Can anyone explain me in detail, how to create DIP Profile for Biliing and result analysis?

    In odp2 I have given the dip profile as zabcxxx and my sales document type is zdr,

    Status dip profile is in :  RED ERROR
    my issue is the status profile is showing red error
    In short description  has maintained as

    In Tcode ODP2,
    Further in the consistency check in characteristic screen.
    1st Click on Source hyperlink.
    Here, you should be able to see cost element with proper status (green)
    If everthing is fine source. Then click on Mat. Determination hyperlink.
    Here you can see the material to determine.
    And field with respective status & sets.
    By that you will be able know/recognise cause of error.

  • Link Between DIP Profile and RA Key

    Hi All,
    As per Result Analysis calculation Method-15 "Revenue from Resource-Related Billing and Simulation of Dynamic Items", the "Cost of Sales" is calculated on the amount of actual cost incurred according to DIP Profile.
    Can anybody tell me How the RA Key and DIP Profile are linked to each other? What is the configuration for this?

    I checked it and it's defined as optional.
    The field "payment terms" is alreday displayed for all posting key.
    The problem is that the "payment terms" that is defined in the customer master record is fulfilled per default in F-36 (bill of exchange payment) with posting key 14 and not with posting key 16.

  • DIP profile setting

    Hi, gud morning, eveybody.
    I m working on construction project which requires me tointegrate DIP with PS. i have made the setting as explained in SAP-help and documents provided in BB46, but somehow, i have failed to understand if it is really meeting my requirement. basically i m trying to say, i m not getting the concept of DIP.
    1) what do i need to do to make DIP work with planned total records ?
    2)where does planned DIP pick up the cost or resorces from and where does it plug it in quotaion if im working with resource related quotation?
    3) when i run 'check prifile setting under ' DIP status it says 'not ok' what does it mean how do i turn this arround?
    does someone have any really useful document on DIP settings other than help file or can someone explain DIP with setting.

    Maintaining Profiles for Sales Order and Billing Request
    Use
    The Dynamic Item Processor (DIP) profile defines and controls resource-related quotation and billing for service orders and sales documents. It may be maintained in either the Customer Service or the Sales and Distribution section of the IMG. The DIP profile allows flexible determination and translation of actual labor, material and other costs into sales materials for appropriate pricing and billing.
    DIP profiles BC10 is used exclusively in the value chain for time and material project.
    Integration
    The DIP profile functionality is closely integrated with the controlling module for the processing of cost objects into sales materials.
    Prerequisites
    Relevant sales document types, condition records, sales materials have been created.
    Procedure
    Access the activity using one of the following navigation options:
    IMG Menu Project System ® Revenues and Earnings ® Integration with SD documents ® Creating Quotations and Project Billing ® Maintain Profiles for Quotations and Billing
    Transaction Code ODP12.
    Activities:•      In the configuration item Profiles for Sales Order, Billing, Results Analysis, choose profiles BC12.
    •     The DIP profile can be used for processing resource-related billing and results analysis, as well as for generating resource-related quotations. To do so, sales document types must be defined for each usage. Access the Usage section of the profile and maintain the following entries:

  • Result analysis for Direct Postings

    Hi All,
    I have a new requirement for Result Analysis determination at service order level
    Requirement is while posting cost to service order we have two costs, one is through Activity (KP26) and another is direct posting using KB11N.
    Both have different cost elements
    615000 is for activity pricing using KP26 which posted 120 $
    195009 is for direct cost posting using KB11n which posted 150$
    Now after the actual cost is posted to service order we are doing result Analysis using KKA1, I am getting 120+150 in WIP. But requirement is system should ignore cost of direct postings using KB11N from WIP and it should calculate 120 alone  in WIP
    I hope there is no settings using DIP profile to control this, i read some help and it says using OKG4 and OKG5 this can be controlling
    I tried using OKG4 with Line id and assigning Category as N , but it is not ignoring
    Could you please guide on how to ignore direct cost entries being determined to WIP. I have a vague idea on OKG4 and OKG5

    Hello,
    While OKG4 can achieve however please bear in mind that since you are not going to settle this cost anywhere, cost will always seat of Service order. When you try and close service order you will get error that not all cost is settled, this will further impact your month end RA / Settlement job.
    I know we can still close service order having cost but that requires setting on Settlement Profile and most of organization have SOX which does not allow them to close Cost object which has balance onto it.
    I am side tracking bit but wanted to bring this up as down steam issue.

