Determining Organizational Model information for a BP

I am currently working on a report development where there is a requirement to show both Territory and Organizational Model information.
For Territories, it's a simple matter of using the available function modules to determine a Sales Person and their area for a particular customer post-code. Finding similar information for a Service Engineer maintained in the Organizational Model is proving very difficult.
Is anyone aware of any functional modules i could use to determine this information using just BP information (i.e. post code, partner number, etc)??
I understand that i would have to determine the Sales Area information before being able to fetch the Service Org, Team, Territory etc information. Having searched for function modules within CRM and on multiple forums, i haven't found a way of doing this.
This is the first time i've worked on Organizational models so any help would be very much appreciated.

Hi Indi,
I dont know about what kind of data you require, but i think this FM would be useful
CMS_BUPA_ORGDATA_GET_BL.
Also for details of an org can be obtained for a CRM_ORGMAN* any of the FM.

  • Determining Gapless Playback Information Repeats Unexpectedly

I allowed the original Gapless Playback scan to complete on all songs in my library (just 5K songs, but a slow PC). However, some songs are scanned again every time I start iTunes AND every time I sync my iPod and sometimes randomly (like when I download a new iPod Touch App). I normally allow the process to complete (again) every time. When it occurs during an iPod sync, is causes the sync to hesitate at the end of the process, apparently waiting for iTunes to finish the Gapless Playback scan. This is infuriating!
While I can cancel the Gapless Playback scan, doing so does not prevent iTunes from performing the Gapless Playback scan again the next time I start iTunes or sync my iPod! Sometimes when I cancel the Gapless Playback scan during an iPod sync, my iPod will show NO MEDIA after disconnecting it when iTunes tells me it is OK to Disconnect! This forces me to sync the iPod AGAIN, which causes YET ANOTHER Gapless Playback scan on the SAME songs! Naturally, I allow the process to complete, which solves NOTHING.
    WHAT I'VE TRIED:
    1) I have attempted to play with the "Part of a gapless album" setting on the affected songs to no avail (set to On, Apply, then Off, Apply).
    2) I have dumped my iTunes library and created an entirely new one from scratch (holding the Shift key when starting iTunes to create a new library in a new location).
    3) I have completely uninstalled and reinstalled iTunes.
    4) I have tried this on another computer and found that I experience the exact same problem on exactly the same songs on both Windows Vista Ultimate 32-bit and Windows XP Professional 32-bit.
    5) I have submitted feedback to Apple (nearly an exact copy of the first 2 paragraphs you see above).
Note that I cannot re-rip these songs because I received them as part of a bonus package for a Sony PlayStation 3 video game (God of War 3, Collector's Edition). The MP3 files I have of these songs are the only ones I'll ever have access to. Also note that there is nothing obviously wrong with the song files because they play fine and all metadata appears to be valid.
How do I instruct iTunes to forever ignore Gapless Playback Information on these troubled songs, to NEVER scan them again, while keeping them in my iTunes library? Thank you for your attention on this matter.
    null

I know this is filed under iTunes for Windows, but I found this discussion whilst Googling for a solution to this exact problem under OSX 10.5.8, so I just thought I'd add my name to the list of people who are suffering!
Running OS X 10.5.8 with iTunes 9.1.1 (12) and a 160GB iPod classic. My iTunes library recently exceeded the capacity of my iPod, so I thought I would experiment with the converting higher bitrate files to 128kbps AAC option. Naively, I thought this would only address lossless files, as the idea of re-encoding a lossy file seemed a little silly to me - but no, even VBR MP3 with an avrage bitrate of not much over 128kbps got re-encoded. During the process (which was painfully slow - disk activity was at around 1.5MB/s for the entire duration) many of these suffered from Unknown Error (-50) and simply would not convert. All in all it took me 72 hours to convert my library on a 2.4ghz machine with 4gig of ram
I guess the above doesn't really pertain to this thread, so just consider it backstory However, now that the transfer has been completed, every time I update my iPod, for example when I plug it in to charge and it syncs a couple of new podcasts, it determines gapless playback information for 11,000 songs in my library! Every time!! I can't begin to describe how frustrating this is, and I can only hope they come up with a cross-platform fix in the very near future. I doubt personally we'll even see the issue officially acknowledged, but hopefully Apple are at least working on addressing it.
As a side note - Apple, if you are reading this, please allow us to only re-encode specific types of files to 128kbps AAC - I'd love to do this for my lossless albums, but I really don't want to do it for my V0 MP3s.

