Displaying a photo obtained from SAP R/3  in a Web Application Module

Hi,
I am currently developing a Web Application Module (through NWDS) which displays details of employees (name, last name, picture, etc...) obtained from a RFC function module called remotely through SAP JCA connector.
I could obtain the picture passed through the RFC module, but now I need to displayed in a JSP page. I first start to look for a service which allows me to upload the picture to an application server cache as I have already done with
IWDCachedWebResource
in Web Dynpro development, but could not find anything alike. Then I tried to upload the picture to a relatively referenciable (Web Application) path, that I can use as a source for the IMG HTML tag, but I am just able to save the picture at the root directory of the application server (/usr/sap/SID/JC00/j2ee/cluster/server0) and this path can not (and must not) be referenced through my application JSP.
Please any help or workaround will be gladly welcome
Best regards,
Jonathan

Ravi,
We have tried the same from SOAP UI client also and it is not working,
same result as PI. But I repeat the Service is working from DOTNET applications.
If it is not working in SOAP UI then it will not work in PI also. I suggest you to re-import the WSDL in you .net application and check.

Ramesh

  • HOW COULD CONNECT FROM SAP SYSTEM TO THIRD PARTY JAVA APPLICATION

    HI expects,
            HOW COULD CONNECT FROM SAP SYSTEM TO THIRD PARTY JAVA or . DET APPLICATION.please provide me some scenarios and documents.please help me.

    Hi,
    In the sender side i.e. in SAP system you can use IDoc/RFC/Proxy to push the data to XI.
    IDoc supports only Async communication and in Sync case performace is good using Proxy.
    In the receiver side you can use Java Proxy to connect to the Java application or you can even bulid a webservice over the Java/.Net application and use SOAP adapter to post data to it.
    Thanks

  • How can I display my MS Outlook/Exchange 2010 Calendar events on my web application's calendar?

    I'm building a web (client) application (built in html/JavaScript/jQuery) that has a built-in calendar. I would like to pull in my Outlook/Exchange Calendar events
    and display them in my web application's calendar. What is the best way to do that from a JavaScript/jQuery environment? I've been searching all over for plugins or examples of how to talk to Exchange/Outlook and retrieve Calendar events but I haven't found
    a solution yet. We are currently using MS Office/Outlook/Exchange 2010. I don't need to modify the calendar events, just read them. (Note that I can't use an OWA Web Parts link
    to display the calendar in an iframe; I need to have access to the actual event data so I can include other UI elements that I need for my application.) Thanks
    in advance for the help!

    Hi,
    There's an old Java API for EWS, and you can access EWS with direct soap request to retrieve the data you want.

  • Conversion from SAP R/3 system to web dynpro abap.

    hi,
        Can anybody provide me with information on what all objects can be converted from an SAP R/3 system to a web dynpro ABAP application, nd hw??.

    Hi Girish,
    I don't understand your question completely. Is your question related to the Internet Transaction Server? If it is a Web Dynpro question, I can move this thread to the Web Dynpro forum. What do you think?

  • SAP Early Watch Report - Workload By Application Module

    I'm looking at the above part of the Early Watch Report and have been tasked with trying to figure out what programs/processes make up the various modules it is showing such as PY-US, PT-RC, PA,CATS, Unknown, etc.   Can somebody tell me where the system looks to determine what module a process falls in?  Is it something on the ABAP side or where?

    Hi,
    the data is taken from transaction ST03.
    Select <Expert Mode>. Select the application server and time frame of your choice. Afterwards select <Analysis Views | Transaction Profile | EarlyWatch>.
    This table shows all reports and transaction names, which where run in the system in the respective time frame. If you now choose <Aggregation | Application/Subapplication>, you should find a list which fits to the respective chapter in the report. By double-clicking on the specific application name you should also find a list with the according line items for reports and transaction names.

  • Passing parameters from VC 7.0 to BEx Web Application Designer (WAD) 7.0

    Hi,
    I cannot find any information on how to pass VC parameters to WAD 7.0.
    I read the document "How To…Integrate Visual Composer Applications and BEx Web Templates" but the steps refer to WAD 3.x which is different from WAD 7.x. If I copy - paste the code and make the right changes (like dataprovider etc), I still get many errors since (I assume) the code is DHTML which is not accepted by the XHTML editor in WAD 7.0. In the end of the document they do refer to a more recent version of WAD in which I have to drag-drop a script object from the pane and insert the highlighted JavaScript code. Even after doing this, I'm still stuck with the other code which is not accepted by the XHMTL editor at all.
    Is there anybody who tried this already and is able to provide me a short guide? It's quite important that we can get this thing working.
    Many thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Sven

    Hi Sven,
    the Web API 3.5 also works in 7.0, but is not official supported. The Web API is replaced with the BICS (BI Consumer Services). For Visual Composer you can use the web api I have done this several times. You can use dropdowns and so on in VC and pass the parameters to WAD for example for filling BI variables. For your requirements I can recommend to use the web api 3.5 reference guide for detailed description how to create the url commands.

