Oracle Alerts not working

I am working in Vision instance. Release 12.1.1
I configured an event alert on Standard PO insert or update by following the given guide lines in the Oracle Alerts User Guide.
I have created a PO and updated it for 10 times but the alerts action has no effect.
Kindly help me in this regard.

Hi,
1.Check that ur query returns any row.
2.Check what email id you have given in the to address in the alret.
3.Check whether the email notification of the workflow is up and running.
4.Check what default email address is there.
If all fine then try to run the alert by submitting request and check it.

Dear All,
Oracle Alert was working on Oracle e-Business Suite 11.5.10 with Postfix server. But now
we changed to MS exchange server instead of postfix server then onwards the alert is not working. I done the configuration according to MS Exchange server, inbound/outbound Server Name/reply-to-Address/added relay host.
Test Notification Mailer is working fine, but the alert is not working.

I done the diagnostic test got this warning

If the 'EMAIL_ADDRESS' profile option has not been created, or if its value is null, Oracle Alert uses the operating system userid or the application username of the user who triggered the event, depending on the value set for the 'Default User Mail Account' option in the Oracle Alert Options form.
When I done the oracle alert test it completed with normal. but not sending the mail.

Periodics Oracle Alerts not working

Dear All,
we are using Oracle11.5.10.2 on AIX 5.3 and Oracle Schedule Alerts are not working ,we need to schedule manually ,what will be the issue.
we scheduled every day once but it is not running on schedule time.

Oracle alert not working in 11i but working on R12 on same server

Hi Friends,
I have an R12(R12.1.1) Instance and I configured Oracle Alert with the following details
Mail systems : Windows NT Mail
Mail Database/Server Name: server1
Send Mail Account/password : wf/wf
Response Mail Account/password: wf/wf
Enable Response Processing:no
Workflow mailer is working and I tested a sample Oracle Alert and it works fine.I received mail also.
I also have a 11i (11.5.10.2) instance on the same server and i configured the alert options exactly as i did for R12 and the workflow mailer is also running but the alert is throwing error:
APP-ALR-04124: Oracle Alert was unable to deliver your message
To <mail id>
Apps Version : 11.5.10.2(Default Installation,No patches applied)
Server OS : Red Hat Linux ES 4.4
Mail server : Exchange 5.5 on windows
Both the instances are on the same server.
what is the change needs to be done on 11i compared with R12(R12.1.1)which is working fine.

Why are my alerts not working?

Why are my alerts not working? Sometimes the alerts work and other times I have to manually retrieve messages.

You can set alerts at verizonwireless.com, and you can set alerts on most smartphones as well, and those can be highly customized as to when you are alerted.
Go to settings, data usage, and there are/should be options to view, limit, and alert you as to your mobile data usage on the phone itself.

6300 & Lotus Notes - Calander Alert Not Working

Hi I have an O2 6300 & Lotus Notes ( v6 )and the phones calander alert not working / going off when it should.
I've not changed any thing that I am aware of from the defaults and its less than a week or two old so I'm hoping its not a software OS bug and a user issue / some thing I have to switch on some where.
Can any one help me ?

OEM 9i Alerts not working

Hello, i am trying to get OEM to alert me when a specified user log on to the database. I set up an event ans specify a user audit and a specific user. I then log into the database and no alert is sent out. Any ideas why this is not working. The event shows as registered status. I have is scheduled to run every 5 minutes.

IPhone 6 Plus LED alert not working.

I have always used the iPhone's LED flashing alert to notify me when I get a call or text message. While I was on iOS 8 Beta 2-4 it was working fine. I did a clean install of the complete iOS 8 release and ever since then, the flash alert doesn't work.
Sometimes it will work on incoming calls, but will not work on text messages. I've tried soft/hard rebooting, clean wipe and fresh installs, and pretty much anything in between. Now, today I got my 128GB Gold ATT iPhone 6 Plus, and it's the same thing. Updated to iOS 8.1, reset everything/deleted all contents and settings. Both fresh install, and iCloud backups and still no alerts on text messages, but now I get them on calls. I tried my girls ATT 128GB iPhone 6 and she has the same problem too. My old phone was a 64GB iPhone 5S and hers was a 32GB iPhone 5. Everything was good until the official release of iOS 8.
I've tried searching for related issues, and haven't found anything since 2011 with a quick Google search. Most links just tell you how to turn the flash alert on but no new issues. All of my devices are on iOS 8.1. I gave my father my 64GB 5S with a clean install and he still has the issue as well. So, that makes my iPhone 6 Plus, my girls iPhone 6 and my fathers iPhone 5S not flashing LED on messages and sometimes calls. There aren't any custom vibrations enabled on any if the devices. Has anyone else experienced this problem? Is it a known bug or am I just not doing something right here? i never had an issue before the iOS 8 release. Any help would be appreciated.

