Disabling items on change of tab

Hi,
I have a form with a bunch of tickbox options along the top and a tabbed canvas along the bottom. Depending on which tab the user is on I need to enable/disable various tickboxes.
Sounds easy - however where I've run into trouble is if the current item is one the tickboxes as you cannot disable the current item. The problem is I cannot go_item either from the when-tab-page-changed trigger because then the tab doesn't get changed...
Does anyone have a solution? Am I missing an obvious option?

You can use GO_ITEM and use an item on the tab-page you want to navigate to, something like

This PRCTR field is stored in VBAP (i.e., SO line item table)

Can I change the default color of a disabled item from gray to something else? I've tried to put style="color:darkblue" in the HTML form element attributes but it didn't worked.

I've not read the paper but the word 'Loop' in your post got me worried about whether the solution is the most appropriate. I'm sure it's valid for the requirements in the paper but it looks like here all fields have to be set to the same colour. In that case it's more appropriate to assign a Visual Attribute to all fields and change the properties of that one object.

Hi,
i'm unable to change the tab color of panelTabbed item, i've tried the following in a css sheet:

font style and background image seems to work (which tells me that i have the right skin selector) but non of the rest is changing the color of the tab.
does anyone knows how to do that???????
Note that when i say tab i mean the tabs header, where you click on it and it opens the tab body.

best tip I can give is:
Disable content compression for the generated HTML output of the ADF Faces page. This will change the style class names from being obfuscated, which we use to reduce the download size of pages. Astyle class that shows as .x3s at runtime might show as af_inputText_content after this. The af_inputText_content then is waht you need to discover and translate into a valid skin selector.

Run the ADF Faces application you want to discover the skin selector for in FF with Firebug and the WebDeveloper plugin installed.
Select the tab and look at the skin selectors displayed as the style class properties. If you find someting like af_panelTabbed_tab then this translates to af|panelTabbed::tab. If you see something like .p_selected then this means its a pseudo class that needs to be appended to the selector like af|panelTabbed::tab:selected.
Use Firebug in inspect mode and select the tab. This shows you all the selectors as style classes in the generated HTML output. Open the Web Developer plugin to edit CSS on the page. Then add the style class selector you found, e.g. .af_panelTabbed_tab (note the leading dot ".") or with a curly brace

Within the cury braces, type the CSS you want to set and see how it behaves. You may have to play a bit to exactly find the style class and css you want, but assuming that the follwing works
.af_panelTabbed_tab .p_selected{background-color:red}
then this translates to teh following skin selection to be copied to the CSS skin file
af|panelTabbed::tab:selected{background-color:red}
Note that this backward translation from style class to skin selector needs some patience. However, experience proves to be the best when cooking and so it does for skinning.

i created a Sales order which includes BOM explosion under which i am trying to seek Assembly order no under Item -- schedule lines-- procurement tab.
currently i am not getting any such data in the particular screen at all.
can anyone suggest if any IMG activity is missing which needs to be configured for geeting the same(assembly order entry inside sales order screen.)

Just try once as below.
Do not create it as a BOM material first of all.
For the Main-item, change the Item category group in the Material master to "0001" and save.
Ensure the Item category assignment in VOV4 as
Order type + Item category group (e,g. 0001) -
> Item category (TAK).
Now, create the new order for the Main-item, manually add the sub-items in the sales order, specify the "Hgh level item number" (item number of the main item) > click enter > save.
Now, in VA02, check schedule line > Procurement tab.

Adding item data in Product tab for sales contract (crm_order_maintain)

Hi, can I use crm_order_maintain to add line items under the product tab for a sales contract while creating or modifying an order. Is there any sample code to add the line items, I could look at. I tried calling this FM from my custom tab and then called CRM_ORDER_SAVE but that did not add the line item. I guess I need to call it from the order_save badi and then call the crm_order_save FM as well from within the BADI. If someone could send me some sample code then I can double check if I am missing something.Am I on the right track to be using this FM for adding a line item under the product tab for the sales contract? Maybe if you're not working with Contracts, the procedure is not properly correct.
I suggest to put a break-point into crm_order_maintain and try to add the Item manually.
If you reproduce exactly the standard, I'm shure it will work.

