Do I need the main softwares to run executables

We are using LabView 6.1, and IMAQ 2.5. I am working on a system that is used for data and image acquisition, in which we use a National Instrument (NI) PCI 1409, which is an analog frame grabber. I also have purchased IMAQ deployment engine. I am planning to make executables of the program I had.
I know that I need the application Builder, But what version and how much it would cost me.
I need also to know, If I want to run my system by one of the executable versions of the program I had , do I need to install LabView and IMAQ softwares on the new target machine? Also Do I need to get the IMAQ hardware card or board on to the target machine in order to run the system I have on the target machine?
How many licenses I nee
d to have to run these executables on a target machine?

To use LabVIEW to deploy applications you only need to purchase the correct Application Builder for your operating system, which I assume is Windows since you are using NI-IMAQ. NI-IMAQ is the hardware driver for the frame grabber and allows you to acquire, display, and save images. There are no additional fees or licenses for distributing applications with NI-IMAQ.
IMAQ Vision is an add-on toolset for LabVIEW used for image processing. IMAQ Vision includes functions like pattern matching, histogram, edge detection, guaging, and many others. If you are going to use IMAQ Vision functions in your application, then you will need to purchase one vision deployment license for each target machine. The deployment engine covers one target machine in addition to your
development machine. If you are only using NI-IMAQ then there are no licensing issues.
To run executables on a target machine, you do not need to install LabVIEW. I have provided a few links below for your convenience.

  • "You need the Rosetta software to run -bash" ????

I've finally upgraded my old PB to the latest MBP. I have used the Terminal to run Ruby, RVM and Rails, etc.
I've used the Migration assistance when starting this new machine.
But Terminal kicks me out with this: "You need the Rosetta software to run -bash" I don't want to run Rosetta and I would think bash isn't PowerPC software.
I've googled this but don't see this mentioned anywhere. With Terminal out of commission, I'm unsure what file to open that will give me a clue as to my setup. thanx, sam

/bin/bash on a default MacBook Pro Mac OS X installation is:
    file /bin/bash
    /bin/bash: Mach-O fat file with 2 architectures
meaning it has both intel and PowerPC code.
So I would wonder if you are invoking /bin/bash, or if you have somehow pulled your PowerPC bash copy over during the migration of your stuff from your PowerBook.
My Mac OS X 10.6.6 /bin/bash chksum is
    cksum /bin/bash
    3855549735 1346544 /bin/bash
You might also want to check your Terminal preferences, as there are ways to override the default shell invocation that might have been migrated over from your PowerBook.
You might also look at what your default shell is set to (should be /bin/bash)
    dscl .
    cd Users
    read yourunix_namehere
    quit
    Or as one line
    dscl . -read $HOME shell

They already damaged you Mac by fooling with the BootCamp partition without knowing what they were doing. I wouldn't suggest haveing them help you do anything.
Here is the article that describes the Recovery HD: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4718?viewlocale=en_US&locale=en_US
First, see if you can boot into the Recovery HD. Restart and hold down cmd-r until you see the gray screen. It should boot into Recovery. If your Mac shipped with Lion or Mountain Lion, it will boot into Internet Recovery if it cannot boot into the Recovery HD on the hard drive.
They should have tried this at the store.

Your only way is if you have the version that was compatible on your computer such as in the recycle bin/trash or in a computer file backup. In that case delete the current version that is in your iTunes App library and replace it with the older version. Then sync.

  • I need to connect to my work PC remotely from my macbook. I think I need the citrix software. But which version and what is the procedure?

I need to connect to my work PC remotely from my macbook. I think I need the citrix software. But which version and what is the procedure?

Probably don't need citrix software. Is you computer in the office on LAN? Also, is the office computer setup for remote access? If it's windows then its going to be running Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP) natively. If it is in fact RDP that your windows machine at work is using then you need to download RDC for mac. I use it to connect to my work computer using RDP (don't tell the "Info Tech" dude at my office) and if your not too tech savvy I would suggest trying GOTOMYPC. It's alot easier to setup. But if you have experience in setting up remote access and your Windows office machine is connected through LAN and your IT TECH has allowed port forwarding then you should be just fine with RDP and it's free!!! But are you logging onto your actual computer at work or logging into the "SERVER" through your work machine... believe me it's two completely different things.
    Basically, you'll need:
    1. Physichal IP address of work computer. (If office computer is on WIFI this won't work) use IPCONFIG commands in command prompt
    2. Port forwarding needs to be enabled by your IT Tech
    3. Remote Desktop settings will need to be enabled on the office computer
    4. Download RDC for mac (search google)
    5. Type the physical IP address into RDC and hit connect... type in credentials and your all done.
We need lots more details though... there are many ways to connect remotely and if your office already has a system in place for remote access then any details would be helpful in determining which method will suit you best. If it's citrix just have your IT dude set it up. If you think you need citrix then good luck....

  • I really need the compatibility software for windows when installing it?

