Derivation - KEDR

I have a billing document where the sales district (BZIRK) from the ship to party flows to the COPA table. How can I restrict the PA table to take the BZIRK value from the billing header table (VBRK) and not from the ship to party master (KNA1)? I tried to create a new table lookup where the source field origin is VBRK-BZIRK, but for the COPA origin, I do not see a field for the billing document number (COPA-VBELN). The problem is that COPA does not have an option of putting VBELN.  Is there a way of adding it there somehow by a userexit or creating a new field in the source field? Is it possible to add it to the available fields? How can I add fields to the USERTEMP1 field?
Thanks,
Tal

Derivation of sales district is Standard SAP delivered Characteristic derivations you  cannot change it
however you can disable (BZIRK) it by flowing to  COPA
Goto
KEDR
Goto View-Display all steps then you ll be able to see all the system delivered derivations then select Sales district from Customer/Sales Organization/Distributio table lookup there you can see the source fields and target fields
To disable it goto condition tab and select Any organisational unit and give condition <> and value of the organisational unit..
This condition stops flowing of data to COPA

  • Field 'Version' not available as a source field in COPA derivation

    HI,
I don't see the field 'Version' as a source field in CO-PA derivations (KEDR). Wondering why it is not available for derivation when I can see it as one of the fixed characteristics. Am I missing something in configuration?
    Thanks in advance.

    HI Pradeep,
I am sorry for the delayed response. Please go through note 134889 for your query.

  • Details from Billing doc line item in COPA

    Hi,
We are posting billing docs with multiple ship-to parties on the different line items. In COPA I need to get hold of the ship-to party. There are no sales orders created in the process.
In neither the derivations (KEDR) nor in the user-exit am I able to get hold of the billing doc line item nr, as that is what I need to determine the ship-to party from the VBRP table.
Any ideas on how I can pick up the ship-to party from the billing doc?
    Thanks in advance
    Piet Strydom

    HI,
    Thanks for your response.
Yes, we have ship-to party at the line-item level. Technically it is stored on VBPA, but the access into VBPA is the billing doc and line item number.
I have not been able to find good (SAP) documentation for exit COPA0005, but what I did find warned against changing characteristics? That should be done in COPA0001. However, the RBELN and RPOSN fields are not populated yet.

  • COPA and BSEG-SGTXT

We have postings that are happening in FI, and the users are populating the text fields on these postings.  Is there a way to pass this text field over to COPA to bring into reporting and display of documents in that module?

Your question is more appropriate for the ERP Financials - Controlling forum, but I don't have authority to move it.  So I'll go ahead and try to give you an answer here.  But keep that in mind when posting about CO-PA in the future since a larger audience will be found at the other [forum|SAP ERP Financials - Controlling; This requirement is an unusual request and the only way I think it could be possible is as follows.
1 Define a new characteristic (KEA5) with the option "No check" data validation so that no master data would be expected in CO-PA (KES1).
2 Add this new characteristic to your operating concern (KEA0) and activate and generate the operating concern.
3 Utilize COPA enhancement COPA0005 (SMOD) by defining an enhancement project in (CMOD) and calling the function module EXIT_SAPLKEII_002 and programming your logic to read SGTXT from include INCLUDE ZXKKEU08.  (Notice that use of enhancement COPA0005 is not related to CO-PA derivation (KEDR), rather it is a way to directly modify the CO-PA data passed by the FI/CO document.
Here is some relevant documenation on COPA005.
This enhancement lets you modify how actual data is updated in
Profitability Analysis via the FI/CO interface.
    Caution!
Using the components in this enhancement means that you are modifying
the standard update of actual data from Sales and Distribution (SD),
Financial Accounting (FI), or Materials Management (MM) to Profitability
Analysis. To avoid data from being updated inconsistently, you need to
have a solid understanding of the "FI/CO document" interface!
Make changes with extreme caution. If unsure, contact SAP!
The components comprise the following function modules:
    o   EXIT_SAPLKEII_001
    o   EXIT_SAPLKEII_002
You are responsible for ensuring the consistency of any changes made!
Test each change made extensively before use in the productive system.
    For further clarification, contact SAP.
You should strongly consider whether this solution will negatively affect your system performance by growing your segment-level characteristics (table CE4XXXX where XXXX is your operating concern).  You may want to in fact make this new characteristic field a non-segment level characteristic (KEQ3).  This will disable you from viewing this field in summary level CO-PA reports (KE31), but it would available from line item based reports (KE91) or from a custom BW infoprovider which gets line item data.  You could of course use a combination of KE31 reports and KE91 reports by jumping from summary to detail reports and passing the selected characteristics.  This is accomplished via the split report (KE3L) option.

