  • I need field replaceable unit documentation for Satellite L100-108

Hello, I need field replaceable unit documentation for Toshiba Satellite L100-108 because I want to disassembly the screen.
    Can you help me?
    Thanks.

I doubt that other notebook manufactures are release her service manuals. Why should they do it?
A few years ago I had a notebook from another manufacture and I couldnt download service manual because its not for public too.
I can understand why these manuals are not for public because notebook disassembling is not so easy. Its pretty tricky and you must remove a lot of screws and parts. I think the most people dont have experience with this and so I go to an authorized service provider. The notebook technicians are the experts for this. ;)

  • Configuring Kodo default implementation for field of Collection type

If I am not mistaken default implementation for field of Collection type in
    Kodo is
LinkedList based proxy. It would be great if it were possible to configure
Kodo to use a proxy of my choosing
I did some tests and it seems to me that ArrayList is much more efficient
    than Linked list (see below)
Is there any specific reason I am not aware of that makes LinkedList better
    than array list
In my applications all collections a relatively small (or at least most of
    my collections are definitely small)
and since I use Collection interface there is no inserts into middle of my
collections - only appends (which ArrayList handles very well)
So my question is can I make Kodo to use ArrayListProxy for fields of
    Collection type
(except of course using ArrayList field instead of Collection which I do not
    want to do)
below is some statistics on collection performance (populating and iterating
    collections)
the same test against 3 collections implementations (JDK 1.4.1)
Not only ArrayList by far the fastest and memory friendly it also garbage
collected much sooner and better -
I show here max memory consumption and last to would not be garbage
collected till all memory is in use (old generation GC)
and ArrayList seems to be collected by young gen GC because it was collected
very quickly between test cycles why other only when all memory was used
So please make ArrayList your default collection implementation :-)
    Small collection size (40)
    time(ms) memory(kb)
    ArrayList 5,218 62,154
    LinkedList 14,125 240,066
    HashSet 27,000 311,825
the same but using using random inserts - append(index, object) rather than
    append(object):
    ArrayList 8937, 53591
    LinkedList 15047, 240066
    Larger collection size (200)
    ArrayList 4860, 47709
    LinkedList 18468, 290704
    HashSet 34391, 422282
the same but using using random inserts - append(index, object) rather than
    append(object):
    ArrayList 11844, 47709
    LinkedList 25766, 290704

You should be able to accomplish this fairly easily by extending
    SimpleProxyManager:
    http://solarmetric.com/Software/Documentation/2.4.3/docs/javadoc/com/solarmetric/kodo/util/SimpleProxyManager.html
and overriding the appropriate methods (getCollectionCopy and
    getCollectionProxy).

  • Need Documentation for report RCNCT001

I have to execute report program  "RCNCT001' to regenerate the structure in some Project system report to add the custom fields.
SAP suggest to refer the documentation for this report to step-by-step guide. But i could not find the documentation anywhere. Also, when i run this report to regenerate structure, it is asking for the access key for object : <b>R3TR PROG RCNSTRUCR</b>.
Has anyone used this report before? Can any one please provide me the documentation for this report?
    Please help....
    Thanks<b></b>

    Hi,
I had the same problem regarding executing the report RCNCT001 but I have found a way out which has worked out for me. Here are the steps carried out by me.
Select the Structure that you want to Enahnce by Clicking on PS Info System Structures. I had an requirement to enhance WBS Element so I selected WBS Element Radio Button.
    Click on Execute.
The Program will ask for Access Key.Hit Display on the Access Key Entry Screen.
    The progarm gives a warning.
    Hit Enter.
The Program will AGAIN ask for Access Key.Hit Display on the Access Key Entry Screen.
The program then gives 3 warning message.Hit Enter on all Warning Messages.
Now you get a list of all the Fileds from the structure you want to enhance to be included in PS Information System. In my case it is PRSP. Here you can see all the standard Fields along with your Custom Fields.
Click on save.It will prompt for a request.
Assign a request and you are done.
Now if you run CN43N you will be able to choose your fileds in the Change Layout Button on the report output Screen.

