Display HTML data on RTF Template - EBS R12

Hi,
I have a requirement where I would like to display the data from a Rich text format to a XML Publisher report Output.
The XML Tag is currently showing all the HTML tags in its data.
Please can anyone help as too how can I display the HTML data on the RTF output.
EBS Version - R12.1.3

Above is my data
I have to fetch the record_type from a lookup where I can have any of the record type, sometime USES, HOW TO USE, SIDE EFFECTS and sometimes some other set of record types
In my report I have to get these record typpes as field name dynamically whichever is available in that lookup and record values against them.
its a BI Publisher report.
please suggest

if you have data in db then you can create xml with needed structure
and so you can create bip report
do you have errors or .... ?

Report XML output fail to load into .RTF layout [EBS r12]

Hi,
In EBS r12, we have requirement to have a standard report output in excel.
I got the report's xml output to create the xml template (.RTF layout) using BI Publisher.
I created the .RTF layout and it works fine on my laptop using Bi Publisher.. the xml loads into it and i can preview xml data on layout with all format (Excel, PDF...)
I uploaded the layout to EBS, and assigned it to the standard report.
I changed standard report out put to XML
When i go to submit report request, the template is assigned with report and everything seems correct.

But after i run the report.
The report is Completed with Warning status.. and output is only XML with Error message :

The Log file says :

Why this is happening ? i have done this many times with other standard reports and it worked fine.

How to find OPP log file?
To investigate on XML issues or other publishing problems, often the OPP logfile is needed.
OPP stands for Output Post Processor. Below are the steps to find log file
1. Login to the application as SYSADMIN
2. Responsibility: System Administrator
3. Function: Concurrent --> Manager --> Administration
4. Select the Output Post Processor
5. Click on the Processes button
6. Select the Concurrent Process which was active during the time that the request ran
7. Click on the Manager Log button to open the Output Post Processor log file

Changing HTML head in RTF template?

Hello everybody,
I have a question concerning RTF templates and BIP's HTML output: Is it possible to add information to the <head> section of HTML pages generated by BI Publisher when creating the RTF template? And if it is, can somebody tell me how to do it?

Instead of showing my report, BIP displays the following error message: +"element Header is not supported yet."+

Use report to display html data

Hi
I have multiple rows of text in a clob field that contains html tags. I want to display this data in html format in my htmldb application. Can I use an htmldb report to do this or am I better off using an item?

I have a form that allows users to add raw HTML code. Now I want to display the formatted version in a report but the tags show in the report instead...any suggestions?

Displaying HTML data in the xml report

can anybody help me out on how to display the HTML data in XML report, for example the data in the table is in the following format with HTML tags attached to it
*<b>Test Good display as normal text<b>*
+<i>Test Italicized <i>+
i would like to display the above data in the XML report as a following with "Test Good display as normal text" as BOLD and "Test Italicized" as Italicized

Data Source number for EBS R12.1.2 (OBIA 7.9.6.2)

When using R7.9.6.2 with EBS R12.1.12 what should be the data source number?
ORA_R1211 is 26 in the 7.9.6.1 docs, the same are packaged with 7.9.6.2 docs too?
What should be used with ORA_R1212?

I verified this was a big in 7.9.6.2 docs and Oracle recommends use of 27 for R12.1.2
using a standard (or Oracle recommended) data source number eliminates issues when you combined data from multiple EBS instances with different releases.

How to Sort Date in RTF template

in my report i have name, date_arrival, Time_arrival, Hotel. I created a report grouped by hotel. On the screen it's working OK. when I print yusing RTF created template, the date is not sorted as expected.

I have read much about date formating. I think some of the functionality in to_chat and to_date is changing between versions. I don't know that this is the simplest way, but it is the only way that worked for me:
<?sort: xdoxslt:format_date (ssPrimaryRevenueCloseDate,’ yyyyMMDD’, ’MM/DD/yyyy’,’Europe/London’,’GMT’)?>
I do not understand why this function is not in the documentation.

Query on fetching the no.of days between Invoice date and due date in rtf template embedded BI Publisher Report

We have a requirement to fetch the value of 'No of days' between Invoice date and due date (Two variable date fields on the template) in an Analysis.

This function provides a method to get the difference between two dates in the given locale. The dates need to be in "yyyy-MM-dd" format. This function supports only the Gregorian calendar. The syntax is as follows:

format is the time value for which the difference is to be calculated

How to Display Page Numbers in RTF Template

Greetings to all,
We have a requirement in which we have to display the Page numbers on the output PDF.
The scenario is , if the PDF contains10 pages,then on Pages , it should show Page 1/10,Page 2/10 etc.
And If the output exceeds to more than 1 page, then on each page except the last one it should display "Continued" in the footer.
Any comments on this would be of great help.

I have emailed you back the modified template, I have changed the following:
What have I done in the template then?
* Moved the Group: G_HEADERS place holder inside the <?start:body?> place holder.
* Inserted a Section Break (Next Page) after the <?end body?> place holder for the main report. This creates what looks like a 3rd page
* Added <?start@last-page-first:body?><?end body?> as the only thing on the 3rd page. The resets the headers and footers for the last page, so we need to declare the headers again. If the last page is actually the first page, then the first page will take the formatting of the last page.
* Removed the "continued" from the Native Word footer and put it underneath the <?end body?> placeholder of the main template on page 2

Display of image in rtf template

Hi,
I have a tag in my xml file like
<ImageDistributeur>IMAGE:D:\EXPLOIT_UNPMF\Edition\Image\L29004G.tif</ImageDistributeur>
and the image is stored in the particular location specified inside the tag.
The xml file doesnt contain the image...
My question is how can i use the tag and get the image in the template.
I dont want to embed the image directly into the template as it is a dynamic logo...
so i have to use the xml tag.
but if use the above <ImageDistributeur> tag... its obvious that the text inside the tag only will be printed...
Is there any other way to get the image from the path specified ..if so please guide me in this issue.

Data of one group not getting displayed (in rtf template)

We have build one rtf template it has 2 sectrions one is main section where data is being displayed with out any issues.
where as for Sub section data is not getting displayed though there is data in xml file
1) Main section

2) Sub section at the end of page
