Distroying a componnet

I need help with something...
I want to distroy a component when it is not visible ....
i tried to use the dispose() method but after disposing i can still access the the component ...
Is there a way to make sure that it is completely removed from memory and doesn't exsist anymore??????

oops my mistake the component i was checking on was a static varaible of teh distroyed frame...
so when i set the frame to null the static variable didn't give a null opinter exception ...
and as a correction the dispose() method does distroy the components toooo!

In component BT126H_MAIL view send_screen, check there is method in IMPL class GET_EMAIL_TO_FROM_PARTNERS, system is population global table GT_TO with email ids.
Redefine this method and try clearing this GT_TO table data.

Can't start finder coz a file distroyed

My finder can't start when startup
just can see the wallpaper and dock but no desktop icons
then when i open the app on the dock
the app just close
It's because i install the package which recover my sartfile.bin in macintosh hd>system>library>privateframe>coreui.frame>version>a>resources
but it's the 10.6 version and i use 10.5
maybe this cause the finder crash
however there're no choice to let me replace the file in osx
but i didn't want to re-install osx, coz my hdd have 4.5gb space left
Although, i use ubuntu live cd to replace, it's said "read-only system"
i disbale the journalling, and follow a lot of guide, but still no use
can save back my osx? because i can see the files in the ubuntu but no replace
can possible to copy the file via terminal from the osx disk??
Urgent, plz give a helpful hand to me as soon.

How to Use Pacifist to Replace Deleted or Missing OS X Components
Insert the OS X Installer DVD into the optical drive. Use a simple utility like TinkerTool to toggle invisibility so you can see invisible items. Alternatively, open the Terminal application in your Utilities folder and at the prompt enter the following:
defaults write com.apple.finder AppleShowAllFiles Yes
Press RETURN.
To turn off the display of invisible files repeat the above command substituting No for Yes.
The install packages are located in the /System/Installation/ folder on the DVD.
Download the shareware utility Pacifist from VersionTracker or MacUpdate. Use it to extract a fresh copy of the missing item(s) from the file archives on your OS X installation DVD. The file archives are in the /System/Installations/ folder (use Go to Folder option in the Go menu of the Finder.)
Here are Four Basic ways to use Pacifist (courtesy of George Orville.)
A. Drag a .pkg icon onto the Pacifist window .....proceed to step 7.
B. Click on “Open Package ....” and navigate to package desired and click “Open” in the open/save window.....proceed to step 7.
C. Insert Mac OS X installer CD and when it mounts, navigate to .... Menu->Go->Go to Folder.
In the path field enter or paste ....
/Volumes/disc name/System/Installation/Packages (where disc name is the name of the CD/DVD that you inserted.
• Click on the "Go" button .....
• Drag a .pkg to Pacifist..... proceed to step 7.
The package you'll need will have to be discovered by trial and error, but for most applications you should start with the Essentials.pkg and/or Additional Essentials.pkg.
D. Insert your Mac OS X install disk 1 .... and open Pacifist.
1. In Pacifist, select "Open Mac OS X Install Packages" ... dialog may appear asking for disk 2, then disk 3 and finally disk 1 again.... {if DVD is not used)...If “Stop Loading” is selected...the procedure will stop!!!
2a. When loading is complete, a new window appears, click the triangle to display contents of each package...Select item and proceed to step 7.
2b. or click the “Find” icon in the Pacifist window and type the name of the software you need.
3. In the list that comes back, click the top most entry for the item that you want. ..... that is the one for the English language.
4. On the top of the Pacifist window, click “verify” .... you will probably be prompted for your password.
5. Enter checks for.... “verify permissions” and “verify file contents.” and click “verify” ....enter password when prompted.... you will get back output which may look like this:
20 files were scanned.
20 of 20 files were present on the hard disk.
0 of 20 files had file permissions that did not match those specified in the package.
0 of 20 files had checksums that did not match those specified in the package.
6. Click “close”. Go to step 7.
Extract or Install........
7. In the Toolbar (upper left), you now have the option to extract or install. Click a file in the lower list and those two icons will be enabled.
8. If “Extract to...” is selected.... navigate to the location where the file will be placed, select “choose”, select “extract” in new dialog that appears,authenicate , if prompted, click “OK”.
9. In the next dialog, click “Extract”.
10. If “Install” is selected... dialog will appear with the location/path of the installed software. Click “Install”
11. Type in your password, click “OK”
• Pacifist will begin to extract files.
12. In steps 8/10ß.... you also have the choice to “cancel”
Notes.....
• Pacifist may find that a file it is installing already exists on the hard disk. Pacifist will present you with an alert panel....
Stop
Leave original alone
Update ..... Default selection
Replace .... Replace option should only be used on full install packages

Snow Leopard distroyed Norton! Help!

