Displaying Properties/Resources in two columns

Hi,
is there any way to display resources (links, files,...) (for example in PortalFavorites) in two columns (that means two resources in one row).
Can anybody help me?

Edit the Folder Style. Select the Folder Layout tab. Select
the Region Properties you want to modify (e.g. Regular Items).
Near the bottom of the page you can specify the number of
columns.

How to display data based on two columns in Apex calendar?

I have a table for holiday details with 2 date columns...from-date and a to-date. I need to display the name of the person for the date range they have specified. For Ex if i applied for leaves from may 1 to may 4...the calendar should display my name for 4 dates i.e may1,2,3 and 4

I created an application using Apex. It is a calendar application to show events that are happening. I ran into an issue with it
If there is an event that occurs during an interval like August15 - August22, the event is shown only on August15, which is the first day of the event. I would like to show it in all days from August15-22.
Here are the items coming from the page

Displaying menu-items in two columns

in my menus i separate in the label e.g.
Cut..Ctrl+X
Copy..Ctrl+C
Paste..Ctrl+V
(i wrote "." instead of blanks)
is it possible to left-arange the hotkeys on the right?
=>
Cut.........Ctrl+X
Copy.......Ctrl+C
Paste......Ctrl+V
I don't want to use blanks for filling up the space between label and hotkey.

If these magic menu items are required to be displayed as you have showed, I believe you can set the label of the menu item. You know the word 'Paste' is longer. How about trying it like this for each of your menu item ...
set_menu_item_property(<yourmenuitem>, LABEL, rpad(get_menu_item_property(<yourmenuitem>,LABEL),12,'.')||L_suffix)
where L_suffix (a VARCHAR2(6) variable) would depend on the menu item. Say for Cut, L_suffix would be 'Ctrl+X'
You may like to write the relevant code in a procedure and call this procedure once in you when-new-form-instance trigger.

I want to display the sum of two columns of Jtable in a text box, just as we use to do in Forms developer.
How is this possible in Jclient.

Actually I wanted to sum the values of a column when a user enters a value in the Jtable when a new record is created. before it is commited
That summarized value which I want in the textbox will then be used in the validation rule.

No MSI info and MSI clock speed flags in display properties

My problem is really curious. Several days ago I bought new harddrive and made clear instalation of Win98 SE. After that I installed VIA 4 in 1, on-board audio drivers, the new DirectX and then DetonatorXP drivers for my G4 Ti 4600. My problem is that in display properties I miss two flags descrabing my nVidia card - MSI information and MSI clock. System has detected card correctly. In advanced display properties I can adjust OpenGL and Direct 3D settings, AA settings, etc.
My system is stable in every game and benchmarks, so it means that card works correctly. Powerstrip detects core and memory speeds correctly, under adapter options in this program I see 128 MB video memory, AGP 4x enabled, fastwrites enabled - everything is correct.
But in display properties I do not see MSI information and MSI clock speed flags. Why ??? I have also reinstalled VIA 4 in 1 and Detonator XP drivers - it did not help.
Before byuing my new harddrive (80 GB Seagate,7200rpm) I had 30 GB IBM,5400rpm. Windows 98 SE installed on this harddrive detects card correctly too including MSI information and MSI clock speed flags. Now I miss it. Any idea ???
On both harddrives I have installed DetonatorXP 29.42 then I have updated to 30.82
My system:
MSI K7T Turbo 6330 3.0
1,33 GHz Athlon T-bird
512 MBRAM
G4 Ti 4600
80 GB Seagate BarracudaIV 7200rpm
Win98 SE

I installed the MSI Drivers from the MSI cd. All ok but the clock and info tabs were missing. I upgraded the driver from msi site to 3000 and no tabs.

Before the GF4 i had a gf2 and i realized i forgot to uninstall the nvidia drivers before installing the new card's drivers. I uninstalled them and reinstalled the msi driver 3000. But no clock nor info tabs.
Can someone help me? Are those tabs needed?
I'm using xp pro, intel p4 1.8 on motherboard intel d850md, 1gb ram.
Also the 3d turbo experience gives me msivga.ocx initialization error.

How best to display a two column menu in Flash 8?

I have a flash 8 template and i am using Macromedia Flash Professional 8. I want to create a menu in a scrollable text box, which has two columns exactly aligned like so:

However, when i test the movie there is no formatting and the text is misaligned. I already have the above text (and there is alot of it) in the exact format, in a word file, so i could copy and paste the text instead of writing it out all over again.
I have been advised that it is better to use the Datagrid component to display the above text in a table?
My question is, how can i use the Datagrid component to display the text aligned exactly as above? Do i need to create html tables and then get the datagrid component to call this html file, xml file or actionscript? I am not familiar with xml or actionscript.

Not sure what the easiest way is to create such a two column menu in Flash because the tab key on the keyboard does not work in a scrollable textbox only the space bar. And using the space bar does not align the text correctly.
However, i do have a html file which i created using html tables. Is there a way to import the html file into a scrollable textbox in flash? The raw html code example is a little different as i have included the borders, but the idea is the same - a two-column scrollable menu.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Can't change displayed properties in resource renderer

Hello everybody!
I'm trying to do display a very simple list of filenames in a KM navigation iView. I've assigned a layout set, which references a collection renderer and a resource renderer. In the resource renderer, "Visible Properties" is set to rnd:displayname(contentlink).
But still I get a list with filename, file size and timestamp. No matter what I put in the "Visible Properties" field, the same thing is displayed.
I've verified that the layout set references the correct resource renderer by changing other attributes ("Command Display", for instance), and these changes do have an effect.
Any ideas what might be the problem here?
One more thing. This iView is a dynamic navigation iView. How can I make the documents open in the content area of the portal instead of in a new window?
Any help is very much appreciated.

