Displaying data in REUSE_ALV_GRID_DISPLAY dynamically
Hi everyone,
I've been trying to figure out on how I can do this. I hope you could help me with my dilemma. I'm trying to display my itab. Here's the output I wanted.
EX:
myitab
lastname,
firstname,
mi,
loan name,
loan amt.
Suppossing one person has like 5 loans, this is how I wanted the output to be:
Lastname Firstname MI Loan Name1 Loan Name2 Loan Name3 etc....
DOE JANE Q. 500.00 1000.00 50.00
My question is, is this possible? I've been trying this out for the past 5 days and can't seem to find a solution with my dilemma. I hope someone would give me at least a sample code. Please help. Thank you so much.
Anna

Displaying data on a Dynamic page.
Hi,
I know i had asked a similar question before of creating a multiple record form. I was given an
answer that i could create a dynamic page. I am trying to create a dynamic page based on a table
but most of the fields that i will display on the form are non database fields like description
and all. All the fields will be display only.
On the Dynamic page content where we can write the pl/sql code and HTML Code i am under HTML code
creating a table because i need to show the data in the form of grid and inside oracle tag i have
open some cursors and all to get the value for my non database fields.
The problem i am facing is how to pass those values to the HTML table and display on the form.
Please Help.
Thanks,

How to display data in table with dynamic rows, section wise in a page.
Hello all,
I work on report creation in BI Publisher where I need to display data from xml in a table in pdf format.The output page is divided into two vertical sections , containing tables, with exactly same columns on left and right sections. The number of rows in table depends on the output of the fetching query. The page is to be populated in such a way that, at first, the left table is populated, then the next rows fill up the table on the right section of the page, if more rows are left, they fill up the tables on next page[first the left table, and then the right one, in a similar fashion as in page 1]
On a bird's eye view, the data needs to be simply mapped to a table, with dynamic number of rows, and so can span number of pages depending on size of data. On a implementation level, I am stuck in getting the left section of the page populated first, then the right section[in place of the right page], and then the next page.
Please guide me if someone has any idea in getting this achieved.
Thanks in advance.Thanks for the response...
I am able to get the desired functionality. I just need the tables to be inside a bigger table, that also has a dividing line between the two columns. This is was is intended in the req. provided to me. The column formatting option provides me a line ,but that is not further modifiable .Please help me in getting a perpendicular line between the two columns, which I need to be of a specified width and color. -
How to display dates dynamically in tabular form title
Hi,
I have a requirement of displaying dates of the week as title of each column heading in the tabular form dynamically (or) Is there a way to display the dates for each week as the titles for each column dynamically?Could anyone suggest me on this requirement?
Thanks & Regards,
Balaji.P.K.Hi Balaji,
if you want to be very generic than create a report based on a "PL/SQL Function returning SQL Query" and set the Report Column Headers to "PL/SQL" and specifiy a function returning the Header Titles.

Display Data from multiple models in one table
Hi Experts,
Is it possible to display data from multiple models in one table smltnsly.
I have created a table dynamically.Now I would like to display data from multiple models... If this possible,can anyone give me a lead as to how to do it..
Regards
SUHi
Your Model Nodes be
Model1
---Output_Model1
Attrib1
Attrib2
Model2
---Output_model2
Attrib1
Attrib2
and the value node is
ValueNode
---Attrib1
---Attrib2
Now the coding.
int size;
IPrivate<ViewName>.IOutput_mode1Node node1 = wdContext.nodeOuptut_Model1();
IPrivate<ViewName>.IValueNodeElement elem;
size = node1.size();
for(int i=0; i<size; i++)
elem = wdContext.createValueNodeElement();
elem.setAttrib1( node1.getOutput_Model1ElementAt(i).getAttrib1() );
elem.setAttrib2( node1.getOutput_Model1ElementAt(i).getAttrib2();
wdContext.nodeValueNode().addElement( elem );
similar code for Model Node 2

Hi,
i want to display data from data base in a tabular form, that is dynamic (the rows in UI is based on no.of records in data base) and one of data item is hyper link like
sno sname class
here sname is hyper link.
Thanx for ur helpHi..
Actually I dont get you clearly..
I can give you some answer based on my understanding of your question..
When you get the data from the database you can convert the each row of data into DTO's.. Finally you can get list of DTO's.
Then in the JSF page you can use <h:dataTable> tag to render the table format of the DTO info..
If I didnt clear your doubt, please explain your question clearly..

Display data in diagonally in table using XML publisher
Hi,
I need to display data of the invoice which contains columns ( invoice_number,receipt_number,amount,quantity)

please give me an idea to resolve this issue.

try{
MyCommandBean bean = new MyCommandBean();
col = bean.getDataFromDbViaEJB();
wdContext.nodeMyCommandBean().bind(col);
} catch (Exception ex) {
ex.printStackTrace(ex);
in your JavaBean model class, MyCommandBean getDatafromDbViaEJB() method:
Collection col = new ArrayList();
Collection newcol = new ArrayList();
//include your own context initialization etc...
col = local.getDataViaSessionBean(param);
// if your returned result also a bean class, reassigned it to current MyCommandBean
for (Iterator iterator = col.iterator(); iterator.hasNext();) {
MyOtherBean otherBean=(MyOtherBean)iterator.next();
MyCommmandBean bean = new MyCommandBean();
bean.attribute1 = outBean.getAttirbute1();
// get other attibutes
newcol.add(bean);
return newcol; -
Re: [SunONE-JATO] Re: Using an object to store and display data
Personally, I think there is little or no value to creating a "domain"
object that itself relies on a JATO QueryModel internally, but hides that
fact and requires use of BeanAdapterModel.
It would be more appropriate (and much less work, and more scalable) to just
derive a QueryModel subclass and add the domain-specific behavior to the
model. In other words, what's the point of creating an object that hides
JATO inside it when you're running in JATO to begin with? Now if the domain
object were doing plain JDBC, and thus trying to be JATO independent, that
would be different. However, you could still implement the Model interface
on the object (or use BeanAdapterModel) to integrate it seamlessly with the
View tier.

