Does adobe photo downloader come preinstalled with Bridge for cs6

If bridge for photoshop cs6 does not have "adobe photodownloader pre installed . How do I get this software.

It comes with every install of Bridge. Nothing else required. You jsut need to enable it from within the program's options, if you want to use it.

Apparently there was a change in Elements 9.
From the PsE forum:
Bridge is no longer included with PSE. If you buy PSE anywhere except the Mac App Store you get Organizer instead. The app store version doesn't have organizer.

jpg does not support Layers.
Just to make sure, what exactly do you mean by "stacking photos" and what do you want to achieve thereby?

If you mac comes preinstalled with Lion, how do you download an installer file

So if you purchase a mac and obviously it now comes preinstalled with Lion. How can you download a Lion installer?Yes we do have recovery HD and internet recovery to reinstall lion but this heavily relies on the internet. Since the machine comes preinstalled, the Lion installer wouldn't appear in MAS. Aside from cloning the HD what else is our option?

I've seen this but what this does is to make an exact same replica of the Recovery HD. When you boot to this and go for reinstall OS, it will still download it to the internet. Ultimately its the same method as Recovery HD partition and Internet recovery. They all download the OS and automatically INSTALLS it to the HD. I am looking for a solution that gives us a "download only" option. Basically a Lion installer
e.g if you purchase Lion from MAS, it gives you that download file. That's what I was looking for, this is not possible for preinstalled Lion machines

Uncheck the reopen box and it should stop this from happening

IPod problem with Adobe Photo Downloader

Question; When I connect my iPod to my computer do download photos I get: Fatal Error, Adobe Photo Downloader has encountered a problem and needs to close. Code c0000005 Address 7c910a19. Initially it did work, but no longer does. Changes are only Windows automatic updates.

I have an older version of Elements, and in that the downloader always runs in the background when it is enabled via preferences. I found this to be annoying and, therefore, disabled this feature.
My workflow is:
I use a card reader to import pictures from camera card to an empty folder on the desktop
Next, I burn a CD before I do anything else. This is my "film" - can always go back to retrieve an accidentally deleted file.
Then, I delete the obviously poor pictures from the desktop folder - motion, unflattering pose, etc.
Finally, I manually import the "keepers" into organizer, tag them, etc.
You could adapt this scheme to import into the organizer only the pictures which meet the test for what you call "my picture collection", i.e. those pictures which have been enhanced .
In the older version of Elements, the organizer allows one to make a collection. I believe that it called something else in PEv.7, but it is still there. The advantage of this is that you can assemble a group of photos for a particular purpose, which you do. It also allows you to define the order of the photos in the collection by dragging them into position. Suggest that you consult the help file re same.

Help with Adobe Photo Downloader in PSE 7?

I do not allow PSE 7 to "see" pictures all over my hard drives; I have ONE watched folder called "my picture collection", in which are stored all of my "final copy" pictures, and these are the only pictures in "my catalog".
Since I am using Photoshop Elements to edit, and tag pictures, etc, I would like to use it to get photos from my Camera....however...
I want to import pictures from my camera, or scanner, to a different folder then my "watched folder", to a folder called "my Pictures F drive". I do this because these may be photos I DO NOT want in "My Catalog", such as today, pictures of the insides of an engine.
I can tell Adobe Photo Downloader NOT to open the Organizer after importing the pictures to whatever folder I wish, and organizer does not open; BUT, I am informed that the next time I open PSE 7, the Organizer will display these pictures, which it does. this is what I do NOT want; I don't want Organizer importing these pictues, and including them in "My Catalog" just because I used Photo Downloader to get them from my camera to a completely unrelated folder; NOT my "watched Folder". Is there any way of stopping Organizer from importing ALL photos handled by Photo Downloader?? If I want photos in "My Catalog", I move them into the "Watched Folder", and THEN I want Organizer to find them, and open them up for tagging etc (which it does). I can't find any way of doing this in "Preferences", or options in Photo Downloader. (The alternative would be to use a different program to get the pictures from the Camera, or scanner). Adobe Photo Downloader stopped working; can't import from a DVD?

I use Premiere Elements 4 (loaded with Adobe Photoshop Elements 6) on Windows Vista.
When I attempt to import video from a DVD (via Get Media > DVD import) I am unable to do so and the message
ADOBE PHOTO DOWNLOADER HAS STOPPED WORKING is produced by Windows.
I would value any help with this problem!

