Descriptions for attributes is not coming in PPOMA_BBP

Hi Friends,
We are facing a problem.
We have maintained the attributes for Purchasing Organisation. Currently we can see the description only in english , if we logon using french language we dont get the description.
Though when we check the structure in SE11 where these attributes have been used, we get the description maintained in french too.
How can we overcome this problem?

Hi,
Are you referring that you could not view your Purchasing Organization text description in French? All the object and text wrt to language is maintained should appears in table HRP1000. Take a look if your P.Org object is maintained in french.

Datasource: ORA-02019: connection description for remote database not found

Hi,
I recently made the datasource to point to a new host, and using the EM console tested the connectivity to the datasource to be successful.
Java code that refers to the DS is also the same as before that was working as only the connection string has been changed, but now trying to access the web-application shows the following error in the logs:

What could be the reason? Is there any other app server datasource related setting that needs to be done or is it some other issue - as I said 'testing the connection from EM console connects successfully'.

The issue is resolved now.
One of the queries used a db link that was missing on the new database and therefore the error from the java code.
Since testing for connectivity using DS through EM console does not check for any db link (using the default query it executes) connectivity was successful.

I have an interface that loads Oracle DB from an Oracle source(JD Edwards). It is mostly one to one mapping of the columns, and is utilizing LKM Oracle to Oracle(DBLink), IKM Oracle Incremental Update and CKM Oracle.
I am getting an error when executing the interface which states 'Connection Description for Remote Database Not Found' at the 'Insert Flow into I$ table' step in the Operator logs.

I am seeing things are working fine, when I am using LKM SQL to Oracle in combination with IKM Oracle Incremental Update. It is only in the case of using LKM Oracle to Oracle(DBLINK) in combination with IKM Oracle Incremental Update, that the above mentioned error is thrown.
Please suggest on the resolution in using LKM Oracle to Oracle(DBLINK) with IKM Oracle Incremental Update...

Print out in MB90 for GRN is not coming in English

Dear Friends,
While taking the print out in MB90 for GRN document, it is not coming in English.It is coming in some unreadableformat.
In MN21 I have mentioned the language as EN.
In the configuration of output type WE03 I have mentioned the language as EN intransaction code M706.

Type Column for Email is not coming in Business context

Hi All,
I have enhanced the component ICCMP_BT_BCXT.
I am able to get the required values in business context.
I get hyperlinks in the TYPE column for customer follow-up/interaction record.
But when email is sent then TYPE column does not show the hyperlink as Email.
Other details like key/description are occuring for email.
Any pointers on how to get the hyperlink for Email.

by default when you get the hyperlink for interations record/followup document, its logical because on click on this hyperlink, system takes you to the interaction record/Followup document that is linked.
If you set it to email, and if we provide hyperlink to it, where should it navigate on click of the hyperlink ?
Its very easy to provide the hyperlink however it is very important to know what is required on click of the hyperlink, to give the right design .

but i get only FullName in my popup.DOB and Email never comes up. I have made sure that DOB or Email data is present for the employee i'm hovering.

We did some changes in material master descriptions in ECC. After the weekly run of integration models also these changes are not updating in APO.
Please let me know do we need to changes in integration models or CIF settings.

I am giving some general guidelines on Master Data transfer using CIF. This will likely resolve your issue.
By running below programs in their order, you will be able to achieve Periodic Data Transfers through Batch Jobs.
Generate integration model - RIMODGEN (Same as CFM1) and
Activate integration model - RIMODAC2 (Same as CFM3)
And transaction CFP1 or program RCPTRAN4 can be used for Processing change pointers
This approach will transfer the differential data w.r.t Master data. It will also help minimize data transfer related to master data.
Transaction CFC9 :
For master data it is commonly used - Option#1 of "ALE Change Transfer, Periodic" from CFC9. Changes to master data objects in ECC are recorded and then transfer of the changes is done periodically.
However if required, it can be transferred Immediately using Option#2 of "BTE Transfer, Immediately" from CFC9.
If Option#1 selected then,
1.CIF Message types must be activated for change recording. Transaction BD50
2.Activate Change Pointers. Transaction BD61.
3.The fields relevant to a message type to be selected. Transaction BD52
4.Table BDCPV can be used to view Change pointers.
Please check: SAP Note 533755 - Description of the delta logic or the program RIMODINI. This note has some key recommendations on use of RIMODINI/CIF Delta Logic

Element Entries for some employee not coming

Dear All
I am facing a problem in element entries. Let me take you step by step.
1 - I defined 7 employees and obviously one is assigned as CEO and other as management and supervisors grade.
2 - Suppose Mr. A is a CEO and MR. Z is a supervisor.
3 - I created elements name Company Car element and COLA allowance element.
4 - I created element link and provided Company Car element to a person having position of CEO and grade of Executive.
5 - I created another element link and provided COLA allowance element to supervisors with standard check box checked.
6 - when i returned to employee form to confirm the element entries then their i found that list of value containing entries of company car allowance for CEO is coming in element entries form, but when i check for supervisors then in entries form list of values containing no entries.
Note: Effective date for all the entries i took is 01-Jan-2009. I am setting up all the setup on vision instance.
Can any one share the idea what could be going wrong.

