Difference in payment terms

Hi thr,
I am looking for a txn or a report which when executed gives the customer nos. that have different payment terms in company code data and sales data. Is there any such txn or is thr a way to acheive it?
Thanks so much !!

Sorry I'm not aware of such report in standard.
But this should be quite easy to write.
Direct selection on KNB1-ZTERM and KNVV-ZTERM and compare if different when none are blank.
Good luck

What is the difference between 'payment terms' in Payment transaction accounting view and 'Terms of payment' in purchasing data view in vendor master ?
    Please share your view.

Generally both the payment terms should be defined same
from the payment term of payment transaction screen will copy to invoice and the payment term from purchasing will copy to PO.

    No Difference in SAP.
"Payment Term" is the short text and "Terms of Payment" is the long text of this field.

    Hi
The payment block is fine, i can either add a new payment block reason or i can assign the existing block reason and i can proceed
But what ever you have said will not control my user with the solution we have give, then the system will run if my user did things on correct process
I suppose we can do a validation, for this customer group this payment terms are allowed.
    Something like that.
Hope it will work, can you put your valid suggestion
So at any point of time, it cannot be done by any standard configuration - hope iam right

I have gone thru’ SAP help, but I am not clear. Please help.

    hi
Payment terms are generally used in domestic procurement cycle.
It generally related to payment due to vendor like Advance, Immediate on delivery, 30 days, 60 days, 90 days and above. Based on this the cost /discount of material
    varies.
Inco Terms : International Commercial Terms
    They are two type
    i) Payment Terms : Advance, DA , DP and LC
ii) Delivery Terms : There are 12 different terms, general used terms are CIF, CFR and FOB.
    1) The shipping terms Seller and Buyer.
    2) CIF, CFR and FOB are in used for Foreign Trade by Air/Sea / Multimodel Transport.
    3) from port of loading to destination port.
    4) EXWORKS in domestic trade
    6) insurance will take care of various clauses of sea and air and most important element/doc in foreign trade.
Note : Here Freight means : sea or Air or rail/road.
In all cases All clearing, custom duties, freight from port to factory are paid by the buyer.
    5) CIF : Cost of goods, Insurance & Freight (sea or air ) - Seller will bear CIF till destination port.
    6) CFR/C&F : Cost (C) and(R) Freight(F) without insurance coverage. Buyer will take insurance on receipt of a fax invoice from seller before the shipment.

  • Relation between Payment term and Billing Plan

    Hi All,
I have gone through series of thread on Milestone billing and the Billing plan concept is understood but still I have a confusion regarding the relation between Payment Term that we maintain in OBB8 and the Billing plan that we maintain. practically both seems same.
For ex. Milestone Linked plan where 30% payment to be received on the completion of X work and 70% on the completion of Z work. what should be the payment term for this kind of milestone billing?
    Please suggest.
    Thanks in Advance.
    Binita Joshi

    Hi,
First there is one major difference between payment terms and billing plan.
Payment terms will come into effect once billing is done, based on the conditions of payment terms system decides whether a certain line item is  not due or overdue.
Billing plan on the other hand decides when to bill the first installment and when to bill second installment and final payment etc.
    For example:
for a order with billing plan has total value of INR 1000
    date                         Mile stone             percentage        Amount
    21.10.2011             Advance               10%                       100
    31.10.2011             installation              30 %                     300
    15.11.2011             Handing over         40  %                    400
    30.11.2011             Final invoice           20%                      200
System will create 4 invoices according to billing plan.
Once the bill is created according to payment terms FBL5n will show the status as not due/ overdue
    Hope this helps.

  • XD03 - Payment terms

    Hi team,
Can any one tell what is the difference between payment terms on customer master data in Company code - sub tab payment transactions and sales area data-sub tab billing documents?
    Rgds
    Aki

    Hello Babu Moshay,
This might be because of your Payment Terms are getting determined by Material. Please go and check it out.
We can make our payment terms found in Material master data in the condition records have a higher priority than the Customer Master.  To do that go to
    •     Transaction VK32 or VK12
    •     Put condition type SKTO
    •     Enter
    •     You will get few Key fields List Box
    •     Here you may have one field as only material with higher priority.
    •     If we want to get determine our payment terms we can have such kind of settings.
    •     Please check it out if I am sure you will get the answer.

  • MM INVOICE created with different Payment Terms and 2 differents PO.