  • Results Analysis Settle Internal Order (from CRM) - No cost element allowed

    In SPRO results analysis configuration to "Define Posting Rules for Settlement to Financial Accounting" I am not allowed to use an account with a cost element.  (Error: I get error KQ 119 G/L account ### cannot be created as a cost element.)
    I configure a G/L account with no cost element.  KO88 Settlement posts to G/L account fine; however, does not post to the internal order because the config mentioned on first line does not allow me to use an account with a cost element. 
    Problem: I am unable to see settlement in KOB1 report because settlement goes to GL Account, but does not post to the internal order.
    Failed solution:  I tried to use OKC9 substitution at KO88 to substitute the internal order number.  The problem is that table AUFKV is empty when the substitution runs at KO88 settlement.  I am not able to substitute the order number because the order number isn't even available in the substitution at internal order settlement.
    I put a break manual break point in program GBTACCOB at the call to the substitution rule I defined.  The breakpoint stops at the substitution when I run KO88 settlement; however, fields are blank. I am unable to do substitution.  I know this works because I have a similar substitution on the same internal order for accounting indicator when doing an MB1A goods issue to an internal order.  The break point stops there and the AUFKV data is available for substitution rule.
    Question:
    Any suggested solutions to to have internal order update into KO88 settlement after KKA1 results analysis would be helpfull.

    It is more of a reporting issue really. 
    The problem is that internal order settlement with settlement profile instead of results analysis does post the settlement to the internal order and does use a cost element.  This is the business process the users currently have.  Our users have a requirement to settle the orders weekly.  This helps them find issues earlier and speeds up the month end close.
    In the past we could use KOB1 and see the current balance of an internal order and see the settlement.  Now that report no longer shows the settlement.  How can I see what has been settled on an order and what hasn't now?

  • Result Analysis Settlement - Posting to FI

    Hi all
    I am configuring Result analysis related configuration to post WIP values to FI on period basis. I did following nodes configuration
    1.  Create Result Analysis Keys
    2.  Define Result Analysis Versions
    3.  Define Valuation Methods for Result Analysis
    4.  Define LIne ID
    5.  Define Assignment for Result Analysis
    6.  Define update for Result Analsysis
    7.  Define posting rules for Settlement to Finanacial Accounting
    We have RA connection with Projects
    After making all above configurations when we are performing KKA2 and CJ88, NO FI documents are getting posted and we are repeatedly getting message as there is no "Accrual" values. 
    We even not getting WIP values at KKA2, though we have eligble values at Project.
    we need to fix that at high priority...
    your inputs are highly appreciated..

    Based up on the above discussion did you executed any standard cost and revenue reports against the relevant WBS elements and verified that costs and revenue are flowing properly to the project ?
    In the RA are you able to see the WIP Values,Planned values and Actual values for COST and REVENUE ?
    And what are the parameters you maintained in  Settelement Profile ?

  • Assigning DIP profile in Sales order

    Hi all,
    Here I had a strange issue. I want to assign DIP profile in my Sales order to create DP91. The box for assigning DIP profile ( Control of Resource-related Billing and Creation of Quotations) under SalesB tab of item data is disappearing in specific case.
    Sometimes it is appearing and some other times it is not. I am not able to catch the difference. Can anyone please suggest me on this.

    Thank you for your answer. My item cat is TAO and schedule line is CD. By default I am not using any requirement type (leaving the field as blank) as my case is service related. In that case I am not getting the above said box. But when I attach KE or any other requirement type manually in sales order under procurement tab, then that box is coming where I can attach my DIP. But why should I give requirement type as I am using material type as DIEN (service)? Where is the linke between requirement type and that box? This is just my analysis. May be I am going in wrong way (but my foundings are correct).
    Can you suggest me please.

