Does itunes 7 work now?

I have read many complaints about the itunes 7.0.2 program and I know that when I downloaded itunes 7, the program wouldn't communicate with my ipod. I was just wondering if the problems have been fixed and I can download itunes 7.0.2 without worry now.

Hi,
I tried what you suggested but still no go. The weird thing is that my total history and the nike site are not adding up.
My last workout was really Oct 1st, but the nano does not have it recorded.
So, I know in my total history, its recorded there, I just dont know how to get the nike+ site updated.
Any other ideas are helpful

  • Does iTunes Producer work through a proxy?

I am trying to get iTunes Producer to work through our corporate proxies. I have opened up TCP 33001 and TCP 44001 like the documentation stated. From the proxy servers I am able to connect to these TCP ports as well as the required UDP ports that are listed in the documentation. However, as soon as I try to upload a book in iTunes Producer, it get an error.
Does iTunes Producer work in a corporate environment that uses a proxy? Or is it like APNS that will not work through a proxy?

It seems that your office network is blocking the app. Maybe the old releases used a port not closed by your firewall but in the newer releases it uses another port which it is closed. That maybe explains the reason you cannot connect. You should contact your network administrator.

Please sort out the V 11.1.4 problems as I cant get iTunes to work now. You need to have a new version asap

Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features (later)
Remove all of these items in the following order:
    iTunes
    Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support (if this won't uninstall move on to the next item)
    Bonjour
    Apple Application Support
Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.
The uninstall and reinstall process will preserve your iTunes library and settings, but ideally you would back up the library and your other important personal documents and data on a regular basis. See this user tip for a suggested technique.
    Please note:

Does iTunes card work on iPad1 ?

If you don't have an iTunes account already, I think that may be why you are getting that message. This article explains how to set up an iTunes account without a credit card - if that is what you want to do. No matter what, you need to create an account in order to use the card.

  • Does iTunes 12 work with the iPod Classic ?

Does iTunes 12 work with the iPod Classic ?
Or do I need to stay with iTunes 11.4 ?
    Thanks

Thanks, ( you just got your first 10 points, congratulations! )
Ever since the iPod Classic was discontinued I have stopped purchasing music on iTunes. So I did not have a compelling reason to upgrade.
I have heard others having troubles and I got concerned that perhaps Apple had dropped support for the Classic on iTunes 12 because it was discontinued.
    Thanks for helping.

  • Itunes wont work now i've upgraded to 7.6

hi i recently upgraded to v7.6 and now my itunes doesnt work, when installing it, or rather when the installation programme tries to uninstall my old version of itunes it says it cannot find the file "itunes.msi", it prompts me to enter an alternate location of this file, but I've searched my harddrive and it isnt on it, if i try to uninstall itunes separately from the install programme the problem persists, I've never had a problem upgrading itunes before, is there a simple way to fix this problem?

It sounds as though you need to use the Microsoft Installer cleanup utility to cleanup your installer files.
Here is a method for removal of iTunes and installer cleanup.
Download a fresh copy of iTunes and the stand alone version of Quicktime
    http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download/win.html
    http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
Download and install Microsoft Installer cleanup utility, there are instructions on the page as well as the download. Note that what you download is the installer not the program – you have to run it to install the program
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/290301/
Now use the following method to remove iTunes and its components:
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=93698
If you hit a problem with one of the uninstalls don't worry, carry on with the deleting of files and folders as directed in the method.
    Restart your PC.
Run the Microsoft Installer Cleanup Utility. (Start > All Programs > Windows Install Clean Up)
Remove any references you find to the programs you removed - strictly speaking you only need to worry about those programs where the uninstall failed.
    restart your PC
Install the stand alone Quicktime and check that it works.
    If it does, install iTunes.

  • How does iTunes Match work - do I keep the music?

Hey guys! With iOS 7, I can finally stream my music that I downloaded/bought on iTunes directly from iCloud, which is really amazing because I can finally free up my storage on my iPhone. Now, the only songs I have to store are the ones that I bought from places other than iTunes and I'm actually thinking about subscribing iTunes Match for several reasons:
    1. I don't just download music from iTunes, I sometimes also buy music on Amazon and Google Play.
    2. The music I bought on Amazon somehow  has lower volume(intensity level, i.e. not loud) sometimes.
    3. I did rip and still rip some music from CDs and it would be great if iTune can match it and then I can just stream them from iCloud.
    4. The quality of some of the music I ripped was not the highest quality and I would love to upgrade them without having to rip them all over again.
Now, here is my question. Will the songs stay if I only subscribe iTunes Match for a year only and then cancel the service? That means if I cancel the service a year later, can I still stream my music from iCloud? So the music I bought elsewhere is equivalent to the music I bought on iTunes (the music stays with my Apple ID). One more question, I heard that sometimes iTunes can't match your songs because the artist name or album name in your library are spelled or showed differently (',' rather than '/', "The" rather than "the"). If iTunes can find the right album artwork for my music, can I also assume it will match my songs without any problem? So all I have to do *if* iTunes can't find the music is to modify the artist name or/and album name?
That's it! Thank you in advance!

