Document numbers missing in BI (Delta)

HI,
we are extracting data from data source 0FI_GL_4 ( Daily dalta)
When i reconcile the data from BW to R/3 , observed that on GL account showing wrong values in BW.
Collected all document numbers associated to that perticular GL Account (GL Account updated in 40 Document numbers and 39 documnet numbers came to BW and one was missing as it is there in R/3)
When i check in FB03 there no reverce document for missing one and the time of posting also looks fine.
I got the same issue couple of times.
I tried to find the root cauuse for this but couldnt.
Could you please elobarate why document numbers are missing in BW from R/3.
Regards,
Siva.

Hi Mahalingam,
There could be various reasons for document number skipping. SAP has given various notes on this.
Note 175047 - Causes for FI document number gaps (RF_BELEG). The note is very comprehensive and has a reference of lot many notes.
Thanks

  • Document numbers missing while posting a batch of GL documents via BDC FB01

    Hi all,
While posting a batch of GL documents using a BDC program for FB01, all the documents are posted except for a few document numbers getting skipped while posting. For instance, in posting 100 documents, if 101-200 is the document numbers expected to be generated, we are getting a list of doc. numbers from 101-185 and 187-201 thereby skipping the document number 186. But when we post another set of GL documents, the skipped doc. number 186 is first taken and remaining from doc. number 202. Could any one have comes across this scenario or somebody can help to throw some light for the reason behind this. Thanks.

  • Missing document numbers in marketing documents

    Hi All,
Why document numbers are missed in marketing documents? For Example I post from 1 to 10 numbers in GRPO.Missed numbers like from 4 to 7 numbers.

    S.S

    Hi,
The same situation i have seen when multiple users are adding the same type of document.
For example if 5 users are punching the data in sale order at the same time, Possibilities are there to get numbers to skip and miss.
Also need to check, if it happens when two users using same user id and password to raise same type of document.

  • Align MM and FI Document Numbers in Logistics Invoice Verification

    Hi All,
    Need help!
Requirement : Align MM and FI Document Numbers in Logistics Invoice Verification
Followed all the steps as per the SAP documentation : Materials Management > Logistics Invoice Verification > Incoming Invoice > Number Assignment > Maintain Number Assignments for Accounting Documents
As per the SAP documentation the configuration done should be enough to pass on MM Document No to FI document. But its not working as expected.
    I have done the following:
    1. Assigned MM and FI documents the same number range and both are in sync.
    2. MM Documents are configured to be internally generated,
    3. FI  Documents are configured to be externally generated.
While during MIRO system generates errror and tells "Accouting Doc number are externally configured" (Not remembe the exact error) ? What is the solution for this issue. I need to align the MM and FI Document Numbers in Logistics Invoice Verification.
Gone through articles on internet and all discuss the same steps and configuration.
    http://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/BPX/HowtoAlignMMandFIDocumentNumbersinLogisticsInvoice+Verification
Kindly provide inputs as to what could be the missing configuration or probable solution.
    Thanks!

    Hi,
Following step should be missing in your system:-
*Step 4. Update MM number range assignment. The last step is to assign the MM number range to your MM transaction via IMG menu path Materials Management>Logistics Invoice Verification>Incoming Invoice>Number Assignment>Maintain Number Assignments for Logistic Documents>Transaction - Assign Number ranges. Two transactions are available. LIV contains the following two internal transactions that are used for the MM document number determination:
    u2022RD: manual invoice entry (MIRO)
u2022RS: cancel, reverse invoice (MR8M), evaluated receipt settlement (MRRL), EDI invoice receipt, invoicing plan (MRIS), and revaluation (MRNB).
You need to update the number range interval for transaction RD.*
    Please check.

  • Duplicate Document Numbering after Upgrade

Hi! Can anyone please help me to find-out a resolution for the Duplicate Document Numbering found after the SAP B1 upgrade from 2007 to 8.8?
This report has been found from the Administration -> Utilities.

