Hi friends,
How to display a running time inside the application, like in the below link

that is with a day, month year and with a running time inside the application soon after login to the application.....

    Hello Experts,
    I an using fusion 11.1.2.1 32 bit. I have Copied the Icons as well as GIF files in C:\Oracle\Middleware\Oracle_FRHome1\forms\java folder.
    At button property i set Iconic to yes
    and file = addrow
    Icon not display at run time.
    but when i set file = abc.GIF
    image is displaying at run time.
    My doubt is that ICO file not displaying at run time while GIF file are displaying.
    Do i need to change configuration ?

    First Try this steps
    To resolve this issue, follow these steps:
    Double-click My Computer, and then click Options on the View menu.
    Verify that the Icon file type appears on the File Types tab. If the Icon file type does not appear in the Registered File Types box, skip to step 10.
    Click Icon in the Registered File Types box, and then click Edit.
    Verify that the following settings exist, and then click OK:
    The Description Of Type box contains Icon.
    If there is a Confirm Open After Download check box, it should be selected.
    If the settings do not appear exactly as listed in step 4, click Remove, click Yes, and then click OK. If the settings do appear as listed in step 4, skip to step 10.
    Click New Type.
    In the Description Of Type box, type Icon.
    In the Associated Extension box, type ICO.
    Click OK, and then click Close.
    Use Registry Editor to view theHKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.icokey, and then verify that the default string contains the following value:icofileIf the .ico key does not exist, create it, and then insert the value listed above. If any other values exist in the .ico key, delete them.

    Copy your images to:

    1. Create a “icons” folder and place all your gifs in there
    i.e. “c:\Oracle\Middleware\as_1\forms\java\<icons>”
    2. From within icons folder make a jar file of all the gif images:

    3. Copy this new jar into “c:\Oracle\Middleware\as_1\forms\java\”
    4. Edit/update formsweb.cfg file:

    I have a CD that came with my Algebra book (I bought it used) for Technical School and it keeps displaying Scrip run-time error when I try to open it.  I have updated Quick-time player, just in case that was the problem.

    Hi - Is there a way to embed an mp3 (Quicktime by default) and get it to display the running time with a count-up timer?
    Users of my site need to be able to reference particular parts of my audio file - e.g. "Go to 0:45".

    Welcome to the Apple Discussions. You'll have to use a flash player that displays the running time. Roddy's iWeb for Musicians site has a number of them on the Music Players page that might serve your purposes.
    Another possibility would be to open the audio file with Quicktime Player and save a s movie file. Then add the file to the server and link to it as done in this demo page: Opening Item in a New, Precisely Sized Window. That will give you exactly what you want. This method is easier to implement than a flash player unless you use the jutebox for all the audio files. However it will require visitors to have Quicktime installed on their computer.

    Is it possible to set the number of records displayed block property at run time? The built-in 'GET_BLOCK_PROPERTY' can retrieve the number of RECORDS_DISPLAYED. But I can't find SET_BLOCK_PROPERTY to set this property. Is there anyway I can set this property programmatically? Thanks for any suggestions!

    Block property 'Number of Records Displayed' can not be changed during runtime
    using SET_BLOCK_PROPERTY. However, it is still possible programmatically change
    the visual appearance of the form so that it creates effect of changing this
    property. To achieve such an effect follow these steps:
    1. in Forms Builder, in the multirecord block define the new set of items.
    The simplest way is to copy/paste the original item and rename created item.
    2. set properties of these new items so that they are the same as the properties
    of the original items. If these new items were copied from original items
    then properties are already the same. Modify following properties
    'Database item' on new items to value 'No'
    'Synchronize with item' to the value of the original item
    'Number of Items Displayed' to desired value.
    'Visible' to 'No'
    In other words, these new items are mirrors of original items.
    3. code event, which is meant to trigger the change in block appearance.
    This code should use SET_ITEM_PROPERTY built-in to set properties

    What happened?                                                                               
    In the current application program, the system recognized a situation

    What can you do?                                                                               
    Print out the error message (using the "Print" function)

  • Only first plot of waveform chart has run-time menu

    Hello again all you helpful forum-goers!
    My multi-plot waveform chart is working decently well, but now for some reason only the first plot in the plot legend displays a run-time customization menu when I click on it while the VI is running (allowing me to select the plot color, etc.).  All the other plots do nothing when I click on them.  I do not have any mouse-down events or filter events of any kind in my VI.  I programmatically set the number of plots and the size of the plot legend, along with each plot's name, y index, and color.  Any ideas as to what might be going on?