  • Need a document for field exit....urgent

Can any one please send a document for field exit or have a simple document on how to work on a field exit with screen shots. pls send it ...its urgent
    Thanks and regards

    Hi,
A field exit is a type of user exit.
A user exit is a hook where you can inject your own add-on functionality or behavior to SAP’s standard business applications without having to modify the original applications.
Field exits allow you to create your own programming logic for any data element in the Dictionary. You can use this logic to carry out checks, conversions, or business-related processing for any screen field.
    Field Exits
Field exits allow you to create your own programming logic for any data element in the Dictionary. You can use this logic to carry out checks, conversions, or business-related processing for any screen field.  Example: The data element BBBNR identifies a company’s international location number. You might want to set up your R/3 System so that all international location numbers are larger than 100.
The field exit concept lets you create a special function module that contains this logic.
You assign the special function module to the data element BBBNR. You then assign the module to any programs and screens in which users can add new international location numbers. When you activate your field exit, the system automatically triggers your special routine whenever a user enters a company location number.
In 4.6c, you can use "RSMODPRF" program to create field exits.
An example of a user exits :-
    MODULE user_exit_0001 INPUT
        CASE okcode.
            WHEN 'BACK OR EXIT'.
                CASE sy-dynnr.
                        WHEN '100'.
                             SET SCREEN 0.
                             LEAVE SCREEN.
                        WHEN '200'.
Note that you can write any code that satisfy your needs.                                                     ****
But in this case, this was wrote as a sample code for reference sake.                                    ****
And you can test it.                                                                                ****
                             SET SCREEN 100.
                             LEAVE SCREEN.
                 ENDCASE.
          ENDCASE.
Field exits (SMOD/CMOD) Questions and Answers
    1. Field exit was created with CMOD, but is not processed when calling the screen.
    -  Since the field exit is not processed until PAI, an action must be triggered on the screen (Return, Save, ...).
    -  Set profile parameter abap/fieldexit to YES and restart the system.
    -  After activating the function module FIELD_EXIT... and the field exit, leave the transaction on whose screen the field exit is to be executed. The screen is not generated until the transaction is started.
    - Do not work on different application servers since there may be some delay before the field exit is activated.
    - The profile parameter must be set on all or none of the application servers.
    - If the field exit is to only be active on specific screens, check whether you chose the correct program and the correct screen
          number (take care with subscreens).
    - Using SE51 -> Field list, check that the screen field does have a reference to a data element. In the name of the field exit use the name of the data element and not the field name.
    - After transport, field exits are marked as active but will not be processed.
Tip: First try deactivating the field exit once more and then afterwards, activate it again.
    2. How is performance affected by setting abap/fieldexit?
    - If a screen is generated and the profile parameter is set, a check is run on 2 tables (TDDIR, TDDIRS) to see whether a field exit must be generated for the respective field. In practice, the screen load is not generated until the screen is selected after an
update. The user should not notice any difference because screen generation is very fast.
    3. Can you read the contents of other screen fields in the field exit?
    - In principle, every field exit can store its value in the global variables of the function group (TOP) and hence make them
available to other field exits. Note here that field exits are always called and not only if an entry is made in the field or if the field is empty. In addition, it is not possible to make any assumptions about the order in which the field exits will be called in the future.
    4. How does the field exit behave on step loop fields ?
    - After the user has entered data, the field exit is called in PAI as often as there are visible fields in the step loop. The system
variable SY-STEPL is incremented each time. If a new value is assigned to the field, it is displayed in the module between LOOP and ENDLOOP. This module is also called once for each visible step loop line.
    5. Can field exits be debugged ?
    - No. Field exits must be tested separately in the ABAP/4 Development Workbench. For errors which only occur in the screen environment, it is helpful to write interesting variable to the file system using TRANSFER... . These can then be analysed there.
    6. What can you do if the field contents are no longer transported to to ABAP/4.
    - Check whether a value is assigned to the field OUTPUT.
    7. When is the field exit called if a conversion exit is attached to the
       data element ?
    - The field exit is called after the conversion exit. This means that the INPUT field receives the data in the same format as the
    ABAP/4 program also receives it.
    8. Although a global field exit is inactive, a function module is called which does not exist (for example FIELD_EXIT_PROGRAMM_@)
    - This is an error in the kernel which no longer occurs as of 3.0C.  As a temporary measure, it is useful to assign a program and a screen which do not exist to the field exit and then activate the field exit.
    9. Field exit is not visible in CMOD, although created.
    - If you want to create a field exit for a data element, a function module is proposed with the name FIELD_EXIT_. This
function module must exist for the field exit to work. If you do not create this function module, but do create one with a suffix,
the data element is not displayed in CMOD.
    10. Field exit is not executed although it is active.
    -  Fields which do not have the 'Input field' attribute usually do not trigger a field exit. The field exit is designed to allow an
extended input check. It is therefore only called for input fields - even if they are not ready for input at runtime of the         application by LOOP AT SCREEN.
This rule does not apply, however, if the field is located within a steploop. Here the field will be always activated, even if it is
    invisible.
    - Field exits can only be executed for fields that are directly related tothe dictionary. If the relation is indirect, i.e. via an       ABAP declaration (  LIKE ), no field exit can be executed.
    11. Field exits on check buttons do not work
    -  Field exits are only intended for input fields. As check buttons count as graphical elements, you cannot install field exits on
    them.
    12. Field exits do not work on selection screens
    SAP Field Exits
From 4.6c onwards, Field exits will no more be supported by SAP.  They removed the function of field exit but they had given lot of flexibility through userexit.
However, if you still required it, here is how to activate it :-
    First called up transaction  CMOD.
    Then called up transaction PRFB.
    or
Activation of the field exits and assignment of the dynpros can also be carried out using program RSMODPRF. For this purpose, the program must be started without parameters (input fields remain blank).  If required, new field exits can be created using program RSMODPRF (see the program documentation).