Hi Martin,
seems like you have selected a collection renderer for "structured output", like the grid or tree collection renderer. In this case the collection renderer is the one who is responsible of the properties displayed.
So what you have to do is edit the parameter "Displayed Properties" of your collection renderer with the properties you want to display.
Check this <a href="https://forums.sdn.sap.com/thread.jspa?threadID=28751">link</a> for more info about "unstructured vs. structure coll. renderers".

PS: The iView Property "Launch in New Window" should be set to "Display in Portal Content Area", in order have the iView displayed as you wish.

Rnd:action in displayed properties of resource renderer to open a webdynpro

In the collection renderers of the SAP KMC, we define the displayed properties as below.
rnd:iconrnd:displayname(contentlink)rnd:action
Which means that the displayname of the resource is shown as hyperlink and we click on it the resource opens in the respective editor.
I have an requirement when I click on the hyperlink of the display name I want to open a webdypro application. How can this be achieved.
Any inputs will be of great help.

Firstly thanks for your quick reply. My requirement is , I have some images in a folder in KM of portal for example : /document/IMAP. If I click on this file , it should invoke a webdynpro application. I have follwed ur blog and created a oth file and uploded in /etc/oth folder. After doing this I thought when I click on any file in /documents/IMAP folder the webdynpro application will open but its not happening.

Gallery Display Thumbnails in Two Columns

Thanks to Mr. Booth for his excellent tutorial on setting up
a web gallery. This really gave me a great foundation.
My question has to do with controlling how thumbnail images
are displayed on the page. I would like to display two (or three)
columns ot thumbs along with a text title for each. If I were
programming this in C++, I would setup a "for loop" and simply
display the first column with an index of i/2, and the second
column with an index of i/2 + 1, but I can't seem to figure out how
to achieve a similar effect within the confines of HTML.
Here is my code snippet. What I get is two columns of
identical thumbs. How would you change this to make thumbs 1,3,5...
appear in column one, and thumbs 2,4,6... appear in column two? It
seemed to me that using a table was a good way to set this up, but
I'm very new to web programming.

Displaying properties from two objects in a datagrid

Previously I post a discussion on this matter on Flex learning path and haven't got any response on how to do this so I figured that I might as well try again here.
I'm using drag and drop binding in flash builder 4 on a data-grid. However, the data I need to show need to be query from another object.

I did this so that if in the future Category Name needs to be rename. I can just rename the one in category table.

Two column display

Greetings all,
I had a MovableType blog hosted by Yahoo and I decided to move the files to my Network Solutions account where the domain is registered.
All files were transferred and the DNS changed to point to the new location (http://theargonauts.info/index.html). But the blog, which used to display in two columns, now only displays in one. Previously when I've had this problem it was because there were too many or too few </div> tags at the end of the post where the break is supposed to occur, around line 100 in my Dreamweaver editor. But Dreamweaver doesn't show any unfinished <div> statements and adding or deleting them makes no difference, it still displays in one column. I thought there might be something in the .css but I can't for the life of me figure out what it is.
This is driving me crazy and any insight will be greatly appreciated.

Distinct count of values which are displayed in two columns in SSAS

Hi,
How is it possible to get distinct count of two columns in fact table, meaning how many different appearances are in both columns.
Please note I DO NOT mean distinct count on the concatenated fields.
I’ll demonstrate with example:
Fact table- deals with CustomerID and SupplierID and deals data.
I need distinct count of companies which are either customer/ supplier in the fact table.
(making a concatenated field and distinct count on that would not give what I need).
Ex: fact :
Deal1, Customer X, Supplier Y …
Deal2, Customer X, Supplier Z …
Distinct count of companies in the above should be 3.
How can this be done?

Are you trying to do this using the SSAS model, or just off the data using SQL? If you were to just use SQL I would create two sub queries and union them to remove duplicates.
ie.
SELECT DISTINCT customer FROM table_1
UNION
SELECT DISTINCT supplier FROM table_1
This will give you one unique master list.

Count first two columns

I have a count requirement that i havent been able to solve by searching sdn. Maybe someone can help.
I have a query built on a multiprovider that points to two basic cubes. The basic cubes do not contain a count key figure. The first two columns of my query are characteristics. My requirement is to count the occurences of the combination of the first two column (characteristics). I am looking for a way to do this in the query so i do not have to reload the cubes as they have large volumes of data. All the suggestions i have been able to find on sdn seem to be only for counting a single characteristic. Is there a way to count the combination of two?

Hi Create a count using the formula or calculated ket figure for the count unique id like client id for your infocube.
so you will have a count for each row now. place this count object in your column.
now select the two char or the group whatever you want a count in your row.
select query properties and select the display tab and make sure the option - hide repeated key values is selected (normally by default it is selected). Then select each of the char in rows and in free char and set the option under display tab result rows - always suppress.
Execute the query now. you will get the list of char and their count. sort the count by descending to get the most duplicate entries by their highest number on top in the count coulmn.
you can also ignore the rows which donot have a duplicate i.e count more than 1 by creating a new condintion on the count key figure > 1 and restricting the condition by only the group of char you have given in the column. so that you can also do a drill down by free char in your query and it will only show the duplicates group.
