I don't think that this topic is worth an article.
The difference is that JAZN performs J2EE container managed authentication in OC4J, whereas dynamic credentials allows ADF BC users to have their own database connection to their own schema (instead of sharing a database connection which then could be database pooled). So we are talking about comparing apples and beans here

Diff between Static and Dynamic Filters.
Example One at report Level.
Create a variable for a Infoobject say ,Material .
1)In the Query Designer and if u restrict it to some 10 materials at query level, the report will display for only those 10 materials only.This is Static Filter.UR AHrdcoding it to those materials.You cant change them at Query Run time.i.e not changeable by user.
2)If u give the variable as input ,and when u run the query ,u can can choose the material,may 10 may be 1 or may 20 .It is dynamic.Changeable by user at run time
Example Two at DTP and Start Routine Level,say Document Type.
1)If u give filters in Start routine it is Static as u cannot change it in Production,not changeable by user.
2)f u give filters in DTP it is Dyanamic as u can change it in Production.U can give any doc type,Changeable by user at run time.

Configuration.createRootApplicationModule and dynamic credentials

Hi,
I'm trying to access business services of an ApplicationModule (AM B) from another ApplicationModule (AM A) (all in layer Model), using the static method oracle.jbo.client.Configuration.createRootApplicationModule.
The problem that I've doing this, is that I do some initializations in Database (VPD, user context, ...) using prepareSession(SessionData) and UserData information acquired in the SessionCookie creation (with HttpSession information).
Now with Configuration.createRootApplicationModule, I don't know how to pass the information that I need with EnvInfoProvider (if this is the way), or maybe I'm following a wrong way, and exists another better way to do what I pretend.
Another question. Seems that createRootApplicationModule tries to use AM Pool, to obtain the AM, if exists any previous instance of the AM created by ADFBindingFilter/DataControl, this method will obtain the same instance or a new one?
And the last one question about this theme, there's any way to obtain this AM in stateless mode release if the AM configuration file says that this will be released in Stateful mode? maybe using another additional configuration for the AM?
Anybody could help me and rescue me from my ignorance of this world?

Diff betwn Substitution and Dynamic Variable

Substitution variables act as global placeholders for information that changes regularly.
Each variable has a value assigned to it that can be set and changed centrally on the Analytic Services server at any time. When you are creating a substitution variable it depends on the requirement that variable is going to used for all application and its database or for particulaer apllication and its databases.
Substitution variables are especially useful when you are developing and reporting on rolling forecasts.
You can also use substitution variable in web form , business rules.
Substitution variable is created in Essbase but from 11.1.2.2 we can create substitution variable from workspace.
There is nothing named as Dynamic User variable. If i am not wrong you are asking about user variable.
User variables act as filters in data forms, enabling planners to focus only on the members they are interested in, such as departments in a particular division. Before you can associate a user variable with a data form, you must create the user variable.
User variable can increase performance by helping planners focus on certain members.
It is available in the File -> New -> User variable. It is also available in the Administration -> Manage -> User Variable.

Static assembly processing :
If you create a sales order for a material with the 'assembly processing' technique, the system carries out an availability check for the components needed for the assembly and creates a single procurement element in the background.
The procurement element is assigned to the sales order directly. The number of the procurement element is determined in the sales order.
Dynamic assembly Processing :
If you create a sales order for a material with the 'assembly processing' technique, the system carries out an availability check for the components needed for the assembly. Depending on the results of the availability check, either one or several procurement elements are created. The quantity for a one-time delivery and/or the next possible deadline for a full delivery and/or a delivery proposal with then ext possible deadline are displayed on the availabililty control screen.
During dynamic assembly processing, you can not change the quantities and deadlines. You can, however, select the 'fix date and quantity' field, if necessary. The 'check scope' and 'other plants' functions are not available here.
The procurement element numbers are not saved in the sales order. The link between the procurement element and the sales order is created using the number of the individual stage (sales order number/item). For this reason, it is possible to carry out another availability check taking into account incoming stock and additional, manually entered procurement elements.
In Requirements class definition (OVZG), The assembly type indicator determines:
- Which procurement element is created
- Whether a 1:1 link exists between the sales order and the procurement element (static procedure) or whether a loose link exists with the option of splitting dates and quantities (dynamic procedure).
In the case of static assembly order processing, you make the changes to the production order directly from the sales order.
In the case of dynamic assembly order processing, you must call the production orders separately.

