Does Internet connection Requires by every Applica...

Hey Friends, i am using c6-01..
I had installed Applock...
But when i switched off my internet it automatically gets off..
i.e. whenever no internet connection is there Its not working..
does it always requires Internet connection to work?
and also.. I am not able to switch off my internet, when ever i discoonnect it, it got closed.. but when ever i open any application locked by applock.. Internet always get started..
Can any one suggest me some solution to it ??
Please on urgent basis...

OK.. It seems the application downloads ads when you start it and thats why you need Internet connection. Try some paid applications instead.. Read the reviews below them and you will most probably know how they work. You may also check at the Developers' site for more details.
You may have a look at this.. but I am not sure whether this also requires Internet. Most probably the Paid application of such sort will not ...
You may also search yourself at Nokia Store. Select your Phone model and simply search for 'LOCK' ...

  • Unnecessary internet connection requirements

Virtually every time I download an app from OVI on to my phone, I am unable to play it because the game insists of having an active internet connection to work.  This has completely put me off using the store.  I find it unecessary to have a live internet connection to play simple games such as sudoku.  FREE games should not have live internet connection requirements.  It's ridiculous.  My contract does not have a data allowance and therefore I refuse to be charged a fortune just for playing a simple game.

If you read the details of these FREE games on OVI store.. there is a mention of Data connection requirement... For many games.. just to start it downloads an advert.. and thats the way developers earn money.. In longer run its better to go for a paid game ( .. just pay once..) than a Free one... You may Google for Free games for your phone model.. and may find a few that do not require Internet connection...

  • Help menu telling me "Internet connection required"

i'm experiencing a weird and frustrating thing: when i try to consult the Help menu for a topic whose answer is online, the answer i'm looking for appears for about 1/4 of a second before it disappears and is replaced with the following text:
    Internet connection required
The help topic you’re opening requires an Internet connection. Choose Apple > System Preferences, and then click Network to check your network settings and, if necessary, connect to the Internet.
thing is, my 'net connection's just fine. it's strong and fast and works for absolutely everything else.
any idea what's going on here? thanks...

ep, make sure you're looking in the right Library folder. forgive me if you already know this, but there are several Library folders on a normal OS X installation: there's one on the top level of the hard drive, one in the System folder, and one in each user's home folder. birman was talking about the one in your home folder.
just looking over my old threads and saw this one; i don't recall doing anything that successfully fixed the problem, as such, but it seems - knock wood - to have gone away. maybe buying this new Mac Pro was the solution. :P

  • Why is an internet connection required.

I am requested to sign in every time I use photoshop - as I not normally have a connection when using the laptop this makes working remotely impossible.
I asked before signing up to the cloud if an internet connection was required. - Only to download and the occasional sign in was the answer.
    Have I missed something?

that should not happen, but you're not alone.
see if you can find a solution here, http://forums.adobe.com/thread/1058184

  • HT4628 Why does internet connection on my Time Capsule cut out (on main but not guest network)?

Hi - I just got a time capsule 802.11n to use with my Macbook (OSX 10.6.8).
My wireless connectivity on my main (but not guest) network cuts out EVERY FRICKEN DAY multiple times.  The internet phone connection + guest network still work, so the internet connection is there -- something with the main network is going wrong.
When I reset the time capsule (remove plug and plug back in), it works fine again.
Can anyone recommend a solution so this connectivity problem stops?  Never had any issues with my Netgear wireless router, so at the moment, I'm really disappointed in this Apple product.  Hopefully there is a setting I can switch to fix this (or something else simple one of you smart people out there can recommend)
    Thanks,
    JLG

In any event, if your OS X version is 10.7.x, download and install AirPort Utility 5.6 for Lion:
    Lion: AirPort Utility 5.6.
If your OS X version is 10.5.x or 10.6.x, download and install AirPort Utility 5.5.3:
Leopard, Snow Leopard: AirPort Utility 5.5.3.
After you install the appropriate version of AirPort Utility, open it. The program will be located in your Utilities folder, which in turn is found in your Applications folder.
To open the Utilities folder, go to the Finder and select "Utilities" from the Go menu:
AirPort Utility 5.6 looks like this:
... but make sure you use the version of AirPort Utility you just downloaded.
Launch AirPort Utility and select your Time Capsule. Click Manual Setup, then the Guest Menu tab, then you can elect to disable the guest network, or to establish whatever security settings you want.
The window looks somewhat like this:
If your version of AirPort Utility does not look anything like that, you are probably not using the one you just downloaded. Find it and start over.
When you are finished configuring your Time Capsule, click Update and allow the Time Capsule to restart.

