($47.99 + tax) when the 20% deduction is applied. When accounting for the $5 deposit to reserve an in-store pre-order, the game should work out to $46.35 after tax if the transaction is processed properly. However, going through new release game pre-orders, I noticed that almost every single game I pre-ordered for in-store pickup this year was processed incorrectly and I was charged $51.35 due to not being credited the depsoit I had already paid. I didn't realize at the time, but now it appears as if has been the case for four pre-order purchases, which when added to the $5 I was charged for the pre-order bonus, works out to a $25 total overcharge. Is there any way to try and get my money back on this at this point or no? As some of these purchases were from months ago, I don't still have the receipt and even if I did, would be past the return window (though this wouldn't be a typical return issue).

    Hi Jay86,
You certainly shouldn’t be running into so many issues with pre-order deposits at your local Best Buy. I’m familiar with hiccups with these in the past, but I haven’t heard anything for quite some time now. Our systems are setup to automatically apply your $5 deposit to the final transaction when a game releases, so this leads me to believe that some of your pre-orders aren’t being fulfilled properly at the store level. I’m very sorry if this has occurred on any of your pre-orders!
Like others have mentioned, your local store should be able to refund any pre-order deposits necessary. We also have the ability to locate previous pre-orders/receipts, so I wouldn’t worry too much about that. Considering the timeframe here, you may want to ask to speak with someone from your store’s leadership team as well, should you run into any issues.
Please feel free to let us know if you continue to run into issues with this.
    Best regards,

  • My Super smash bros Wii U pre order because i pre ordered in store and placed a $5 deposit

Let me share what I was told when I arrived at best buy store. By the way I will file a complaint to corporate about this and will see about filing it to better business bureau... I pre ordered my smash brothers bundle in store ( couldn't do it online because there are issues with my account for a year now and after numerous calls to fix it which I have been given so many ticket numbers, best buy just cant fix their own mistakes). I arrive at the store to pick up my pre order and the employee responds with a dissapointing tone"don't tell me you preordered the bundle." the employee just walks back and forth. She then asks her co-worker which she then tells me "we don't have your preorder...we only filled orders for the people who preordered online and fully paid the game." I asked for a manager and told him this is the second time best buy has messed up my pre orders and provide me with poor service. He then says that they only filled the orders from online purchases and who paid in full which makes me feel like I didn't matter only because I placed a $5.00 deposit to guarantee my copy.overall I received poor customer service, he did not own the situation and didn't offer at least some type of compensation to a "former" loyal elite customer. In general, best buy has given me poor service throughout the year by not fixing my ability to order online for a year, messing up my pre order of Mario kart 8 by charging me for the free $10 gift card which was supposed to be free for pre ordering the game and then refusing to give me a refund for the $10 charge, and finally telling me that even though I pre ordered, because I didn't pay the bundle in full I don't get my copy at all... Not even a phone call, common courtesy to notify me. This is it! Best buy will never get business from me and I will never recomment it to anyone. Amazon on the other hand does everything right, and owns the situations and strive to make things right.Amazon is now my go to for shopping all electronic and entertainment needs. Amazon even allowed me to place a new order for the bundle and will receive it next week versus best buy saying " we don't know when we will get them." In short I cancelled my pre order from best buy and took my business elsewhere. Finally when I asked the supervisor for corporate's contact information, he refused to provide it. Now I need to check online and hunt down that information

    Hello redrevolver4,
Thank you for pre-ordering from Best Buy, and thank you for sharing your experience with us.  We as moderators on the forum work at the corporate office, and I am happy to talk to you today.
Reading through your description of events I can certainly understand why you would be disappointed.  It is not our intent to leave any customers out when they pre-order a product with us.  While we are working to fulfill our in-store pre-orders that were not yet completed, I can also understand your desire to cancel the order and go where you could get an order shipped out to you.  I am sorry that was not us this time.
I will certainly document your feedback so that we can learn from it and ensure that our stores are adequately equipped to fulfill orders as our first priority, but provide all care and courtesy when things don't go quite as intended.
I did have one more question for you, though, and I will be sending you a private message with that.  Please watch for that message from me shortly.
    Thank you,

  • Is it possible to create a deposit for RMA Order instead of Credit Memo?