I will explain with an example to understand better the issue and why this could happen, (for the same Co.Code):
On 05.09.2011, 5203795529 was posted with payment terms D030.
At that time, PO #: 4501105395 was having payment terms D030 while PO #: 4501232207 was having payment term D031.
    Invoice 5203795529 was posted successfully.
On 12.09.2011, 5203806574 was posted with payment terms D030.
At that time, PO #: 4501105395 was having payment terms D030 while PO #: 4501232207 was having payment term D031.
    Invoice 5203795529 was posted successfully.
In OCT, user receives another invoice for this 2 POs (4501232207 & 4501105395) and trying to post MIRO again but this time, user encountered error 'Payment terms in purchase order 4501232207 differ from current terms'. In order to proceed, user has changed payment term for 4501105395 from D030 to D031 on 17.10.2011 and proceed with invoice posting without error. 5203878342 was posted on 17.10.2011.
The vendor always has the same Payment Term: D031
Now the question is, why user is able to post without any problem previously even though there's different payment terms on both POs and not now anymore?.
    Thanks

    Thanks Jayavar,
Nobody has changed anything, (I mean the PO Payment terms),  until October in PO. 4501105395
The error message is when the user try to post with MIRO PO´s (4501232207 & 4501105395):
"Terms of payment in purchase order 4501232207 (always with Payment term D031), differ from current terms"
    Message no. M8349
    Diagnosis:
The terms of payment in the current invoice differ from those in the current purchase order 4501232207, other terms of payment were stipulated:
    Terms of payment key D031
    1st cash discount period 31 days 0,000%
Either you have selected more purchase orders with different terms of payment, or you have changed the terms of payment manually.
But the strange thing is in SEP, there's already this difference & there is no problem posting the invoice & the problem only comes when in OCT.
    Thanks and Rgs

  • Difference between 2 payment terms in vendor master

    Hi All,
Please explain the difference between the 2 payment terms in vendor master. I have noticed that the payment term of purchasing view is reflected in purchase orders. What is the use of the payment term in the finance view.
    SAPXPT

    Hi,
The Purchasing view payment terms are copied to purchasing tranactions like PO, PR where are the accounting view Payment terms are copied to financial postings  like FI invoice or Vendor Invoice.
Please  maintain different value in these two view and check creating Purchase order and Vendor invoice
Purchase order in ME21N will get the payment terms from the Purchasing view
Vendor Invocie in FB60  will get the Payment terms from the Accounting view.
    Please test and revert

  • Credit memo payment term

    hi,
in customer master, what is credit memo payment term?
what is the difference between credit memo payment term and terms of payment.
i read from F1 but still can't get it.
    thanks
    rgds

    HI
In customer master we define a payment terms as well as Credit memo payment terms.
Like suppose we have for Customer with Payment term = Net 30 days (Z001)
And for the same customer we have defined Credit memo terms = Pay Immediately (Z005).
When we post an Invoice for this customer it will have Payment terms as Z001 i.e. net 30.
Whereas when we post a credit memo for the above invoice it will inherit the new payment terms from Customer master that is, Z005 i.e. due Immediately.
Credit memo payment terms can be same as payment term or different depending on the business requirement.

  • Final price of the Sales Order calculation on payment term

    Hi,
    Out Business requirement  as follows.
    1) one ZNAP pricing condition will be maintained by the monthly wise by business for pricing. this is a  statistical condition only checking at sales order level only. this condition will check with Final price of the Sales order.
    Now the requirement is
    1) based on payment term of the Sales Order. plus if its a credit payment if the its CASH payment. these deduction should be added to ZNAP condition, and same will calculate with Final price, while creating Sales order.
    For Example:
    ZANP condition maintained  1000 USD.
    while creating the SO:
If the payment term of the customer: PT30, ( it means payment with be in 30 days of the bill creation date)
system should do the below calculations
    1) Scenario
Sales Order: Final price :                                       1500  USD( maintained by the Sales User while creating the SO)
    ZNAP price                      :                                    1000  USD
according payment term 30 days                            20 USD ( as per table maintenance for calculation of the payment term.)
Calcuation:                                                          1000+20= 1020 (approximate need to add as interest rate)
Then final it should display final price 1500-1020= 480 USD.
    2) Scenario:
    If the payment term Cash:
ZNAP                                                            : 1000 - 20= 980 ( approximately and deduct, from the condition due to cash payment its like discount)
    calucalte"                                                       1500-980= 520 difference
this purely internal pricing calculation with final price...
pl let me know how to get this in the pricing. and payment could be 30 days, 45 days 60 days etc.
    Thanks.

    Hi M Sham,
I believe your requirement can not be met with Standard pricing and you will have to create Routines for getting this result.
From scenario I believe you will be doing below points:
You should Create Z-Table with Payment Term and respective rates against those payment Term.
You should create a statistical condition type(Ex. ZNP1) and create Calculation Type routine with Logic to get KOMK-ZTERM field and derive value from Z-Table and update XKWERT field.
Calculate addition of ZNAP and ZNP1 (With +ve or -ve Signs)
And then again make deduction of derived value from Finale Value.
Do let me know if I have misunderstood your question.

    MJ.