  • Organizational Model Determination Rule

    Hello !
I am looking for an organizational model determination rule which is looking for the Org Unit of the given employee responsible. Could anybody help?
Maybe a little more explanation. I created a partner determination procedure which looks for the employee responsible via the business partner. The system should then look for the organizational unit in the org model, which belongs to the employee responsible. Therefore I need an organizational model determination rule.
    Thanks a lot!

  • Organization Model : Adding new  relationships

    Hi friends,
<b> Organization Model : Adding new  relationships to the existing list while assigning agents to a position </b>
Using transaction PPOMW, after creating an organization unit we assign a position to it.
When we right click the Position and select assign from the context menu, a dialog box appears where we have to choose relationships.
Can we create and add new relationships to this list. say for e.g. Position: holder Site
    Please help.
    Jon

    Jon,
This is definitely possible. I had a similar reqt where a new relationship Position: Holder Location was required.
Here's how to go about it.
    1. We have to maintain the required entry in the table T77AR
This can be done through Transaction Code: SM30 or OOVK
Enter the table name T77AR and click Maintain button
    2. Select Relationship 008: Holder from the table
Double Click on Relationship Characteristics from the frame on the Left Hand side. Here two entries are maintained.
The details of each of the above columns are given below.
A/B: Contains a code that represents a particular type of a relationship. there are two types, active(A) and passive(B) (reciprocal).
The two types exist since most relationships have two corresponding sides, or perspectives. For example, consider the relationship between a father and son. There is only one relationship, but there are two distinct perspectives to that relationship.
NOTE: Active and passive should not be assumed to mean superior and subordinate. Sometimes one side of a relationship does have a superior standing. However, it is also possible that both sides of a relationship have equal, and corresponding, standing. It is also possible that some relationships will be one-sided. This occurs when, for example, you create relationships with external objects.
Relationship: Contains a code that represents the relationship between two objects.
100% Check: You can specify in this field whether the 100% limit should be checked when percentages are entered for weighted relationships (infotype 1001).
The value entered in this field will determine the type of message that is issued if the 100% limit is exceeded when a relationship is created.
You can choose between the following values:
    'E' = error
    'I' = information
    'W' = warning
' ' = no check is carried out
Check Work Schedule: You can use this field to control how the system is to treat relationships to persons in connection with the infotype "Work Schedule" (1011).
Check obsolete: This field controls the system reaction when relationships are entered or changed in connection with the infotype "Obsolete - 1014".
    3. Now double click on the Allowed Relationships button from the frame on the left hand side.
Here we maintain a new entry ‘Site’.
    Object: S
    Object type text: Position
    A/B: A
    Rel: 008
    Relationship Name: Holder
    RelObjType: F (Site)
    4. This entry now appears in the dialog box
<b> R&D is the name of the game </b>

  • Agent Determination Organizational Data

    Hi Experts,
    Good Day!
I would like to ask some help regarding a workflow the problem is the "user received the workitem however user claimed that he is not supposed to receive"  that is why i would like to know who are the agents dedicated for these tasks. we are able to find the step it is a user decision where the agent is the Rule "0090010" for purchasing group. In transaction PFAC we entered the rule "0090010" the information regarding the rule below:
    Transaction: PFAC
    Rule Display:
          Basic data:
                   Abbr: Purch. group
                   Name: Purchasing Group
    Rule Definition:
          Category: Agent Determination: Organizational Data
          OrgObj type: T024
    We would like to know:
    1. How does it determine the Agent who is supposed to receive mail using the "Category: Agent Determination: Organizational Data"? Where can we find the agent that is configured on the workflow using the rule?
2.Is there a standard rule for agent determination: Organizational Data  for this workflow?
Answer's will be a great help.
    ~Thank You,
    Junne Ray

