Document upload with new authorization type

Dear All,
A document "x" has been loaded in the system with the authorization group "MEIN" . Now the same document is to be loaded in the system with another new authorization type "SWE".While doing so, the version is being taken as "Version 2" .Wheareas there is no revision in the document, and the document is the same as the initial one "x".
Can anyone guide me as to how to have the same description of the same document and yet, upload it with a new authorization group without the version climbing +1?

Issue with New Document in a document library with multiple content types

Hi,
I have a created a custom list definition based on a document library. I added 3 content types in this list, one is a document set (lets call it DOCSET), the two others are content types inheriting from Document (DOCA and DOCB).
I deployed the list definition with a site scoped feature and the list instance with a web scoped feature. After activating the two features, the list is created and the content types are present in the list.
When I click in the New Document button and choose either the DOCA or DOCB content type, a Word document opens and the DOCA content type is always associated to this Word document.
With SharePoint Manager 2013 I saw that the template.dotx document was not in the Forms/DOCA or Forms/DOCB folder.
So I decided to remove all the content types from the list definition and add them by code with the ListAdded event receiver. I used list.ContentTypes.Add to add the content types to the list.
With this method the templates are correctly copied from the template.dotx in the RootFolder/Forms folder of my list. These templates have the rights content type id, but the New Document button still does not work properly.
So I looked at the Content Types inside my library and saw that the DocumentTemplateUrl linked to the RootFolder/Forms/template.dotx and not the RootFolder/Forms/DOCA/template.dotx or RootFolder/Forms/DOCB/template.dotx.
I debugged my code to look closer and see that right after the list.ContentTypes.Add, the DocumentTemplateUrl is correclty set but when my EventReceiver finishes, the DocumentTemplateUrl get back to the RootFolder/Forms/template.dotx.
Have you any idea why this is not working ?

Hi,
Per my understanding, there is an issue about the DOCA and DOCB content types which inherits from Document Content Type in your custom list definition.
By default, if there is a custom content type inherits the OOTB Document Content Type, it will also inherits the template.dotx file from the OOTB Document Content Type.

No accounting document generated while new condition type is added

Hi
I added a new condition type to the pricing procedure. While creating the invoice if i try giving a value to the new condition type then i get the message "No accounting document generated", but when i leave it as blank then there is no problem with the a/c docs.
I assume I haven't done the complete settings correctly. Pls help.
I am using RVAA01 as the pricing procedure for standard order.

As I do not have access to your system, can not comment in details.
But if I have to add a tax codition in pricing, what I would do is :
Create a tax condition, assign it in tax procedure.
Copy it as sales pricing condition.
Assign it in pricing procedure.
Create condition record for tax condition in VK19.
Check tax code in FTXP & its assignment in OB40.
Create condition record for MWST.
I think you need to check the above configuration.

How to assign Release strategy with new PO type

Hi experts,
I have created new PO type but the same is not mapped with release strategy at the time of raising purchase order.
I have done the following steps :
a ). Creation of new doc type via SPRO > MM > PURCHASING > PO > DEFINE PO TYPE
b). Edit characterstics in release strategy via path SPRO > MM > PURCHASING > PO > RELEASE PROECURE FOR PO > EDIT CHARACTERSTICS > VALUES ( MENTION NEW PO TYPE & DESC. HERE )
Still I am unable to find release strategy tab in purchase order. Please help.
Suggestions / Rewards will be highly appreciated.

1 Following are the imp charecrticities ct04 you have to define
Order type (Purchasing)
Plant
Total net order value ( with table & field)
2.check or create relese group is assighned to appropriate class cl01 (with above charecricities )
3.define relese code ( in this u define release level --supervisor , manager etc)
4.release indicator (block ,release)
5.define the group with strategy in that specify prerequisites,release status,classification (specify to the document & plant you want to maintain)
6.create po me22. In me29 you can release it( unless u cant process)

Problem with new format type in spool

Hi All,
I have created new format type with 65 pages & 140 columns size. I have assigned it to corresponding device type which is copied from standard device type. Then i have assigned to output device type.
But when i print using this new format type its printing in half of the page width. What should be dont if i want print in whole paper width.
When i use standard format type x_65_132 , its printing in whole page width of 132 columns. But with my new format type its printing all line content , but its printing in very small font within half of the page width. It should print in whole page. Please help me to print in whole page width with bigger font as in 132 column options.

I don't know what is printer initialization string and the other escape sequences, how to get modified these please let me know.