Um... My Norton won't work now that I have upgraded to Snow Leopard. It kept telling me that it was Error 10, I think? Now it isn't giving me the message anymore but the Auto File Scan is still not functioning. The only problem I found was that Snow leopard found the file com.symantec.navapdaemon.plist incompatible... is there anything to do about this, or do I have to live w/o this Norton Function- and if so will this leave my computer unprotected?

Have to ask Norton when they will issue an update for OS X 10.6.
Not Apples fault, nor Snow Leopards.....
Incompatible 3rd party hardware and software are normal growing pains for any new OS.
3rd party developers bear the responsibility, as well as the users of such items, to confirm compatibility.
and if so will this leave my computer unprotected?

Enhancing a componnet...

In the SAP help the instructions below are what SAP give to create an enhancement. I need to be very careful when creating enhancements, having just deleted a whole component when the wizard was used to remove an enhancement. So, I tend to double-check everyting when creating enhancements now.
I have a component named BP_CONT and have an enhancement set of ZBP_CONT. I highlight the overview View and then click on the (Enhancement) button. However, I have to go through a different process than shown below, firstly being asked for the enhancemnt set, then for an application. In this case what is an application?. I most definately do not want to give an application of 'BP_CONT' as this is what caused an issue when we removed the last enhancement.

In this link the application given was ZBT111h_oppt, but the screen-shots still show the standard component BT111h_oppt, how does this work.

If you want to enhance components in the BSP Component Workbench, proceed as follows:
   1.      Start transaction BSP_WD_CMPWB.
   2.      Choose the component that you want to enhance.
   3.      Choose the enhancement set that you have defined before.
   4.      Click Enhance Component and enter a name.
   5.      Select a package.
      You can create a new package in transaction SE80.
   6.      Select a view under   Browser Component Structure   Component   Views .
      Note Note
      All gray objects have not yet been enhanced. All black objects have already been enhanced.
      End of the note.
   7.      Choose Enhance in the context menu.
      The object is created automatically in the customer namespace.
   8.      Make the necessary enhancements.
      Note Note
      The different colors of the icons to the left of the methods have the following meanings:
          Yellow means that the method is inherited*
           Green means that the method is redefined*
           Red means that the method does not exist*

Forget that I asked such a silly question. I have just read through OSS note 1122248 and all has become clear.
I did actually quickly read through this note once before but missed the fact that if you enter a new application, like ZBPCONT, it will create it if it does not exist. To a beginner when you request to display the list of entries for the application field you naturally assume that those entries are all that can be entered. No wonder so many mistakes are made.
The last time I created an enhancement for component BP_CONT I chose the application BP_CONT as well, which had disastrous consequences because when the enhancement was deleted it also managed to totally delete the component BP_CONT. This is a bug in the wizard (see notes 1459912 and 1399875).
We had to create a transport from another CRM 7 system containing just that component and apply it to our system to recreate the component.

BPM distroy the SWCV design pattern

I am designing our SWCV as following:
We need to integration one SAP R3 and 3 legacy systems using XI.
So we created one SWCV for creating Data type, interface type and interface message for SAP,another 3 SWCV for 3 legacy systems for interface structure define. The Fourth SWCV is used for containing mapping objects, like message mapping and message interface.
This is a good design as far as I know, but it comes problem when we want to use BPM，in BPM we need to define Container variable, but when we want to create an abstract interface as Container, it just allowed abstract interfaces under the specific SWCV which contains this BPM, so I am just confusing BPM will touch R3 and another legacy system, so looks like our design pattern can be used in such secnario.
Could you give me any idea about how to design SWCV if you want to use BPM? thank you very much

it should not be a problem with SWCV you can use any SWCV in BPM when using the container variable use correspoding SWCV where the coinater variable or abstract interface is desinged SWCV.

N-70 nearly distroyed

Well i have a N-70 & i was driving on a bike the other day & i accidently dropped it while driving,it broke into a million pieces but i got it reasembled & it was getting switched on & stuff but it started to give an error, "Start-up error,Contact your service provider" What does that means?How can i fix it?I did managed to get it started after the format comand but it would hang a lot & won't detect any sim card & will hang when ever i put a sim card in it.

