Domains stats?

Does anyone know how to gather per-service invocation counts and response times
from a domains gateway (e.g. gwtdomain & gwidomain)? We're upgrading from Connect
TCP v2.1 to eLink TCP v3.1. Since Connect's TPSR process was a Tuxedo server,
usage of the "-r" option gathered stats rather nicely. eLink v3.1 is now a domain
gateway and this option no longer exists. Bottom line, I'd like to be able to
see the activity happening "through" a gateway.
thanks.

The only way I've found is via a report only available on the M series called Domain-Based Executive Summary.  It allows you to specify the domains and produce reports that look just like the Overview page, but filtered by the domain or domains.  We run those reports for each of our customers so they have specifics on their domains.  I wish this was available as a live report page as well.

  • Traffic stats for each domain? (parse access.log?)

Any apps that can show me the bandwidth usage of each domain? can only get graphs from all sites, not split up via the server admin tool...
    Kind regards
    Morten

Do you really mean a bandwidth graph of each domain? or just traffic?
For a start, per-domain stats are usually implemented by logging each domain/site to a different log file, one per site rather than one log file for all sites.
That's partly because the standard apache log does not include the hostname of each request, so there's no way to tell if the request for /index.html was for site1, site2 or site3.
Now, you can tweak the log format to include the hostname, but it's non-standard. Having separate log files for each site is generally easier.
Even then that won't tell you bandwidth utilization because the logs only include the size of each request, not the duration… in other words you cannot tell whether that 1MB file took 1 second (8mbps) or 1 minute (≈140kbps) which is what's important.
That said, most of the common apache log analysis apps (such as awstats do a pretty good job of approximating throughput.

  • Should I join the domain with my new server 2008 R2 before I run dcpromo ?

    Hi Team,
Should I join the domain with my new server 2008 R2 before I run dcpromo ?
Brand new server, 2008 r2. I want it to eventually be my forest root. Should I go ahead and join it to the domain as just a member server and then do all the ? Should I run adprep before I join
the domain? I'm only asking about member server at this point...before dcpromo.
Most of the posts I have seen relating to installing Additional Domain Controller (ADC) onto a domain, state that the machine they are starting with is NOT a member of the domain.  In my case,
the machine I want to make an ADC is already a member of the domain.

  • Bad domain name

    Hello.<o:p></o:p>
New client called me about a problem with web pages. He has a windows server 2012R2 environment with ad domain that is called very unfortunately
as art.pl which is a public domain suffix. Now all webpages that are called something.art.pl are not resolved to Ip addresses. Is there a way to force the dns servers to forward dns queries for a primary authoritative zone if it does not have proper entries?
    <o:p>Thank you for your help,</o:p>
    Marcin Rabiniak.

    Hi Friend,
The easiest way is to give it some other domain name which does not exist in your network if you do not want your switch to participate in any VTP domain which exist in your network.
Switch default is in no-management-domain state.
After the switch leaves the no-management-domain state, it can not be configured to re-enter it until you clear the NVRAM and reload the software.
So if you completely want to get rid of it clear NVRAM and reload the software.
    http://www.cisco.com/univercd/cc/td/doc/product/lan/c3550/12120ea2/3550cr/cli3.htm#wp1878369
By my recommendation is if you put into any domain which does not exist in your network it is same as no-management-domain state because it will not participate in your existing VTP domains.

  • Closed port for torrent with no iptables.rules

I have a home system with internet connection over a router. Firewall in the router seems to be disabled. I had installed guarddog and selected all the protocols that I need. There is no iptables in deamons line of rc.conf nor there is any iptables.rules files. There are 2 files in /etc/iptables, empty.rules and simple_firewall.rules. So, I wonder if any firewall is working at all in my system since guarddog is a frontend to iptables (i guess) and also is there any need for firewall since almost all the ports are closed.
Secondly, the main issue. I was using ktorrent and it was working fine until a few days ago. Now, bittorrent is not working. its not connecting at all. I tried deluge from community repo and tested the ports with http://www.deluge-torrent.org/test-port.php?port=6881 and it gave me this result:
TCP port 6881 closed on 121.247.200.189
UDP port 6881 open on 121.247.200.189
121.247.200.189 seems to be the ip of my isp as I got a dynamic one.
I am able to reach surf net but not able to download using bitorrent, however, both is possible in windows.