  • Where does Internet Connect store its info?

I've managed to mess up my Internet Connect settings (which used to work fine, with VPNs etc. etc.). Fortunately I have a complete mirror backup of my disk from before this problem. I don't want to do a full restore; does anyone know if there's a file that stores the Internet Connect preferences and settings that I can just copy over?
    Mike

This sounds like a job for ~/Library/Preferences. And indeed, I have some files there with likely looking names, such as,
    com.apple.internetconfig.plist
    com.apple.internetconfigpriv.plist
    com.apple.internetconnect.plist
I don't know if these are the ones you need to recover. You could check there modified dates using Get Info; if the date(s) are about when you messed things up that would suggest maybe they are.

    Hi Michael!
    Maybe
HD > Users > Your Account > Library > Preferences: com.apple.internetconnect.plist this one?
    Good Luck!

  • CS5.5 - Internet Connection Required to Start?

    Hello,
One of our users purchased Premiere Pro CS5.5 and our IT department has to support it.
It starts up fine with an active internet connection. Without an internet connection Premiere Pro automatically closes after the splash screen.
This user wants to edit video away from their office/home/etc. I just want to confirm an internet connection is/is not required before breaking the news to them.
    Thanks,
    Ken

I noticed that whenever Premiere Pro 5.5 starts without an internet connection a new dynamiclinkmanager.exe process gets created. These processes stack even though Premiere Pro 5.5 quits.
Some CS6 applications are also installed on this machine, and it has its own dynamiclinkmanager.exe file and process. Is this interfering with Premiere Pro 5.5?

  • AD sites and internet connectivity requirements

    Hi All,
I am looking on setting up several AD sites on my lab environment. I run 2 physical Hyper-V servers in 2 sites. Per my understanding, 1 (or at least 1) DC in each site must be a bridgehead server to replicate out to other sites (inter).
For security reasons, my DCs have no internet connection but are on a private IP. They are not multi-homed. So for a >1 site setup to work, does this mean one DC must have an internet connection to talk to DCs in other sites? Is this not a bad practice?
Likewise, if I give the DC a 2nd NIC for internet connectivity, isn't this a bad idea?
    Any guidance much appreciated.
    Thanks

As long as you have routing enabled between your sites there is no need to establish internet connection on DC's. Also it is not recommend to have internet connection on DC's from security perspective. In addition I myself, never recommend to have multiple
NIC's on your DC's, you can configure a gateway between different subnets and use it in order to connect different subnets to each other.

  • IMac Pro drops internet connection requires WPA2 Key

My mac pro connects to our wireless internet, but when I turn it back on from sleep mode it has lost connection and requires a WPA2 password to reconnect! I don't know where to find this key... but when I restart this mac it is connected to the wireless again! Help!

    Welcome to the discussions!
Can you confirm if both your Extreme and Express are "n" capable devices? It's easy to make a mistake setting up the "extend" feature, so we should start by checking your settings for both devices. Please post back to confirm.

  • Why does iPhone 6 require login every morning

I set up the fingerprint id on my new iPhone 6 and enabled iCloud, but I disabled the passcode protection because I don't want to login every time I use my phone. Everything works like I want, except the first time I try to use the phone in the mornings, it requires me to log in. the rest of the day it works without logging in. Is there a way to disable it completely?

