I'm using a 16GB iPhone 4S, with the latest version of iOS 8.1.1. Whenever I go to the "Cellular" settings on the main settings page and turn OFF cellular data usage for native apps like mail, app store, contacts, photos etc , the moment I back out and come back in, all the native apps I turned cellular off for are back on again. Kindly help me
Exact same question as ankit1986, specifically with the photos while on cellular-only, and as simple as it sounds, I tried the hard reboot Ingo2711 suggested. Still experiencing the same error with the native apps reverting to on. It's killing our shared data-plan (2GB).

How can I disable the "cellular is turned off" popup when I'm using Wifi?
Cellular Data is turned on on my iPhone 6 Plus, but cellular data is turned off on most of the apps. This is because I have limited cellular data available in my AT&T plan. When I'm using my iPhone 6 Plus in a WiFi network at home, or elsewhere, I get an annoying popup telling me that cellular data is turned off for the app I'm using. I have to clear the popup notification over and over and over. As I am on WiFi, this shouldn't be happening. I've regularly checked a post about this problem by someone else, but there has been no response to their post. I've also talked with sales people at a couple of Apple stores and at AT&T. One person suggested I toggle cellular data (master switch) off and back on. That seemed to work while in the Apple store, but the popup problem returned. If I leave several of the apps cellular data turned on, I feel I will quickly use up my limited data and be charged for the extra data by AT&T. I believe many of my apps frequently "phone home" even when not in use, but when cellular data to them is left on.I would like to disable the "cellular data is turned off" reminder so I won't have to "OK" out of it, or go to settings for no reason.
Thanks in advance for any help. My iPhone 6 Plus is always kept up to date with latest operating system and new versions of apps are always downloaded.I wonder if you can change any settings in the individual apps, to only function on wi-fi? Just curious, probably not , but who knows? I only seem to get that pop-up when i'm downloading podcasts if i am suddenly out of range of my wi-fi.
I am one of the super lucky ones that still has "unlimited data" on my iphone with ATT. I'm sure they'll take it away at some point, somehow, but for now, I'm stuck with ATT to keep the data plan! -
Yesterday I bought a new galaxy s5 as a replacement for so iphone 4. I did not turn off iMessage before I activated the new phone and sent in the old one. Now I can't receive any text messages from people with iphones. This is more than half of my contacts. I also can't even contact apple because to do so I have to have the serial number of my old phone. What am I supposed to do?

As stated above,kindly help...
Deleting on one device does not affect another device.
You can delete the App's on the iPhone and nothing will happen to the ones on the iPad.
1. You don't need to.
2. Settings->Cellular->"Use Cellular Data For" will show the data usage for each App since the last statistics reset
3. Settings->General->Background App Refresh Will show which Apps are allowed to get data in the background
4. It restricts it to Wifi. If the App requires internet access and Data is turned off, it will have to wait until the device is connected to a wifi network.
5. Nope, You just use up battery since the BT radio will continuously look for nearby BT devices.
6. The Personal Hotspot uses your cellular internet connection from your phone or other cellular device; whether you consider that secure or not I cannot say. It also depends on what you are doing while connected to the Hotel's wifi. I would not do online banking while on vacation though. -
I reecntly spold my mac book air,to a friend, when he tries to use itunes match it says the computer is registersed to another user and cannot be done for another 40+ days. How do i get that to turn off. I have unregistered it under my account.
thanks sYou either have an incredibly complex computer setup or I think you are confusing terminology here. If you have iTunes set to share your library with others in your iTunes preferences then other computers in the area will see it as an item when they are running their iTunes and have it set to check for shared libraries. Your husband is probably seeing this when running iTunes on his computer. You can disable this sharing on your computer and/or he can set his not to pick up shared libraries.
By the way, an iTunes account is something you log into when you want to buy something from Apple. On your computer it is simply your iTunes collection or your iTunes application. So you need to turn off sharing in your iTunes application preferences.
Your husband is seeing "his" iTunes collection when running iTunes, but it is possible he doesn't have anything in it if it is a brand new computer. -
I did not back up my iPad lately. SO this message appears about not being backed up. I have done what it says to do several times and it does nothing.
I plugged it into the wall outlet...no go, so I plugged in into the computer (Mac) and no go. What can I do. I can't even shut it down because it will not go past the message, no matter how many times I click OK.Try this.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up. -

A dialog box has appeared on the screen of my iPad2 and has frozen the device so that I can't close it down or make changes to the settings. The titel is "iCloud Backup" and it reads: This iPad hasn't been backed up in 4 weeks. Backups happen when this iPad is plugged in, locked, and connected to WiFi.
I'm not sure why it hasn't backed up but I can't do anything to clear the dialog box, turn off the device or get to any settings or apps on the device.
Any suggestions? Please help -- I'm caring for my mother in hospice and don't have time to deal with this at the Apple Store!Welcome to Apple Support Communities
Hold Sleep and Home buttons for 10 seconds until the device restarts, so you will be able to use the iPad again.
It will try to make a backup every time your iPad is plugged to the charger and connected to a network. To prevent that this message appears soon, open Settings > iCloud > Storage & Backup, and choose Backup Now -

Even after doing that, I am not able to do anything with the iPad - neither able to reboot nor able to get to the homescreen. The dialogue box doesn't go at all even after pressing OK a hundred times. I treid tacking the back up through itunes and through 3G conncetion but of no avail. Please help
I too have been having this issue since about 12/14. That is around the same time I got the Ipad for my kids. I am unsure if it is related. I have tried logging out of icloud/deleting it and trying again. Removing most of the apps to sync. I reset my router. All of the attempts have produced zero results. I will be anxiously watching this thread for some help. Good luck to you also