Subject: [SunONE-JATO] Re: Using an object to store and display data
Craig,
I think it all finally makes sense. First, your assumption is
correct regarding the process flow. The ViewBean will interact with
a custom Javabean which will then in turn interact with a SQL Model
to access the database. So now let me make sure I understand what I
need to do. Basically the custom Javabean will have a method to get
the SQLModel. I would then invoke the setValue method on the
SQLModel and call the appropriate execute method( e.g.,
executeUpdate, etc. ) just like I would do from a ViewBean. Does
this sound correct?
Thanks,
Greg

Not sure what you mean by "interface this BeanAdapterModel ... witha
query model". Does this mean that you have a ViewBean the interactswith
a custom JavaBean via the BeanAdpterModel wrapper, and from the
JavaBean you are interacting with the SQL Model?
So it looks like this: ViewBean > BeanAdapterModel(Custom JavaBean)
SQL Model > RDBMS
That's what I am reading anyway. Please explain this to me.
Would I need to make direct JDBC calls
from my custom model instead of letting JATO dynamically create
the
calls for me?
If my assumptions above are correct, then the custom JavaBean cansimply
use the SQL Model in exactly the same manner as the ViewBean,otherwise,
if no SQL Model is involved, then yes, you need to handle JDBCdirectly,
which is fine, if you do it "right" (connection pooling, result set
handling, etc.).

Could you please let me know why the function module:REUSE_ALV_GRID_DISPLAY is not displaying any output.

Problems Displaying data from RFC on Adobe Forms
Hi,
I have some Problems with creating an Adobe Form and hope, someone can help me or give me some hinds to some tutorials, which can help me.
I'm developing an webdynpro-application which get data from a R/3 via RFC-Call.
Context-Binding and so on is done and works. I created also an interactive form and can display some datas on it.
Here my questions:
I have an field 'unit' which shoulb be displayed on several positions onto the form. My problem is, i can display it only once. If i copy the field, there is no output in it. What can i do, to solve the problem?
From the RFC i get a table with several rows of data, i want to display on the form.
With drag&drop i can place the fields onto the form but they are displayed only once. I want one line for every row from the table.
What do i have to do? Are there tutorials which show the steps?
When I am not using a form, i can display the data from RFC in a table with no problems (i create a table ui and choose create binding from context menue). Are the nescessary steps for displaying the data on an interactive form the same.
I read something about creating a dynamic form design. Do i have to create it? What are the steps i have to do.
Many questions, but i hope that someone can give me some helpful hints.
Many thanks
Mathias LangeHi Mathias,
If I caught you correctly, you want to display data in Adobe forms in form of tabel, right?
So, follow the steps:
1. Insert one sub form on your adobe form.
2. Set its type as "flow content" in object->subform property.
3. Set flow direction as "Table".
4. Insert another subform inside this subform.
5. set its type as "flow content" and flow direction as "Table row".
6. Now, choose binding tab, and there check "repeat subform for each Data item check box" and specify min. count for your rows.
7. Now, insert your column fields inside this sub form once.
8. Format its look and feel as you want.
When you run this application, it will show you multiple data as table on Adobe form.

Spry:repeat display data in multiple rows/columns
I know how to use spry:repeat to display data in table rows,
one item per row.
Is there a way to tell spry to display data in a grid of x
rows by y columns?
I'm trying to maximize the page's real estate. Here is the
page
http://www.jannah.com/mp3/browse.html
Click on "Artist/Scholar" in "STEP1" section. "STEP2" section
gets filled with a list. I'm trying to display that list in 3
columns and as many rows as needed. How do I do that?
While I'm at it, I also can't figure out why the spry:select
is not working for "STEP2" section; I need to click twice on the
same item to get it highlighted. the other spry selects on the page
work ok. Can someone take a look.
Greatly appreciated.You can't use Spry with tables to do this, but if you're up
to using a div based layout/presentation, it is possible. Check out
the Zuggest sample:
http://labs.adobe.com/technologies/spry/samples/data_region/ZuggestSample.html
It uses floated divs to get the same effect. The nice thing
about using divs, is that more columns dynamically appear as the
horizontal real-estate is expanded.

Question about displaying data
Based on the search criteria I need to show some info. with check box on each item, but it might retrun upto fifty items (between 1 to 50 items). Should I create checkbox/output text dynamically or how do I handle this scenario? In the jspx how do I loop it and display? Thank you.

ADDT does not change the display date format when I set it in th ADDT Control panel.
Control panel settings:
Database date format: yyyy-mm-dd
Screen date format: mm/dd/yyyy
Display output: yyyy-mm-dd
Is output does not change regardless of th esetting in control panel.
Please advise.
Simonhello
ok here is another solution:
Go to the binding panel and select the Dynamic Text that retrieved from the recordset to display the date in your page.
- move your cruiser to the dead right end then you will found a bold down arrow beside the dynamic text click it you will found:
- dropdown menu >> click Developer toolbox >>> Date Formate
this will apply the settings you have made in the Control panel to this specified Dynamic data...
i did it and works very fine now...
