DFF in Attachement Document Category (There is no DFF column found in form)

Hi All
I want to enabel DFF for the form Attachment -> Document Categories in Application Developer.
Table (FND_DOCUMENT_CATEGORIES) has attribute columns, but the DFF [] column is not found in the form.
Is it possible to enable DFF for this form??

Removing the height from the css made the error go away.
I did use a spry menu bar for the links. I then added in pictures for the buttons that i made in PS.
The reason i am using the free site that i am, is that this is my first real web site. It doesnt have to be ready for months and i wanted to make sure i could do the project before it goes on a pay site.

In these pictures, why is the linkable lower banner section that says "Desktop" higher then the rest of the banner?
Is that a problem that occured in the "slicing" in photoshop?
In DW i set the border to ) trying to fix the problem, but it didn't make a difference, that is why i assume d that it may be an error listed in http://validator.w3.org/ , but now i see that it isnt.

Error while attaching document to report on Portal - Invalid selection valu

Hello All,
We are running our reports on Portal and as per the business requirement the users have to create comments or attach documents to certain amounts in certain columns and once they create the comment a document icon shows up near that amount (for example there are 3 columns Budget, actual, balance then the user have to create comment for some amounts which needs explanation) they do that from context menu Documents -> Create new Comment.
Now we want those documents to be saved on Infoprovider level and not on master data for any particular object. We have activated the flag "Characteristic is document property" on related infoobjects. We have the flag to display document icon on Infoprovider active in the web template. Now when I run the report I am able to create new comments on first two columns and when the report refreshes it shows me icon near that amount but it gives me errors on third column after the report refreshes itself. Now when I go in portal KM repository where documents are stored I do see the document that I created for the third column as well so looks like the document is getting created and being stored but the issue is when it tries to display the icon on that third column.

Have you solved this problem? I have the same problem after a SPS implementation (SPS 17). The message appears when we select a single value in a DP (hierarchical filter item) that filters another one, but when I select a node it doesn't.
Before the patch implementation the apliccation worked ok.
Any idea?

Comment or attach document for specific cell of data

Dear all,
Is it possible to create comment or attached document for specific cell of data in Webi report?
For example, the sales of certain product & yearmonth is lower than previous month. I want write some comment for that cell of data . Which function should I use? I try the "Discussion" function. But, it's for the whole report not for certain range of data and I can't attached document in there. Please advise.

Hi Jeff,
This one is the most popular request from most of our customers. But what we always tell the client is that the reports that are created in webintelligence are analytical in nature and it is not cell based. For every refresh of the report, you may get different results based on the parameters and your annotation will not hold good.
We suggest two methods to solve this issue. 1) Discussions - Standard text with the parameters used for refreshing and the observation. This would be a good option if the report is shared with many people.
2) Add a cell to the report, place it at the right place adjacent to the block which you want to observe. Make your comments in different colors. This would be good for reports which need to be presented to some audience.
The below link shows a prototype called Comment It for Crystal Reports. But I don't think this is available for webintelligence.

With reference to Manual Bassani's SDN Contribution of code examples on how to attach documents using Generic Object Services - we have found that since implementing ECC 6 the following code no longer works (at the end of page 9):

How to attach documents in PR/PO, is there any standard settings

Hi Experts,
How do we attach a document into a PR/PO. The requirement is to attach supporting documents into a PR/PO, so that when it goes for approval, the release approver can view the supporting document in the PO/PR.
We have a Attach Icon in the PO but i am unable to attach any document by clicking it, is there any settings to be maintained to attach documents in PO/PR or do we need to implement any new submodules like DMS

I tried using the "Services for Object" option and i was able to upload a document. But when i try to view the document in PO display ME23N, by clicking the Icon as you mentioned the attached document is not displayed.
Only when i go in Change mode ME22N and select "Service for Object" i get the documents displayed. What is the way to get the document displayed ?

Document Category Error while creating PO

When I am creating PO with reference to contract system gives error that "Document type MK is not assigned to document category "F" I am not aware of assignment of document category to document type. Please can anyone tell me where to assign the same.

Check if you have renamed any of the item categories in Define External Representation of Item Categories..
I doubt there is a standard Item category such as "F"
You need to check the definition for Document Type under Contract and ensure that "F" is also one of the allowed item categories under document type MK.