TouchID requires ou to input a password if you do not log in to you iPhone at least every 48 hours. Maybe the timer is messed up.
-> Use Touch ID on iPhone and iPad - Apple Support
    Try a reset.
Press & hold the Home & Power until you see the Apple logo.
Also, as Meg noted, if you have a corporate exchange account on your device, they can force your phone to require password.
When you set up iCloud it automatically enables passcode. so I turned it off
Also, (as Meg noted) if you have TouchID enabled you HAVE to have a passcode.

  • Internet connection required?

Do you need to be connected to a wireless network in order to stream your music to speakers? I'm looking into getting an airport but only going to use it for streaming music but currently don't have WiFi in my house so not sure if it'll work. Thanks

Do you need to be connected to a wireless network in order to stream your music to speakers?
If you want to use the streaming built into iTunes (known as "Airtunes") you would need iTunes plus an AirPort Express (AX). The AX is a wireless router. You could be connected to the AX via Ethernet or wireless to stream music.

  • 7525 Wirelessly connected, loses internet connection, will not print from wireless network

Have a 7525 Photosmart printer (approx 7 months in service) that has been working great until now.  I had to change the dsl/wireless router over the weekend and now I can't print wirlessly from the network.  According to the printer diagnostics, the printer is connected to the network but each time I try to print, the computer being used can't find the printer.  Checking the Wireless Network Test Results page, all is fine except there is no internet connection.  Restoring the internet connection requires a 're-boot' of the printer, i.e., switching it off and unplugging, after which network printing is restored.  However, that only lasts for a very short time, less than 1 minute, then no more network printing.
I think there is something fishy with the IP address.  HP Print and Scan Doctor can't find the printer using this address. Typing the IP address into the browser gets an error message that the page cannot be found.  That address should lead you to the printer page, but it does not.  Changing the router resulted in an IP address change for the printer, but I wasn't even able to manually set the IP address via HP troubleshooting as it required the ability to get to the printer page from the IP address.
I am rambling on, but I have reached my knowledge limit and hope that someone can give me some other suggestions on what to try next.    Thanks

Hi Seenders and welcome to the HP Forum,
I understand that you are having connection issues with the printer on the network. I will try my best to help you resolve this issue. In this document for Printer Does Not Maintain Wireless Connection are different solutions that may resolve your connections issues. Once you have the printer up on the network make sure you update the IP Address on your computer.
I hope this information is useful. Let me know how it works out.
    Thank you,
I worked on behalf of HP.

  • E4200 - Must have internet connection!!

I was not at all pleased with this device. It was purchased with the intent of setting up a home LAN for expanded digital storage only. I was not aware that an internet connection is required to even begin the setup wizard.
What's great about it: unable to test unit
What's not so great: high speed internet connection required.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Your feedback is always welcome. Basically, people use router to share their high speed broadband connection on multiple computers and devices (ipad, XBOX, DVR etc.)
Having said that, the purpose of the CD setup is to recognize the type of internet connection and configure the router accordingly without going through the manual setup.
Now coming to the issue that you have mentioned. Its not necessary to have an internet connection to setup the router just for the home LAN.
Every router has a built in web interface, with the help of which, you can configure/change almost all the settings on your router.
Please refer to the link which will guide you to login to the web interface of the router. http://www6.nohold.net/Cisco2/ukp.aspx?pid=93&login=1&vw=1&app=search&articleid=22651&userrole=Links...
    Hope this helps.

  • Is it possible to activate an ipad w/o an internet connection on a mac?

Is it possible to activate an ipad without an internet connection on my mac?
I have got a macbook pro with iTunes 10.1.2 (17) and an micro-sim card with a iPad 3G data plan, so I can use it directly with the iPad, but I have to activate the iPad at first.
I have NOT any internet connection on the macbook pro (because I am actually traveling). So do not recommend to go to the next Apple Store etc.
    Thank you.

    Yes.
Plug it in and sync it. I don't believe an internet connections required.
You can register it when you get an Internet connection.

You cannot get a wifi connection anywhere? (hotel, library, airport, coffee shop, etc.)
Yes, I can. But it costs $30 for 10 MB (minimal use) at the hotel. Just to compare: a 3G data plan with 3GB traffic costs $50 monthly