  • Display timestamp for attachments in SAP UWL

    Hi all,
    We're using the SAP UWL (based on EP 7.3 EHP1) to display work items retrieved from SAP Business Workflows.
    Those work items contain attachments which are also displayed in SAP Portal within a table with following columns:
    Type
    Title
    Created On
    Created By
    We have now following questions:
    Can we format the shown date to also show the timestamp when the attachement was created?
    Can we sort (automatically) the attachment list that the latest attachment is shown on top of the list?
    regards
    René

    Dear René
    Regarding showing the timestamp along with the date, check the following documentation:
    Display Attribute - Configuring the Universal Worklist - SAP Library
    You can configure a displayattribute with type datetime, and use the format property to configure how you want it to be displayed.
    Regarding the sorting, please check the following one:
    View - Configuring the Universal Worklist - SAP Library
    The View allows you to define a sortby property, which you can use.
    Hope this helps
    Kind regards,
    Armando Zaro

  • Displaying a larger image from a thumbnail [was: Question]

    I would like to display a larger image from a thumbnail inserted on the web page. I inserted a rollover image, used the thumbnail as the original and a larger and different jpeg image as the rollover image. However, when the mouse rolled over the thumbnail, the new rollover image (different then the original) was the same size as the original. Is there an easier way to display a larger image from a thumbnail? What am I doing wrong? Thanks
    [Subject line edited for clarity by moderator]

    Could you also provide a CSS solution to opening a non _self page that is the same size as the image displayed on the page.
    Not possible with pure CSS.  Sorry.  Your best option is to use one of the jQuery Lightbox scripts mentioned below.

    Hi Friends,
    It it possible to call web service from SAP 4.6 c..If yes how
    Thanks in Advance.
    Murali Krishna K

    It is not possible to directly call a web service from SAP 4.6c.
    Indeed, web service enablement is available as from Web AS 6.20, thus as from SAP R/3 4.7
    So as described above, the solution is indeed to make use of PI(XI) for this.

  • Java App from SAP Portal - SSO2Ticket call - java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError

    Hi
    I am facing a problem in trying to call a java application from SAP portal.
    *Cause:*
    This java application is built on Unix (AIX) server. Previously it was running fine. Then there is a Tech Upgrade on SAP side in our company. After that I have been told to test whether the Java Application is getting called correctly or not.
    Error:
    I am getting the below error
    java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: com/mysap/sso/SSO2Ticket
    Also when I am checking the log entry all I am able to see, there is error in SSO2Ticket.verify() method and the error is
    Error during initialization of SSO2TICKET;       com/mysap/sso/SSO2Ticket.init(Ljava/lang/String;);
    Effort:
    I checked all possible aspects what ever came to my mind and found in this forum so far.
    1. com/mysap/sso this package is there.
    2. SSO2TICKET class defined in that package
    3. The JAVA_HOME and CLASSPATH are defined correctly ( I guess so)
    4. Even the "libsapsecu.o" file is present
    I am not sure why still this error is coming. Am I missing something here? Or what ever I have mentioned above 1-4 I am not getting them correctly.
    I am new to this kind of native call technology. Please help me on this.
    My concerns are :
    1. Is the package com/mysap/sso should be in a specific location, which I am missing.
    2. Do I need to revisit my CLASSPATH set up for JAVA?
    3. Is any change required to the libsapsecu.o file?
    4. Most of all what on earth can I do to overcome this?
    5. After Tech upgrade do they need to do some sort of thing to make the Java native call available, which they might have missed? Does any one aware of any such thing?
    Please let me know the answer asap.
    Thanks
    Santanu
    Code:
    I am also attaching the code snippet from JAVA

                   System.loadLibrary(SSO2TICKETLIBRARY);
                    logger.debug("SAPSSOEXT loaded.");
              } catch (Throwable e) {

                logger.debug("Ticket: "+ticket);
                logger.debug("PSE: "+pathToPSE);
              String[] ticketContent = null;
              logger.debug("The value for initialized is -
    >"+initialized);
                   try {
                        init(SECLIBRARY);
                   } catch (Throwable e) {

  • Clarification On the following from SAP/Crystal

    We need to clarify the following from SAP/Crystal:
    u2022     Background:
    o      The Application is an ASP.Net web aplication with  Crystal reports XI integrated.
    o     Some reports (templates) created in Crystal Reports 2008 deployed on the site
    o     This is working
    u2022     Need to understand
    *o     What new features of Crystal Reports 2008 will not work in this situation*
    *o     What existing features supported in Crystal Reports XI will no longer work for these templates*

    The Crystal .NET runtime you use is version XI or 2008? If it is 2008, then reports designed in 2008 should work fine. what may or may not work between XI -2008 is really depends on how your reports are designed. However it should mostly work as is.
    Check [CR 2008 release notes|http://help.sap.com/businessobject/product_guides/cr2008V1/en/xi3-1_cr_release_en.pdf] and [What's new in CR 2008|http://help.sap.com/businessobject/product_guides/cr2008V1/en/xi3-1_cr_whatsnew_en.pdf] where you can find more information on what may or may not work from CR XI to 2008.

  • Calling a SharePoint Web Service from SAP??

    Hi Everyone,
    I have been following the below link to call a SharePoint Web Service from SAP.
    Consuming Microsoft SharePoint Web Services in SAP using Basic Authentication
    But after entering the URL this pops up :
    and I enter my SAP username and password, then I get this error:
    But I have full SAP authorization.
    Please can someone advice or help on this problem.
    Thank you.

    Hi,
    It accepts WSDL files, but only using basic authentification. I had the same problem. Probably you have NTLM authentification. Check note 1441809 - Logon fails when using IIS and NTLM authentication
    Thanks,

  • Integrate SAP BI with third party Java application

    I want to display reports from SAP BI to third party java application. I have found many javadocs, but have not found any document that helps with this problem.

    Not much information provided.
    BO Version?
    Reports in question?
    There are different set of SDKs for different reports. Also there might be changes in the API's between different BO products.
    As suggested by Jawahar, its better if you post your query to SDK forum for better response as it is the dedicated forum for BusinessObjects Java SDK queries.
    Thanks,
    Prithvi
