- development kit applet window

hey
i downloaded j2sdk1.4.0_03 and cant seem to find a use able apllet window tester.
i have a book that talks of a develment kit, do i need this? where do i find it?
thanks

You have the development kit (sdk) already.
You'll propably need the appletviewer, which is in the "bin" subfolder of the location where you've installed the j2sdk (C:\j2sdk1.4.0\bin perhaps).
You can use it like this:
appletviewer test.html
where you replace test.html with the html page containing your applet.

    Known issues
Be aware of these known issues (as of 3/23) in this release:
    Windows SDK
After you install the Windows SDK, Windows 10 apps might not build successfully with
Visual Studio 2015 Community Technology Preview (CTP) 6 due to a of a metadata problem. Although you should not install the Windows SDK if you are doing app development, you can use the following workaround to build an app
    successfully:
    Exit Visual Studio.
Open a command prompt as administrator.
    Run the \Program Files (x86)\Windows Kits\10\bin\x86\GenerateUnionWinMD.cmd script.
    Windows ADK
When installing to Windows 7 PCs, run ADKSetup.exe in administrator mode.
    WDK
Currently, WDM templates do not build
Driver deployment to target PCs won’t work if the
Display name used in the Device Configuration dialog is different than the
Network host name. In this release, verify that these names are the same.
Target creation of mobile devices causes Visual Studio to become non-responsive.

  • The Best Development Kit to make Mac programs

    Hello
I am not new to Windows programming and i've made hounders of great applications but i've bought Mac a few days ago and already have learned the system itself and i am now trying to figure out how to make applications for Mac OS.. I have been programming in Delphi and Visual Basic - very great and powerful WYSIWYG development kit for windows...
What programming languages can i make my apps with in Mac OS? And which one is more like Delphi or Visual Basic because i'm used to them (not the language but wysiwyg editor when you can simply drop the button on the form or text edit field It's very handy)...
    Thanks,
    Martin

    Hi Martin,
Welcome to the Mac! Most Mac applications are written in Objective-C using the Xcode IDE and Interface Builder tool (also drag-and-drop wysiwyg-type tool). These tools are made by Apple and come on your Mac OS installation DVD or can be downloaded from the developer.apple.com website. I think you will find that developing in Objective-C is a little bit different than anything else you've encountered, but I'm sure you'll pick it up and eventually come to appreciate what a fantastic language/platform it is for software development. Another of the many reasons why Apple is a great company that (unlike the other reasons) only us developers know about.
    Good luck,

  • Can I use Java Card Development Kit 2.2.1 on Windows XP?

Can I use Java Card Development Kit 2.2.1 on Windows XP?
If no, which kit supports XP?

It is not as strait forward as per say.
I would like to share some tips that I have learnt duirng my recent experience with Java Card Development Kit 2.1.2 ( It presumed that JAVA SDK and JCDK is properly installed:
    Additonal installation
    - you need to download Java Communicatons API version 2.o for Windows at http://java.sun.com/products/javacomm/downloads/index.html
    - unzip the downloaded file javacom20-win20.zip
    - copy comm.jar and javax.com.properties to %JAVA_HOME%\lib
    - copy win32com.dll to %JAVA_HOME%\bin
    Configuration of Environment
    - Activate System under Control Panel
    - Click Environment Variable button under Advance Tab.
    - Check that JAVA_HOME and JC21_HOME are there under User Variables for user123
    - Create a new enviroment by clicking New button under User Variables and Enter "CLASSPATH" for Variable Name and ".;c:\j2sdk1.4.1_04\lib\comm.jar for Variable Value ( the ".;" is important for the entry and varies according to your JAVA_HOME)
    Modifying %JC21_HOME%\samples\build_samples.bat
    - Next you need to modify the compiler option in build_samples.bat
    - Use editor to look for the portion "Compile Sample" and add "- target 1.1" to every statements here. A sample is listed below:
    %JAVA_HOME%\bin\javac -target 1.1 %JCFLAGS% src\com\sun\javacard\samples\HelloWorld\*.java
You may proceed to test the demo codes as instrucrted in the User Guide.
I hope the above will help those who are keen to have a head start in Java Card Developemnet.

