Diff amount should go to Stock Account

Hi,
I am adding some octroi amount in PO . The same is getting inventorised in MIGO.
But , The value will be different after getting invoice from Octroi dept. That value also should go to Inventory.
when i change the amount as per Vendor's invoice in MIRO, it is adding with inventory . Sometimes , not happen.
Why does it happen so ? Pls explain .
With Regards
S.Siva

Hi,
Are you maintaining this as a planned delivery cost? Then check whether you have mainatined accrual key in pricing or not?
If this condition is maintained as Delivery cost in M/06, then it should get inventorised at the time of GR.
Now when you are trying to change it in MIRO, depending upon the stock it will goto material account. If stock is consumed/Issued then it will go to price difference.

  • Delivery cost should upload on stock account

    Hi Gurus,
My requirement is that delivery cost which i am putting at the time of raising PO should add to stock account. Suppose my PO value is of 100 rs
    Total PO Value -- 100
Assesable value for excise --            100    (It is required 100 not inclusive of labour cost)
    Excise  16%--                                  16.00
    Educess on 2% --                              0.32
Value inclusive of ED and edu cess -- 116.32
    Labour cost                                    -- 10.00
Total value of PO                          -- 126.32
If i go like this then FI enteries at the time of doing MIGO are
    Stock account Dr      100
    Fright account Dr       10
    GR/IR             Cr       110.00
whereas frieght value is not uploading to stock account.
How can i cope with this situtation
    Regards
    VS

    Hi,
Look at M/08 for the pricing procedure that your PO is picking up.  Then, for the freight condition that you are worried about, look at the account key.  Then go to OBYC and verify to which account it is assigned.  If your FI wants that freight amount to be posted to stock account, change the account in OBYC for this key to stock account.  It will post to stock account.  From the details you provided it appears that you are using moving average price.  So, you will have freight loaded to your material once you do the above config.
    Reward if it works!

    HI Raja,
Hope you can make use of the accout modification VKA in the account assign category in
    t.code - OME9.
For the same accout modification you can configure the
Valuation modif/General modification/Valuation class combination for your
    debit and credit GL accounts.
This is specific for the Transaction GBB under chart of accounts - INT.
    Cheers
    Arun.

  • Validating Stock Account

    Hi Experts
Our auditors are asking to providing support evidence of the amount in our main stock account 130000.  Firstly I assume that the amount in the account 130000 is calculated using the appropriate valuation method for each item.  in almost every case the method is FIFO.  therefore would it be possible to create a query which showed every FIFO layer and price for every item we have in stock and more importantly would this balance with the amount which we see on stock account 130000?
    Thanks and Regards
    Jon

    Hi Johnny,
The stock audit report is the correct report for both these requests.
To do a comparison with the balance of the stock account at a certain posting date you run it for the GL account you mentioned and select all items and warehouses and make sure to run it by Posting Date.
To check that the FIFO layers are correct or if someone wants to check that you need to run the report by system date. You need to know if you have item cost by warehouse or not (you find that in company details) so that you can do the correct grouping.
    Hope it helps,
    Jesper

  • Does the stock account balance show the profit & loss amount?

When the goods are received from the vendors the postings are as follows :-
debit stock with the purchase price
credit vendors with the purchase price
However when a sales invoice is posted how will it decrease the stocks account? can someone tell me the postings for sales invoice? because if the postings for sales is going to be like this :-
credit stock with the sales price
debit customer with the sales price
then how can we calculate profit in the above situation? does it mean the net balance of the stock account will be the profit figure? because if the purchase price of the stock is 100 and the sales price is 150, then the stocks account will have a balance of 50 in the credit side in the above example.
does it mean the balance of stock account will be the profit amount?

Every material has a price in its master data. When goods are received, the system reads the value from material master and makes the entry as follows
Dr Stock Cr. GR/IR (later when invoice come, the vendor is credited, debiting GR/IR). (Any difference in PO price to the material master, will be posted to price difference account if you maintain Standard price)
The sales process happens in two stages: 1st the goods issue and 2nd billing. When goods are issued,
    Dr.COGS
Cr. Inventory (with the same Material master price.)
    At billing
    Dr. Customer
    Cr. Sales.
Stock account will only keep track of goods movement, how much came in and how many have gone out. This should not be considered to ascertain P&L. Should you need to find the P&L, you need to find the difference between the sales account and the Cost of goods sold account.

  • Amount should be split in to different accounts

Our client is selling Computers and it is accessories.
I have material with one valuation class ,  for this material there are three warranties.
    1. Base Warranty
    2. Extended warranty
    3. Base & Extended warranty.
Case 1: if the material falls under "Base warranty" then it has to post in one GL account.(After making GR)
Case2: If the material falls under extended warranty , then it has to post another GL account..(After making GR)
Case3: If the material falls under both Base & Extended warranty , then the amount should  split in to both accounts , based on Percentage. .(After making GR)
    How can it be possible?
If any one know the solution, please inform me.
I request you , to forward , if you have any solutions for the above scenario.
    Thanks in advance .
    Kind Regards,
    N.Chandrasekhar.

    Chandrasekhar,
How do you identify the different types of warranties for the material in SAP?
You can definitely use the split valuation functionality where in you could create 3 different valuation types to represent your 3 types of warranty and then use 3 different valuation classes to link the same material to 3 different G/L accounts. For case 3, you will have to use a BADI or user exit during GR to split the amount based on your criteria.
If you are not aware of the split valuation functionality, you may wish to go through this nice explanation below.