    Okay, hopefully this will help get some more thoughts / answers flowing.  I've copied my strip chart from my actual VI into a test VI, and it still exhibits the problem.  On the other hand, I have created a new strip chart from scratch, and it works fine.  I have attached both VIs here for you to see.  My guess is that some property of the first chart is set incorrectly or something, but I cannot figure out which one (and there are so many!).
    Any assistance you can give would be appreciated. The challenge is to get the chart in the first VI working (plots other than the first responding to a mouse click to change their color or other attributes), via changing some attribute of the chart (and being able to tell me which one you changed!).

  • Enter run time in hours / mins / secs on the front pannel

    I am trying to get a pop up VI to run alongside my main program. While the measurment parts of my software run I want a VI to pop up and display the run time in hours / mins / secs. Once the main VI ends its sequence, I want the timer VI to close down again. It sounds easy and maybe it is, but can I get it to work ........... HELP !!

    I have created an example program for you (in LV 6.0). Basically a time window will popup at the start and show the runtime (calculated, so starts at 0 hours), and when you stop the Main vi the time window will close. The time is updated at every loop of the Main vi. All of this is achieved through VI server as you will see.

    i have written a code to read a txt file ,i used FileReader to read a file . the code is working well for small txt files. but when i tried to read a large file(greater than 2MB), a run time error called "java.lang.OutofMemoryError" appeared .
    plz suggest the methods to read txt files of large capacity(greater than 25MB) .if possible give an example.

    i am new to java programming .i am a student persuing B.Tech final semester .i got struck in my project while reading a large txt file(greater than 3MB) . i am now giving a part of code that i had used in my project .it working fine with the txt files less than 3MB ,but when i am treing to read a file greater than 3MB , it is displaying a run time error "java.lang.outofmemoryerror"
    i have tried using "java -Xmx" ,it is working , but is there any better option ??

  • Displaying different sheets at run time based on value of the parameter

    Hi,
    I've a query regarding displaying two different sheets at run time in Oracle discoverer based on the value of the parameter that i give.
    I've a parameter Summary_flag.
    If the value of the parameter is 'Y',then it should display a sheet,say for example it should display Sheet1.
    If the value is 'N',then it should display another sheet, say for example it should display Sheet2.
    Is there any way in which i can accomplish this?
    I went through the Format and Tools menus but couldnt find anything regarding this aspect.
    Can you help me out?

    Having a Disco parameter dictate which worksheet is displayed is not an option that is available. There are a few workarounds, though:
    1. Have a portlet (or some other web interface) accept your parameters, and then call the appropriate worksheet.
    2. Have 2 worksheets, and have it devolve into a training issue (for a summary run this, for all the details run this).
    3. Create calculations that will show or hide column data depending on the parameter selected - the columns will still be there, and you can fill them in with blanks, or a message like "N/A for Summary".
    4. Create a report that will allow the users to drill between the summary and detail data - I'm not sure whether you could use a parameter to then say whether the report should open up summarized or expanded.

  • Images are not displaying in the forms run time.

    I am using forms 10.1.2.3.0 and database 11g in the windows XP platform.
    I am not able to see the images in the buttons at the run time. I have done the following setup for the same but still I am not able to display images in the buttons. I have gone through all the previous threads for the same. Can any body suggest where I am doing the wrong?
    1) Created one JAR file with the below command putting all the gif files in a folder (All the GIF files are in lower case). Kept this jar file in the forms/java folder. (When I am extracting the JAR file getting all the gif files and one more folder META-INF).

    2) Modified the formsweb.cfg file as follows.
    imageBase=codeBase
    archive_jini=frmall_jinit.jar,icon.jar
    3) In the buttons property Iconic = Yes and Iconicfile name = icon_print (gif file name).
    4) Modified the Registry.dat file in the path "forms\java\oracle\forms\registry\Registry.dat" as follows.
    default.icons.iconpath=forms/java
    default.icons.iconextension=gif
    Start the OC4J instance, and run the application, but still not able to see the images in the buttons. After I modified the regedit file I am able to see the images in the design time but not in the run time.
    Any thing more needed to do the same. All the suggestions are welcome.

                  Regarding the skip/force pass/force fail options, when I set the ControlExecFlow to True in Teststand 3.1 and 3.5, in the Sequence Editor the menu options for skip/force pass/force fail are not active for Technician but, when I launch the Operator Interface logged with Technician the options are active. The problem is that if the technician sets one step to one of these options, and change the user to Operator, the test step remains skip/force pass.
                  Is there any possibility without modifying the Operator Interface (at programming level), to reload default values of the steps when changing the user to Operator?

Once it completes the background processing, the same page displays the result. At this time I want to hide the progress indicator.