Proposed Invoicetype for contract is not coming rightly

I have maintained 3 types of Service Contract types for each sales organizations.And the billing type is also diff for each Contact type.
Like ZPWV Contact type----
ZPFV Billing type.
In VOV8 i have assigned ZPFV Billing type for the proposed billing type for ZPWV contract type.
But when i create invoice for ZPWV contract type it is coming different invoice type insted of ZPFV billing type.
Where to do the necessary settings so that for that particular Contract type only ZPFV should come.

Billing plan would not have that kind of effect.
Just check Billing Request under Contract in sales Doc type. That might be the root cause.

Dynamic Texts from Bex ( for Key Figures ) not coming to WEBI Query

Hi Gurus,
We have a Query in BEx : Each Key figure column text changes dynamically - Like based on Present month
it will Display Month +1 Month +2 up to Month +12. Used dynamic Text variables .
But when i created the universe and Webi report , i am missing the text in the column for Key figures .
How should i get the column text in Webi which is same as in Bex : Points will be awarded for helpful
answers.

text variables with replacement path are supported in BO4.0, see following document: SAP BusinessObjects BI4 - Supported BEx Query Elements
As an example after entering 2012 in the prompts window, the name of the corresponding key figure will dynamically change:

Im not sure though if this is the case with unv universe access to BEx queries.

ORA-02019: connection description for remote database not found

Hi all!
I've created Business Area (and EUL) through Oracle Warehouse Builder (looking at Oracle by Example tutorial Oracle By Example (OBE) - Oracle Warehouse Builder 10g Release 2 - Business Intelligence Modeling link: http://www.oracle.com/technology/obe/10gr2_owb/owb10gr2_gs/owb/lesson7/bi-modeling.htm ). When using Oracle administration edition I can connect and open this business area. I can edit the dimensions and cubes folders in it.
Then I connect top Discoverer Plus with the same user and EUL. In creating new workbook wizard I can select all of my dimensions and measures, but when I click 'Finish' I get the above error. I looked at SQL and for every table in SQL a DB link to the same database where I work at is used. Can anyone tell me, why?
I have only one target module in OWB and that is the same database. Only source data comes from another databases and DB links must be used.
Maybe the DB links are not even the real problem and I did something else wrong. Any help would be appreciated.

If I paste the SQL into PL/SQL developer I get the same error, but when i remove DB links out of FROM section, the SELECT statement executes. I think (perhaps I'm completely wrong) the problem is that DB links are used even though this isn't the remote database, it is the database I'm working on.
FROM section looks like this:

OWNER.DIM_TABLE_2@"SERVICE_NAME_FROM_TNSNAMES@OWNER_LOCATION" o100023...
If I try to make a DB link with such name, I get this error:
ORA-02082:     a loopback database link must have a connection qualifier
Cause:     attempt to create a database link with the same name as the current database.
Action:     a loopback database link needs a trailing qualifier, e.g. MYDB.DEV.US.ORACLE.COM@INST1 - the '@INST1' is the qualifier
As I said, when I remove @"SERVICE_NAME_FROM_TNSNAMES@OWNER_LOCATION" parts from FROM section, SELECT executes without errors.

Pop up message for advance not coming at the time of invoicing.

The moment IV is being made pop up message for advance is not coming for those vendors who have been posted with advance before Apr.2010. Apr.2010 onward it is coming correctly for same vendors. FBKP checked and found ok about message setting.

Date not coming in proper format after applying formula in Update Rules

Hi All,
I have two time characteristics "Goods Issue date" and "Goods Return date" and One key figure "No. of days elapsed".
The key figure "number of days elapsed" is being calculated by taking difference of "goods issue date" from "goods return date", but the format for that is not coming proper for example:-
Goods Issue Date is 21.06.2006
Goods Return Date is 22.08.2006
According to formula No. of days elapsed shud be 62
but it is coming as 04.03.0001.
Please help as it is a urgent requirement.

Created a PDF and added sticky notes, saved and emailed for review, recipient could not see or read the sticky notes. What needs to be done for my sticky notes to be seen and read when emailed. Thanks

I scanned a map and printed to create a PDF document, at that point I added sticky notes of different locations with notes of descriptions, saved and email to client for review.
Client received email but when he opened the attachment, all he could see was the map and none of my sticky notes.
What needs to be done so the recipient can see my sticky notes and read the descriptions for each sticky note?