@madeye, first of all thanks a lot for such elaborate help.
I used utorrent in windows and u r very much right that it uses UPnP. In deluge (bt client on arch), UPnP was there but disabled (shaded). Hence, I tried running utorrent using wine and it gave a error message "Unable to map UPnP port' and is not able to connect. So, UPnP is not working in my box.
Then I tried as you suggested "iptables -L" and it gave me the following results.

That means iptables is not disabled and that firewall rules are setup by guarddog.
I removed guarding using "pacman -Rns guarddog" and rebooted. Still get the same results with utorrent and "iptables -L" and also the port test shows tcp 6881 is still closed.
Removed iptables and now bt clients seems to be able to connect and it works; however, port test still shows tcp 6881 closed.

  • Urg : error look on bsp pages

    Hi
i created two pages in web application with form . when launching or excuting application i got error "No complete domain statement contains the URLS (ECC60 instead of ECC60.").)
how to solve this issue . could please suggest me .
    thanks ,
    Suresh

    Hi,
Check ur URL address in both the pages and make the correct one and specify
the page which should start first and next in the navigation structure.
if u r practising then use the IDES ECC 5.0 then ECC 6.0 because ECC 6.0
support webdynpro which is easy and advance component for web technologies.
Reward point only contents are useful and U get idea.

  • How to create an alias to a subtype?

    Hi,
How can I create an alias to a subtype?
I.e. How can I asscciate a name with a subtype?
Associate DOM_ADDRES with the type CHAR(50) or
associate DOM_TELNO with the type NUMBER(10,0)
so I can use it in the creation of a table like
    CREATE TABLE T1 (id INTEGER, addr DOM_ADDRES , tel DOM_TELNO);
I tried CREATE DOMAIN statement -> Not working, statement not
    exists.
I tried SUBTYPE lll IS CHAR(3) but it only works in PL/SQL
programming, I can't create tables with that.
Is it possible? Am I doing something wrong?
I think subtyping and aliasing is very useful for readability and
    reuse.
I don't want to use CREATE TYPE AS OBJECT, I do not need objects
    in my DB.
I am using Oracle 8.1.7 for Linux.
    TIA,
    Jose P.

In my .profile this works: alias f="/Applications/Firefox.app/Contents/MacOS/firefox -P doug"
for starting under my profile. Make sure you run source ~/.profile if you add an alias to .profile
Starting default FFox profile is /Applications/Firefox.app/Contents/MacOS/firefox -P swxazqvy.default
And for Desktop icon to start whichever profile, open Script Editor and paste with proper changes(and save as an app(maybe to Desktop again?) :
do shell script "/Applications/Firefox.app/Contents/MacOS/firefox -P doug"
And you can make an executable with icon in a bash script with above and chmod u+x it and save to Desktop too.

  • SCCM package distribution priority

I have in my environment SCCM 2012 SP1 installed.
I created a small testpackage to test upload of that package to all my distribution Points, and created it as a Medium priority package. I saw in the content status view in the console that it was put "In progress" in a queue, I knew
there were other packages uploading to all my DPs. To speed things up, I changed the priority to High after a day or so, because I wanted that package to be uploaded first to all my DPs. No other packages has High in my environment. From the link below, this
would not affect the queue in SCCM 2007, because once the package has been created, you can't change it to distribute faster.
    http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/76626568-a372-4996-8131-3934ed903805/deploying-packages-and-sending-priority?forum=configmgrgeneral
My question is, is this still designed the same way in 2012? Or will SCCM 2012 notice the priority has changed, and pull it in front of the queue?
    Freddy

I tried to create a package. When the create wizard is finished and I've clicked OK, then I can go into the Properties, and set HIGH as the priority.
    Then I tried to distribute.
This is what I see in the PkgXferMgr.log on the site server:

It finished after a few minutes on the other DPs, I don't know if they had a lot to be uploaded at the time i started the distribution. But CM-DP-IRL-001 is clearly uploading other packages first before the one with HIGH as a priority, am I right?