    hi
What Are SAP End User Manual
It is the same for every other modules although here I reference it mainly for SAP HR.
    1) You should understand which targeted group for the end-user training is for.  Do they have any computer background or not.
    2) In what way they are going to make use of the manuals supplied to them during the course of training.
Let us focus on how to prepare manuals:
In the client side , End Users are not permanent. If they get any better job outside they will resign and go out. Even if you train them well, again the end-user team disappears after some time. That is why implementing company( Client ) expects SAP Consultants to prepare documents which are self explanatory (even to a layman in SAP) and study themselves and use the sap easy access very comfortably.
Hence we should prepare a document which explains the following things comfortably:
    A) All the buttons and Screens we have in sap and its importance for an end-user.
    B) All the transaction codes used by end user.
    C) The STEP by STEP usage methodology with screen shots and explanatory foot notes for each Transaction code.
    D) Prepare a book a table and columns which should have the following information:
    - Sl.NO.
    - Transaction Code
    - Navigation path
    - Use of the Code
    - Expected Result
    - Achieved Result
    - Remarks/Any Comment
    E) Highlight the common troubles during the usage of SAP by an end- user and give the solutions (ready to use)
These problems you can come across while giving the in house training for the end-users.  You just place them at one place and publish it for their usage in future for any of their new joinees as an end-user.
    F) Every consultant is aware that the entire Organsiational Management is with end user only. Means consultant should train the end user in entire OM.
    G) We should inform the importance of info types and usage for our purposes at expert mode, PA30, PA40 etc.,
    H) Each field in the international infotypes should be explained very clearly and ensure that they are comfortable with the fields of infotypes which have been configured for their company.
For example : info type 0001 Org Assignment insists about the three structures of the HR. We should explain each sub field like Emp Group, Emp Sub Group, Personnel Area and Sub Area and its importance and relevance to their company so as to understand while processing them from the end- user point of view .
When an employee is hired into the company , now the end-user in a position to understand which employee group and subgroup, Personnel Area And Sub Area etc., should allotted..
Like this whatever comes across in SAP Easy Access should be insisted through the training of end users.
    I) Demo, exercises and solutions should be provided in the manuals.
    J) Glossary of terms and expansion of Acronyms, Abbreviations should be given.  Like this each consultant should focus on end user training and prepare the documents.
What is the Difference between Consultant & End users?
SAP consultant role is to build the system, changes & modification/updation in currently installed SAP system for the end users.
SAP End user only use the SAP system just to fetch some info, or to create new thing. So a end user is just using the final product which it is meant for and consultnat design the product/updation and modification.
The roles and responsibilities of end users is working in easy access menu they will not have authorizations of using img settings if they get doubt they will send query to the implemented company and just entering day to day transactions.
Roles and Responsibilities of End User:
Using the software at the end or after the implementation is an End User.
In sap HR , we do come across entire Org Management creation by an end user after the Personnel strucutre is created.  OM objects like creation of Org Unit means functional area or dpt , creation Job and Position and its occupancy is with in the limits of an enduser.  Initiallly the OM is created by sap consultant . In course of time a new department has appeared in the company of the client .. this has to be created by the enduser rather than depending up on the implementor... similarly new job and position..like this small things are always done by the enduser.
The entire work of OM is purely depends upon the enduser.
After from this running periodical payroll and Ensuring of the Time schedules ( Work Schedules) of each employee is done from sap easy access by an enduser and the show run of payroll everymonth is by the enduser only.  Like this lot of roles are there for an end user.
Whatever the problems come across during the enduser utilisation of sap ...that will reach as ticket to the support team
Explain what are the job responsibilities of END user & POWER user.
One would need user id and password to access SAP be it a developer, consultant, administrator, or end user.
End user is the one who performs transactions in SAP after it goes live. Such as posting an invoice, goods receipt, creating purchase orders, sales orders etc.
Power Users are users with advanced knowledge in certain applications and with special permissions or roles. They work in the specialist departments in the company and are available to other users as contact persons.