I am extracting the standard datasource for Sales Order Header 2Lis_11_VAHDR to BW.I am getting error while loading data.I checked it in PSA there are around 30 records which were showing the error with the message
"Record 985 :Contents M from field VGTYP_AK(mapped to 0DOC_CATEGR) cannot be converted in type DEC ->longtext RSAR 198" and
"Error in an arithmetic operation in record 985 RSAR117".
I am not getting this error while loading the Order Item Data.
'M' is the Document Category of Reference Doc. in Order Header.For sales document type "RE".
In R/3 the reference was taken on Inv.No instead of Order number and also there is a User Exit written on MV45AFZZ program to check the referred quantities and also zero quantiity lines in case of back split.
As there is no customization done in BW and the only customization was in terms of an User Exit in R/3 please let me know what is the reason of this error.

Maybe you can check the info object definition of 0DOC_CATEGR in your system. Based on the error message you mentioned below, it looks like 'data type' of the object concerned is NUMC? In our system it is CHAR (standard BC)...

MIRO - Vendor not changed after change Reference Document Category option

Hi,
When are doing MIRO, under PO referance tab --> Reference Document Category --> select Purchase order / Schedulling Agreement option and enter PO number there, then it's line item shows. Other thing is that Vendor of that PO (XYZ) should show in the screen.
My problem is that when we are changing the Purchase order / Schedulling Agreement option to Delivery Note, the vendor remains same...means same as PO Vendor (XYZ).
Note: - Same problem in the changing the Delivery Note option to Purchase order / Schedulling Agreement.
please help...

I want to clear you that this is happening is some cases not in all.. Most of the cases, it automatically changed the Vendor data...

Attach Documents to Custom Program Using Generic Object Services

         I created Object type ZGOS and used in the custom program, when i try to attach documents it allows and then shows in attachment list.
        But When I use that program next time that document attached is not available.
Is there any separate save Class or FM available for saving the document to the specified custom program.
I am using following code in the program,

Since your Mac probably came with 10.4, there is no longer a way to get 10.5 Leopard install media. IF it has the requirements, you may be able to upgrade to 10.6 Snow Leopard by buying the boxed install media at the Apple Store for $30.

Report to link invoices with attached documents

I am trying to spool a report from the oracle back end, for some senior staff at my organisation. The report would contain approved invoices along with their electronically attached documents. I have a similar query that works( see below) the problem is this query only accurately ties invoice ID's(PK1_Value) for invoices that were created using "AP_INVOICES" enitity_name, but majority of our users dont have the payables responsibility and hence can only create using the "AP_INVOICES_INTERFACE" enitity_name, and I cant tie the PK1_VALUE in the fnd_attached_documents table to the invoice ID, Please I need urgent help to locate (a) what PK1_VALUE is being used by AP_INVOICES_INTERFACE (b) How I can reference INVOICE_ID with that value.

1. You cann't save attachment while creating a PO ...
2. Choose View/Change PO through ME22N
3. Just above the Document Overview there is a button for services for objects.
4. From drop down select create
5. Select create attachment.
6. Browse for the document.
7. Save.

Cannot attach documents at order operation level in PM order.

We have recently upgraded to EHP6 and I have activated the EAM business functions including LOG_EAM_CI_6. In my PM work order, on the Additional Data tab, I can see the "Document Assignment" section at the bottom. Here I attach an existing document and choose Assign to Order. Then I attach another existing document and choose Assign to Operation (0010). After saving the order if I go back into it (IW32/IW33). the document assigned to order header is still there but the document attached to the operation disappears.
I have defined the document type that I am assigning at header level and operation level in Customizing for Cross-Application Components under Document Management --> Control Data --> Define Document Types. I have also specified in Customizing that the assignment to objects PMAUFK (order) and/or PMAFVC (operation) is allowed for the document type of those documents.
Can someone please advise what's wrong here ? I have to attach/assign docs to operations.

Can you please make sure two things:
1) IMG --> DMS --> Control Data --> Define Document Types --> Select Doc Type ---> Define Object Links. It must be something similar to this one. Without entering CREATE DOCUMENT settings, you may not be allowed to attach a document. That might be causing the issue. If you do not want from within IW31, someone is creating documents then make sure this setting has value =2.
One more possible reason for this is 1:n field in this same setting. If 1:n is not selected, please read the help for that field and make sure the uniqueness of your document attachment to objects.
2) IMG --> DMS --> Control Data --> Maintain Screen for Object Link
For this one make sure that you have a screen entry for PMAUFK and PMAFVC.
Now if attachment does not work, try creating a document and let us know what is the error message.
And do you know that there is another way of attaching documents to the operation which is attaching them as PRT. Just select the operation, click on PRT button and select document and attach it.