You state that the phone does start and that you've done several things to try get it working, it is therefore likely that there is internal damage which is why having the hardware checked out is the best option. A Nokia service point may charge you just for diagnosing the fault as the phone is accidentally dmaged, so make sure you tell them not to proceed with any repairs until they have given you a price for that and let you decide what do do.

Firefox from Verson 3.6 forward is no longer appealing because of problems.

Beginning with 3.6, controls have been removed and changes have been made to the structure and user control of FF. For example:
1. The ability to control Java via the Tools -> Options -> Content has been removed
2. As a windows vs. tabs user, from 3.6 forward it becomes more and more difficult to make use of separate windows without tabs. Starting in 3.6, the search bar was changed and no longer allows new/or same window. The new window is basically an empty window requiring a repeat of the search.
3. From 4.0 forward, the status bar has been removed. Using secure websites no longer display the 'lock' icon for these website. Without the status bar, mouse over of links no longer displays the url. Many Add-ons made use of the status bar. This distroyed that ability.
4. From 4.0 forward, the Add-ons menu has been changed so completely for the worse making it nearly useless. If Add-ons are queued for replacement only ONE notice (as in the past) to reload FF is necessary and should be at the TOP of the Add-ons menu along with a reload button. In addition, the amount of information for each Add-on has been reduced compromising the effectiveness of the Add-ons menu.
5. With 6.0 forward, the new orange File flag is annoying beyond belief. In other words, it is HATED! Why not just go with menu bar control where it can be set to be hidden until summoned by key usage or mouse over. Or it can be set to be always visible.
I am certain that I am forgetting items of complaint. I started with Netscape because I so disliked IE. I still dislike IE, but I feel like you are driving me back to IE.
The design of FF should be for end user control with documented options. Whatever you do to render page display should be a separate part of FF. Of course if will be affected by options the user sets and config changes made, but the rendering engine should almost be like a plug-in to the FF controls. You are straying from the end-user control that has existed since Netscape. I am sure you will not heed my recommendation, but I recommend that you revert back to that last version BEFORE 3.6 and move forward from there. Build a control frame from that version and create a rendering engine that is a plug-in. As you move forward, primarily the rendering engine will change.
With all of the terrible changes you have made, you have been destroying your Add-ons creator community. Is this also your intention? If so, you are starting into a customer relations battle that you will lose.

You might want to consider extending the lifespan of your G5 by using a different operating system. I put [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lubuntu Lubuntu] on a G5 recently and it runs the newest Firefox just fine. Lubuntu (pronounced Loo-boon-two) is sort of an Ubuntu lite - a user-friendly version of Linux. There are many applications to choose from, and it's all free.
The PowerPC I did this on was one of the old Bondi Blue ones. Firefox had no problem running on it at all and has all plug-ins needed for video, audio, etc.. I gave it to a church and it's running fine for them.
You can download old versions of Firefox, but you'll just open yourself up to security problems if you do.
FYI: The Mac operating system is built on Linux.

Windows XP on my nLenovo 300 N 500

I purchased the notebook from one of the dealers of lenovo in Burlington Canada, Wintronics Computers at the end of March 2009. The option with the notebook was XP pro upgradeable to Vista business. I took XP which is what they told me notebook comes with. Anyways, they never gave me any drivers CD, any key for the Windows product, any CD or DVD for the windows.
In a month note book not being used much the windows got corrupted and I took it to them on which they put it on me saying I must have installed something which may have damaged the XP. Just a background info. I have been using Compaq EvoN620C notebook for almost 6 years now without a single breakdown in windows and I myself is systems Engineer. I took responsibility and they reinstalled the windows XP for me and took a price for it. Not even a month passed and again not used the way I have been using my Compaq notebook, day before yesterday, some windows files got corrupted again and on start up I am getting Windows/system32/hal.ddl file corrupt, please reinstall. I tried whatever options I can and it is not going any further than this error. I read XP site for the error and one of the suggestion is if nothing works, that means u have some bad sectors on the hard drive and boot.ini record may have been corrupted. I am now thinking that may be the had drive itself is not good or the XP version they installed is not the good original copy of it.
I am a very dissatisfied customer after purchasing my first lenovo from a dealer of Lenovo, as mentioned earlier. Please some one let me know how I can fix this issue since my note book is still under warranty till Feb. 2010.
I will appreciate some help. I have put in too many hours fixing and reinstalling my softwares on this notebook, that I never even used the notebook for any work. I took the whole back up last saturday using Norton Ghost and that seems to also not loading up from the DVD may be it is not a bootable CD backup)...
Let me know, what am I missing and what I should have gotten from the dealer when I bought this notebook, or I will just repair the windows installation every month from them for a price.