    Hi
Developing a simple application using steps "User Decision" and "Mail"
Basic terminology used in the workflow:
The workflow definition is the set of rules that determine the path that the process takes. For example, how a purchase requisition is processed, from the initial request to the creation of the purchase order
A Workflow Instance, which is often simply referred to as the workflow, is a single workflow run. For example, the processing of a single purchase requisition for computers.
The Tasks are the steps in the process, which have to be performed either by people or automatically by the software. For example, to check for the availability of the spare computers in the company.
A Work item is the task instance that is performed as a single workflow step. For example, check that there are no spare computers available in the company.
Agents are the people who process the tasks (via the work items). For example, requisitioner and a member of the purchasing department.
Container is the place where all the data used in the workflow is collected.
Binding is the set of rules that define which data is passed to which part of the process.
    Building a simple workflow application
The central tool for creating, displaying and processing a workflow is the workflow builder (Transaction SWDD). Within the workflow builder you can create all components of a workflow, including all the containers you need for getting the data from one step to another.
Generally, most of the workflows are started by an event (for example, when a material is created or when a new purchase requisition arrives). You define which data from this event needs to be passed to the workflow via binding.
However you can also start any workflow directly. Let us create a simple workflow and start the workflow directly, using the testing tools.
Call transaction SWDD. When the workflow builder is called for the first time, a newly created initial workflow definition appears or else last created workflow appears. In such cases you can opt to create a new workflow by pressing “Create New Workflow”(ctrl + shft + F5). The following screen appears.
The initial workflow screen has the following parts:
    a. The start of the workflow definition, indicated by .
    b. The end of the workflow definition, indicated by .
    c. The area in which you insert the new workflow definition is indicated by .
Now select the undefined step and select Create step or double click the undefined step. Now among the different steps chose the User Decision by double clicking on it.
Developing a simple application using steps "User Decision" and "Mail"
    Previous
Now enter the title for the user decision “ Please make a decision”. Also enter the decision texts as Approve and Reject. On pressing enter, the outcome values default to the Decision texts but you can specify your own names, if desired. Now we need to select the agent. Agent is the person to whom the work item needs to be sent.. Since this is just a beginning, we would hardcode the user name. Select the User from the drop down list and enter the user name to whom the work item needs to be sent. In general, this type of agent assignment is not done. Agents are generally assigned using the expression, agent assignment rule or organization object (job, position etc.).
Now select Transfer and to graphic button. Following screen appears:
Now we need to include a mail step to be sent to the requestor. Now select the line “Approve” and do a right click. Different options on shown on the context menu. Select Create.
Now select the step “Send Mail” from the list.
Developing a simple application using steps "User Decision" and "Mail"
    ...Previous
Now enter the subject and the body of the message for the mail to be sent.
Do not change the recipients. Our mail is intended for the persons who triggered this workflow. &_WF_INITIATOR& contains the value who executed the workflow. Since this is a test object, we are using &_WF_INITIATOR&. But we wouldn’t be using this variable in real time scenarios. We would discuss about this in the coming documents.
Now select Transfer and to graphic button.
A popup appears requesting for the abbreviation and the name for this task. Enter the same and press enter.
Now enter the package as local object and press enter.
Follow the steps 5 through 9 for the step “Reject”. The following screen appears:
Press SAVE to save the workflow application. You need to enter an abbreviation and name for your workflow as shown below. You can change any of these at any later point. After saving, a number is assigned to your workflow starting with WS, as shown below.
Developing a simple application using steps "User Decision" and "Mail"
    ...Previous
To execute the workflow, activate it by choosing the activate button.
Test the workflow by choosing Test. The following screen appears.
Now choose Execute to start the workflow.
Now the recipient would receive a work item in his SAP® inbox (Transaction SBWP).