I have my installation disk of windows 7, but when i try to download the compatibility software i get a connexion error every time i try to download it, but the final question is if im going to have problems with windows if i dont get that software, i have a brand new imac 21.5 intel core i5 quadcore 2.5 ghz and amd radeon hd 6750m 512mb.

If you are trying to install MS Windows on your iMac you need to use Boot Camp (free) or run virtualization software such as Parallels or VMWare Fusion. To install Win 7 under Boot Camp open Boot Camp Assistant (Applications - Utilities - Boot Camp Assistant) and follow the on-screen directions. To run  Parallels or Fusion you will need to purchase a license of their applications. Remember though when you install Windows on a Mac it is susceptible to all the malware any MS Windows box is. However the good news is even in the Windows partition becomes diseased this will not affect OS X. If you decide to use Boot Camp and have questions about it or MS Windows please post in the Boot Camp forum. You can also find information about running Windows by clicking Windows on a Mac

  • "Could not find the main class" when running a jar

Hi, I'm trying to create and run a jar from my application, but I can't figure out how to properly set an entry-point. Looking at the Java Tutorials http://java.sun.com/docs/books/tutorial/deployment/jar/index.html I still can't get it to work.
I have a directory myApp, which contains a directory images and some class files, including mainClass.class. I also have a manifest Manifest.txt in the directory myApp with the following line:
    Main-Class: mainClass.class
    + one empty line
I create a jar successfully, while inside the myApp directory, with the following command:
    jar cfm myApp.jar Manifest.txt *.class images\*.*
I then proceed to run the jar with the following command:
    java -jar myApp.jar
    and receive the following error:
Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: myApp/class
My completely uneducated guess is that there is something wrong with my manifest. The tutorial says that the line should be:
    Main-Class: MyPackage.MyClass
I'm assuming that I get the error because I didn't specify a package, which I didn't do because I didn't know what to put there. Do I even have a package?
Can anyone tell me what I've done wrong? thanks.

One problem is you are specifying a file name instead of a class name. It probably should beMain-Class: mainClassA good test is to run your app before jaring it - if you run it with "java mainClass" then the Main-Class attribute must be mainClass.
Also class naming conventions say that class names should start with a capital letter - MainClass for example. It is just a convention, but it is easier to get help when you follow conventions.

  • Could not find the main class error with executable jar

    Hello,
I have troubles creating an executable jar file and I ran out of ideas how to solve it so I would appreciate some help.
I have created a jar file with the export function in eclipse
    the Manifest.MF file contains:
    Manifest-Version: 1.0
Main-Class: view.AppTennisViewI tried starting the file with a batch file which contains following code:
    @echo off
    javaw -classpath c:\TennisHSQLDB_GC2\tennisApp.jar
    @start javaw -jar tennisApp.jar
exitthe batch file and the jar are both located in c:\TennisHSQLDB_GC2.
When i try command line I get the same result.
I also tried alternate statements such as SET CLASSPATH iso javaw -classpath and including the classpath in the manifest file but no luck. It keeps given me the error: could not find the main class. program will exit
Anyone any suggestions for my problem?

    nevermind, found it.
    classpath in manifest was incorrect

    Hi Mark,
You need to Update to OS X 10.6.8 = Snow Leopard so you can Update iTunes to Sync your iPhone.
Upgrading to Snow Leopard = OS X 10.6.x
It is Not available as a download... It is a Paid Upgrade.
    Do this first...
Check that your Mac meets the System Requirements for Snow Leopard...
    Snow Leopard Tech Specs
    http://support.apple.com/kb/SP575
If so... Purchase a Snow Leopard Install Disc...
    http://store.apple.com/us/product/MC573Z/A/mac-os-x-106-snow-leopard
    Other countries...
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HE57
After the Successful Install, run Software Update to get the latest updates for Snow Leopard and iTunes.
Be sure to make a Backup of your Current System Before Upgrading...

  • I need the installation software

I own a 20 gig iPod and my mom brought her new 30 gig video iPod home from work without the software so she could take it on vacation tomorrow. I can't get iTunes to recognize it, even after running the updater and restoring it. My assumption is that I need to have a different software for this iPod (though that doesn't make much sense to me...)
Any suggestions or ways to get ahold of the software?
    Thanks

Sorry - I got it working

  • Can I transfer CC for Teams membership (Photoshop) to a new user on the same machine without uninstalling and reinstalling software? i.e. one user left new user started needing the same software.

We have Creative Cloud for Teams, most users using Photoshop.  One user left the company and has been replaced by another user.  I removed the first user's membership and assigend it to the new user.  When she runs Photoshop, she gets a 00 Days left message.  Photoshop still seems to be useable right now but I'm wondering if I need to uninstall Photoshop and re-install it using her credentials?  Seems like a lto of unnecessary work to me.

    Hi Batterry,
There is no need for removal of the product . You can simply launch the product , click on Help>Sign out . Close the product and sign in with the new user's Adobe ID & Password. This should activate the product .
