Display Raw data image with JSF

Hi,
I have a raw data image in bytes and I need to display this image using JSF.
How to do?
Thanks
Jamil

The best approach is to use a servlet that gives you back an image, using setContentType("image/...") and setContentLength(...)

  • Simultaneously trigger and display two camera images with two frame grabbers

When I try to simultaneously trigger and display two camera images, each with their own frame grabbers, Labview is only able to display one of the images at a time.
    My hardware:
Two Sony XC-EU50 cameras (not in sync with each other)
    NI-1410
    NI-1405
    My Software:
Windows XP and Labview 7.1 with IMAQ
I connect each camera to its own frame grabber.  Both frame grabbers are in the same computer.  I input a trigger into each frame grabber.  Both trigger signals are identical.  Trigger rate is only 0.2 Hz.
I want to display and save both images at the same time.  The program i put together only displays one image at a time.  The image that is displayed alternates from one camera to the other.
    Please help with any suggestions.
    Thanks.

    Hi Shahab.
Without having triggered two cameras connected to two NI boards with LabVIEW yet: This shouldn't be a limitation in LabVIEW.
Updating two Image Display Indicators in one run of a while loop definitely works properly, so this cannot be the reason for the problem.
Your code uses the IMAQ Snap.vi. This VI is not reentrant, so the both instances of this VI on your block diagram cannot execute at the same time.
I could not find an appropriate example matching your scenario exactly. (Maybe someone else knows better?)
I recommend to have a look at the examples in the "IMAQ Signal IO.llb" and do some copy and paste to get a VI that satisfies your requirements.
The "Grab with two boards.VI" illustrates how to acquire images without using the not-reentrant "IMAQ Snap.VI".
    Hope this helps, Guenter

  • 0CALWEEK to be displayed in date format with start of week date

    Hello everyone,
I have a requirement wherein I want to display 0CALWEEK info object in the cube in date format with start of week date in the Bex query report. For example if 0CALWEEK is 23.2005 then in Bex report it should display as 06.06.2005. Anyone got any ideas if we can achieve this without adding any additional info object in cube itself ?
    many thanks,
    Neeraj

    Hi Neeraj,
There are multiple ways to achieve this.
    1. Virtual characteristics. This approach still requires having a placeholder of 0DATE type in the query, but you don't have to populate it in your load. This could slow down you query as well.
    2. Depending of the frontend you using you can run Excel macro (BEx) or Table exit (Web).
Please let me now if you need more details.

  • "Cannot Decode Raw Data" Message with Ebay

Regularly when i'm using Ebay Safari fails to load the web page with the following error:
Safari can’t open the page “http://my.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?MyeBay&gbh=1&&_trksid=m38&guest=1”. The error was: “cannot decode raw data” (NSURLErrorDomain:-1015) Please choose Report Bugs to Apple from the Safari menu, note the error number, and describe what you did before you saw this message.
This happens all the time on Ebay, but has never happened on any other website. Has anyone else run into this before? Any ideas what is the cause?
I am using a Macbook Pro with Leopard 10.5.4.

So, it's almost impossible to find anything on the 'net or on the Apple site regarding this problem. This puts a major cramp in my browsing activity as, in order to bookmark a page using delicious.com I would need to copy and paste everything into Firefox and go from there, bouncing back and forth between the two on a regular basis. Soooo, until then, I guess I will be giving Firefox a try.
This is another bug that could really use some immediate attention. It's affecting eBay and delicious, for sure. Who knows what else is being affected.

  • Image with foreign characters in name won't display

I have an image on my drive whose name has foreign characters ("cpia de frente.jpg"). To display the image my JSP reads the image name from the database and generates the following html:
<img src="../pictures/cpia de frente.jpg">The page then displays a broken image icon for this image. Images in the same list which do not have foreign chars get displayed accurately. When I choose "show image.." in my browser I see that the image name has been rewritten into the following: c%C3%B3pia%20de%20frente.jpg. The rewriting that will display the image is instead c%F3pia%20de%20frente.jpg. I found the correct rewriting on another of my JSP where the image with the foreign chars actually gets displayed correctly although the code to generate the html is the same on both pages and looks something like this (simplified):
    <logic:iterate id="listelement" name="list" property="rows" scope="request" type="org.apache.commons.beanutils.DynaBean">
    <%
    out.write("<img src=\"../pictures/"+listelement.get("name").toString()+"\">");
                             %>  <br>
</logic:iterate> Every image that doesn't have foreign chars in its name gets displayed accurately but images with foreign chars in their names won't display. What am I doing wrong?
    Thanks
    Niklas

Thanks, but it doesn't seem necessary to replace foreign characters. It works without replacing in one place but not in another which is confusing. I think it is something with the enconding but can't see what the difference is between the working and non-working code. In both pages I have put <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=iso-8859-1">I'd greatly appreciate any more suggestions to solve this problem.

  • Re: RAW format images in Aperture

I am STILL having problems displaying RAW format images in Aperture 3.1.2, they turn almost monochrome dark green after fully loading. No one seems to have an answer. Have seen a few postings on mac blog sites but no answers to the problem, so its not just me ! iPhoto does not have this problem, but would like to use the other editing facilities on Aperture. Am using a Sony A550, which IS on the Apple list of supported cameras !
Don't want to have to buy yet another photo editing software.

That definitely sounds like a bug, but I don't use that camera to be able to have a second (or is it third? ) verification of the problem.
Have you checked the console log to see if Aperture is choking on something? Not sure you'd be able to do anything with that information, but it might lead somewhere.
Other than that, the only thing I can suggest is including your camera model and "RAW" in the subject of a new post. I'm pretty sure the problem is with your camera's RAW format, as opposed to being a general Aperture problem. Maybe a more direct query would help get a better answer?

  • How to display raw, not ascii, bytes from serial port?

Hello, I have an instrument that outputs raw data, not ascii, bytes to a serial port.  How do you display raw data, not ascii, bytes from a serial port?  Since raw data bytes are not displayable, there is got to be something in labview to interpret/display the received bytes the way it is as data in HEX or Binary.  The STRING-TO-HEX and STRING-TO-BINARY functions are not applicable in this case because the bytes were not string type in the first place.  For example, if the receive byte is 0x4D, I need to display 4D in HEX or 77 in Decimal and not the ascii character "M" corresponding to 0x4D ascii code.  I am using a VISA-RD function currently to receive the data from a COM port.  VISA-RD outputs string type.  Thank for any feedback or suggestion in advance.

Of course they are string type, just not formatted in a human readable form. So, YES, these functions are not appropriate.

Dennis is right, but there is no "decimal" display for strings, so the second requirement needs a tiny little bit more code.
If you have a single byte string, you can typecast it into a U8 number and set the display format as decimal, hex, octal, or binary as desired. In decimal, it would display the number 77. Since it is now a numeric, you can even do math with it.
In general, the string has multiple bytes, and you would typecast it into an array of U8 numbers (Since this is an often used function, there is also a "string to byte array" which does the same thing).
Typecasting is the secret. You can e.g. easily typecast 2 bytes into a U16, 4 bytes into a I32, 8 bytes into a DBL,  etc. For more detailed requirements, there is also the "unflatten from string". Check the online help for details. Good luck!