The previous company database was a trial database, but the production version of the same is showing the following (missing & doubled) List in "Check Document Numbering -> Document Serial Numbering List"
Missing List - 52 rows (a sample from the top is given below) -
    Document     Number     To Number
    Checks for Payment     1     3931
         3933     6925
         6932     6932
         6963     6963
         7014     7014
and in right had side in the same as above way, the Doubled list - 16 rows
BUT I have check the "Checks for Payment Documents" the documents there shows their "Check Internal ID" 1 to 691. Then from where the above numbers have been detected by the system?
ANOTHER INTERESTING FACT IS THAT THE above testing I have done on SBO 8.8 PL12, hence I have got the "Upgrade Control Report" as well .... and this showing the following "Non-matching quantities" -
    #     Table     Records Before     Records After
    1     OINM     20284     17342
I have checked the upgrade log-file ... there were no errors. BUT at the time of "Pre-upgrade check" of this company database the warning "common database version differs from the company database version" always.

  • How document numbers can be updated in New GL table

    Hi,
We have SAP version ECC 5 and application patch level is 8. While we check balances of GR/IR Clearing A/c through FS10N in period 5 under credit posting which is being differed with FBL3N balances as Rs. 24,284.62.  We have identified 5 document numbers are not updated in New GL table which are FAGLFLEXA and FAGLFLEXT and Rs 24,284.62 is being differed in GL Trial report as S_ALR_87012277. Here Debit and Credit figure is not matching rs. 24,284.62. New GL is  not implemented in our company.
Therefore I would request you to kindly guide me how those 5 document numbers which are missing in new gl table can be updated those two tables are FAGLFLEXA and FAGLFLEXT.
    Best Regards,
    Anindita

    Hi,
According your question what i understood is there is difference in the amount of FS10N i.e. GL balances and FBL3n Line item display ,the gl is GRIR clearing account the amount is showing GL Balance but the same amount is not showing in FBL3N right.
If yes goto FS00 and check line item display is selceted are not if not selected ,Select the check box and goto se38 and run RFSEPA01 program and then Then enter that GL account number and Document number 1 to 999999999 and company code and run & then check again fs10n and FBL3n it will match.

  • Check Document Numbering report intepretation

I am looking information in Check Document Numbering utility. Usually i dont get results, but what happens if I do ? Any Note , or PDF ?

    Hi,
    From the Online Help :
    Check Document Numbering
In this window, define the required selection criteria for duplicated and missing numbers in a document series. The error and information messages are displayed in the status bar.
From the Documentation resource centre :
The CHECK DOCUMENT NUMBERING report provides a simple way to check the continuity of all documents and ensure that numbers have not been assigned twice. This report checks for any gaps in numbering and for double assignment of numbers within the document number ranges. If no data is found, the assignment of document numbers is correct and without omissions (within the definition).

  • Documents numbers iCloud

On the macbook pro were open multiple documents numbers. All documents from the service icloud. The computer was rebooted. After rebooting and opening one of the numbers of documents missing from the list of icloud. All other files in the list are present. This file was valuable information. What could happen to the file? Where can I find it? Is there a backup at Apple?

Thank you! That was news to me.
I found the document in Time Machine and went back to January 1:st. That was odd. What I found was a document dated back in July of 2013 with a size of 0 byte. I am sure that I had the document open last week and the real size of it is around 9 megabyte. I even went back to the beginning of december and found the same 0 byte file from July.
To me this suggest that Time Machine somehow retroactively changed the file in backups.
    Best regards, Niklas

  • Restore Document Numbering file

    Good day all,
When I run the Check Document Numbering exercise you do before the Year end procedure I get an error report (i.e. missing documents or duplicated numbers). I was advised by Srujal Patel on this forum to use the "Restore Numbering File" feature unser the Support Desk in B1. I just wanted to know what effect (if any) this has on the actual document numbering on the existing documents in SAP? Does it change any numbers etc?
Please some advice if you have used this feature?
    Kind regards,
    Greeshma

    HI Rahul,
Thanks for the reply but i was told this will resolve the problem of duplicate or missing numbers in the document numbering series. You get these errors in the form of a report when you run the "Check Document Numbering" utility under "Utilities" in B1.
I just wanted to know if iuse this Restore functionality it wont affect document numbers in the system. E.g. if a customer got Invoice number 545 they will still see that they have that invoice even if the number was duplicated and another customer has the same invoice number?
    Kind regards,
    Greeshma
