Displaying menu-items in two columns

in my menus i separate in the label e.g.
Cut..Ctrl+X
Copy..Ctrl+C
Paste..Ctrl+V
(i wrote "." instead of blanks)
is it possible to left-arange the hotkeys on the right?
=>
Cut.........Ctrl+X
Copy.......Ctrl+C
Paste......Ctrl+V
I don't want to use blanks for filling up the space between label and hotkey.

If these magic menu items are required to be displayed as you have showed, I believe you can set the label of the menu item. You know the word 'Paste' is longer. How about trying it like this for each of your menu item ...
set_menu_item_property(<yourmenuitem>, LABEL, rpad(get_menu_item_property(<yourmenuitem>,LABEL),12,'.')||L_suffix)
where L_suffix (a VARCHAR2(6) variable) would depend on the menu item. Say for Cut, L_suffix would be 'Ctrl+X'
You may like to write the relevant code in a procedure and call this procedure once in you when-new-form-instance trigger.

Edit the Folder Style. Select the Folder Layout tab. Select
the Region Properties you want to modify (e.g. Regular Items).
Near the bottom of the page you can specify the number of
columns.

i dont think so it is possible in 6i......may be by using accessible keys but you cannot write Events on Menus except the Start-up Code
In Forms11g you can have JavaScript based menus and in forms 10g by using Java beans it might be possible

Want to display menu item horizontally in hover menu control?

I have to display 3 buttons as menu items in a hover menu horizontally. As the hover menu control only show the menu items in vertical form, but for a specific task, i have to place 3 buttons side by side in hover menu. if anyone have tried this please help me.

Design your page into tables and rows.
Divide each row into columns.Example:

If you want to align the sub menu accordingly,you can again divide each row of the table into a subtable with rows and columns.

UIX: How to display more items in 1 column on the same row

I have a uix table with a couple of columns.
Now I want to display more elements in 1 column, but on the same row
E.g.
article | quantity <> | price
The quantity column has also to buttons to increase/decrease the quantity. Something like:

If all of your line items are getting displayed in different pages, to my knowledge, there may be two possibilities.
1) May be the size of the main window can accomodate only one line item. If one item data fills up the window, then there wont' be any space for the next line item data to be accomodated in the same window in the same page, so, the system triggers the next page. Like-wise for each item data. If this is the case, increase the height of the main window to display items in same page.
2) Check the driver program. Find the Write_form block, which is written inside an item loop. May be there is a Form-control Function module( Control_form with parameter 'NEW-PAGE' ) being called after the write_fom block, within the loop. If this is the case, remove the control_form FM section to make the data display in same page.

How to display data based on two columns in Apex calendar?

I have a table for holiday details with 2 date columns...from-date and a to-date. I need to display the name of the person for the date range they have specified. For Ex if i applied for leaves from may 1 to may 4...the calendar should display my name for 4 dates i.e may1,2,3 and 4

I guess it is because of some carriage returns in your dynamic img tag that is being generated may be not, so make sure there are no breaks half-way through he attributes of the img tag.

Trouble selecting menu item using AppleScript

Now that iWork Numbers 3.2 has added the ability to hide columns and rows via the menubar, I'm trying to make it work in an Applescript using system Events and the click menu item command, but no dice. Any ideas?

I want to display the sum of two columns of Jtable in a text box, just as we use to do in Forms developer.
How is this possible in Jclient.

How best to display a two column menu in Flash 8?

I have a flash 8 template and i am using Macromedia Flash Professional 8. I want to create a menu in a scrollable text box, which has two columns exactly aligned like so:

However, when i test the movie there is no formatting and the text is misaligned. I already have the above text (and there is alot of it) in the exact format, in a word file, so i could copy and paste the text instead of writing it out all over again.
I have been advised that it is better to use the Datagrid component to display the above text in a table?
My question is, how can i use the Datagrid component to display the text aligned exactly as above? Do i need to create html tables and then get the datagrid component to call this html file, xml file or actionscript? I am not familiar with xml or actionscript.

Not sure what the easiest way is to create such a two column menu in Flash because the tab key on the keyboard does not work in a scrollable textbox only the space bar. And using the space bar does not align the text correctly.
However, i do have a html file which i created using html tables. Is there a way to import the html file into a scrollable textbox in flash? The raw html code example is a little different as i have included the borders, but the idea is the same - a two-column scrollable menu.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

A top level menu item should display its active state if any of its submenu items are active

Example case: I'm designing a Muse site which is basically a portfolio of our work. We design books, doing page layout and covers. We have numerous book categories and sub categories which I put in a horizontal menu. When a given top level category menu item doesn't have a submenu, it is a hyperlink and it displays active state when the browser displays its linked page. But when a given page is displayed from a submenu link, its top level menu item does NOT display active state. I think it should.
For example, we have a "Nostalgia" category which has "Film" and "TV" subcategories. Because the menu item, "Nostalgia" has a submenu containing "Film" and "TV", the label "Nostalgia" is not a hyperlink. The submenu attached to it has the two hyperlinked items "Film" and "TV". When the browser is displaying either linked page, the submenu is hidden. So it would be nice if the top level item, "Nostalgia" would display in an active state.

thanks for the response! I would be happy to find the root cause of this issue (or at least find and remove the data in the facility called Launch Services.
I have no additional binaries of Adobe Reader on the disk. One only.
I think there is some crufty data somewhere, which Launch Services is reading and hence displaying the erroneous menu item.
I suspect the Adobe Reader installer is somehow responsible for this. This was a clean and newly built system disk.

Rebuild Launch Services Database
Now, I tried resetting the "global Launch Services database".
I must restart Finder to see if this was successful. Until later...

Use the ATTR_SHOW_IMAGES attribute to add a column in the menu in which images can be placed. Then use the ATTR_ITEM_BITMAP attribute to specify an image to use for a submenu or menu item