    Hi,
We are on R12.1.1 and at customer location, they have developed some customization which is bringing S.O. on HOLD Status if customer has not paid the amount in advance? (Prepayment scenario)
Now, what they want is : If there is an RMA Order from the customer, then instead of creating credit memo and send back the money to customer, they want to use this amount in the next order from that customer so that S.O. will not go on a HOLD status.
I was exploring Deposit functionality which we can use it as S.O. line level but just wondering, if is it possible to create Deposit as and when RMA order is created in stead of Credit memo?
Also, while using Prepayment functionality in R12.1, I am getting some error related to "Please enter receipt number" when I press Process Payment button.
Any help will be highly appreciated.

  • Pre-order 4s and Deposit is Required @ Apple Store

    Hi,
I am a first time AT&T customer and tried to pre-order iPhone 4s last night. I put my information (address, ssn, etc), and it said "Pick up a new iPhone at an Apple Retail Store" and "$150 deposit is required before the purchases."
I have not gave my credit card info yet, and I have not got any resevation number.
Does this mean I could not pre-order iPhone, and I need to line up in the morning 10/14 to get it? Or, will they keep my iPhone at the store?
Thank you for your advice in advance.

I found that this means the phone is not reserved.  I called AT&T and finally reserved it!

  • Deposit invoices and payemnts from Order Manangment

    Hi All,
We manually create Deposit invoices in AR then generate the Receipt and manually apply these receipt to Deposit invoices.
Accountant generally complete this activity while booking the order. The goods are delivered to customers based on schedules.
for each delivery of goods accountant generate manual standard invoice in AR and mentioned in commitment field the deposit invoice number close invoices.
Now management advised to use the Oracle Order Manangement and remove the manual process of generating AR invoices and Receipt.
Can someone guide you how this can be achieved.
    Thanking you in anticipation.

    Hello,
There are two OM-AR Integrated features may meet stated requirement:
    (1) Using Commitment (Deposits) in Sales Orders Lines, and
    (2) Generating AR Prepayments from OM.
Which one to go with depends on your business process or concept of advance payments. Following explains briefly the steps involved in each process:
    Deposits:
Enter Deposit Trx In AR to record customer liability to make prepayment for goods/services you will provide in the future (independent of sale orders)
Enter Receipts to record customer prepayment incurred in previous step
While entering Sales Order line(s) select which Commitment the Sales Order line to be applied to.
When a Sales Order line is fulfilled and the Auto-invoice process is kicked off, the Invoice is created directly against the Commitment in question (i.e. Invoice is automatically applied to Deposit via adjustment applied to it while Deposit Commitment Balance is reduced by the Adjustments generated against the Invoice).
    Prepayments:
Create a Sales Order in OM
Attach a Payment term which is defined with Prepayment option checked.
    Book the Sales Order
Select Payments from the Action list.
    Enter payment information
Click on ‘Process Payments’ button to get the prepayment receipt created.
Click on ‘View Receipt’ to view the receipt that got created in step 6 in AR.
Fulfill the sales order lines and Run the Autoinvoice import program
The Autoinvoice import program will automatically kick-off Prepayments Matching Program
Check previously created receipt after the Autoinvoice import to confirm that the receipt has been automatically applied to the invoice.
To roll out the details, let me hear from you.
    Thanks

  • Pre-order Deposit Negation

So recently I picked up my Watch Dogs pre-order, for which I had put a $10 deposit on. When I picked it up, the price on the screen when I swiped my card reflected the $10 deposit and my GCU discount ($41.95). I didn't really look at the receipt, and have since thrown it away, but when I checked my checking account online, I noticed that I had been charged $51.95, the $10 deposit seeming to have disappeared. Is there any way to resolve this now?

    Good afternoon superline51,
If you put down a $10 deposit when you pre-ordered Watch Dogs, then that $10 should have been deducted from the pre-tax total when you picked up your copy.  I used the email address you registered with the forum to review your purchase history and it does appear the pre-order deposit may not have been applied correctly.
With that being said, I am going to send you a private message so that I can go over the purchase with you in additional detail.  You can check your private messages by logging into the forum and clicking on the envelope icon located at the top of the page.
Thank you for posting to the forum!

    Please help me,
    Hi,
I have an order brandboad. i need deposit £50 but i don't know how to pay by debit card to process going on.

You can't specify how an item is billed, if you have a credit on your account then that will automatically be used - your credit card will only be charged when your balance is zero.
If you want your credit card to be charged then you could try gifting the song to yourself (I haven't tried it but I think that you should be able to gift to yourself) - you can't use an account's balance for gifting, you can only use a credit card.