Now execute the work item by pressing “Execute”. The following screen appears:
Choose one among Approve or Reject as part of the user decision. He can select the third option to retain the work item in his inbox and make the decision later. Now suppose that the recipient has chosen one of the first options. Now a mail would be sent to the requestor with the status of his request.
    Creating a Container element
This document details about creation of a container element in workflow and using it in the step "Mail".
    Pre-requisites:
It is assumed that the reader of this Tutorial is aware of creating a workflow definition with the step “Mail”. If not, please go through the document on creating the same available, by clicking here.
    Steps:
    1. Create a workflow definition using the transaction SWDD.
    2. Let’s create a container element for Carrier id. Click on the “Workflow Container” on the left side of the screen (as shown in the screenshot below):
    3. Now double-click on “Double-Click to Create”
    4. Enter the details pertaining to CARRID here.
    5. Click on tab “Properties” and select “Import”.
    6. Click on “Confirm (Enter)”.
    7. Now the element created could be seen on the left side, below the “Workflow Container”.
    Creating a Container element
    Previous
    1. Create a “Mail” step by double-clicking on “Undefined” step in the workflow.
    2. Enter the recipient details in the “Recipients” box.
    3. In the subject line, enter “Carrid value entered is:” and click on “Insert Expression”.
    4. Select the element “Carrid” from the list.
    5. Similarly enter the content in the “Body” area.
    6. Save and activate the application.
    Testing the Workflow application:
    7. Test the workflow by clicking F8.
    8. Enter the value of the Carrid as shown above and press execute.
    9. A mail would be sent to the recipient mentioned earlier with the carrid value entered.
    Condition Step
    Agenda:
This document details about the steps “Condition”.
Pre-requisites: It is assumed that the reader of this document has a preliminary understanding of workflow and has worked with the container elements earlier. If not, please go through the first two Tutorials of workflow available in this site. (More details)
    Procedure:
    1. Create a new workflow definition.
    2. Create a container element, CARRID (as demonstrated in tutorial 2).
    3. Now click on undefined step and create the step “Condition”.
    4. Enter the step name of your choice.
    5. We would have the following condition here:
    If carrid = ‘AA’.
    Do this.
    Else.
    Do this.
Click on “Click here to create a new condition”. Following screen appears.
Double click on “Carrid”. Next click on “=” and enter the value “AA” in the constant field and press ENTER.
Enter the outcome names of your choice as shown above.
Click on “Transfer and go to graphic”.
As shown above, there are two branches here. One navigates to true, if CARRID = ‘AA’ else the control takes the branch “False”.
Test the above scenario by inserting mail steps in the above 2 branches and by passing different CARRID values.
    Condition Step
    Agenda:
This document details about the steps “Multiple Condition”.
    3. Now click on undefined step and create the step “Multiple Condition”.
    4. Enter the step name of your choice.
    5. We would have the following condition here:
    If carrid = ‘AA’.
    Do this.
    Elseif carrid = ‘AH’
    DO this.
    Elseif carrid = ‘SQ’
    Do this.
    Else.
    Do this.
Select the “CARRID” using the F4 help for the comparison basis field.
Enter the values of the carrid under the Comparison values with the corresponding outcome name (of your choice)
Double click on “Carrid”. Next click on “=” and enter the value “AA” in the constant field and press ENTER.
Click on “Transfer and go to graphic”.
As observed above, there are different branches for each value of CARRID mentioned above.
Test the above scenario by inserting mail steps in all the branches and by passing different CARRID values.
    Using "Container Operation" step
Agenda: Usage of step “Container Operation”.
Pre-requisites: It is assumed that the reader of this tutorial has worked in the concepts that are dealt in earlier tutorials. (click here for more details)
Scenario: In this tutorial, we would deal about how to work with the step “Container Operation” with an example of calculating the available seats by subtracting occupied seats from the maximum seats at the workflow level.
    Procedure:
    1. Create a new workflow definition using the transaction SWDD.
    2. Create two container elements MaxSeats, Occ_Seats with the “import” property set. You can use the reference fields sflight-seatsmax, sflight-seatsocc for this.
    3. Create another container element AvailableSeats without setting either import or export property as this is calculated within the workflow and used within the workflow. You might use any of the above reference fields as data types.