got it now! sorry, i am a bit dumb today.
o.k. here is what you have to check:
transaction PFOM - relationship between the purchasing group (which will be the one of the PO and therefore and object of table T024) and your organizational structure. check the relationship.
    documentation:
    Data basis for role resolution
For role resolution, the link between the objects of type
T024 (individual purchasing groups) and the organization
objects (position, organizational unit, ...) is evaluated.
    Required settings and Customizing
The linkages between the various purchasing groups and the relevant
organizational objects must first be maintained using
    transaction PFOM.
    Procedure for errors
If the role resolution delivers no result, the work item for which the
role resolution was carried out is not faulty but addressed to all
possible processors (flag "abend in role resolution without result"
    is not set).

  • How to determine Organizational Data based on User Login

    Dear all,
How to determine organizational data based on user login in Activity transaction, currently org determination is happening after entering customer number in the transaction.
We have used 'Responsibility' determination rule for this configuration. Now the requirement is to determine org data based on user login.
In Org model we have assigned user to org data through a business partner. But still org data is not getting determined in the transaction.
Please help me to trace out the problem.. your suggestions will be highly appreciated.
    Best regards
    Raghu ram

You just have to use other organization determination rule. In your case this would be rule 10000194 (ORGMAN_12). This determination rule delivers the responsible organizational unit of the user
User is defined as a business partner in the container attribute 'PARTNER'. If not, the system user (sy-uname) is used.
So you have to do the following:
    - use this determination rule
    - in BP link username with employee
    - assign in PPOMA_CRM employee or user to organizational unit
    This should solve your problem.

  • Missing app information for SplashID

I had to replace my iphone and was told I should not restore from backup because of connectivity issues I was having.  I synced the phone prior to going to the Apple Store and have a restore file from that time as well.  I installed the phone as a new one and reinstalled my apps but I lost all of my information for SplashID!  (I lost about 100 passwords, web logins, etc.)  Any thoughts for how I can restore this info???  Sadly I didn't have the desktop version prior to this happening so I can't restore it from there.

    Hello,
Well I upgraded to version 2.0.1 in July but the issue remained. I am picking this back up because our users are still frustrated. The "upgrade" was actually a new server, so nothing was brought over from the old system. I simply stood up the new system, setup the users on it and then deleted the account on each device and setup a new connection.
As I mentioned before this happens on all Android devices regardless of make, model or OS version. I have been able to determine no rhyme or reason as to which messages it will happen to.
Any help would be greatly appreciated! Here is part of a screenshot on one of the devices. Notice the message in the middle has no sender.
    Best Regards,