Linkage of transaction event key with new movement type

I have have created a new Z movement type and 1 new Transaction event key. I have to link my new Transaction event key with my new Movement type. That i can see in OBYC.

Simple way is, check the TEK of existing movement type & it's assignment in OBYC.
Now You will be able to decide how your postings can be done.
I hope you have copied the movement type & then replaced it's TEK & account modifier according to your requirement.

KONV not getting updated with new condition type value

Hi Vasu,
It was created in the same way then I have assigned calculation formula . For invoice it is comming fine but for the intercompany billing it is not showing any value in Contition tab for this particular condition type. For this when I checked in KNOV table it is showing condition type but the value (KONV_KAWART) is comming out zero and due to this reason it is not showing value in intercompany billing ->condition. Do I need to write code for this?

Issue with new Condition type..

I want to create a Condition Type for VAT %, where we can insert value like...
5% on 60% of Basic Price OR
3% on 70% of Basic Price OR
1% on 80% of Basic Price
Note: - We have try with New Tax code and it's working... But through it, we require mew Tax code as per change condition..
That's why we require a Condition Type for variable %...

Hi,
You can do this through two ways.
Option 1
Add new condition type in tax procedure and Make access sequence say with doc type and tax code.
So for old PO's make the variable condition as 100% and for the new ones you need to create that many tax codes.
Option 2:
Write a routine for alternate base that is to be attached in tax procedure. Make a condition type in MM pricing procedure that is statistical and calculates value on base price. Read this base price in the routine. So with this you will not make that many tax codes.

Having templates appear when users click the "New Document" button in a document library with custom content types

Hi all,
I'm using SharePoint Online, but I'm seeing the same behavior in an on-prem 2013 instance as well. My situation is this:
- I've created a document library
- I've created a custom content type and attached a custom document template to it
- I've assigned the custom content type to the document library, and disabled the default "document" option
What I'm expecting to see is that when I browse to the document library and click "new document", that either a) a picklist appears allowing me to specify the document template I want (using the custom template I specified) or b) open the custom
template itself. That doesn't happen - instead, when I click new document I'm prompted to upload a file, which seems to contradict the whole point of using a custom content type/custom document template combo.
Am I missing something? The custom template isn't in the Forms library, which seems to be a problem if I wanted to use the custom document template instead of the default.
Ideally I'd like a menu like the one shown here:

What you have done is by design behavior.
If you want to show the Office document templates list (e.g. below image from your above referenced link) to select when click "+new document" link, this will need to install Office Web App 2013 which provides this feature,
you can new document and see it is using WopiFrame.aspx page, please see more from below article about how to configure OWA 2013 for SharePoint 2013 on-premise.

Pick List with New Order Type

I am creating Production Order with My own Order Type ZOEF same as PP01. But after releasing the order it is not displayed in CO27. While PP01 created order is shown properly. What am I missing?

Please check with the Qty withdrawn field & final issue indicator at component overview of order type ZOEF.
what is your order status, Release the order and try with CO27.

Assuming that you mean version 10.1.2.<something> when you say "...using Forms Developer 10 ...", you can use WebUtil to do this. Information about WebUtil is include in the Forms Builder online help. The Forms WebUtil demo can also be helpful as it includes examples of uploading/downloading. Keep in mind that this is a "demo". Questions or concerns about this demo should be posted here, in the forum and not to Support as they can only offer limited assistance with demo/example code.

Issue with new movement type created copy of 633

Hi,
We have copied 633 and 634 movement types and created a new 933/934.
When we are doing Sales Order costing we are getting the below error.
"No posting string can be determined in table T156SC"
When i check, the entries in T156SC are identical for 633 and 933.
No entries are there in table T156SY for both 633 and 933
Entries are there for 633 in T156S, but no entries for 933. (The value string WA01 is available in this table).
Can anyone please suggest how to resolve this ?

You should have 2 versions of Pages on your Mac.
Pages 5 is in your Applications folder.
Pages '09/'08 is in your Applications/iWork folder.
Apple has removed over 100 features from Pages 5 and added many bugs:

Batch uploading to a document library with content types

Hi,
I have a document library with two content types. Now I need to upload documents to this document library. However, if I have large number of files, then uploading through web UI is a pain as metadata will not be attached. How should I automate it from
my computer using powershell without relying on Administrator to run the powershell script. Or is there any other way to do it without using powershell? or can powershell be run remotely from an end user computer?
Note I am using SharePoint 2010.

According to your post, my understanding is that you want to butch upload files to document library with content types.
There are two good tools in CodePlex which can batch upload files with content types, you can have a look at them.
