Does different IDOC channels means different queues?

Hi,
I have SOAP to IDOC scenario. I have 2 types of IDOCs, SYSTAT01 IDoc and NON-SYSTAT01 IDOCs. I have configured 2 communication channels for them, but they use the same RFC Destination & PORT will the 2 IDocs types go into different queues or will go to the same queue because they use the same port?
Thanks
Shakthi

>>If you mean to say, each of the IDoc you configured for each of the channel go through same Q all the time
I think its very explicit:)
Two messages send to separate communication channels wont necessarily use the same queue, there is no dependency between them.
If two messages are send to same receiver channel and QoS is EOIO they will use same queue,if QoS is EO then they will use different queues.

  • Which is better Different Distribution channel or different sales order typ

    Hi
My requirement can be met with three config options. Kindly go through these options and suggest which one is best and why
    1. Keeping one distribution channel and different sales order types.
    2. Configuring different distribution channel but single sales order type.
    3. Configuring different distribution channel and different sales order types.
    Kindly suggest
    Regards

    Hi there,
Without telling what the requirement is how can we suggest you something?
All the below options are possible in SD. Depends on the scenario to choose which is the best 1.

  • Other question: There is a way to apply different video channels to different program monitors?

I'm editing a marriage ceremony. There is two cameras on the couple in different angles, and there is a camera roaming the church for detais on the audience. I synch them in the a sequence, cut off the shaky parts on the roaming camera and I alternate between the two cameras. I can't see what is behind the layer hierarchy, so I turn its visualization off to se what's happening on the other cameras, and this is quite unpratical.
So, how to do it? To make different preview outputs for different video channels on the same sequence?

There is no special trick to qualifying answers. There are just different opinions as to what the proper answer should be. Very seldom will anyone here steer you wrong. You just might have better results from one type of answer than another.
I just happen to be of the opinion that the Creative Cow provides the best bang for the buck. Lynda.com is not free, but has the advantage of taking you through a real project to come up with a solid result.
To Google it yourself, as you have seen, is a perilous journey through heavily accented and sometimes poorly put together tutorials. Once you find Andrew's tutorials, you are in good hands. There are other good ones, and Occasionally I will put something together myself. But for a start, use Andrew's tutorials to get you most of the way there.

  • Same IDoc, different communication channels for receiver

    Hi,
In my file-to-IDoc scenario I need to send the same IDoc type to 2 different receiver channels. But these channels are created in the same service, and also the sender service is the same in both cases, so I cannot create two receiver agreements (one per channel).
I've tried to create a message interface with the IDoc as message type, allowing me to create two receiver agreement this way. But then sxmb_moni shows a kind of error like this:
    "IDOC_ADAPTER">ATTRIBUTE_WRONG_INTF
    Unable to interpret IDoc interface
I've been searching in the forum, but I couldn't find anything useful for this issue. Can you help me with this?
    Thanks in advance,
    Paco.

  • Doing the same task for different data.. Do I need Queues? How to use them if yes?

    Hello all,
I have created a VI which is getting data from some FTP server and then after comparing with the HDD specified folder copy the missing data from the FTP ... Description is also in the VI. There are few things I need to ask.
    1) The email sending VI gives error 1172..What could be the reason .. is it firewall.. or is there any mistake in the code?
    2) As you people are experts so I really like any suggestion to improve the VI..
    3) The most important .. Currently this VI can only perform the whole task for one FTP folder. Actually my task is I need to check for 4 different FTP folder on different servers..its not 4 different folder in one FTP .. its 4 different FTP.Now my question is how I can do this: First it compare and copy from FTP1.Then FTP2... and so on.. How can I change the data for the cluster for different FTPs? Do I need to use queues? If yes how because I don't have any experience with queues.
I will really appreciate is someone can either provide me the relevant example or can give me some idea.
The main VI is the 'TASK START'.VI please find the attached files.
    Thanks

    Hi Peter,
Thank you very much for your reply. I have understood your idea but there are few problems.
Please see the attached "Final test.vi".. actually my top level vi should be like this.. due to this reason I need to develop the cluster like one with name "Settings" as shown in Enum FTP events.vi.. In this cluster all the data types are not constants (but can be set as constants)  and further all of them are not of same type so whenever I try to create as you created I have got error, wire broken..so what do you think i should do.. In this cluster there are different types of data .. string, path, numeric, array and a cluster with name file properties also... can't figure out what to do..I know things are little scattered and wiered but due to lack of experience, I guess, I am now a little bit confused for this matter. I
hope guys here in the forum will help me as you guys always did.