Custom DB authentication to an application from Oracle Portal not working.

Hi All,
We have a Portal customized and integrated to LDAP for SSO.
From the portal, we have a link that takes to another custom application that requires another level of authentication. We have implemented this authentication as custom Database based authentication.
When user login to the portal and access this link, he will be directed for authentication again. This custom application has been installed on a different OC4J instance while Oracle Portal is running in a different OC4J instance.
Issue is though user details are being propagated to the custom application page, we are receiving an error saying authentication failed.
In the OC4J instance specific for this custom application, we have configured jazn.xml to use custom authentication.
Below is the code:

Ringtones and BBM alerts not working

Hi, I have created several custom ringtones and phone alerts on both mine and my husbands new BB 9320's . These were working just fine for the first few weeks but now the custom BBM alerts will not work on my phone but the custom ringtones do work. Instead of the custom alert I've selected the alert sound for the normal profile is the one that sounds. However the custom alerts DO work for text messages ! Just not BBM !
My husbands phone has the exact opposite problem, BBM alerts work, ringtones don't !
The problem seems to have happened after I had installed some various Apps . So I uninstalled all those apps and I've done both a soft reboot and battery pull on each phone trying to fix this. I also deleted those contacts and their custom alert set-ups and re-added everything from scratch, rebooted again, still nothing. It's been like this for a few weeks now, I just can't figure it out . Please help !

Sound alerts not working in Mail and Ichat apps since upgrade to 10.4.9

I just noticed my Sound alets not working in Mail and Ichat apps since upgrade to 10.4.9.
I'm using soundsticks which is playing sounds thru quicktime, itunes, etc but my alert sounds for getting new emails and IM messages is not working. I get the quick "white flash" on the screen instead. I checked the prefs on both apps and it is set to give me the alert sound, I can even test it in the ichat pref when I change the new message alert sound it will play it thru my speakers but when I get a new message in either app it just gives me the white flash.
I'm read that it can be an issue of not having the balance in the system sound pref set the middle, so I checked that, restarted, all that but still no luck.
I really like the sound alert features because I can be in another part of my house, turn the sound way up and I'll know when one of my clients is trying to reach me but now I can't do that.
Any ideas?

ORACLE tags not working after 1.5.1 patch

I have some logic in my template the looks up information from some Oracle tables. This logic worked fine in 1.5.0, however, after applying the 1.5.1 patch it does not perform the Oracle logic, but shows the Oracle code as HTML on the page. Your removal of functionality in a bug fix has broken a production application for us. This does not seem like something that should have been done with a "patch"
I have just read all that I can find on "shortcuts" and am not finding what I need.
Here is what we are doing:
We are using RoboHelp for our help content. We have a help icon and a help link on the header of the page. This is defined in our template. We have to have the name of the module (Page Alias) to link the page being run to the help content for that page. Since you do not have a system variable for page name or page alias, I have had to put this information into an Oracle table. I was looking that up with a function within the Oracle Tags.
Can I create a shortcut that would create the following code pl/sql code into a PL/SQL function body:

Alerts not working when formula is in the cell

I am having a problem where my alerts are not working in the preview mode. They work fine when I hard code the alert range. But I need the alert to change under differnt conditions and I am using an IF statement
the formula is simple
=IF('TXF Inputs'!D27=3, C34/2, C34)
output is either 0.375 or 0.375/2 = 0.1875
if i hardcode the cell with either of these values the alert works, but it does not work with the formula. The confusing part is that I have other alerts that have IF statements in them and they all work.
They also work fine in the main screen, ie it shows yellow if my default values =0.1875, but then when I preview or publish they don't work

E52 msg alerts not working

            Hi, I bought a nokia e 52 phone on 7th october.my phone was fine for the first few weeks nd then the message alerts stopped working.The problem is the message is recieved in the inbox but the phone does not show that it has recieved a message.This is happening in all profiles.If it is in general and outdoor profiles there is no response from the phone,even in silent it does not vibrate.To solve this problem t have to restart my phone everytime when this problem occours.this problem was not there for me before the software update.
             can any one help me out with this please.i have tried doing reinstallation of phone software with nokia software updater.But that dint solve my problem. one more problem is that phone gets hung up when i answer a call.My phone comes back to normal state after a while.hope nokia will soon give a software update nd resolve the problems.
             when i took it to nokia priority those guys were like evrything is fine.but still the problem persists.can any one help me out in this?

Do you have a very high no. of messages stored in the phone ? If so delete max. possible.. Incude all the sub-folders in the 'Messaging' folder..

Pantech Hotshot Alerts Not Working

I recently started using our son's Pantech Hotshot and cannot get the alarms and calender alerts to work. The volume is at max and there is a specific tone selected for each. I have taken out the battery and took off the vibration for the alerts. It still is not working. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks.