First off all, when I bought my notebook (3000 N500), there was only recovery dvd's for windows xp prof. delivered.
You can call at Lenovo/Ibm for one free copy of vista bussiness recovery dvd's. Thats what I got told in Germany and received after some days.
Your problem with distroyed boot.ini could depend by a bad hd, but I would try to make a complete reinstall first.

EPM 11.1.2: Foundation Services config fails on Windows 2008 SP1 server.

Hi,
I installed EPM 11.1.2 on Windows 2008 SP1, 32-bit. The installation succeeded (no errors in logs). However, when I run EPM Configurator to configure Foundation Services, it fails.
Environment:
EPM Server: Windows 2008 SP1 32-bit
RDBMS: Oracle Enterprise Edition 10.2.0.4 (running on remote AIX 5.3 TL 8 server)
Oracle Client: 10.2.0.4 (full client install)
The configtool.log (see below) indicates that the program cannot find the reg.properties file. I checked the server and this file does not exist. The log file also reports non-existing classpath entries (not sure if this is related). The registry.log file (see below) reports a jdbc driver error: java.sql.SQLSyntaxErrorException: ORA-00917: missing comma.
I submitted a service request with Oracle Support, but the support engineer said that installation and configuration errors are outside the scope of technical support.
Any ideas/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Yes. I downloaded and extracted the additional components. I have also dropped and recreated the HSS repository. Each time I have tried to reinstall, I have uninstalled all EPM/Oracle components, removed registry keys, removed EPM environment variables and removed references to oracle in the PATH environment variable.
I have tried installing/configuring HSS 11.1.2 on both Windows 2008 SP1 64-bit and Windows 2008 SP1 32-bit. The configuration error is the same.
I was able to get my SR reassigned to a different support analyst, and we are working on troubleshooting now.
If you can think of anything else to try, let me know.
BTW...on the 32-bit server, the page file maximum is 16GB (should be enough)?

TO get all values in survey data

I have a problem when i am trying to fetch the data of CRM transaction. This is used in (Questionnaire of CRMD_ORDER) transaction. The Questionnaire answer is usually more than 255 characters. But the FM im using is returning only 255 characters and rest other characters are discarded.

How the JVM SHOULD be distributed (interesting)

What Java's Problem Is:
As far as I can see the only problem that java has these days is the client inconsistencys, this is due to Microsoft and there attempted dustruction of the HUGE java language, and Microsoft has succeeded wonderfully thus far, which is sad. I feel it is only due to the way Sun markets Java, not that they have not tried but they are going about it the wrong way.
Sun Feels They Are Being Oppressed:
It seems to me that Sun has a feeling of being oppressed by Microsoft, they see the company inflicting standards on the computing world that are self centered and platform specific, this is why java was created, to break that mold and it does it wonderfully but java has not gained populatiry because of marketing technique, no, it has gained popularity because it REALLY is what it is cracked up to be....A better way of doing things....
That is why sun landed the title of being one the the most innovative companys today by the magazine �PC World� ranking 13th place while Microsoft landed 137th (i think).
Yet with all this technology sun does not try to inflict it's standards on the PC world, well you might think what about all those court cases, for instance the most recent that suggests that Sun wants to FORCE Microsoft to install their JVM. I think stuff like this just slows Sun down, as we learned with previous cases Microsoft is just to big to fight and if you do manage to win it will be 3-4 years later. If you think about it time is money, why waste time? Trying to leach off of Microsoft is NOT the way to inflict standards, infact it is one of the worst ways because by the time you would have won microsoft would have bullied the java enviroment to it's grave (umm .net). So you may ask how do we enforce standards without the help of microsoft, the answer is more simple than you may think yet for some reason it has not been thought of by Sun. So far this is what has brought microsoft to the top.