  • How to send two different IDocs to SAP without BPM

    Hi Experts,
I am working on jms to IDoc scneario,my requirement is to convert one JMS messge in to 2 IDocs(DELVRY,MATMAS) to ECC , i searched in SDN to achieve this requirement without BPM, i found one blog, but its saying its not possible to use multi mapping scenarios with out BPM in IDoc
what is the best approch to achieve my requirement without BPM.
    Regards,
    James

is it true that multi mapping not going to support IDoc scenarios??
Yes it is true that IDOC does not support multi-mapping....this can be proved if you look into the help section which shows the list of adapters supporting multimapping....IDOC is missing from that list....do not get confused between Idoc Multimapping and IDOC Bundling.....IDOC bundling means bundling IDOCs of same type...however you are looking for IDOCs of different types.

  • About virtual channel in different device and/or different type channel

    Hi all,
I am looking for a way to write to several analog channels at the same time. In my code, I didnt' pay much attention to that, I just have them placed in the the same frame in the flat sequence such that they might be started to write simultaneously. However, sometimes they might not working perfectly. I am reading something on DAQmx and I found that there is something call virtual channel so I have put more than 1 channel into a unit (called virtual cahnnel), so I can write something to it at the same time. Here are my question
    1) what's the different between virtual channel and channel group? If I write a array of 3 elements to a channel group (consists of dev1/ao1, dev1/ao2 and dev1/ao5),  am I writing to channel group or virtual channel?
    2) can I bind different channels from different devices to form a virtual channel, e.g. dev0/ao0 dev1/ao0 dev2/ao0?
    3) can I bind different type of channel to form a virtual channel, e.g. dev0/ao0, dev0/port0/line0?
    4) last question is about synchronization on writing to a virtual channel (or channel group?) Last say I have a pulse train each pulse is separated in time by 1.2ms and total time is 122.4ms. The pulse train will be sent to dev0/ao3, and at 12ms after start send very first pulse of the train, I need to write two analog signal to dev1/ao1 and dev1/ao5. In my current code, create a flat sequence, start the task for sending the train in the first frame, put delay in second frame and delay for 12ms, write dev1/ao1 and dev1/ao5 in the third frame. For some times, this gives me acceptable timing but not always. I wonder how does it help to use virtual channel?
In the similar situtation, what about if instead of writing to two analog channel, I write to one analog channel and one digital channel?
    Thanks.

    1) virtual channel is created per task and contains a collection of settings such as a name, a physical channel, input terminal connections, the type of measurement or generation, and can include scaling information.. A virtual group is specific to digital IO and has to deal with the way you read/write data off/to the port
    2) yes you can create a task with physical channels from multiple devices assuming they are comparable writes (ie all analog or all analog read, or all digital) but they will have the same channel characteristics (see answer above)
    3) no you cannot create a task that handle an AO and a DO from with in the same task
    4) if you created a task you are using a virtual channel. The only way to ensure timing is to use hardware timing (ie onboard sample clock of you DAQ card) otherwise the reads/writes are basically interrupts and you are at the mercy of the OS to service the interrupt request
if you need more information please repost with more questions, include your DAQ hardware, and any code pictures to give us a better idea of what you are trying to accomplish and how you are going about it

  • IDOC - IDOC scenario with different message types

    Dear Experts
I will like to have your expert opinion in the following question:
I have an IDOC -> IDOC scenario. Wherein at the destination system I have a message type which does not exist at the source system.
Also the IDOC type at destination system does not exist at the source system.
Let say, I will be creating custom message type at source system (Z****) and will also be creating the custom IDOC type (z****) with the same structure, definition as the destination.
Now my question is, even if there will be different message types and different IDOC types but with the same structure (the segment level definition
and field attribute remains the same at both the system). The difference lies with the names. And I have proper mapping though process code.
Will I be able to receive the IDOC correctly at destination?
    Thanks & Best Regards

    Hi All
I figured out the answer myself now.
You got to have same name for message type. All of you said this and this is rite.
Coming to IDOC type, I did not really got clear idea on this from this discussion.
But after working on a scenario, I learnt that, you can have different names for IDOCs, but provided that, whichever IDOC type the source system is sending, the same type must exist in your destination as well. Otherwise, system wont process your IDOC. But from mapping point of view, its upto individual how do thay handle mapping inside inbound process code for different idoc types / strucutes.
Lesson learnt by me, ideally try to keep same name for both logical message and idoc type at both source and destination. If possible try to keep the structure level also the same. This is my view, learnt it the hard way.
    Cheers
    Shane

  • Creating Multiple different IDocs without BPM

    Hi all,
I have a scenario in where I have a input structure and have to create multiple different  IDocs (the types of the IDocs are also different)
    For example,
Input XML will create 5 IDocs of type A, 3 IDocs of type B, 1 IDocs of type C, no IDocs for type D and 10 IDocs for type E.
Is this possible without BPM? This will be a complex Mapping. In BPM I am sure for every type to create one send step would be easy. But would it be more efficient?
    Thanks.

something from the blog might be useful for you:
Messages that result from the split in a mapping-based message split are sent using one AE. So only adapters running on
the AE are supported. In particular, this means that target IDOC message splits are not supported since the IDOC adapter is not
    part of the AE.