  • Profitiabilty Segment view in FB03

    Hi all,
the profitability segment view in FB03 (little button with yellow arrow) shows us only 4 value fields, but we have defined many more. I was wondering how can I change the view to show all value fields I want to see there?
    Thanks
    Anne

    HI,
I think you are referring to Characteristics and not 'Value fields' in FI document. It could be that a Characteristic group is assigned to FI postings (RFBU) in transaction KE4G which restricts the Characteristics which you see in you Accounting document Profitability segment. Characteristics group is defined in transaction KEPA.
As regards, editing PS in FB02...not possible, once the document is posted. You can however, consider reversing the document and posting a new document and at which point you can edit the Characteristics values. You may also consider using Characteristic derivations (KEDR) for future use, instead of manually entering values in a Profitability segment.
Hope this is what you are looking for.

  • Cost Center cost allocate to CO-PA

    Hi Guys,
My issue is have 5 cost centers departments,(EX FI,SALES , LOGIST & Others),5 products each product have profit center, as per requirement product wise cost center master created each department .
based on above information cost center cost allocate to CO-PA Through co-pa assessment cycles. but without creation of assessment cycles cost directly  cost allocate to co-pa through value fields. mean template allocation is it possible.
how to map this scenario. pls give me solution.
    Regards
    SIVAJI

Remaining balances (under/over absorption) in cost centers can be assessed to respective profit centers/CO-PA using profit center grouping in the cycle segments (KEU1) or using characteristic derivation (KEDR) configuration.
    Hope that helps

    Hi,
In your operating concern in Data structure did you maintain those characteristic or value fields. It should be mandatory to maintain those fields Then only in characteristics derivative KEDR you can mainatain derivative rules

  • Transport Problem - for KEDR Derivation rule

We are trying to create derivation rule through transaction KEDR without any values. After creating derivation rule, it is creating workbench transport request eventhough K9RE* table is client dependent.
We have different transport routes/groups for customizing and workbench. SAP Layer is assinged to workbench transport group with one another Z* layer.
When we are trying to create request it is creating workbench transport request eventhough it is client dependent. It is using KEG0 package which is assinged to SAP layer.
Workbench transport are not going to all clients and we have to move request manually to other clients.
What should we do for changing this behaviour?
    Thanks,
    Miral.

    With detailed explanation:
I thing previous post with was not detailed enough. Please see below.
We have created two different transport group for differentiating
    customizing and workbench transport request.
ZECD layer is assigned to /CUST/ group where as ZWBK and SAP layer is
    assinged to /WRKB/ group.
We are moving all client independent transports (assigned to /WRKB/
group) to only 1 client in other systems.
While creating derivation rule through transaction KEDR, it is not
allowing us to assing /CUST/ group eventhough config is client dependent.
It is using package KEG0 which is assinged to SAP layer and SAP layer isassinged to /WRKB/ group in our configuration.
The Derivation rule config is client dependent eventhough it is creatingworkbench request. We would like to know why it is creating workbench
    request instead of customizing request.
    Thanks,
    Miral.