Well, if it was produced in an Adobe program, then it should be 100% DVD-compliant. The menuing structure should not be an issue, as it can with other programs (Roxio and Nero come to mind), or from a DVR-DVD unit. I have never seen one of those that did a DVD-compliant disc.
This might point to something else going on.
As a test, grab, or create a short Project in PrE with Menus, and then Burn it to Disc. Test this back in PrE, and see if it behaves exactly the same way. If not, then something might be odd with your first disc, or there could be some other issue. If the Importer fails again, I'd think about doing a Repair Install.
If the test works, the first thing that I would do would be to Copy your DVD-Video. One can use the free burning utility, ImgBurn to do this, if they do not have Roxio, Nero or some other DVD Copy utility.
As a thought, there are a lot of other programs, that can get in the way of many operations in PrE. You might find some tips on setting up your computer for an editing session, in this ARTICLE. Then, test with your DVD again.

This is a link to an Adobe Tech note (dated 2007-1-4) concerning disabling Adobe Photo Downloader 3 (apdproxy.exe) with both PSE3 and PSE4 installed on the same machine. Could it be that this also applies to other apps, for example having both LR and Adobe Photo Downloader installed on the same machine?

Thanks for the link but my problem is with EXE files (amongst others) so, as stated in the MS article, you can't use that method to change the behaviour.

Having now removed them using REGEDIT (& I remembered to back up my registry first!) I have now re-installed Acrobat Reader without experiencing problems (haven't rebooted yet, but I'm pretty sure it's fixed) - e.g. I can still use REGEDIT, launch IE7 or Firefox from icons that didn't work before.
I have no idea how those keys got there, but they're gone now ;-}

Adobe Photo-Downloader, can't reactivate it after changing driveletter of CF-card

I have a problem with the reactivation of the Adobe Photo-Downloader and don't know how to solve it.
After I have changed the driveletter of the CF-Cardreader to drive B the downloader wouldn't recognice the insertion of a CF-Card. When I start it manualy there comes the message "not files found".
In the explorer I see the card and the files; under "computerverwaltung" -> "Datentraegerverwaltung" (sorry, I don't know the english words) I can also see the CF-Card.
It is the same, when I change the driveletter. What can I do to reactivate this ?
System: Windows XP pro
Lightroom 1.0
all windows updates
1 GB memory

That happened to me until I did an Import in LR, then the auto-load worked every time after that.

PSE-11 Getting "Adobe Photo Downloader Error c0000005"

Machine: HP Pavilion g7 Notebook PC
OS: Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 and all updates applied
Processor: Intel Core i3 CPU 2.53GHz
RAM: 8GB (7.8 GB Usable)
Camera 1: Cannon Power Shot SX120 with a sanDisk 2GB SD card
Camera 2: Nikon D5000 with a Toshiba 32 GB SDHC card
OK I have been using the Adobe Photo Downloader ever since PSE 8 (I think) and never had a problem until now.
This is going to be a long post so please read the whole thing before replying.
Scenario: Took SD card from camera 1 and inserted it into the card reader slot on my laptop. Downloaded jpeg files into PSE11 without any problems. Removed SD card from reader and put it back into camera 1.
Tood SD card from camera 2 and inserted it into the same card reader slot on my laptop. Adobe Downloader opened and started to show the thumb nails of the pictures on the card (Raw format). After a few seconds I got the following message:

Error Code: c0000005
Address: 76f73ac3
I clicked on the OK button and the downloader closed.
I then tried to download from the organizer. I got the same error. Before clicking on ok I was able to get te downloader as the current window and noticed that the 4 AVI files I had on the SD card had the hour glass symbol on them and not a picture as other times.
I then moved these 4 AVI files to a holding folder on my hard drive with windows explorer.
I then tried to download the pictures from the SD card one more time, it worked just fine.
I guess I have several questions:
Q1: I did a search on this error code (c0000005) and there seems to be a workaround but no solutions, why is this? I ask that because this problem seems to be years and years old, going back to at least 2005 (do the math that is 8 years).
Q2: I have downloaded AVI files taken with Camera 2 before without any problems, why am I getting this error all of a sudden? Before you ask the only difference is the version of PSE, I do not think I have downloaded any AVI files since installing PSE11.
Q3: I guess I do not have a third question, but if I think of one I will post it here.
Any help will be appreciated. Again I apologize for the long post.

I don't even have the Camera hooked up and I get this error on download. I redownloaded everything and reinstalled. I allso saw the AVI issues reported with this proble so i updated Quicktime though without the camera being hooked up when I get this error I didn't expect that to work. I tried support and they wouldn't help because I bought it in March this year. Pretty frustrating as I have re-purchased Elements about every 2 years. I think I might need a new CODEC? I had this problem on an Earlier version And I seem to remember that being the Fix but this may be something completely different

I finally found that it was missing a picture so the Catalog was "corrupted". I just deleted the picture and it started working.

You are posting in the "icloud on my mac" forum, but your profile mentions Windows. If using a mac, you need to have iphoto or aperture installed in order to receive new photos via photo stream. If using windows, try posting in the iCloud on a PC forum. You'll get better help there.