    4. Define a new step “Container Operation” in the workflow definition by double-clicking on the “Undefined step”.
    5. In this step, we would calculate the available seats from the max seats and seats occupied.
I would recommend entering all the container elements from the F4 help instead of typing them manually.
    6. Return to the main screen.
    7. Create a mail step after this to send the available seats information.
    8. Test the above functionality by passing some values to the maximum and the seats occupied.
    9. Result would be as follows:
    Triggering Events Programmatically
Purpose: This document details the procedure in triggering the business object events programmatically.
Pre-requisites: It is assumed that the reader of this document is aware of the business object concepts and good in ABAP.
    Procedure:
In this document, we would take an example of the business object BUS1001006 (Material) and the event CREATED. In general, this event is triggered whenever a material is created using a standard procedure like MM01 or any others. Now we would trigger this event from our own programs.
Following are the screenshots of the business object BUS1001006 and the event CREATED. Go to transaction SWO1 for more information of the business object.
Double-clicking on the key field parameter gives you technical information of the field.
In order to trigger an event programmatically, we would use the function module SWE_EVENT_CREATE.
Following is the sample code to trigger the events programmatically:
    REPORT ZDEMO_TRIGGER_EVENT.
    DATA: KEY LIKE SWEINSTCOU-OBJKEY.
    KEY = '1163'. “ Material Number (hard-coded)
    CALL FUNCTION 'SWE_EVENT_CREATE'
    EXPORTING
    objtype = 'BUS1001006'
    objkey = KEY
    event = 'CREATED'
    CREATOR = ' '
    TAKE_WORKITEM_REQUESTER = ' '
    START_WITH_DELAY = ' '
    START_RECFB_SYNCHRON = ' '
    NO_COMMIT_FOR_QUEUE = ' '
    DEBUG_FLAG = ' '
    NO_LOGGING = ' '
    IDENT =
    IMPORTING
    EVENT_ID =
    TABLES
    EVENT_CONTAINER =
    EXCEPTIONS
    OBJTYPE_NOT_FOUND = 1
    OTHERS = 2
    IF sy-subrc <> 0.
    MESSAGE ID SY-MSGID TYPE SY-MSGTY NUMBER SY-MSGNO
    WITH SY-MSGV1 SY-MSGV2 SY-MSGV3 SY-MSGV4.
    ELSE.
    WRITE 'Event Triggered'.
    ENDIF.
    COMMIT WORK.
In order to test whether the event is getting triggered or not, we can make use of Event Trace. Switch on the event trace using the transaction SWELS.
    Press ‘Switch On”.
Now execute the program developed earlier. Now switch-off the event trace using the same transaction SWELS.
Now go to transaction SWEL. Here you can list out the events triggered in the particular period of time. Here is the event-trace list:
    Deadline Monitoring in SAP Workflow
A major advantage of workflow is the ability to monitor the workflow steps according to a predefined schedule. Following are different deadlines that can be monitored against each workflow step:
    • Requested Start
    • Latest Start
    • Requested End
    • Latest End
In this example, we will define a deadline to the User Decision example created earlier (click here). Following is the screenshot of the application developed using the User Decision example:
We would extend this example to the deadline monitoring.
In the User Decision step, click on the “latest end” tab.
By default, No deadline monitoring is active (as seen in the above screenshot).
Choose the “Work Item Creation” from the list box.
After selecting “Work Item Creation”, chose an offset of 5 minutes. This means that the work item must be executed within 5 minutes of the creation, if not this would trigger.
    Deadline Monitoring in SAP Workflow
Enter recipient details to whom the message to be escalated, if the work item is not executed with in 5 minutes after work item creation.
Save and activate the workflow definition.
    Testing the workflow application:
    • Execute your workflow.
    • Check for the work item in the SAP Inbox. This time do NOT execute the work item.
    • Wait for the deadline to be triggered. After that, a deadline message is delivered to the recipient mentioned in the “Latest End” tab. See the screenshot below.
Don’t worry if the deadline message doesn’t appear immediately after 5 minutes. This depends on various factors including how the deadline monitoring program is scheduled and also on the availability of the background processors.
Use SWWA to check how the deadline monitoring program is scheduled in program.
For example, assume that our work item has been created at 09:10 hrs and the deadline message is expected to trigger at 09:15 hrs. From the above screenshot, it is understood that the background program is scheduled to execute for every 3 minutes. Assume that the last run of the program is at 09:14hrs and the next run is expected at 09:17hrs. So even our deadline expires at 09:15, the deadline message would appear only at 09:17hrs after execution of the background program.