  • KEDR - Derivation Rules in FICO

    Hi all,
I want to know about the Transaction KEDR like what is the use of this tcode, how it works, etc.......  As im new to FICO i dont understand about the Derivation Strategy, Derivation rules which is used in this Tcode.
Can anyone guide me on this. It will be a great help if anyone help me out in this.
    Thanks in advance.......

    Hi,
Derivation strategy determines the way to derive the values. Derivation rule will actually make you derive the values based on given parameters.
As I said earlier, say for example Business needs to analyse COPA values on Department wise. Now department field say not captured in any other means, then to derive the value of department and post in copa, u use KEDR.
In KEDR u specify the source fields which in turn act as the parameter comibnation throght which target field Department is to be populated.

    Hi

So do i have to delete the old rule step completely  and create a new rule?
Will there be any issues if system is live and i am trying to change derivation rules?

  • KEDR COPA Derivation Step Conditions with Technical Fields?

    Greetings Experts,
I want to create a KEDR derivation step to be used for redetermining KNDNR for freight cost documents coming from Transportation.  So I need to restrict it to documents whose record type (vrgar) = 'B' and reference transaction (copa_awtyp) = 'MKPF'.
Yet these fields are not available for selection in the dropdown on the 'Conditions' tab.  So then I thought I could do an Enhancement instead, and write CHECK statements on vrgar and copa_awtyp inside the code.  But I can't access a structure where these fields are populated.  My ABAPer could not pull in CE01000; I found <copa_item> in the function module KEDR_COPA_DERIVE, but I lose it when I get to EXIT_SAPLKEDRCOPA_001.  Where is it hiding?
I've also seen SCN posts that refer to I_GLOBAL and USERTEMP fields - I don't know how to use these - something about mapping from a source field?  Could I get VRGAR and COPA_AWTYP that way, and either use it in the EXIT or access it in the Conditions tab?
    Any help is most appreciated!!
    Regards,
    Adrian

    Hi,
As far as I know the derivation functionality in COPA is meant for derivation of characteristic values to store them in a characteristic field.
If you splitt up the derivation in two steps it might be possible to use the USERTEMP fields, to store the information needed and to pass it on to an other lookup step as a key-reference.

  • Problem in using the PA characteristic derivation using KEDR transaction

    Hi All,
For one of my requirements i need to update the 'KAUFN'  field in CE1XXX table with the reference document no(Contract number- VGBEL) which is there in VBAK table while createing the sales order using VA01 transaction.  I have implemented one derivation using the user exit EXIT_SAPLKEDRCOPA_001. I got succeeded in updating the structure I_COPA_ITEM with the VGBEL filed, but the problem it is not updating in the table CE1XXX table.
Please suggest me regarding this problem. Is there any other way for this issue.

  • PA - derivation rule - KEDR

    Hi Experts
I  have territory characteristic in the PA which is derivation of the customer country - every country is linked to a specific territory.
I have changed a specific country territory and from now on new invoices are posted to the new territory in the PA.
How I can allocate also the old invoices in this country to the new territory?
    Thanks

    Hi Eric.
Excellent. Thats exactly what I looked for.
I have another issue now, in the KE30 everything is OK, but when I look at the original PA documents, I can see the original territory.
Hoe can I see the realingnment documents, or better, the link between the original PA document and the new territory?
    Is it possible?
    Thanks

    Hi,
Basically i understand that you wish to have HR posting to COPA
Please take a look at attached note 130344.
Basically according to the note there are 2 options:
    1. The update of data from the Payroll in Controlling should be carried out in the standard system to the cost center. The actual commissions posted to cost center can then be posted to Profitability Analysis by assessment.
    2. If you assign the relevant account via the automatic account assignment in transaction OKB9 to profitability segment a costing-based CO-PA document should be created for the postings of transaction PCP0. The profitability segment determined should only be filled rather scarcely though as not much information is available in this case.
