Desktop Manager Folders getting unchecked and Unable to Read and Modify Filters with DM...

Like most people I have sub folders within Outlook to keep clients and employees separated. I just upgraded to the 8330 from a Dino 7100i. I set up my folders under Email Settings, General, Choose Folders so that I can send email to the device that is important.
The problem is I stop getting email from employees randomly and when I go check the Desktop Manager (DM) the boxes are unchecked. I've never had this problem with the Old BB. The folder structure is only a few deep, meaning: Inbox\Employee\Employee folders that are checked or not checked.

Anybody have any ideas? Your help will be greatly appreciated.
I'm also unable to view and edit my Filters in this version of DM. The window is unreadable and all jammed together..... am I the only one with this problem?

I am also having an issue viewing and editing my Filters. They are all jammed together. I have uninstalled the DM completely including all registry entries, recreated my profile in Outlook and reinstalled. This has done nothing to fix the issue. I am using DM v4.7, BB 8130 Pearl, Sprint Firmware 4.3.0.203, Outlook 2007 on a Vista Enterprise 32 bit machine. Anyone have a fix for this issue?

Why am I getting an error "Unable to establish a secure connection with (mail server)"? And what can I do?

I'm trying to set up email on my Firefox OS Flame (OS is Boot2Gecko 2.0.0.0-prerelease) and getting an error:
Unable to establish a secure connection with mail.velociraptor.info
I'm on Dreamhost, the certificate belongs to `*.dreamhost.com` but I'm not even sure this is a certificate error, and if it is, how I'd go about fixing it. I found the Certificate Manger, but I don't know how to download the certificate and add it, and I don't know if this is even the problem.

If this is a self-signed certificate or one where the CA is not trusted on FFOS, you will get this error.
There is currently no proper user interface for adding certificates. You could have a look at the method described at this page: http://www.pending.io/add-cacert-root-certificate-to-firefox-os/
There are also several bugs open regarding this problem, e.g. https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=874346. They have additional information that could help you to find out, if this is the problem you are seeing.

What apps are you trying? TV out video only works with apps that support TV out. If the app does not support TV out you will still get aoudio via the component cable

How to do a Get-ADGroup and pass SamAccountName with spaces

Hi,
I read a text file of groups in SamAccountName form into a variable, then do a Get-ADgroup to ensure they are in a specific SearchBase, then I want to delete them if found in the Searchbase. Problem is the SamAccountNames have spaces in them
and I cant figure out the right syntax in the Get-ADGroup for the $Group variable to accomodate the spaces, or put quotes around the $Group variable. Examples of SamAccountNames are Accounts Payable and LDW URP

If you're using the SamAccountName then I would recommend you use the parameter set that allows you to provide it to the -Identity parameter, not the -Filter parameter. You can see the three parameter sets if you do a Get-Help Get-ADGroup and look in the
Syntax section. The example below will read in groups listed in a text file, even if there are spaces in the groups, and return information about each of them as they pass through the Get-ADGroup cmdlet. You'll definitely want to keep your try-catch blocks
in place to help gracefully handle any issues where a group cannot be found in the directory.

TS4268 Is there a real fix to get iMessage and FaceTime working with iOS7 on my iPad? Tried that 8.8.8.8 and time rest thing but they don't. Everything else works.... Says the network connection is the problem but only for these two programs.

Apps are on my iPad and worked fine with iOS 6. When iOS7 was loaded, I can no longer sign in to these two apps using my Apple ID. These apps are on my phone and work fine. This problem is on on my iPad.

Color Management - How get monitor and printer to match?

We have not been able to get what we see on our monitor and what we get out of our printer to reasonably match - the prints are always significantly darker than the monitor. It makes working on Photoshop Elements (both 5 and Trial 7) virtually worthless, as we can't rely on getting out what we see after making adjustments to our photos. We bought a Colormunki to calibrate the monitor and create paper profiles, but that didn't solve the problem. We have worked with the Colormunki people for weeks and haven't made any progress. We are sure that we are using the correct settings in both Elements and the Printer to have Elements control color and apply the ICC profile. We have an Epson Stylus Photo R2400 printer and a Samsung SyncMaster 2253BW monitor. We think, at this point, that the monitor maybe the problem. Apparently it is known for its excessive brightness - as even with the calibration set for very low brightness, the problem remains. Anyway, our question is whether anyone can think of a solution or, if not, can recommend a monitor more likely to give us a reliable match to the printer - what photographers/photoshop users use?? alternatively, any ideas where we can contact people who might be able to help???? Thanks in advance for your help.

I'm having the same problem with a Syncmaster 226CW Elements 7 and a Spyder3. I've cal'd the monitor to 6500 K and 90 cd/SQM but the prints are still very dark on my Canon MP520. I've also tried letting Elements manage the color and selected one of the Canon profiles -- again no luck. Several emails to Canon just gave me advice to clean nozzles and ck patterns -- no help from Canon so far. Pondering what to try next....