  • Calendar date & net due date (FI) PAYMENT TERMS - OBB8 Vendor Invoice

I read many posts on SDN forum about the topic.
Anyway, I didn't find a simple solution for that.
My aim is is to calculate a net due date based on working days.
So, If I've got a 30 days document days payment term  ("Deafult for baseline date" = Document date ; Additional Months = '2'), a Vendor Invoice (document date = 12.05.2011), by standard net due date will be 12.06.2011.
    FROM 12.05.2011 to 12.06.2011 =
    32 CALENDAR  DAYS
    22 WORKDAYS (32 minus  10 holyday - 2 weekends)
WORKDAYS PAYMENT TERMS  Within 30 workdays Due net
Vendor Invoice  document date = 12.05.2011
plus   30 workdays   =  DUE DATE  22.06.2011  (and not 12.06.2011)
Can I obtain that with a standard functionality?
Edited by: Roberto Buono on Jul 1, 2011 2:29 PM

    Hi,
Sadly this is not available as standard.  As per your need the Net due date should be worked out by using a factory calendar; but what this does is it delinks the direct correlation between the number of days in the payment terms with the difference between the due date and baseline date.  I hope you are aware that Net Due date is not stored but is a variable calculated during run time in reports.
There are four things you can try:
    1.  The simplest to do is: As the number of weekends are fixed; and if the intention is to give a 30 working day term, then add on the number of weekends and make the payment term effectively for say 40 days.  There will be marginal variations over what you want. Best part here is that config remains standard.
    2. All the receivable reports will use a function module (usually the same one) to calculate the net due date; enhance the FM and make it consider a factory calendar for calculating due date.
    3. Enhance the accounting interface, and in runtime; modify the days that are coming from the payment term; based on a factory calendar, and update the accounting document. This delinks the days mentioned in the payment term and the accounting document and may not be palatable.
    4. Enhance the accounting interface, and in runtime; calculate the due date and update the baseline date with it and make the payment term as "Immediate" yielding the desired due date. Not very elegant.  Alternatively add to the baseline date days equivalent to holidays and weekends and keep the days from payment terms constant and update the accounting document. Better...
All four options have somes pros and cons.  I do not see any other means of acheiving what you want.  Maybe you could restrict users to a custom receivables/due date/ageing report which delivers what you want and lock the standard reports.
    Cheers..

  • Payment block due to Vendor Payment Terms/Method.

    Hi All
We have a situation where we have a payment block due to difference in amount while doing MIRO and PO. (An entry gets created in RBKP_BLOCKED table with Log. Payment Block = 'A'). When we release blocked invoices after changing the PO amount through t code MRBR (selected release automatically), it changes the log payment block field from 'A' to 'M' but the entry remains there.
This is happening only for foreign vendors and that too with payment terms 'CV06' (Automatic Payment). For domestic vendors it removes the entry from RBKP_BLOCKED table all together which we want in case of foreign vendors as well.
    Thanks in advance.
    Harsh

    HI,
There is a Quality Block (Block.reason: quality) check Box active in the MIRO,untill we have cleared the Stock from quality inspection.
So we have to write in the Exit below
    EXIT_SAPLMRMP_010-ZXM08U16-----MIRO
if this indicator SPGRC is "X" Configure an error message that material is in Quality inspection.
    Hope so it helps

  • Payment terms in Vendor Master data and purchasing info record

Hi, all, I met one trouble. While I create Purchase Order. In the header item, payment terms is automatically pop up from the data maintaining the vendor master data or purchasing info record if there is difference payment terms between in vendor master data and in purchasing info record. What happend?
Sometimes, When you create purchase order, payment terms is not automatically pop up even you maintained in the vendor master data or purchasing info record. Why? Is it meaning that I can manually to input payment terms while create each purchase order which can be difference data with vendor master data or purchase info record?
Thank you very much in advance,

    Hi,
The payment terms is usually defaulted from either vendor master or purchasing master data record such as contract/outline agreement.  Unless it is set through configuration that the payment terms be set as mandatory, any failure to maintain payment terms won't stop you from posting your PO as this information will only be useful during invoice receipt maintenance.  Having said that if you are setting up your system with discount condition type as part of your PO pricing schema then it is necessary that the payment terms shall be maintained during PO creation.
    Cheers,

  • Payment terms in vendor invoice posting

    Hi all,
When using FB60 to post vendor invoice, I can't see payment terms and discount information under "payment" tab.
I had create payment terms in IMG, and assigned it to the vendor master record.
    Do I miss anything?
    Thanks for the help!
    YuLin

    Julia,
I use FK01 when I created the Vendor Master data and assigned payment terms to the vendor, I went to FK02 (change), and can see my assigned payment terms there. Is there any difference if I assign payment terms in FK02 rather than in FK01?
My problem is I couldn't see "payment terms"  when I post a vendor invoice nor can I see it in line item display after I posted the invoice. I couldn't see the settings for discount either, not that I wanted to see the discount "amount".
I suspected that the settings for my new vendor is causing me this problem but not the payment terms itself, or could be the combination of company code and vender master record settings, so when I try to post invoice to this vender, I couldn't see payment terms, but while I post other vendor's invoice, I can see payment terms.. I could be wrong..
