Displaying views from different componets in a single view

HI gurus,
I want to assemble all the views in a single view by using layout
1. i have 2 DC's, DC1 has 3 components and each component has 4 views
2. DC2 has 5 Components each has some 6 views
My requirement is to display all these views in one view of DC1, depends on the condition
I displayed all DC1 views successfully by using plugs to interface views
but i want disable this entire viewcontainer and display other view container to display DC2 views at same place
I thought by doing this when user clicks on that view every time all the views will load, is it the bestprectice to work, if not please suggest me best solution

Dear Anusha,
Use the component interface > interface view to integrate other DC2 view in the DC1.
then use the Viewset or Viewcontainer to embed the DC2 view using interface view.
Search for the communication between dcs.

I am able to ping from my window machine to Sun SolarisPing means nothing in this case because:
1. ICMP =! TCP
2. You need to have allowed connection from Solaris to your local machine (port 6000) and ping is not capable to check that.
3. You need to check this on/from server (Solaris)
Or you can use X11Forwarding so you don't need to allow connection as mentioned above.
I mean the software requiredDo you mean client SW or what?

Display data from multiple document Libraries in List View Webpart

Hi All,
I want to display data from multiple document libraries into one list view webpart(custom i have created)

but it tells to display only from one document library.
My motive behind displaying data in the list view webpart is to achieve the functionality of Check In ,Check Out and other OOB features.

As there is no such OOTB feature, a workaround is to create a visual web part to gather items from libraries and implement functionalities like Check in, Check out files
in different libraries.

Displaying data from multiple columns into a single line graph

Hey,I have an issue with the WEBI reporting.I have a data source that has multiple columns say ( month1, month2, month3, month4,.....month 12, month 13, ....month24) with the sales data for each month.Now say I call the month 1 to month 12 as "current year", and call month 13 - month 24 as "previous year".I want to put a prompt in the report which allows me to select between "current year" and "previous year".Based on the prompt value we get a graph of the sales vs month ....as in if we select "current year", then we get a graph of the sales Vs time( remember that the sales data for each month is in a different column.)and if we select "previous year" then we get a graph of the sales Vs time for previous year..( sales vs time for Month 13, month 14, month 15....month 24).I am not able to pull data from multiple columns into a single object that I can use to populate the graphs.Any help on the same will be appreciated .

Combine Accounts from different Generations into a single Table Prompt

We are on OBIEE 11.1.1.6.2 and using an ASO (11.1.2.1) cube as a datasource.
I wish to make a drop down menu of only ten accounts in OBIEE. These ten accounts do not all belong in the same generation. The desired Accounts are from Gen6, Gen5 and Gen4. How do I make a single drop down list with these ten accounts when the members belong to different generations ? I have tried building this custom list of ten accounts via Selection Steps but it seems that I cannot cross different generations of the Account dimension.
Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks for the reply Christian. I literally tried at least 100 possible iterations of the Evaluate statement and none of them will compile in OBIEE. Before posting, I scoured the Internet for days hoping someone else has had this issue resolved. I had no luck. If you know of anyone that has actually been successful with the EVALUATE statement to make a list of dimension members from different generations, please post the exact code snippet so that I can leverage off of somone else's knowledge.
I have tried dozens of possible iterations of: with no luck at all.

Displaying image from different domain in an applet

can anybody tell how to load & display an image from a different domain. the image is being generated dynamically on that server so that i cannot save it.

The main problem would be turning an unsigned applet (therefore from an unknown source) into a DOS application which starts pounding on all sorts of other servers, including the local host.
As to the problem, you could have a servlet on your host which gets the image from the other host for you. The servlet could be very generic with the applet passing all the info needed to get the file for it.

Joining multiple views from different HANA systems

We are on Business suite on HANA environment ;that means ECC , CRM , BW on different HANA DB / instances.
For reporting ; i would like to combine calculation / analytical views from these different systems.

How do i display events from different calendars side by side and not on top of each other

I must have something set up wrong on one of my calendars on my macbook pro 10.7. On one of the calendars, the events do not make space for an event from another calendar so I can see both events sidi by side in a week or day view.

I have been having the exact same problem, however, I am not seeing your graphic. From your description, though, I can tell we have the same problem. This has only become a problem since migrating everything over to iCloud and since upgrading to Lion.

How to use attributes from different context nodes in one view?

I am VERY new to the concept of CRM and currently working on creating an alternate version of the BP_HEAD_SEARCH. With help from SAPPRESSs book 'SAP CRM Web Client' i was ble to create my own simple Z-component.
However after going back and forth the book and the forum (including this [article|https://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/CRM/Howtoaddanexistingfieldtoasearchpageofadifferent+component]) i was not able to find a solution to my problem. My current search uses BuilHeaderAdvancedSearch as context node for searching. But the search should also be able to use attributes from BuilActivity, which is directly related to BuilHeader. I can't seem to find a way to get attributes from BuilActivity into the search window of my component without having to change SAP-Standard.
Is this really the only way? Please advise on possible code and insertion point.

Any suggestions?