    SD Flow
You create a sales document to enter information about different sales transactions. R/3 provides a number
of predefined sales document types. However , these can be customized to suit your company's needs when
    R/3 is installed.
Some examples of sales documents include:
    • sales queries
    • sales orders
    • outline agreements
    • complaints
You use sales queries to enter information about potential sales into R/3.Types of sales query documents
    include:
    • inquiries
    • quotations
    • free-of-charge deliveries
An inquiry is used to record any general queries a customer may have about goods or services they
are thinking of buying from your company. An inquiry is one of the first possible documents you can
create in the customer order management cycle. An example of the type of information contained in an
inquiry is whether your company stocks a certain product line. Along with entering general customer
queries, you can use inquiries to record the goods or services that a customer is interested in. And you
can enter descriptions of goods or services that your company should research in order to answer customer
queries. You can carry out automatic pricing for any goods or services you enter in an inquiry. This will
enter the price of goods or services into the inquiry for you. You can also check whether any goods you
entered in the inquiry are available in your company's warehouse. The order probability function enables
you to determine the likelihood that a customer will buy from you. To increase the probability of a sale,
you can offer the customer alternative goods and services.
Quotations are sales query documents that you create when a customer requests specific information
about a product. For example, you can use a quotation if a customer makes a query regarding how much
goods or services cost or you can use a query if a customer asks when goods will be available for shipping.
You can create quotations from scratch or you can create them by copying inquiries. If a customer is
interested in the products or services after they have made an inquiry, you can provide a quotation based
on the original inquiry. R/3 allows you to copy the information directly from an inquiry to a quotation.
Let's say an inquiry was created when a customer inquired whether your company, could manufacture
twenty motorcycles. Assume a quotation was created by copying this inquiry when the customer called
back to inquire how much twenty motorcycles would cost. You can use quotations to enter information and
descriptions for goods and services that are to be researched. You can also use them to carry out automatic
pricing and to check goods availability. You can use quotations to calculate the probability that a customer
will buy the goods or services entered on a quotation. This function is called order probability. You can
also use quotations to enter details about alternative goods or services. These are goods or services that a
customer did not inquire about but that you think they will consider purchasing. Once you have created a
quotation for a query in R/3, you send the quotation to the customer who made the query. The quotation
represents a binding offer made to the customer that includes quantity and cost details.
You create a free of charge delivery when you send free samples of any goods that your company
produces to customers. These contain information about the goods that are delivered but they don't
include the corresponding pricing information for them.
Let's look at the sales orders that exist in R/3.You create a sales order when a customer has ordered
goods or services from your company. They are a part of the customer order management cycle.
You can carry out automatic pricing in sales orders to enter the price of goods or services.
R/3 will also run a credit check on the customer to see if they will be exceeding their credit limit.
You can also check whether ordered goods will be available in your company's warehouse for delivery.
Examples of types of sales order include
    • standard orders
    • consignment orders
    • cash orders
    • rush orders
You create standard orders for goods and services that will be delivered or rendered according to
the standard R/3 sales cycle. This means that goods are ordered, picked from the warehouse, and
then shipped before customers are billed for them. Likewise, services are rendered before customers
    are billed for them.
Your company may store its goods in its customers' warehouses. You create a
consignment order when a customer is ready to retrieve stock from the warehouse.
SAP can propose the most suitable stock to retrieve, including third-party stock.
A consigment order is like a standard sales order for goods but it doesn't have any delivery
    information.
You create cash orders and rush orders for the sale of goods only.
You create a cash order when a customer picks up and pays for a delivery as soon
as it is ordered. And you create a rush order when the customer picks up the goods on the
same day as the order is placed. In this case, the invoice is created later.
You can arrange to deliver goods or render services in installments. To do this, you create an
outline agreement. Examples of some types of outline agreement include :
    • quantity and value contracts
    • master contracts
    • scheduling agreements
    • service contracts
You create a quantity contract if a customer has agreed to order a certain quantity
of goods from your company during a specified period.
And you create a value contract if a customer has agreed to order goods of a certain
cumulative value from your company during a specified period.
Quantity and value contracts do not include delivery dates, so releases are made
    using a sales order.
You can unite multiple contracts in a single master contract.
Let's say you create a quantity contract because a customer has agreed to order
500 engines in the first six months of the current year. If the customer orders 100 of these
engines in January, you create a sales order called a release order. You refer to a quantity
contract in a release order. So you refer to the quantity contract created for the 500 engines in
each release order created for these engines. R/3 will then update the quantity contract
automatically so it contains the correct number of remaining engines to be ordered.
Scheduling agreements specify the installments in which goods will be delivered
to a customer. They include the quantity of a product that will be delivered in each
installment. And they include the delivery date of each installment. You process a delivery
for each installment contained in the scheduling agreement in the same way that you process
a delivery for a regular sales order. No sales documents, such as release orders, are created before
the products included on a scheduling agreement are processed for delivery.
You create a service contract if a customer requests a service over a particular
period of time. For example, you could create a service contract if a customer ordered five
one-hour maintenance checks from your company's motorcycle repair department.
You create complaint sales documents if there has been a fault with any goods that
have been delivered, or with any services rendered, by your company.
For example, you create complaint sales documents if customers have been billed
incorrectly for an item or service, or if goods are faulty.
Different types of complaint sales document include
    • returns
    • credit memo requests
    • debit memo requests
You create a returns document if a customer returns goods they have purchased from
you because they are not satisfied with them. You can create returns from scratch or you can
create them by copying the sales order that was originally created for the returned delivery.
A returns document records that you expect stock to be returned to your warehouse.
You can create one or more credit memo requests if a customer has been overcharged
for a quantity of goods or services. You can also create a credit memo request if goods were
damaged during transit and you want to credit the customer for the goods damaged.
When you create a credit memo request, your Accounting department reviews it to
confirm that it can be justified. If the credit memo request is approved, the Accounting department
creates a credit memo based on the request. You can create credit memo requests by copying other
sales documents such as the sales order where the overcharge occurred.
You create debit memo requests when customers have been undercharged for products
or services.Your company’s Accounting department can then create an invoice to bill the
    undercharged customer.