  • Difference in Stock account , Custom clearing account

    Hi All.
I found the amount difference issue when GR document is reversed. The background is as follows.
    1. Material is procured from import vendor for which PO order currency is CNY.
    2. The conditions maintained in PO are indian standard customes conditions.
    3. After GR was made , user realised error and reversed the material document.
    4. Upon reversal it is found that
                      a. Stock Account adjusted with amount greater than GR account docuement.
                      b. GR/ IR account is perfectly adjusted as in GR account document.
                      c. Custom clearing account adjusted with amount greater than GR account docuement.
    5. Exchange rate is maintained properly for CNY to USD
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,

    Thanks for the reply.
POSTING date for GR and reversal document is same i.e today.  As I said in previous mail, the GR/ IR account is properly adjusted. Stock account and CENVAT account shows difference.

  • MB5L Report Discrepacy for Material and Stock Account Currency

I have found in the MB Report Discrepancy for Material and Stock Account Currency. Why is this happening? Why is there a variance between total price in materials and stock account? Anyone please help me. I'm abaper but now been pushed to do logistic. I need help for this issue.

    Hi,
Here's some information from help. Variances can occur for the following reasons:
You have entered postings to the stock account manually.
The stock account includes not only stock postings, but also other postings. In this case, you should check the account determination in the Customizing for Valuation and Account Assignment. Make sure that the stock accounts are used solely for the transaction key BSX (stock postings).
    Check Account Determination - OMWB
The account assignment for the stock accounts (transaction key BSX) was changed during productive operation; the respective stocks, however, were not deducted from the old account (movement type 562) and posted to the new one (movement type 561).
    Cheers !

it happens completly depending on the acount assignment category setting
SPRO--> MM --> Purchaing (OLME) > Account Assignment> Define Acc asign.
in this for the account Assignment E check ..the below
Consumption Posting -- ?  ,if it E ..then it is for sales Order.
Account Modificaition--?  it would having some Key..
this KEy is the one against which GL the consumption should GO..(here you can change your GL if required)
it is maintained in OBYC-- Trasac - GBB> and in that gainst the key eg --VKA ..the GL is maintained .
and the other thing is Special stock indicatoe -- ? -- if it is E ..then it is allocated to Stock.

  • Delivery costs to stock account for GR

    Dear All,
For the delivery cost for purchasing, I created new condition types for each and mapped them to transaction keys(all of them are mapped to FRE and FR1 keys).  While creating PO, related conditions are entered to item details and planned costs are entered for them.
The EIN and EKG keys are also activated for purchasing. When i do GR for related PO, the delivery costs are not posted also to stock account. Is there any additional customizing for this ? I need to post these additional costs to stock account (BSX key)
    Thanks,

SPRO --> MM --> Valuation and Account Assignment --> Account Determination --> Account Determination Without Wizard --> Purchase Account Management --> Calculation of Value for Purchase Account
In this screen, del. costs should be ticked for related valuation area and Company Code. For MAP delivery costs are added to stock account, for standard price delivery costs are posted to price variance account.

  • Integration FI-MM ( consignment stock) - Accounting entries & Movement type

I want to understand the integration of FI & MM from consignment stock account.
    Scenario
In Tcode OBYC what pre-requisite are required.
    1. In which transaction ( BSX) where Finished good stock Account (Balance sheet Account) in maintained.
2 In which transaction (????)  consignment stock GL is menetioned.
3 In which transaction (KON)  change in consignment stock account ( P&L Account) is created.
4 In transaction (GBB) maintenance of cost of good sold account (P&L account) is required with account group
Suppose i have 10000 Inr worth of finished stock.  We issue goods of 4000 inr worth to consignee & incurring 1000 packing charges.
The consignee sells 2000 inr worth to final customer & The consignor should be paid commison 10% & 5% charges for maintaining stock.
Ten consignee returns 2000 inr worth of goods
Please tell what accounting enteries will be passed along with movement types.

FI-MM: The integration between FI-MM happens in T-code OBYC.
      1. When PO is created :
    No Entry -
      2. When GR is posted
Inventory Account dr (Transaction Key BSX in OBYC)
To GRIR account (T.Key WRX in T-code OBYC)
      3. When Invoice is posted
          GRIR account Dr.
          Vendor account  Cr.
      4. Payment made to Vendor
          Vendor A/c Dr
                To Bank Clearing A/c Cr.
Points to know : Movement Types, Assignment of Movement types to T-keys (T-code OMJJ), Value string (I also need some information on this) , OMWN and OMWB transactions.
There is a close integration b/w FI & MM, actually document flows from MM to FI in the following areas such as,
    1. Movement Types:
Used to enable the system to find the predefined posting rules determining how the accounts of financial accounting system are to be posted & to update the stock fields in the matrl master data.(Goods Receipt, Goods Issue, etc)
    2. Valuation Class:
Assignment of material to grp of gl account, used to determine the gl accounts that are updated as a result of goods movement.
    3. Transaction/Event key:
Used to control the storage or filing of documents & assignment of documents.Used to differeniate b/w various transactions such as goods movement tht occur in inventory.
    4. Material Type:
Each material should assign mtrl type in mtrl master record used to update whether changes made in qty are updated in material master record & change in value also updated in stock account.

    Hi,
At the time of Production receipt, we will debit the FG Inventory and credit the Change in Stock A/C and at the time of delivering the  Finished goods to the Customer we will debit to Change in Stock and Credit to FG Inventory A/C ( Simply reverse the entry).
Here I want to know what is Change in stock account and when is the Cost of goods sold A/C effected.
    Thanks

Material movement should happen at standard price only. Kindly check what are you telling production order standard price must be price that is maintained in the material master only.
How did you determine the system is picking the moving average price in some cases at which period you are analysing.
Costing run is not being done you have mentioned then the standard price is same in every period.