    jerryroundel wrote:
Do you know how iTunes match the music? For example, I ripped the CD "Rent [Film Soundtrack]" and there are actually two discs, so I have two album names Disc 1 and Disc 2 while iTunes version only has one album and with different name of course ("Rent (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack)"). In this case, will iTunes Match work?If not, is there anyway that I can make it work?
As I mentioned, ID3 tags are not a factor in whether a track will match or not. The service uses a small "sonic fingerprint" of the file which it compares against an online database. So your ripped album having a slightly different Album name than what is is in the iTunes Store actually will not have any effect on the tracks matching or not.
    jerryroundel wrote:
Another thing is that I know I get to keep my music as long as it is in my HDD, but can I still stream my songs directly from iCloud after I cancel the subscription as if I bought them on iTunes?
    No.

  • Does iTunes 7+ work on older Dell (550 MHz)?

    Hello,
I currently have iTunes 6.0.5 running on a Dell 550 under WinXP and it runs fine. When 7 came out, I atttempted to install it, but it produced stuttering and skipping so I reverted back to 6. I've updated the audio drivers as best I can (after all its an old machine). From what I've seen online, people are still having problems with 7.3 skipping on newer faster machines. Has anyone gotten iTunes 7.3 to run correctly on older Dell machines (i.e. ~550 MHz processors).
    Thanks.

It turns out my daughter installed Apple Software Update and allowed it to install iTunes 7.3.2 and Quicktime. iTunes does appear to work, although I do notice some sound problems (stuttering, scratchy sound, etc.) when iTunes competes with another application. I wonder how it will perform with 7.4?

  • How does Itunes Match work?

If I subscribe, does ITunes Match suck all of my songs off of my Imac and take them to the cloud, update them and return them to my hard drive - can I get the improved quality stuff back on my hard drive to replace the "inferior" stuff or does it stay in the cloud?
Next question - I have a bunch of songs in ITunes, more in a Music folder, and more in a downloads folder. I assume they should all be in ITunes to use ITunes match the best way. How do I get them out of the other folders into ITunes? Where should songs be on the computer (LION 10.75).

    Rick Carlton wrote:
    First, Thanks.
So I couldget all of my musc into Itunes (still not sure how) including the music on my IPOD, transfer it by Match to the cloud.
To add music to iTunes either simply drag-n-drop it, or pull down File > Add to Library. For music that is only on an iPod see this user tip: Recovering your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device.
    Rick Carlton wrote:
Then could I download them all to a seperate folder, throw away the older stuff, somehow transfer the new stuff back into ITunes, and have all new stuff on my HD and Time Machine Back-up?
There is no downloading, moving or "transfering" required. Everything is done directly in iTunes. Time Machine will then backup everything on the internal HDD.
    Rick Carlton wrote:
One more question - if they go to the cloud, do they sta there so my wife's Ipad and Iphone can play them?
You wife will have to be logged into your iTunes Store account to access iTunes Match.

  • Does iTunes Tagging work with iPhone 5?

I'm using Sony XDR-S10HDiP for listening HD radio with iTunes Tagging. Just before switched my phone from iPhone 4S to iPhone 5, iTunes Tagging worked well with iTunes.
But iTunes11 doesn’t display tagged information when I try to transfer tagged information stored in XDR-S10DiP to iTunes 11 via iPhone5.
According to a fact that XDR-S10DiP displays “Tags Transferred to iPod” on its display, it seems that XDR-S10DiP transfers tagged information to iPhone 5 appropriately.
Is this a bag on iPhone 5 or iTunes11?
    (I’m using a 30pin-Lightning adaptor for connecting iPhone5 to XDR-S10DiP.)

If you are attempting to transfer files between the two, no there is no supported protocol to do so.

  • Older IPOD - cannot get Itunes to work now after 7.01 downloaded

I got a prompt to download 7.01, so like a 'do be' I did. Thing is, I don't have video, and QuickTime said it could not run unless I had a 'key'. I logged back on, and the key is $30.00 approx...if it was only 5 dollars, maybe I'd get it. So I uninstalled Quicktime, and now Itunes won't run at all. How do I go back? I'm not even sure what the prior version of Itunes was.
I guess my other question is, why would I get prompted about a new version of Itunes when I have an older IPOD that does not have video?
    thanks...