  • Billing Based on DIP Profile - PS - SD Line Items Structure

    Hi,
    I have created a sales order with 1 line item which is linked with a WBS Element via account assignment.
    Based on the line item and WBS structure & Activities. I am billing the customer by creating a debit memo from DP91.
    The billing is POC basis and is done on monthly basis. Thus at the end of each month the customer is billed according to quantities confirmed in DP91. Ultimately the complete project is done and all billing is completed as well.
    Now the problem is: sales order line item had 1 quantity, however debit memo created via DP91 had more than 1 quantities and we have created multiple debit memo request w.r.t. a sales order. now the project is completed, but the status of the sales order is stilll "open". what should be the structure of sales order line items so that order is also set as completed when all quantities in PS are billed.

    You have 2 questions
    1. On DIP
    DIP has nothing to do with WBS, though you use WBS as one of teh characteristics in DIP. As per your DIP, many sales orders are created and they are enabled with different material (material determination in DIP). In order to analyse this further, you have to analyse the DIP, which is linked to your item category in VOV7. If not in VOV7, you can see the DIP name in the item level in the sales order. Using this, you can go to PS and there you can see the characteristics, usage and materials configured for this profile. This will give you a lead to find out why multiple items are coming. As per DIP profile, having multiple materials while creating documents in DP91 is expected behaviour.
    2. For sales order update, you have to invoice all your billing plans, if your order items are billing plans enabled, (may be MS billing as your system has PS also). If you check this, and invoice all the milestones, then the status will be updated automatically. Before updating the sales order status, you should also close all the WBS elements and the project, which are linked to the sales order (I am not sure about this point, but you can try it in the test system, be have the system of one project per salesorder, may not be the case for you)

    Hi,
    If there is no posting happening in FI then there could be some thing wrong in Cost element / G/L assignment as this will play major role in carrying cost / revenue from project to settlement receiver. Please cross-check your settlement configuration as this will carry calculated revenue / cost from project to FI. Please take the help of FI/CO consultant on this matter.
    After calculating revenue / cost through RA, the same will be settled to a receiver such as PSG / G/L etc. There is only one steps after RA i.e. project settlement
    If you want to post calculated revenue / cost into FI then calculated result after RA need to be settled to permanent cost object. However after RA, details can be obtained at project level.
    In order do settlement, you have to configure settlement profile of the project with allocation structure / PA transfer structure / source structre (if required) etc.
    The critical in settlement configuration is proper debit or and  credit account should be defined properly to carry out calculated revenue / cost from project to permanent cost object.

  • DIP profile, simple question, no solution?

    I have to create a quotation from a service order, and it looks like simple because I have 2 or 3 internal operations everytime and they have to be reported in quotation (DP80).
    Work Center for operations is the same, activity type the same... but I have to report exactly the same NUMBER of entry in quotation.
    Example:
    CS Order:
    Operation 10: Internal work center A: TEXT01, activity A, duration 1 hr. cost = 10
    Operation 10: Internal work center A: TEXT02, activity A, duration 2 hr. cost = 20
    Result in DP80 is:
    Item 1: Service material AAA price 30
    Requirement is:
    Item 1: Service material AAA price 10
    Item 2: Service material AAA price 20

    Hi Frederico,
    yes this is possible. In the settings of the DIP profile you can go to: Characteristics, after selecting the Usage: Quotation creation and sales pricing. In the characteristics list you mark the Activity Type in the field: NoSummarization. If you choose F1 in this checkbox you get this explanation:
    No summarization
    Controls the second summarization level for dynamic items, meaning from dynamic items to items of the billing request. The indicator defines whether the characteristic is taken into consideration during summarization of the items.
    Use
    If you do not set the indicator, the system summarizes into an item all dynamic items in the billing request for which the same material was found during quotation or billing creation. This also applies even if, for example, the assigned activity type is different for both materials (see Case 1).
    If, for example, you do set this indicator (for example, for the activity type) the system does not summarize into an item the dynamic items for which the same material was found during quotation or billing creation if the activity types are different (see Case 2).
    Examples
    Case 1:
    The indicator No summarization is not set for the activity type.
    Dynamic item Activity type Material found
    12 h Activity 1 Mat 1
    5 h Activity 2 Mat 2
    1 h Activity 3 Mat 2
    When creating a billing request, the system creates the following items:
    Item Material Qty/Unit
    10 Mat 1 12 h
    20 Mat 2 6 h
    Because the indicator is not set for the activity type, the material "Mat 2" is summarized in the item of the billing request.
    Case 2:
    The indicator No summarization is set for the activity type.
    The system does not perform summarization in the item of the billing request, but instead lists the items separately by activity type.