    MM Process flow:
    Process Flow
The typical procurement cycle for a service or material consists of the following phases:
    1. Determination of Requirements
Materials requirements are identified either in the user departments or via materials planning and control. (This can cover both MRP proper and the demand-based approach to inventory control. The regular checking of stock levels of materials defined by master records, use of the order-point method, and forecasting on the basis of past usage are important aspects of the latter.) You can enter purchase requisitions yourself, or they can be generated automatically by the materials planning and control system.
    2. Source Determination
The Purchasing component helps you identify potential sources of supply based on past orders and existing longer-term purchase agreements. This speeds the process of creating requests for quotation (RFQs), which can be sent to vendors electronically via SAP EDI, if desired.
    3. Vendor Selection and Comparison of Quotations
The system is capable of simulating pricing scenarios, allowing you to compare a number of different quotations. Rejection letters can be sent automatically.
    4. Purchase Order Processing
The Purchasing system adopts information from the requisition and the quotation to help you create a purchase order. As with purchase requisitions, you can generate Pos yourself or have the system generate them automatically. Vendor scheduling agreements and contracts (in the SAP System, types of longer-term purchase agreement) are also supported.
    5. Purchase Order Follow-Up
The system checks the reminder periods you have specified and - if necessary - automatically prints reminders or expediters at the predefined intervals. It also provides you with an up-to-date status of all purchase requisitions, quotations, and purchase orders.
    6. Goods Receiving and Inventory Management
Goods Receiving personnel can confirm the receipt of goods simply by entering the Po number. By specifying permissible tolerances, buyers can limit over- and under deliveries of ordered goods.
    7. Invoice Verification
The system supports the checking and matching of invoices. The accounts payable clerk is notified of quantity and price variances because the system has access to PO and goods receipt data. This speeds the process of auditing and clearing invoices for payment.
Pur info record is nothing but a master data like thing which will be maintained for different materials to determine the prices etc.It Specifies the number that uniquely identifies a record.
For Example: an info record is based on Plant Vendor and Material
Based on these three the Material Prices will be calculated
for different combinations different values are taken into consideration.
During pricing it brings these values automatically based on this info record.
Use ME11 Tcode to create this record.

  • Best praxis for determining a  cost center for an HR org unit in PPM ?

