Disable collaboration invitation mail?

Hi,
Is it possible to disable the collaboration room invitation mail in the portal without disabling normal subscription/notification mails or send to mail functionality?
Best regards, Martin

Hi Martin,
this should be possible via Collab Admin -- Related Links: Configure Room Backend -- Automatically Send Mails: False.
Hope it helps (and works)

I have multiple devices that have my iCloud E-mail, I want to disable the E-Mail on some of the devices but keep it on others, I do not have physical access to the ones I want to disable but I do have access to the devices I want to keep receiving mail, can I do this with a simple password reset or will that still leave all devices enabled?

The simple way would be to uncheck 'Mail' in System Preferences (or Settings)>iCloud, but as you would need access to the devices in question to do that you will have to change your password, at http://appleid.apple.com. You will then need to sign out and back on all the devices you want to be able to receive mail, and it's important that you follow this procedure and note the warning:
Firstly, if you have 'Find My iPhone/iPad/iMac' enabled on any of your devices, turn it off.
Go to http://appleid.apple.com and click 'Manage your Apple ID'. Sign in with the current ID.
Where it says 'Password & Security' and gives your current ID email address, click 'edit'.
Enter your new password and click 'Save changes'.
Now you will need to go to each of your devices and sign out in System Preferences (or Settings)>iCloud - 'Sign out' on a Mac, 'Delete this account' on an iOS device (this will not delete the account from the server).
Then sign back in with your new ID. Your iCloud data will disappear from your devices when you sign out, but reappear when you sign back in.
I re-iterate: before you start, turn off 'Find My Mac' (or whatever) or you will need the services of Support.
The devices on which you have not changed the password will throw up continual error messages as they attempt to contact iCloud and fail.

  • Ical invitation mails with cryptic sender mail address

    Hi everybody,
why do my ical invitation mail have a cryptic sender mail address so that no reply can be send successfully.
Sender mail address look like "<account name> <calenderserver+53b1b7f5-5277-4fb2-8e4e-c244cd7fc4cb@<domain>>". The part in bold typo is added automatically by ical server and depends on the ical event.
    Looking forward to Your help.
    Regards,
    Christian

Am I correct to assume that you also have mail running on this same server?
If so, open up your Server Admin, go to Mail, then click on the Maintenance tab and look in the Accounts pane to see what user account that particular UUID# belongs to and you will have your answer

  • How to add cc to collaboration invitation/uninvitation mail?

    Hi,
we would like to know when a room-owner has invited/uninvited members to the collaboration room.
One idea was to use the invitation/uninvitation mail and add a specific emailadress as cc.
How can I do this? Any other ideas (report etc.)?
    Thanks, Stefan.

    Hi Stefan,
As the extensions are created on the room templates, I expect that they cannot be added for existing rooms (not absulutely sure, as I haven't touched them for a while).
But yes, there is a report about the invitations/uninvitations, see http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw2004s/helpdata/en/45/118a3f578204a8e10000000a155369/frameset.htm (for NW2004s) or http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/45/118a3f578204a8e10000000a155369/frameset.htm (for NW04).

  • Change language of Collaboration invitations

    Hi Everybody,
is there a possibility to offer the email for the Collabortaion Invitation in two different languages? By default there is only the english language available. I can change the properties under Collaboration->room backend mail but i need two different languages.
So if a user logon to the portal with the german language, he should get the invitation in german and otherwise in english.
    regards,
    Seed

    Hi Seed,
    See http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/40/6b016ce6392729e10000000a114cbd/frameset.htm --> "Configure E-Mails for Rooms"
You have to create new properties à la "roominvitation_de" etc., that's all. As a matter of fact, this is not documented anymore for NW 7.0: http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw2004s/helpdata/en/40/6b016ce6392729e10000000a114cbd/frameset.htm - I didn't try it, but I expect this still to be implemented...
    Hope it helps

  • Non English caracters in Policy Server invitation mail

Letters that are not in the English alphabet do not come out as they should when invitation and confirmation mails are sent from Adobe Policy Server.
In my case the Norwegian letters Æ Ø Å are not showing correct. But I'm guessing this goes for all other non eng. letters.
    Example Š= å
I have installed Adobe Policy Server (automatic install) with JBOSS/Tomcat and use the IIS smtp server. Does anyone know where I have to do changes to get things correct?

    Hello Chris
Thank you for pointing me in the right direction. However I can not get it to work. It said utf8 and not utf-8 in the jboss-run.bat so I have tired both entries in the run.bat file (one at a time):
    run.bat
    set JAVA_OPTS=%JAVA_OPTS% -Xms128m -Xmx512m -Dfile.encoding=utf-8
    set JAVA_OPTS=%JAVA_OPTS% -Xms128m -Xmx512m -Dfile.encoding=utf8
I also changed the jboss-run.bat to -Dfile.encoding=utf-8 without any sucsess.
The regional settings on the win2003 server is set to Norwegian and I have a full server restart after each time I make a change in the *.bat file. Any tip on what I might be doing wrong would be appretiated.
    Regards
    Michael

  • How to Disable Conversations in Mail

I NEVER want to see any email in conversations view; I only want to see 1 email at a time. Even though, in Yosemite Mail, I have unchecked all "view conversations" options in Mail Preferences, I am still seeing conversations when I click on a specific email.
How do I totally disable conversations?
    Thank you.

