Displaying the list of resources

Hi guys,
I need to display the resources assigned to the each user, in the form. i have the list of user objects and i am doing iteration using fieldloop. is there any function to get the list of resources assigned to the user.
i am trying with user.getAssignedResources( ) metho. But its giving me the following xpress exception
XPRESS exception:
Can't call method getAssignedResourceList on class com.waveset.object.WSUser ==> com.waveset.util.WavesetException: Cannot resolve resources without a cache

The getAssignedResourceList method works for me.... not sure what causes the cache exception mentioned above

Hi All,
Is there any possibility to include the scrollable list on the face of report(Not in the left side i.e as input control)
For example If I have a country with different counties.
Based on the country selection in the block it should display the list of counties as scrollable list.
Would it be possible.

Not sure if you are looking for the same..
Have you tried applying the filter at the filter pane..i.e.
Click on the the show\hide filter pane (filter icon is present nearby the drill icon)
Now drag the required object on this pane.
It will create the dropdown filters on top of the report.

Hi,
No its not possible to display list of reports in dashboard prompts.
Can do this using SQl results in prompt(we write query checking out report names manualy),but its not easy thing if you are having many report names to be displayed.

To display the list of File Name in a report region from a Directory

Hello All,
Can any one guide me in displaying the list of file name from a file system directory in a report region with link?
On click of the link it should display the open/save dialog box.
I will appreciate the early solution. (It is bit urgent)

A quick, "dirty solution would be to have a cron job (I am assuming you are on a UNIX-based system) that populates a file periodically with the names of files in a directory/directories. Then have an external table that points to that file. You can then create an Apex report that lists the contents of the external table.
1) crontab job:
ls -1 /source_dir/* > /destination_dir/file.list
2) create external table:
CREATE DIRECTORY filedir AS ' destination_dir ';
GRANT READ ON DIRECTORY xfer_files TO public;
CREATE TABLE file_list_ext (file_names VARHCAR2(100))
ORGANIZATION EXTERNAL
TYPE oracle_loader
DEFAULT DIRECTORY files_dir
ACCESS PARAMETERS
records delimited by newline
fields terminated by ','
missing field values are null
(file_name)
LOCATION ('file.list')
REJECT LIMIT UNLIMITED;
3) create APEX report on table: file_list_ext

TS3274 Email display problem: My email only display the list of emails and a preview (first two lines of the body of the mail). If one click on the message it only shows the heading on the right hand side of the screen, but not the content.

My email only display the list of mails in my in box with a preview of the first two lines of the body of the message. When one clicks on the message to open it, only the header is displayed in the right hand side of the screen - the actual message is missing. This happens on older mail previously downloaded that use to work properly as well. Any idea how to fix this?

Try closing the Mail app completely and see if it works properly when you re-open the app : from the home screen (i.e. not with the Mail app 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the Mail app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
If that doesn't work also do a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

What Component should be used to display the list on UI

I have a table in which when the user selects a row and tries to remove the row. I am supposed to show the pop up which shows all the rows matching to the header of the row.
In my backing bean i have the context of the row so i could extract the matching rows form db into a List<String> . Now what i need to know is which component on the Ui will show this as a list in Pop Up.
I mean which component af:??? should be used to display the List ?
I am kind of new to ADF.

Hi,
   If you want to display in ALV, you can use REUSE_ALV_GRID_DISPLAY FM also, which will call standard program from module pool and will display the list.
If you use module pool, it is not mandatory that you have to use only OO ALV.
You can create list output also from module pool. For that in user command you can write like
IF sy-ucomm = '.....'.
     leave to list processing and return.
     write :/ '..............'.
Endif.

This is what i am looking to achieve, I have an agency number (regulierer -field from jhaga) table Each agency has several advertisers listed to it, in the same table separate field inserent contains the advertiser numbers
when I type in the agency number i need to have a listbox appearing in the same screen that contains the list of the advertiser numbers in them.
how to write the code for that?
I know I have to write the select query to grab the list of advertiser numbers and then how tostore in the list box and display on the screen the second part i do not know.

How do I get iCloud Backup Options to display the list of apps on my iPad? It just spins forever.

I'm trying to set up iCloud backups for my iPad. I go into Manage Storage, selet my iPad from my list of iCloud enabled devices and then I get the Backup Info screen. Its supposed to list all of my applications so I can turn on/off backups on an app by app basis. Unfortunately it just spins forever and the Backup Options list never populates.
This works fine in my iPhone 4s, but not on my iPad.
I don't want to run a backup without doing this since I have a lot of data in a couple of apps and I don't want those backed up.
Is this an iOS bug on the iPad?

Eventually the Settings app just crashes while waiting for the Backup Options list to populate.
When I try an actual backup of my iPad to iCloud it spins for a while and then crashes.
I only want to backup up a handful of my apps to iCloud but right now I can't even get it to show me the list of apps to turn on/off.

Count Hits not displaying the list in Oracle 10g

Hi all,
I have a form that is been converted into ORacle 10g from Forms 6i. When the count hits is executed from the action > Query menu, the no of records that will be fetched is not displayed, instead "press F7 for query, and F8 to execute query" is displayed. The same form in 6i works fine.
Please let me know, is there any settings in Oracle 10g related to this, or a way out to solve this.

I did compile using both the methods (compile_all=yes on linux and also compile all and generating the .fmx through Form builder), but both in cases, the result is the same, no count is displayed.
I have tried with F12 also but did not get the count.
Any Suggestions?
