Displaying dynamic form for multiple players

I am trying to dynamically display a form based on the number
the user chooses. For instance, the user is register his/her child
for soccer. I have a form that asks all the parent/guardian
information and the player info. If the parent/guardian chooses to
register 2 or more, I need to duplicate the player form. I can use
a span tag and innerhtml, but that seems very tedious in
javascript. Is there a better way to dynamically create the form
for player 2, player 3, ...? I would like to do it all on the same
page without the user gong to the next page. Your help is
appreciated.

In regards to tedious client side JavaScript, there are
bunches of canned scripts available that you can modify.

Another solution would be to go the AJAX route where the user
stays on the same page, they click submit, AJAX goes out and
submits the info and refreshes the registered list below the form.

When user creates Transfer Order and if transfer order items are more than 22 then split of Transfer Order occurrs and multiple TO's get created in system. The standard prog. RLVSDR40 prints form for each TO's , however the requirment is to print only one form for multiple TO ( Actually TO Form containes info. abt delivery, but triggering point should be from TO creation ) .
There is one prog. RLKOMM40 which is used for multiple processing, whether this prog. will be useful for above requirement. Or is there any exit available for above requirement .

as your post, everything seems fine. I didnt see any reason for not creating single delivery.
is it happening only with this customer or respective ship to's? if yes, something gone wrong in CMR - i.e. complete delivery / order combination etcc., ( just an assumption)

How to display Smart form in Multiple Languages ?

How can I print the Smart Form in Multiple Languages like Korea, German and Japneese....
I got a requirement where I need to display the developed Smart form in these languages. As of now it is displayed only in the Language ENGLISH.

Hello kittu....
I would recommend that you create a single Smart Form in the primary supported language (or the one which you're most comfortable maintaining forms). Embed all necessary logic in this form, and design it with the idea that it would need to be viewable in multiple languages .
Then use transaction SE63 to translate all necessary form components into each desired language -- one by one -- and they will all be bound together under the same form name. In my experience, a basic multi-column spreadsheet (put together with the guidance of professional translators) works well as a translation guide.
The advantages of a single, shared form include: consistent look and feel, avoiding dual maintenance for shared logic (or, in your case, up to 10x maintenance), and simplified output determination. On the other hand, a single form does constrain your design and can make for a more complex implementation.

I realize this isn't likely, but do you know of a way to allow the user to select the secure zone to be registered (e.g. from a list of multiple secure zones or entering ID of one sz into a text input) from within a single web form? I wonder if this can be passed in through a parameter in the action URL or through a special system field.

Can I set up a pro forma for multiple images

Hi all
Well I am a newbie to Keynote and I am really enjoying using it.
I am trying to set up a pro forma for class photos at a school, the photos have been handed to me by the teachers but are all slightly different sizes.
My question is can I set up some sort of master document where I can place the photos (head shots) of the students with their names under them ready for a keynote display and have the photos all the same size without editing them separately.
I need to be able to remove photos occasionally too (ie if they are absent etc) so would need it to be a 'changeable' master rather than a screen shot. The amount of students in each class varies from 15 to 29 so I would need to accommodate the 29 with names under them and a heading somewhere on the page.
Is it doable? Do I do it straight into the keynote or onto a pages document first?

The Mac OS X Mail application has a "Junk" function that works locally, on the Mac, and just puts emails from previously designated "junk" addresses into a separete folder, so you don't have to wade thru all that spam in your Inbox. It's a very elegant and simple, local solution, that I dearly miss on iOS.

Display multilevel BOM for multiple materials

Hi,
I am to trying to display multilevel BOM explosion for multiple BOMs valid to custom date. Then I would like to export this list of all components to Excel.
Best solution would be if to create QuickView to do this.
So far I have been able to Join tables MAST - STPO, this shows me only one level of BOM (sort of like CS03 transaction) not a multilevel view (CS12). Is it possible to modify this to display multilevel view?

Dear Thomas,
in order to have a multilevel Bom explosion you must use only fm : CS_BOM_EXPL_MAT_V2 because you won't succeed to have a multiplevel with a simple query.
I advise you set MEHRS = X for active multilevel logic.