  • Visual Studio 2013 Ultimate with Update 4 Installation Hangs on "Windows Software Development Kit" step

    Hi,
I am attempting to install Visual Studio 2013 Ultimate with Update 4 on a Windows 2008 Server R2 machine that also has Visual Studio 2012 Ultimate already installed.
Unfortunately, the installation always hangs on the  "Windows Software Development Kit" step. I have let it run overnight and the installation process never gets past this step. I always have to just kill the process, and uninstall.
I have validated the checksum of the ISO, run the .exe as administrator, and also tried to install the software to both the C and D drive.
I have also tried to run the installation with all of the optional components checked as well as with none of the optional components checked.
In addition, I have uninstalled visual studio 2013 using the /uninstall /force command
I have examined the log files produced at C:\Users\MYNAME\AppData\Local\Temp and I dont see anything obviously wrong.

Does anyone have any ideas of why this is happening? Are there any specific log files I could provide to help pinpoint the problem?
    Thanks
    Thomas

    Hello Thomas,
"I have validated the checksum of the ISO" Do you mean you have used this page
    http://www.visualstudio.com/en-us/downloads/visual-studio-2013-iso-sha1-vs.aspx# to verify your ISO?
Please send your full logs to me by use  http://aka.ms/vscollect . After using it, you will find vslogs.cab from %temp% folder. Please upload the file to
    https://skydrive.live.com/
    and share the link here.
Actually you can refer to the following page to troubleshoot Windows SDK issue:
    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ee248512(v=vs.100).aspx
The recommend way is to manually install Windows SDK itself and check the logs in detail.
    Best regards,

  • HELP! Where do I get the software development kit 1.3 for windows 98?

HELP! Where do I get the software development kit 1.3 for windows 98? I got this java book and it tells me "http://java.sun.com". I guess it expects me to find it myself. I aint no good at finding stuff on the internet. Can someone give me like the exact address to download it or something? (Also, it wants me to get the java software development kit installation instructions and documentation... I have no idea what all that stuff is, or where to find it. I'm completely lost... Can someone tell me where to get that stuff?)

Actually, the latest version is now jsdk 1.4.1
From java.sun.com, you can click on "Downloads" at the left
Then, you click on "java 2 platform, standard edition"
Then, you can click on "J2SE 1.4.1"
This leads to a page with the URL http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.4.1/download.html (you could use this URL wight now, in fact)
That page has a table.. look for the row entitled "Windows (all languages, including English)", and in the column headed "SDK", you'll see a link "DOWNLOAD". Click on it (make sure you click on the right one!)
You will then have to read the terms and conditions, and at the bottom, click the button labeled "ACCEPT"
This will show a page with a link "Download j2sdk-1_4_1-windows-i586.exe"
You click on that link, and the download will start. The file you are downloading is the installer for the J2sdk version 1.4.1
    Hope that helps!!
Once you have downloaded it, you'll need to set it up. That's not very difficult, but if you need advice on that, I'll be watching this thread.
    Yours, Mike H...

  • Unable to install Java 2 Platform Standard Edition Development Kit 1.4.2_11

I am unable to install Java 2 Platform Standard Edition Development Kit 1.4.2_11 and NetBeans IDE 5.0 on Windows 98. I get the following message:
Java 2 Platform Standard Edition Development Kit 1.4.2_11 cannot be installed on your computer because current account does not have sufficient privileges.
I am trying to install at home, no network, and as far as I can tell, there is no way to give yourself "administrative privileges". Is Windows 98 not supported anymore?

98SE is supported. See configuration requirements for the various versions.
Try downloading Java and installing it, then go to the NetBeans site and downloading it and installing separately.