All little difficult to describe, but I will include a pic as well as a visual.
We are using some Q180's as media players for digital signage. For the most part they have all been working fine except for 2. Randomaly, the signage presentation will re-size itself and move into the upper left corner. This happens randomly and not at the same times each day. They are hooked up to a LED tv via HDMI. I have tried switiching the HDMI cables, ensuring all drivers are current and tried most all the basic troubleshooting.
A simple re-start will get everything back looking and running fine. Again, this is a digital signage application so we cannot tell if this has occured until the client calls to let us know which is not good for us.
I do apologize if this is not too clear of a description. Please refer to the image for a visual. Also, please feel free to ask me any questions you think may help you.

I found if you adjust the refresh rate (in display settings) then back again it stopps snapping.
Do you all have an AOC monitor connected by HDMI?

Unable to sync - getting error message unable to read or write to disk

Please help! I got this ipod for christmas and am unable to sync it. I have already restored factory settings, recovered it, restarted computer, went to hardware device manager and it says device is working properly - what do I do now?

Are you getting this exact text when you attempt to sync your iPod?:
"Attempting to copy to the disk "------" failed. Disk cannot be read from or written to."

Back up all data.
This procedure will unlock all your user files (not system files) and reset their ownership and access-control lists to the default. If you've set special values for those attributes on any of your files, they will be reverted. In that case, either stop here, or be prepared to recreate the settings if necessary. Do so only after verifying that those settings didn't cause the problem. If none of this is meaningful to you, you don't need to worry about it.
Step 1
If you have more than one user account, and the one in question is not an administrator account, then temporarily promote it to administrator status in the Users & Groups preference pane. To do that, unlock the preference pane using the credentials of an administrator, check the box marked Allow user to administer this computer, then reboot. You can demote the problem account back to standard status when this step has been completed.
Triple-click the following line to select it. Copy the selected text to the Clipboard (command-C):

☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Terminal in the icon grid.
Paste into the Terminal window (command-V). You'll be prompted for your login password, which won't be displayed when you type it. You may get a one-time warning not to screw up. If you don’t have a login password, you’ll need to set one before you can run the command. If you see a message that your username "is not in the sudoers file," then you're not logged in as an administrator.
The command will take a noticeable amount of time to run. Wait for a new line ending in a dollar sign (“$”) to appear, then quit Terminal.
Step 2 (optional)
The first step should give you usable permissions in your home folder. This step will restore special attributes set by OS X on some user folders to protect them from unintended deletion or renaming. You can skip this step if you don't consider that protection to be necessary.
Boot into Recovery by holding down the key combination command-R at startup. Release the keys when you see a gray screen with a spinning dial.
When the OS X Utilities screen appears, select
Utilities ▹ Terminal
from the menu bar. A Terminal window will open.
In the Terminal window, type this:
resetpassword
That's one word, all lower case, with no spaces. Then press return. A Reset Password window will open. You’re not going to reset a password.
Select your boot volume ("Macintosh HD," unless you gave it a different name) if not already selected.
Select your username from the menu labeled Select the user account if not already selected.
Under Reset Home Directory Permissions and ACLs, click the Reset button.
Select

My personally owned Acrobat 11 pro gets loaded and unloaded Along with My 49.95 Creative Cloud.

There must be a way to keep these apart. After I got my subscription to Creative cloud for $50.00 A Month I never USE MY OWN SOFTWARE ANYMORE. When one loads, they both load and both don't work at all.They both end up fully loaded so if you think uninstall one they both come off at the same time. Normally I know some place to start, tonight I'm baffled..It's a 50 TB Desktop machine formatting it is NOT an option,

With the creative manager, you do not have to choose to install acrobat again if it already is on your system. However if it find your version outdated, it can offer you to update it, but you don't have to update it.
Acrobat itself will offer updates separately from the manager. So you can update from that if you choose to.
Acrobat will not uninstall from the manager unless you choose to.
What has be baffled is it stop working after the manager is installed. This is a bit beyond my expertise so hopefully someone else can help with that.

My iPhone 5 iOS 7.0.4 still gets hot and drains battery with everything but cellular turned off. What to do?

Have a new iPhone bought in late July 2013. It had zero heating issues and battery issues until the past week (Nov. 2013). Now, the iPhone gets hot to the touch and the battery drains within 2 to 3 hours, EVEN AFTER I HAVE DISABLED ALMOST EVERY FEATURE OF THE iPHONE.
This iPhone has iOS 7.0.4, installed within last 36 hours. I then erased the entire iPhone and restarted it as a New iPhone. Then I went in and turned off everything in the way of Settings that permit disabling. All notifications, spotlight searches, application updating, accessibility features, push features, location services, etc. were turned off or disabled. Brightness is set to Auto. Don't use the iCloud.
After doing all of that, which essentially rendered this iPhone just a clunky old cell phone, not even using WiFi, I connected to iTunes on my computer and restored my backed up apps, photos.
After the Restore, I went back into settings and made certain that, again, all notifications, app services, location services, updatings, etc. were disabled, still.
The problem persists.
It seems the only solution is to get rid of all my Apps and never use WiFi, or iCloud, or Mail. That is unacceptable.
Does anyone have a solution, besides my calling on the warranty on this phone?

Basic troubleshooting from the User's Guide is reset, restart, restore (first from backup then as new). Try each of these in order until the issue is resolved.
If the problem continues, take the device to Apple for evaluation and possible replacement.