I have a requirement to change a report with an XML structure (simplified version) as below

On the report I need to display all the 'Names' for each of the Child (Activities) in a single field at the Parent (Protocol) level, with each Name separated by a comma.

Creating a Materialized View from different agregate queries

I want to create a materialized view. The problem is that doing so can get sticky. The view should have one row, with each column representing the return of an aggregate function on the base table. Here is a query that returns this kind of result:
select
     (select count(rowid) from pasta) "PASTA_ROWS",
     (select count(salt) from pasta where salt='F') "SALT_IS_FEMALE_ROWS"
from dual;
You can see that by selecting the subqueries from dual, I get the return to be in seperate columns. The problem is that when I try creating a Materialized view, I get an error.
ERROR at line 8:
ORA-22818: subquery expressions not allowed here
So, is there a simple SQL query that will return the values I am asking for, in seperate columns, but will not make the materialized view produce an error?

Migrate switches from different networks to a single network

Hello, I have a question on migrating C3750 switches between networks.
Our current situation is that we have two networks.
We control the cores on both networks but do not controll all the edge devices on both networks.
We can not access the IOS and configuration on a number of switches because we don't have the login information for those.
In the future if we are to take control of those edge devices how can we modify the IOS and configuration settings for multiple switches at one time?
Within the core we can modify vlans, destroy and recreate to suit our purposes, so that's easy enough.
We would rather not have to visit each and every switch and do this manually as there are over 40 switches and only 2 admins.
Manually doing this requires using the password recovery option method to change the IOS.
Once done we should be able to update the config via CISCOWorks on all the devices,
Or we could do it the other way around and update the config and then update the IOS via CISCOWorks.
Our wish is to attempt to do both via CISCOWorks or some other automated method.

Understand the following basic relationship behind transporting chagnes using TMS
....Repository Objects ->are assigned to-> Package ->are assigned to->Single Transport Layer ->is assigned to-> Single Transport Route -> Target System.
The basic concept behind standard Transport Control is that every repository object in Source System (e.g Dev-System) is assigned (via a package) to a certain transport layer, it follows that a change request can only have one target system. So, you can transport change requests from multiple clients of Development System, which you can import into QUA system's clients upon release.
With the standard Transport control program, it is not possible to create two transport routes with the same transport layer from one SAP System. Thus, The extended Transport Control program is used for transporting the changes based on Client specific Transport Routes by using the concept of Transport Group. Using this, one can transport changes to multiple systems, multiple clients using the same transport layer.

HCM Form displays data from different client

We are implementing HCM in ECC 6.0 environment with Adobe forms. When we execute Adobe form it shows information from our ER8 206 client but when it displays subsequent client it makes a switch to ER8 102 client. All our iViews are pointing to SAP_R3 alias. So wondering where we need to maintain client information or is there a way I can debug. I tried to use HTTP Watch but did not help.

Have a look at the JCos of the System object. Login to portal with user who has an administrator role then navigate to Content Admin --> WebDynpro --> Maintain JCo connections. Verify where the JCos pointing to 102 or 206?
Also check the system object properties, what is the value of client field for "Connector" property.

Query: Displaying elements from different cubes using a Multiprovider

Hi Experts,
I am trying to report from 2 cubes joining via a multiprovider. For this case the let's focus on only one dimension as below.
Cube 1
Dimension 1 - A1, A2, A3, A4, A5
Key Figures - K1, K2
Cube 2
Dimension 1 - A1, B1, B2, B3, B4
Key Figures - K1, K3, K4, K5
The only common characteristic and key figure that I have is A1 and K1. Most of the KFs are reported from Cube 2. Whenever i try to query this, I will get A2-A5 showing value 'unassigned'.
It worked fine if the no KF are dragged into the rows/columns. I have also explored the constant selection and this doesn't work.
Is there a method that I can actually report on this apart from using a Infoset?

2 renderers in layout set reading from different areas of km repository

Good Day
I have a layout set which contains 2 collection renderers.
Each renderer must display content from different areas of the km repository in a way that is controlled by the KM Navigation iView parameters "Path to root folder" & "Path to initially displayed folders"
For example :
Renderer 1 should display content from the path specified in "Path to root folder"
and Renderer 2 should display content from the path specified in "Path to initially displayed folder"
Is this possible? If yes, then how can i do this?
Renderer 1 is a custom renderer that displays folders almost like in a tree structure.
Renderer 2 is a EntryPointsCollectionGridRenderer

I don't think you are aware of the use and limitations of the KM Navigation Iview. Have you read the documentation at http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/b6/29892e91601940bb7a2cd673a1dff5/frameset.htm?

Since I don't know exactly what your layousets consists of and how you have configured the KM Navigation Iview, this is hard to say. But perhaps it is caused by you specifying a path in "Path to initially displayed folder" that is not a subordinate to "Path to root folder for navigation".

Thats what the "Path to root folder for navigation"/"Layout Set for Root Collection" and "Path to initially displayed folder"/"Layout Set" are for.
But no, it is not possible to display (merge) the content of two different folders using the KM Navigation Iview. Then you will have to create a taxonomy first or create some other kind of workaround. But I don't know if that was your aim in the first place.