Yes and No. No because it is not supported out-of-the-box by JHeadstart, yes because you can do this post-generation and then move the custom code to JHeadstart templates.
However, it is not a trivial thing to build, you can try the JDeveloepr forum for any help, we can help you with moving the post-generation code to custom templates, since that is the JHeadstart-related part of your question.

Dynamic Credentials and Web Service Data Controls

I've followed Steve Muench's post on using Dynamic Credentials (14.     Dynamic JDBC Credentials for Model 1 and Model 2 [10.1.3.2] 2006, Upd: 17-MAY-2007), which works fine with the ADF BC part of the project. However, the project also contains Data Controls created from web services. I'm getting the following exception. Why are the web services being effected by the credentials and how can I fix it?

Difference between requirement number and dynamic bin number

what is the difference between requirement number and dynamic bin number in the WMS.i used requirement number as bin number in various scenarios ,but i am not used dynamic bin ....what is the use of it....or it is same as requirement bin number.

The Dynamic bin number means that SAP will create the number 'Dynamically. the requirement number is free text and is a reference number
If you create an outbound delivery and create a TO to pick it the stock moves to st type 916 and the bin is the delivery number but the delivery number does not exist at this point as a bin and when the delivery has shipped ypu no lomger require that bin number and so SAP creates the bin dynamically and then it disappears when the delivery is shipped
The createion of Dynamic bins is driven by a setting in the movement type so for instance for movement type 601 the dest st type is 916 and the destination st bin in the movement type config (OLMJ) is ticked so that the destination st bin is created 'Dynamically.
Yhis is the same for a GR when the bin is the PO number in 902 because it is created dynamically

In item proposal when u enter the details in the sales document you have to click on propose items to get the list
the customer regularly purchases.
While in dynamic product proposal once you specify the sold to party and press enter , system automaticall gives you
the list of the materials the customer regularly purchases, it a faster way of entry than item proposal.

Given that you named the class TextDynamicLayout, it implies you are trying to handle wordwrapping text. That requires handing down the VBox's explicitWidth to the Text controls before they get measured. Wordwrapping text can be any size so it needs to have its width fixed in order to determine its height.
The List classes do not support percentages on the renderers. All renderers are effectively given a size based on the List's size (or DG Column size). You can see how explicitWidth is handled in the default renderer by looking at the source for ListItemRenderer.as.
Note that VBox or any container makes for heavy and slow rendering. That's why the default Flex renderers extend UIComponent and have custom measure() and updateDisplayList() methods.

SSO between Portal and Nakia.....problem with SSO... library not found..

We have a Portal environment 7.02 , a Nakisa environment 3.0 (CE) and and HR backend environment 701 (604).
We are busy setting up SSO between Portal and Nakisa via the, URL iview for the Org chart (http://<host>:<port>OrgChart/default.jsp).
We have done as indicated in wiki:

It seems like it finds the verify.pse, but not the library, sapsecu.dll.

Ref cursor and dynamic sql

Hi..
I'm using a ref cursor query to fetch data for a report and works just fine. However i need to use dynamic sql in the query because the columns used in the where condition and for some calculations may change dynamically according to user input from the form that launches the report..
Ideally the query should look like this:
select
a,b,c
from table
where :x = something
and :y = something
and (abs(:x/:y........)
The user should be able to switch between :x and :y
Is there a way to embed dynamic sql in a ref cursor query in Reports 6i?

Hello Nicola,
You can parameterize your ref cursor by putting the query's select statement in a procedure/function (defined in your report, or in the database), and populating it based on arguments accepted by the procedure.
For example, the following procedure accepts a strongly typed ref cursor and populates it with emp table data based on the value of the 'mydept' input parameter:
Procedure emp_refcursor(emp_data IN OUT emp_rc, mydept number) as
Begin
-- Open emp_data for select all columns from emp where deptno = mydept;
Open emp_data for select * from emp where deptno = mydept;
End;
This procedure/function can then be called from the ref cursor query program unit defined in your report's data model, to return the filled ref cursor to Reports.

Need help with ASA 5512 and SQL port between DMZ and inside

Hello everyone,
Inside is on gigabitEthernet0/1 ip 192.9.200.254
I have a dmz on gigabitEthernet2 ip 192.168.100.254
I need to pass port 443 from outside to dmz ip 192.168.100.80 and open port 1433 from 192.168.100.80 to the inside network.
I believe this will work for port 443:

Hi Vibor. Apologies if my comment was misunderstood. What I meant to say was that the security level of the dmz interface should probably be less than 100.
And therefore traffic could be controlled between DMZ and inside networks.
As per thr security level on the DMZ interface. ....... that command is correct. :-)