  • One message type different IDoc Types

    Hi All,
Can we use one message type and different data types based on the requirement in PI mapping.Basically  I want to select mappings based on IDoc ...My requirement is to use different IDoc types for one message type in mapping ...will it work ?
    Thanks ,
    Vinay.

If you will be wanting to have 1 message producing different IDOCS types  (to be meaning that not just multiple IDOCS of the same type) then this must be done via a BPM as the IDOC adapter will not be able to handle it by itself.  Have a receiver determination step in the BPM for each IDOC type - you'll then be sending each via foreach block.

  • Assigning different midi channels to Mainstage

    Hello,
I'm trying to get Mainstage working with a midi accordion. For this to happen I need to be able to assign different midi channels to the different instruments I want i.e., piano for the right hand of the accordion would be midi channel 1, Double Bass for the left hand would be midi channel 2.
I've been looking through the manual and cant find a way to do it.
Does anyone know if it is possible?
    Thanks
    Angus

Thanks for the help! Here's a summary of the solution from the posts above:
Let's say you have a MIDI controller transmitting on more than one MIDI channel. Naturally you want to trigger different sounds on each MIDI channel. In my case, it's a Kurzweil MIDI keyboard/controller capable of 4 MIDI channels at once with split points and layers created in the MIDI performance setup.
My goal was to replace rack of MIDI modules with a MacBook running Mainstage (much easier to carry). I want to keep the MIDI setups in the keyboard and duplicate the multitimbral rack modules in Mainstage so I have a choice of taking either the rack or a laptop to the gig.
    Here's what worked:
In the Mainstage layout tab I created 4 keyboards. each keyboard was set to the MIDI interface device and a unique MIDI channel. Each keyboard is named for its MIDI channel.
In the edit tab I created a single patch with multiple channel strips. I selected the first channel strip and assigned the sound I wanted in the channel strip itself. On the left side, in the channel strip inspector, I assigned the channel strip to one of the MIDI chanels (one of the keyboards I created in the layout tab).
Then on the right side at the upper right corner of the channel strip I hit the "+" to add a second channel strip to the same patch. I added the plug-ings I wanted and again in the inspector on the left I assigned it to one of the other channels. I created 4 channel strips in the patch.
The result was a multitimbral setup with piano, strings and sound effects on 4 different channels. All active at the same time but only sounding when I selected a MIDI performance in the controller that sends note data to these channels.
It worked very well at my gig last week. Still a couple of details to iron out, such as disabling volume control for certain channel strips.
    Hope others find this helpful.

  • Extend customer on a different distribution channel

    hi everybody
I have already migrated customers , now i have to create them on a different distribution channel
is it possible through LSMW? or is there another way to do it?
    thanks for your help

at least it is one way that you could go.
I personally would just add a small ABAP code
select single * from KNVV into wa_knvv
    where KUNNR = your customer
and VTWEG = the copy from distribution channel
and SPART = the copy from division.
    if sy-subrc = 0.
move corresponding wa_knvv to your recording structure.
    endif.
This way I just need one field in the source file, which is the customer number.
and do not really need to care about any single field in the target structure.
I would not use recording method anyway, as SAP has a predefined Batch input and an IDOC import method.

  • Sales order with different Distribution channels

    Hi experts,
how can i create a sales order with different distribution channels.
I mean item level 10 = one distribution channel.
Item level 20 = another distribution channel.
also in Item level 30 also.... is it posible .?? how can i create ??
because we have the material in different distribution channel in differen plant with different price ..
    Thanksin Advance,
    Anthyodaya.

    Hi Anthyodaya,
As already answered by others, the distribution channel is only on header level(VBAK), so it is not possble to have different distribution channels in one sales order.
Could you please consider using different division?
Item division could be different than header.
    Go->item->Sales B->Division
    Hope it helps.
    Best regards,
    Smile

  • DIAdem File Write (DAT) with channel of different lenght

    Hi,
I'm trying to write in a DIAdem DAT File some channels with different lenght but I've got the error:
"File Write Error:Number of channel does not match existing file"
About you is impossible to do it ?
    I post my example code
    Thanks a lot

    Write DAT.vi ‏83 KB

    Hi Michele
Yest, it is possible and you did quite in the right way. The reason why you receive that error code is because you set DIAdem File Write»file mode? terminal to TRUE instead of FAULSE.
According to the specific VI Help File you shell use it configured as TRUE only if your data array is a waveform type:
file mode? (block mode:F) Data is stored in block mode if FALSE, or channel mode if TRUE. Channel mode can only be used if the data is passed in the waveform array input.
Hope this suggestion can help you.
    Have a nice day!

    Hello everybody,
I have the following reporting problem: My customer wants to see an an attribute to 0Mat_sales summarized in one line despite the different distribution channels. With other words there is one material where two different distribution channels have the same value in this attribute. Any chance to show this in one line summarized in the query?