There are several ways to do this. One way is to create different database accounts for each user, and give each user priviledges to the tables they need. (Your DBA may need to do this.) Then, when the users logs in, check who it is and call the appropriate form.

Display aggregate total for multiple members of a dimension.

When multiple members of a dimension are selected in a row or column in Financial Reporting tool, it tends to display the result in multiple rows or columns. Is it possible to display the aggregate value of all the members and not display the individual details. I have tried the Auto Calculation which shows the "Total" but also shows the Individual members that were selected in multiple rows or columns. Any suggestions would be great.

Brian, I will post all my future questions in the Reporting Forum as you suggested. Coming back to my question, I do not want to display all the Individual members that I had selected in the report. I only need the aggregate value (Custom Totals) of all the Dimension members together.
eg: If I choose the following account members in one row (Salaries, Bonus, Advertising), I do not want to display the individual line items for the three members, I only need one row called "Expenses" that has the aggregate value for the three members. Essbase by default (even if I don't select "place selections in separate columns" ) will put the members in separate rows or columns.

Beam-Forming for multiple devices?

I'm planning on getting an AirPort Extreem.
Reading its capabilities, Apple mentions that this device supports 'Beam-Forming'.
My question is, can it perform this function for multiply-conntected devices?
For example: we have 2 iPod Touches, 2 iPads, 2 Apple TVs, 3 Airport Exresses and one MacBook Air.
Can the AirPort Extreem Beam-Form for all of these devices at once?

Beamforming works only if you have an "ac" wireless device connected to the new AirPort Extreme.
Among the products that you list, only the MacBook Air might have this capability.....if it is a late 2013 model that supports "ac" wireless.
Assuming you have several "ac" wireless devices, the new AirPort Extreme would support multiple connections.

Dynamic form with multiple master pages

I have a 7 pg form that has different data in the footer area. I placed the footer info on it's own separate master page and set the page to the corresponding page numbers. I moved the content area above the footer section so my content can flow to the next page properly. But my problem is since I set the Pagination area to "Place: Top of Page "Page 2" and the rest accordingly, I'm getting an almost blank page with the data from the previous page and the next page pushes to a separate page of its own for every page. Not sure how to make the form flow continuous, this is my first time having to do a form this way. Typically I set the pages when I'm done to "Following Previous" instead of "Top of Next page" in the Pagination Place field for each section and everything works fine then. I've never had to deal with a different master page for each page in the form.
Any help or suggestion would be greatly appreciated.

If you have 7 pages with different footers, wouldn't it be easier to have the footer also part of the body page instead of Master page.
Unless you are adding dynamic content at runtime, you can keep the footer in the body page itself. That way you can avoid multiple master pages.
If you still have issues, you can share the form, so I can have a look at it.

Howto: display dynamic form on tree selection (jdev 11gR1)

Heya,
another question by myself, hoping for an advice.
I finally made a tree including different types of "objects" into one tree (based on ADF BC). Simple example use case used in this post: displaying employee hierarchy PLUS assigned projects per employee.
So my current problem is: what is the "way to go" to change the form in the "content" facet (made a simple splitter layout with tree in left facet and "content" in right facet) AND binding the data to it? Clicking on an employee would open the employee form and load data for selected employee into it, but clicking on a project would open the project form and loading data for selected project into it. I have all data available in the tree application module and the decision "what to display" is based on one of the attributes.
All tutorials I found so far for master/detail are kinda "static" (linking employee tree to employee form) and I can't figure out how to do want I want to do.
Is this possible going the declarative way? If yes, how? Or do I have to code something? If yes, how? No need for actual code, just need a hint what to look for.. feeling lost atm.