  • Se development kit (jdk 6) problem creating class file with HelloWorldApp

I downloaded the java SE Development kit (JDK 6) with Java FX SDK and used the download manager from Java web site, the program downloaded the

I then created a Java source file which was HelloWorldApp.java. and typed in the Hello World Code as requested I saved it to
    C\Documents and Settings\Compaq_owner\Java.
Then I try to compile my source file into a .class file and get stuck as I am told to open a command window which I do through, start\allprograms\accessories\command promt.
My command window says C:\Documents and Setting\Compaq_Owner>
I am told to compile my source file and I must change my directory in the command window to the directory where my file is located.
I type after the existing promt, cd C:\java and also tried, cd C:\Documents and Settings\Compaq_Owner\Java\HelloWorldApp. And was told both times the system cannot find the path specified
I typed dir after the promt and can see the java directory there in the list, but have I placed my HelloWorldApp File in the wrong place what is wrong please help I cannot get off the ground
    Kind regards pete

I type after the existing promt, cd C:\java and also tried, cd C:\Documents and Settings\Compaq_Owner\Java\HelloWorldApp. And was told both times the system cannot find the path specifiedcd stands for Change Directory. You want to change to the directory where your .java file is. You can not use a path that ends in a file because a file is not a directory.
You may need to put C\Documents and Settings\Compaq_owner\Java inside double quotes, "C\Documents and Settings\Compaq_owner\Java" I think newer versions of Windows will not require the double quotes.

  • JFrames withous status bar with "Java Applet Window" ?

    Hello.
I call a JFrame from JApplet. All my JFrames with a status bar where string "Java Applet Window" is showing. How can I creat JFrames without that status bar?
    Thank you in advance.

This shows as a security measure because your applet isn't "signed". Your applet must be signed in order for this to not show.
Refer to the following for a how-to:
    http://java.sun.com/developer/qow/archive/167/index.jsp

  • Changing Applet Window Size

I developed a few forms on 6i and was going to go ahead and migrate to 9i. However, my forms no longer fit in the applet window screen; the user would have to scroll over to see half of it now. The applet window now (not my own window but the window that has "Window" on the left side and "ORACLE" on the right) is only about 2/3 the length of the screen. I can see no way to change it right off...can it be done? if not, jeez, that's a pretty small window...also, I can only assume that the big "ORACLE" advertisement can't be taken off; is that right?
BTW, I am running Windows 2000.
    Thanks,
    Brian

To resize the applet just change the width and height parameters in the HTML that invokes your form.
You can also eliminate the Oracle Logo, its one of the parameters to the applet.

  • How to get rid of "Warning: Applet Window" in third party java applet code

Hello I am having a hard time figuring out how to disable this darn Warning applet window that pops up and says "unable to detect an audio device" when it loads onto a comp that has no sound card! It is an audio streaming applet which was discarded by the developer and he does not provide any support for it....
I know zero about java and I am figuring this is something simple that any typical programmer familiar with java could figure out in five minutes.....
the applet is called audio centric and is located here:

Sorry, there is not source code deployed and I'll not encourage you to decompile it, instead contact developer. They will appreciate very much your claim.

  • Uninstalling Java (TM) Platform, Micro Edition Software Development Kit 3.0

    Hi,
I have installed Java (TM) Platform, Micro Edition Software Development Kit 3.0 EA, and now I want to remove it, however, when running the uninstaller I get a message about the "Java ME SDK is running. Please close Java ME SDK window and try again."
There is no other Java ME SDK running, I have even tried this in Safe Mode, but with the same error message! My guess the problem is that the installer think itself is the Java ME SDK.
Do anyone know how to solve this and uninstall the ME SDK?
I'm running Vista business, 64-bit if that helps.
    BR Psy

It's strange that there is not any related processes. Have you tried to remove sdk related folders from your home?
Looks like it's platform dependency issue. Actually 64-bit is not declared as supported by SDK.
    http://java.sun.com/javame/downloads/sdk30ea.jsp#install:
    Required Software
    * Microsoft Windows XP or Vista 32-bit with recent service packs
    * Java SE Development Kit - JDK 1.6 or higher
    * Apple QuickTime player (required to play AMR media on Windows)
I can suggest you to remove it manually from installation dir, <your_user_home>\javame-sdk, <your_user_home>\.javame-sdk and clean up registry.