    Some more points
In our above example, we have used the deadline on the “Work Item” creation time. i.e., 5 minutes after creation time, the deadline message would be sent. Now we would check the other option “Expression”. Here we can mention the date and time, when the deadline message should appear irrespective of the work item creation date/time.
As seen in the above screenshot, we can provide the target date and time by which the task should be finished. Container elements could be used in this case. Please refer to our example on creation of container elements (click here).
    Personal Substitute in Workflow
Requirement: Need to have at least one substitute who can act upon work items in your absence.
Important: The appointed substitute would be able to see all your work items. A substitute cannot be assigned for only particular area of organization or any other item. So need to ensure that the substitute have the necessary authorizations to act upon the work items.
    Procedure:
    1. Go to SAP Business Work Place (TCode: SBWP)
    2. Now from the menu bar, select Settings à Workflow settings à Maintain Substitute
    3. Highlight/Select the name on the window, in this case SAPDEV02 and click on “Create Substitute”.
    4. List of users available in the system are displayed.
    5. Select the required substitute user name. Following screen appears.
Validity field describes about the period in which the setting would be active. Note that the dates on the screen would range from the current date to 31st Dec 9999.
Regarding the checkbox “Substitution active”, it is advised to leave this checkbox unchecked for system performance reasons. A check in this box indicates that the substitution is “permanent” and if left unchecked it is treated as “as-needed”. A permanent substitute will automatically receive the primary users work items in their own box. In the case of “as-needed”, substitute must manually adopt the work items from the primary user’s inbox.
    6. Save the entries
    7. Click Enter to leave the screen.
    Adopting a Substitute in Workflow
If you have been designated as an “as-needed” substitute, you must manually adopt the substitution. If you are designated as a “permanent” substitute, the work items would automatically appear in the inbox.
Before adopting a substitution, there are 19 work items in the inbox. See the screenshot below:
To adopt a substitution, select Settings à Workflow settings à adopt substitution.
Select the corresponding User-id (if you have been assigned as a substitute for multiple people, then this option would allow you to select the user name of whom you would to check the work items)
The corresponding user’s work items would appear in our inbox now.
You can end the substitution, by selecting settings à Workflow settings à End substitution.
Note: Substitutes can only adopt work items that are directly routed to the person for whom they are a substitute. If you are a substitute for a user (SAPDEV02) who has been made a substitute for another user (SAPDEV01), you will only see work items for user SAPDEV02 and not of the user SAPDEV01.
Notification of Work Items via e-Mail
SAP provides us with a facility of notifying the user via the email address of your choice when there are any pending work items in the SAP Inbox..
    1. Go to Transaction SO13.
    2. Click on Automatic Forwarding tab.
    3. Click on Create icon .
    4. Enter the details in the above screen.
    5. Click ENTER to complete the entries.
    6. Now the notification would be received at the provided email address if there are any pending work items in the inbox.
Filtering the Work Items in the SAP Inbox using BADI
This document details about the procedure in filtering some of the work items from the SAP inbox using a BADi.
Following is the screenshot of the SAP inbox, before implementing BADi:
The BADi that is used in filtering the work items is WF_BWP_SELECT_FILTER. To implement the BADi, go to transaction SE18. From the menu, select Implementation à Create. (See the screenshot below)
Enter the implementation name and press ENTER
Enter any meaningful short text for the implementation and click on the tab “Interface”
The implementing class, ZCL_IM_BWP_SELECT_FILTER, is automatically proposed. Double click on the implementing class name.
You are now navigated to the class builder. Now double-click on the method name shown on the screen (see the snapshot below)
Now let us filter out the work items belonging to the task TS2000066. See the code below:
Activate the method and also the implementation. In the state of active, you wouldn’t be able to make any changes. To make any changes, we need to deactivate it and then make the changes.
Now check the inbox and would notice that the work items related to that task are no more appearing.
To notice the differences, try activating and deactivating the BADi implementation.