here's how you do it
1. Create a iterator binding for the project ViewObject (choose a ViewObject instance that is not dependent to the employees ViewObject you use as the tree top level)
2. In the binding editor, expand the Data Source entry (below the rule attribute configuration) and create an EL expression that references the iterator bindingyou created
This ensures that selecting an emplloyee is synchronized with the Employee iterator used to build the top level nodes and the selected project is synchronized with the project iterator node.
3. Add a switcher component to switch between the employee and the project edit form
4. Create a facet in the af:switcher that has the name of the full employee view object e.g. adf.mysample.EmployeesView
5. Create a facet in the af:switcher for the full name of the Project VO
6. Drag and drop the EmployeeView entry from the data Controls palette as a form into the Employees facet
7. Do the same for the Projects (make sure you use the Projects VO that is not depedent)
Set the default value of the switcher too point to the facet that should be shown by default. The value of the switcher set to an EL that points to a managed bean method or memory attribute. Upon selecting a node (you can use the tree node selection listener) you access the selected tree node. The selection listener code woud look as shown below

We cannot change the Page Layout and Orientation dynamically in Adobe forms.
To achieve this Create two forms with different layouts each.

One form for multiple tables

Hey,
I'm Pretty new to Access, as I've been given units to cover for my college course. Unfortunately my tutor has had this dumped on him too (so he's kinda self teaching as he goes as well)....
My issue is that I am trying to create a single form that will allow for all the information to be entered onto, which will then disseminate that info to the separate tables.
The database is a simple film database that has 8 tables in total. Seven are data tables (Filminfo; Certificate; Genre; Series; Role; Producer; Actor) and the seventh is a central table that is filled with keys as a connection for them all. Series is also
an off shoot from the filminfo table. I do have a pic, but I couldn't attach an image until my account was verified!
This is how we were advised to set it out and as far as I can tell the other parts that have been built are working. I know there is a way to do it, but tonight the internet is failing me, that, or my lack of understanding
exactly what I'm reading.
Therefore any help that could be offered by anybody that can work out what I'm rambling on about, would be most appreciated (even more so if in layman's terms)

What you have in relational database terms is a 7-way many-to-many relationship type between the 'referenced' tables. This is what your eighth table is modelling by resolving the many-to-many relationship type into seven one-to-many relationship types.
The problem here is that you are going to end up with a huge amount of 'redundancy' in the table modelling the relationship type. At least some of the other tables represent entity types of which there can be more that one instance per film, e.g. there
will be more than one actor in most films. So let's say you record four actors for a film. That means four rows in the table, but you then have to record the producer of the film four times as well, entering the same foreign key value into all
four rows. That's what's meant by redundancy. Redundancy is a bad thing because it leaves the table open to the risk of 'update anomalies', e.g. two or more different producers could be inadvertently entered in different rows of the four.
Which is the correct one? There's no way of knowing.
So what relationship types do we really have here? Let's concentrate on films and actors. Each film can have many actors, and each actor can appear in many films (think Michael Caine!), so the relationship type is many-to-many. Now a many-to-many
relationship type cannot be modelled directly between two tables, it's done by a third table which resolves it into two one-to-many relationship types. So in broad outline the tables would be like this:
Films
....FilmID (PK)
....Title
....ReleaseDate
....etc
Actors
....ActorID (PK)
....FirstName
....LastName
....etc
and to model the relationship type:
FilmActors
....FilmID (FK)
....ActorID (FK)
....Role
The primary key of this last table is a composite one made up of the two foreign keys FilmID and ActorID.
Karl's already given you a clue how to represent this; by means of a form/subform. The form would be based on Films and the subform on FilmActors. For a simple example of this basic type of many-to-many relationship type and how to represent it

This little demo file illustrates a number of interfaces using forms, but just look at the conventional form/subform set-up. The other two are just there because from time to time people have asked how to do it in these other ways. Quite why they
want to is another matter!
My demo just has one subform, but there's no reason why you can't have multiple subforms in a films form of course, each for a different related entity type, each linked to the parent form on FilmID. Tip: to save space put ach subform on a separate
page of a tab control, with the main film data in the parent form above the tab control so it's visible permanently as you move between different pages of the tab control.
BTW in my StudentCourses demo try typing into the combo box in the subform the name of a new course not currently listed, French say, and see what happens. Take a look at the code in the combo box's NotInList event procedure to see how it works.

I can sympathise with your tutor BTW. My next door neighbour is head of the art department at a high school, but she has to teach maths also!
PS: I included Role as column in the FilmActors table, but what about Alec Guinness in Kind Hearts and Coronets? (google it if you're not familiar with the film) How do you think you'd handle that situation?