How to change the tabbing order of an array of clusters? I have the cluster arranged in table in the front panel. The cluster element goes horizontal and array element goes vertically. When I press the tab key, the cursor goes to the next array element instead of the next cluster item (down instead across).

Item Description change at marketing Document

Hi experts ,
I have a typical scenario . Let me describe in detail .
For example --
For Customer A - Item A is called as Apple
For Cusotmer B - Item A is called as Banana
Similarly Customer C......D,E......
And user need that information at marketing document .
My initial though that when I do SO - I will change item description useing Ctrl +tab feature and issue will be solved . But Typing has created a lot of issue . So I need to make it automatic .
If I select customer A , Item A ....It identifies Item Description should be populate as Apple
Similiarly
If I select customer B , Item A ....It identifies Item Description should be populate as Banana
As of now , Apple , Banana is not stored anywhere .. I can utilise UDF or UDT ....
Can you throw some light on this scenario ?

Please try this
U can change the item code for every BP in Documents according to your need
Use the functionality of BP catalog number
Inventory > Inventory management > BP catalog number
Here u can set catalog according to item per BP and also BP per item
For example u have 10 items that are named differently for 10 BP
First select the item tab select one of 10 item in header level
And all 10 BP in row level name them under BP catalog no.
After that do that for rest of nine item
When u want this functionally to work
Open the document in which you want to change name according to BP
Like all sale doc or purchase doc .
In form setting in document tab go to general tab and check Display BP Catalog Number
Do the changes after selecting the item in document other wise only those item will appear for which u have given catalog No for that BP
Tell me if it does not work

Table Control Variant For ME21N - Item level - account assignment tab.

Dear All,
I want to change Table Control Screen that is in Me21n(Service PO)>Item level> Account Assignment tab -> Table control.

I have a requirement to making the following field non editable Ship Confirm Rule+ in Order Management-->"Release Sales Orders"-->"Shipping" tab
I tried to achieve this using form personalization using the below condition and action

Trigger Object - RELEASE.DOC_NAME
Condition - :RELEASE.PICKING_RULE is not NULL
Processing Mode - Both
Action Type - Property

I could see the field becomes non editable but when i navigate to "Release Sales Orders"-->"Shipping" tab and press tab button on the field "Trip" I am getting the below error

Even i have tried with the following Property Names set to " FALSE " but still the field is able to editable

Disable Items in User Interface - Custom

I have been looking through the Control Identifier/Policy ID number from the spreadsheets below.

I have been unable to find the following item in order to remove it using group policy. Can someone tell me definitively if it does not exist and if it does what is the correct ID in order to disable it through User Configuration->Administrative
Templates->Microsoft Outlook 2010->Disable Items in User Interface->Custom.
Under Tasks, New Task, Assign Task there is a check box next to "Send me a status report when this task is complete" that I want to remove.

Sorry, based on my knowledge and test, there is no corresponding policy ID to disable this checkbox.
In addition, I searched around and found that this setting should correspond to the following registry key:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\14.0\Outlook\options\Tasks

Item state change events - notification not recd when run on nokia phone

I have a Form which implements ItemStateListener and its registered to receive item state change events. The Form has a text field which needs to be enabled/disabled based on certain ChoiceGroup element being selected. The code works fine on emulator, however I don't receive event notification in itemStateChanged() on series 60 nokia devices when a new ChoiceGroup element gets selected. Has anyone faced a similar problem? Is there any solution for this? The profile used in my project is CLDC 1.1 and MIDP 2.0.

I faced a similar problem on Motorola ROKR E6. Turned out that ItemStateListener was working only as long as the first form to be displayed remained current -- once I setCurrent another Form, the app stopped responding to itemStateChanged.
The workaround I adopted was to remove Items from the Form and add new Items, giving the illusion of the next form being displayed. It would be interesting to know whether that works for you and whether anyone has faced the same problem with any other handset.
I have subsequently come to know that Motorola have marked my bug report as "solved" -- but have not offered me any option to update my handset with a bug-free version.
btw, calling setConstraints on a TextField can throw a NullPointerException. My workaround for that was to setText("") in the itemStateChanged in lieu of setConstraints (TextField.UNEDITABLE).