  • DP90 from service order, and value contract (Resource related billling - DIP Profile)

    Hi all, I've this issue:
    I have created a value contract with an only position, dummy service material (DIEN) via VA41. Then, I've created a service orden with IW31, related it with sales document (position 10 of mentioned value contract). I've did confirmations for several opertations from the order (an operation --> an activity type). In a zeta DIP profile I've link activity tipes with anothers DIEN material. This DIP profile is in orden.
    I can create sales order with DP90, everything ok! But... value released has not been actualized in value contract...
    I found this note, number 1176009, "Value contract FAQs", and say it:
    Question: Does the value contract scenario support documents that were
    created using resource-related billing (for example, DP90, DP91, DP..)?
    Answer: No, this function is not supported in the standard system and
    results in update terminations in the statistic.
    Which is the solution?

    Well, I think I find the solution. I did it with BADI BADI_SD_V46H0001, method EXIT_SAPLV46H_001, and this code:
    METHOD if_ex_badi_sd_v46h0001~exit_saplv46h_001.
         c_vbapkom-wktnr = c_vbapkom-vgbel.
         c_vbapkom-wktps = c_vbapkom-vgpos.
    ENDMETHOD.
    I'm testing, but it's working.

  • Sales order item report based on results analysis key and status

    Hi,
    I am trying to find a a report to generate list of sales order items with following selection
            -invoicing status -invoiced/not invoices (other status)
            -result analysis key assigned to this item (VBAP-ABGRS)
            -system status /released/teco
    Basically i am CO consultant and not so familiar with the SD statuses. I tried VA05 and V.26 but all required selections are not available in these reports.
    If no standard report is available in ERP, i would like to have it in BI. Can some help me with table fields for statuses.

    Go to SE16 and give VBUK table and execute it there you can select the following feilds and then check wheather they are meeting your requirements or not.If they are meeting your requirements then create a new Z report by copying standard VA05 key feilds. and include the other feilds which you need.So you take your ABAP team help

  • Result analysis for sub-items on SD-order

    Hello,
    I would like to know, whether also the document flow for subitems is being checked while executing result analysis.
    Example:
    We have got an SD order, a higher-level item and a sub-item.
    Both of them have assigned the same result analysis key. Within this key it is defined in customizing (OKG3), that the Sales Order Structure is A-"Summarize Plan and Actual Data of Subitems on Highest Item"....so the result analysis for the sub-item is being performg via the higher-level item.
    The higher-level positions is already completed - the delivery is made and also the invoice is created.
    The sub-item is not completed - neighter delivery is made nor the invoice.
    While executing the result analysis for the higher-level item, the status FNBL (final billing) is recognized and all cost are settled from WIP to CO-PA.
    As far as I know, the document flow should be checked withitn the result analysis and based on this the status should be recognized.
    Therefore It seems, that only the document flow from the higher-level item is being checked. If also the document flow from the sub-item is checked, there would be no way to get the status FNBL as the sub-item is not complete.
    Is it SAP standard delivered behaviour?

    I have tried to delete the result analysis key from the sub-item, but still the same result in result analysis...
    Could you tell my the consequences from the 1A setup from the note? It is adviced withitn the note to not use the 1A setup. But we use this and it works fine. Just some messages during the result analysis, that it could not be performed for sub-items, but this has no influence on the values.

  • Problem with Result Analysis report (KKAK)

    Hello Experts,
    I am facing problem with T-code KKAK, when I am executing this transaction (Results Analysis (RA) on sales orders creates the data for posting to the GL, depending on the sales order (i.e. WIP or COS) ) system is displaying/calculating for all sales order which are already completed (fully shipped and billed), this report displaying in 300 to 400 pages.
    My requirement is  .. is it possible to display only sales orders which are no completed. This will help alot.
    Please help me to solve this problem.

    Hi,
    in the selection screen of KKAK in "Output options" there is a flag "display closed items".
    Uncheck this and ensure that all completely processed orders have status closed (CLSD).
    Thus they will not be reported anymore.