Innovation is not on this list, Microsoft does not have a innovative bone in it's body at the moment, it just buys technology that it needs, and has flashy GUI's, and a huge amount of support in the software industry. This is why according to the magazine �PC World� microsoft ranks #137 in innovation while Sun sits at a satisfying ranking of #13.
What this means is that Sun just is more innovative, it has technology out there that could be used but it can't because we have clients with Version 1.3 Java software on their PC's, Either that or Propietary and NOT PLATFORM INDEPENDENT Microsoft JVM's which Microsoft will again start to distribute in 2004 on XP, this brings me to my first point, if we are going to have a platform independent language it needs to come from ONE POINT that will be implemented by all Manufactures (the W3C for instance). You may be thinking well how do you enforce the SUN JVM if microsoft does not pack it with windows? The answer is you do what most new companys do and that is goto the PC Vendors. I would like to point out that microsoft is for the most part ONLY a software company (aside from some of there PC products), but they do not build and distribute PC systems, thus microsoft does not control what can go on a PC, I would like to point out the growing Linux threat to windows, more particulary the linux based operating system (Lindows) recently lindows has aquired a deal with walmart to sell there operating system as a subsitute to windows, this worked out phenominaly and right now walmart cannot seem to keep enough of the pc's on the shelves (since they cost only about 199$). Case point linux has also grown enormously due to �Home Editions� of linux (Red Hat). The first point I would like to make is that Sun should be PAYING vendors to install the SUN JVM over the microsoft one, this takes care of a few of Sun's problems (Not as much industry support as microsoft, and upgrading the JVM) all this can be done for a measily 5-6 million a year and will reach about 70% of the PC sector, infact I am almost certain this is how microsoft started out.
One Of Java's Big Problems JVM Inconsistencys
Now if Sun locks 70% of the PC market that will already be a large boost for java, but the question is how to make the percentage grow to 100%... I would now like to point out the company Macromedia, macromedia products are phenominal, and have changed the way media is seen on the web, particularly the Flash product that macromedia sells, now at this moment macromedia has stated that >90% flash support exists on the web today and >70% is with the most current version of flash, as I see it infact flash is one of the most universally supported pieces of software even more so than microsoft, this is why you see flash movies on yahoo, cnet, amazon, and even MSN! So you may ask what made flash what it is today? Well as described before flash is supported and installed by PC vendors, and even if it is not you can bearly go any place on the web with out getting a message stating that you should upgrade to the most current version of flash, this is due to the wide support on the web..... Now on the other hand if I run a java applet and the applet was compiled with some new features that were not supported in version 1.3 (Swing for example) we will get an error message stating that the package cannot be found and the applet will not run...You do not get any messages to upgrade, no window prompts, nothing..which brings me to my next point the java compiler should include the code (a pre JVM 1.3 version & microsoft JVM compatiable) that will prompt you to install the most current version of Java you already see default loaders for swing, a plugin check should also be included in all programs to ensure that you have to most recent version, and if you do not then it will send you to the Sun Website, or display a update manager or something. Getting an error saying that the applet packages are not found does not help the user any it only frusterates them, you have to physically provide a remedy to the problem at hand. This should also check to see if the microsoft JVM is installed and if it is prompt to upgrade to the Sun JVM, this will pretty much distroy the use of the microsoft JVM.
This takes care of the enforcing standards part, braudens the Industry Wide Support, and protects the java enviroment, last but not least you need to promote the software, Java already does this excellently with webservices, and other things but there are more consumers than businesses and Java should also be concentrating more on the excellent 3d support that they have, the networking features of java, ect. Take OpenOffice.org for instance the product has grown emmensly since it has started and much uses Java API's, you would see much growth in Java if you provided other products like Open Office for free, for instance a Quake Like Multiplayer game in Java 3D distributed on an open source enviroment, in applet form (since applets are exclusivly a invention of Java), and then have a couple of servers set up that people can play for free on Sun's site, more networking app's for free, ect. You have to promote some of the more flashy features of Sun this way in order to see more growth and support and for free (learn from linux which is quickly becoming a HUGE threat for microsoft) if sun is making 13 billion a year I see no problem to them sporting a couple of servers with some USEFUL online apps/games/ect that sport how innovative java really is, and if they really need to they can have all the banners on stuff like the online games, take Http://www.runescape.com that sports an average of 10,000 users at any moment using the cross platform Java 3d API and they do it for free! All open source free products should be on Suns website, it shows how strong of a community Sun really is, instead of having it on some other website like www.openoffice.org that only sports Sun's name maybe a few times you might occasionally see a logo.. it would be better to maybe get open office from an address like www.openoffice.sun.com, maybe try a www.games.sun.com address or a www.apps.sun.com and then advertise the stuff that can be found at the Sun website. Sun should be proud to be open source, it is the only thing microsoft can't buy....

Since when is "sun" open source. I imagine you mean java. Java isn't open source, what makes you think it is? You can get the source for it and modify it to suit ur needs as per the license but this isn't really open source.. is it?