  • Integration documentation for sap sd with fico and mm

    hi Sappers,
I need Documentation for SAP SD with FICO and MM Module
    its very urgent.
    mail id : [email protected]

    <b>Some basic information :</b>
    FI-MM: The integration between FI-MM happens in T-code: <b>OBYC</b>
      1. When PO is created :
    No Entry -
      2. When GR is posted
Inventory Account dr (Transaction Key BSX in OBYC)
To GRIR account (T.Key WRX in T-code OBYC)
      3. When Invoice is posted
          GRIR account Dr.
          Vendor account  Cr.
      4. Payment made to Vendor
          Vendor A/c Dr
                To Bank Clearing A/c Cr.
Points to know : Movement Types, Assignment of Movement types to T-keys (T-code OMJJ), Value string (I also need some information on this) , OMWN and OMWB transactions.
There is a close integration b/w FI & MM, actually document flows from MM to FI in the following areas such as,
    <u> 1. Movement Types:</u>
Used to enable the system to find the predefined posting rules determining how the accounts of financial accounting system are to be posted & to update the stock fields in the matrl master data.(Goods Receipt, Goods Issue, etc)
    <u> 2. Valuation Class:</u>
Assignment of material to grp of gl account, used to determine the gl accounts that are updated as a result of goods movement.
    <u>3. Transaction/Event key:</u>
Used to control the storage or filing of documents & assignment of documents.Used to differeniate b/w various transactions such as goods movement tht occur in inventory.
    <u> 4. Material Type:</u>
Each material should assign mtrl type in mtrl master record used to update whether changes made in qty are updated in material master record & change in value also updated in stock account.
    <u><b> FI-SD Integration:</b></u>
The integration is done in T-code VKOA
    <u>  1. Sales Order Created</u>
            -No Entry-
      <u>2. PGI done (Goods issue)</u>
Cost of Goods Sold     Dr (Configured in OBYC GBB T-Key)
               To Inventory Account
    <u>  3. Billing document released to Accounting</u>
            Customer Account Dr.
To Sales Revenue Account (ERL T-key in Pricing procedure)
Note : The GL account is assigned to this ERL in VKOA
    <u> 4. Payment Received</u>
            Bank Clearing A/c Dr
                           Customer A/c Cr.
Points to Know : Good to understand the pricing procedure and how the different transaction keys are used like ERL, ERS etc

  • F1 documentation for a Parameter Transaction

    Hello
I have a Parameter Transaction in a customer namespace and need to create F1 documentation for it. Is it possible?
(Created in SE93 and linked to SM30).
I can't find anything in the menus, online help or this forum.
The transaction is part of an Area Menu and ideally I would like to provide some F1 help there.
    Thanks
    Graham

    Hi
I looked in SE61 but there is no drop down menu item for Transaction.
    Balu:
I have an Area Menu for example:
    TR1
    TR2
    TR3
    ......etc
Transaction TR1 is linked to a report so I created docu for this and now the user can position the cursor on TR1 in the menu, press F1 and see a popup with the documentation.
Transaction TR2 was created as a parameter transaction linked to a View via SE30 (selected as a dialog transaction). The user can start TR2 and gets a View where they can enter data and use F1 for the individual fields. Up to here everything works OK.
What is missing is to allow the user to select TR2 and use F1 to see some documentation whilst still in the menu.
Since TR2 isn't linked to a report or data element I can't find a way to create docu for it.
    Thanks
    Graham

  • Documentation for the Acrobat Document Object Model

    Hello
I'm trying to move my first steps in this field, I hope you can bear with my naive questions.
I'm trying to find the documentation for the Acrobat Document Object Model. To my surprise a search in the forum's archives was unsuccessful.
I remember downloading out of curiosity a few PDFs from Adobe about their implementation of JavaScript in Acrobat, one precisely concerning ADOM (but I could be wrong as it was a few years ago and I'm getting old): are those documents a thing of the past?
    Thank you very much.
    Giordano

    Have a look here:
    http://www.adobe.com/devnet/acrobat/javascript.html
The link there is for the version 9 reference, which is usually good enough,
but if you want the latest one (in PDF form), you can find it inside the
    Acrobat X SDK package, here:

  • Search help exit for field name: BANKL (bank number)

Is there any search exit that can be used on field BANKL to display only some bank based on user defined criteria?
    Regards

we can create the search help ..
we dont need to use CMOD or SMOD for this .
The search help exit are implemented as function module (newly created) .
The place for exit in search help is blank but we can assing our exit ( FM created ) into that . Take the F1 help of that in change mode of search help .
A search help exit is a function module for making the input help process described by the search help more flexible than possible with the standard version.
This function module must have the same interface as function module F4IF_SHLP_EXIT_EXAMPLE. The search help exit may also have further optional parameters (in particular any EXPORTING parameters).
A search help exit is called at certain timepoints in the input help process.
Note: The source text and long documentation of the above-specified function module (including the long documentation about the parameters) contain information about using search help exits.
Function modules are provided in the function library for operations that are frequently executed in search help exits. The names of these function modules begin with the prefix F4UT_. These function modules can either be used directly as search help exits or used within other search help exits. You can find precise instructions for use in the long documentation for the corresponding function module.
well  which search help you want to change. and what changes are needed .?