    Hello all.
We have defined the HR Org structure directly in PPM backend. Later the intention is that an interface should transfer this data from HR.
The HR orgstructure defined works fine for the staffing process (with "resource manager via responsible organization").
We have however run into some problems with the MLC & costing part.  The intention is to use manual MLC linking tasks/phases to PS WBS-elements (task based controlling).
If we leave the org unit field blank in the cProject project project definition  we run into the message "No account assignment exists for the project defintion - no costing" and the systems rolls back from the assignment made.
If we however assign an orgunit in the project defintion we instead get the message "No cost center could be determined for org unit 123...".
<u>We therefore need to be able to determine a cost center for the Org Unit assigned to be able to proceed. How is this then best done?</u>
There is a master cost center assigned to the orgunit in HR but not in PPM backend where this option does not seem to be available.
With task based controlling the cost center does not really matter so it could possibly be hardcoded via a BADI (?) but is this really the way this should be done?
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks / Anders

Hi and thanks for the reply.
We will test with an ALE replicated structure so that the object ID becomes the same in the two systems as soon as possible.
Pending that we will try the BADI option. Here I am however not sure what it is we really expect the BADI to do.  Which field should be populated with the cost center (the fields available are mainly project characteristics)?
I also eventually found some information regarding this in the PPM 4.0 help.  I enclose info regarding this below.
    a) http://help.sap.com/saphelp_ppm400/helpdata/en/index.htm
    b) choose Collaboration projects>Accounting Integration>General Information about Accounting integration>Derivation of Organizational data.
As I read this the system derives this as follows in case of task-based or role-based costing with no resource assignment:
    1) Look for the two BADIs mentioned to derive the cost center
    2) If no result there it looks for an org unit in the cProject header (where I assume having the Org Unit with the same Object ID in backend and ERP enables this option)
    3) If no result there the system looks for a "requesting cost center" in the account assignment object (WBS element or internal order)

  • Attributes value in Organizational Model

    HI,
Iu2019ve created a new attribute for a org unit in scenario service. Itu2019s attribute REGIOGROUP based on values of this field of table ADRC.
Now, I need to maintain attribute values for this attribute for each OU to get BP determination.
The problem is that I need to have many different values in each OU for this attribute; for a several value entries, I need to automatically determine a OU for each BP.
Is there any way to set this values from a pre-created  table or do I need to set this manually (all values in tx PPOSA_CRM for eah OU) ?
    EX: OU 1 values 100101, 100102, 100103u2026 100999
          OU 2 values 010110, 010111, 010112, u2026010199

  • Organizational Model - WebUI business role assignment

We have created the organizational model in our system where we have the levels that are tied to a specific business role.   We have been manually assigning all of our users to these organizational model levels in order to have the business role assignment.   I am curious if there is a program or easier way to do this than to have to create the assignment to the employee record manually in the org model.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Darcie

    Hi Robert,
maintaining the user profile directly may be easier with only a few employees but for large companies this method will end up being more maintenance intensive.
for Org you only have to maintain it on the Org unit or position and all employees underneath will inherit the role; whether it's 2 individuals or 2000. and if the person is moved into a different position laterally or through promotion there would be no maintenance required as the information would replicate from HR (if you use/have the system) and the person would inherit the new position and role automatically.
for User parameter if you only have 2 individuals it is easier but 2000 is too much to maintain. there is some automation but would require you to create them and run them yourself.
pfcg at most companies do not fall under general master data maintenance and would require involvement from the security group and they often do not want to generate empty or unnecessary security/authorization profiles - the maintenance workload is shifted to them also in this case.
    regards.

  • Determining Organizational Data

    Hi,
I want to determine the org responsible for a particular complaint on the basis of the Country and the Product.
My org structure is like this.
    AAA
       ---BBB
       ---CCC
BBB is responsible if the Country is US and the Product is PRODUCT1. CCC is responsible id the country is US and the Product is PRODUCT2.
But after doing all the desired configurations it appears that org determination is not happening at the Item level (Product is not considered)
Does anyone have an idea how to achieve this.
I am using the Determination Rule of the Responsibility type.
    Thanks,
    Vipul.

    Hi Namrata,
Organizational data is automatically determined in a transaction by deriving the organizational rule associated with the Organizational profile that is assigned to the transaction type. We can either have Org rule with responsibilities or with org model. The requirement depends on the scenario chosen