I think Apple has broken a rule here: don't impose organisational changes on your users.
They should have made this optional - Instead of which they have a number of disgruntled users who find their tried and tested mail organisation is broken.
You can see that some Apple hack reluctantly acknowledged this by providing a "Classic" button which nevertheless doesn't remove the "conversations" issue.
    Most frutstrating.
The other frustration is "Mission Control" and a long linear incompetent organisational paradigm replacing "Spaces".
A bit of a hiccup, this Lion: Are they running out of things to fix because it's working fine?

  • Theme 31.0 disabled my yahoo mail. OK with FF safe mode

It seems very likely that theme 31.0 update caused my yahoo mail to malfunction. The mail page upload fine, however i can not open any mail on any folder. I can call (on the left bar) for any folder but again can not open any individual mail. few findings that i discovered:
    1. FF on safe mode: problem disapper
    2. When i go back to the yahoo basic mode, it works but many of the standard features are missing and i prefer to stay on the full featured version.
    3. no problem with Yahoo mail full feature when using explorer.
    4. no problem with mail on the ipad

If it works in Safe Mode and in normal mode with all extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) disabled then try to find which extension is causing it by enabling one extension at a time until the problem reappears.
Close and restart Firefox after each change via "Firefox > Exit" (Windows: Firefox/File > Exit; Mac: Firefox > Quit Firefox; Linux: Firefox/File > Quit)

  • Disable synchronization in Mail

This request is probably the opposite of what everyone else wants, and that´s why I can´t find the answer anywhere.
I have 2 macs using Mail, and with the 3 same e-mail accounts set up in both. I used to have POP mails, and a few weeks ago I changed to Imap. That´s when my "problems" started.
If I open, read, delete etc. anything in Mail.app on one of the macs, the other one automatically updates what´s been going on. I want this feature disabled. My e-mails are for work, so if I read them at home, I want them to show as unread on the other mac when I go to work, so that I don´t forget which e-mail are new and not.
Please help me out here if anybody knows how and why this suddenly happened!
    Thanks
    -Cathrine

What you're describing is the nature of IMAP e-mail. All of your messages are stored on the IMAP server, and it is the "master copy." When you read a message with one computer, it gets marked as read on the server. When the other computers contact the IMAP server, they update themselves to reflect the status of the messages stored on the server. Also note that the same holds true for any messages that you delete. Once a message is deleted from the server, it will be deleted from all of your computers.
This is very different from POP e-mail. POP does not provide any mechanisms for changing the status of a message on the POP server.
There is, however, one big advantage to IMAP that you can use here. IMAP supports folders on the server for storing messages (POP does not). The default folder is the Inbox. You could create another folder (for example, "Reviewed"), and move messages to that folder after you read them. That way, anything you leave in the Inbox is still "waiting for me to act on it," while anything you have moved to the Reviewed folder is "already acted on." The messages in each folder will be automatically synchronized on all of your computers.
After you first create the new folder, you might need to choose the "Synchronize All Accounts" option under the "Mail" menu on each computer, to make sure it knows about the new folder. You'll only need to do that once.

  • Disabling Javascript in Mail.app

Does anyone know if it's possible to disable embedded javascript in mail messages? There seems to be a good amount of spam getting through lately that uses javascript to force images to load automatically, and I'm a bit uneasy about that!

I think you want to disable HTML...check that your Mail preferences are set to protect your computer by not displaying remote images.
    MAIL/Preferences/Viewing...uncheck Display Remote Images...

  • Disabling hyperlinks in Mail

I have set up managed accounts for the kids in which I would like them to have e-mail access but not Safari or IE access. Although the applications priveledges works, there is a loop hole. If somebody sends a hyperlink in an e-mail, the browser will open even though it is not allowed for that account. Once the browser is open, the user can navigate to any other site. Is there any way I can close this hole by either not linking to a browser or rejecting e-mails that have a hyperlink?

Try to log onto your mail account via the browser. I cannot make any sense out of what your provider stated. Should you have login problems via the browser, chances are they have changed your password and not passed on the information.  Try calling your provider again and request a new password. You can apply the new password in the account preference within mail.
Csound1 is right about mail not having password protection. Its security, is the security provided by SL. The only reason for passwords in mail is for connection to another system. If this is truly the response they gave you, it was a nice "song and dance". Disabling your password would absolutely deny you access to your mail, so how could you download your mail if you cannot get access to your account? Call back up and hopefully you will get someone who has knowledge.