  • SunMC 3.5 u1(config reader) and SF25K

    Hi!
Config Reader (Fin Fire 15K/12K) shows that the SF25K has no Slot0 boards
but actually it has 18 ones. All other parts are shown correctly. SBs has IV++ processors, SMS of the server is 1.5
Where is the problem? whether it's because of SMS version or CPU type?
What should be done in this situation?
    Thanks in advance,
    Veronika

If you're still seeing this, could you pls. clarify which Config Reader you're seeing this in?
The Platform Config Reader should show all System Boards, but the domain Config Reader will only show boards configured or available to that domain.
    What's the configuration of boards/domains?
Also, what does the Platform/Domain State Management (PDSM) module show?

You should be able to use this equipment and set up a reasonable lab to learn and practice routing and switching. My suggestion would be to first develop a plan and create a drawing (does not need to be fancy or elaborate, but I find putting it down on paper to be very helpful) focused on physical connectivity. What is goig to connect to what. Is the 7206 going to use just one Ethernet/FastEthernet or more than one. Which device will connect to the 7206, and so forth. After you have planned the physical connections, then use that plan and drawing to plan the logical connections. In this part you will figure how many vlans will you use. are some of the vlans on a single device and are some of the vlans spread over several devices. Which of the ports will function as trunk ports, and so forth. Once you have worked through that then add to the plan the layer 3 information. The plan already has the layer 1 and layer 2 information and you are adding the next layer. Will you use more than one major network, what subnet will you use on which vlan and so forth.
After you have worked through the plan from layer 1 to layer 2 to layer 3 you are ready to connect the devices and to begin to configure them.
Best of luck with doing this.

  • VTP scenario:1

The scenario is to analyse the VTP messages between a VTP server and a client.
Configuration on VTP server: VTP domain: MATRIX, no password is configured, mode : server
Configuration on VTP client: VTP domain: Default (Null), mode: client, no password is configured.
So i thought when i join these two switches with a trunk port, then at first the server will send a default "Summary Advertisement" without any "Followers Field" set (=0) (I mean the server won't indicate the client, that it will recieve "Subset Advertisement" immediatley after this "Summ Adver").
But what happend is server has sent the "Summary Advertisement" with a followers field set to '1',
    VTP events on server switch:
    VTP-SERVER#
%LINK-5-CHANGED: Interface FastEthernet0/1, changed state to up
%LINEPROTO-5-UPDOWN: Line protocol on Interface FastEthernet0/1, changed state to up
VTP LOG RUNTIME: switchport trunk mode on Fa0/1 has changed--->>> (And also what does this line mean exactly, because already i configured this port as a turnk port)
VTP LOG RUNTIME: Transmit vtp summary, domain MATRIX, rev 0, followers 1
       MD5 digest calculated = E3 D7 B0 71 25 29 1A BD 87 04 3A 33 E6 83 69 29
VTP LOG RUNTIME: switchport trunk mode on Fa0/1 has changed
VTP LOG RUNTIME: Transmit vtp summary, domain MATRIX, rev 0, followers 0
       MD5 digest calculated = E3 D7 B0 71 25 29 1A BD 87 04 3A 33 E6 83 69 29
VTP LOG RUNTIME: Summary packet received, domain = MATRIX, rev = 0, followers = 0
VTP LOG RUNTIME: Summary packet rev 0 equal to domain MATRIX rev 0
VTP LOG RUNTIME: Transmit vtp summary, domain MATRIX, rev 0, followers 0
       MD5 digest calculated = E3 D7 B0 71 25 29 1A BD 87 04 3A 33 E6 83 69 29
    VTP events on client switch:
    VTP-CLIENT#
%LINK-5-CHANGED: Interface FastEthernet0/1, changed state to up
%LINEPROTO-5-UPDOWN: Line protocol on Interface FastEthernet0/1, changed state to up
VTP LOG RUNTIME: switchport trunk mode on Fa0/1 has changed
VTP LOG RUNTIME: Summary packet received in NULL domain state
VTP LOG RUNTIME: Summary packet received, domain = MATRIX, rev = 0, followers = 1
VTP LOG RUNTIME: Transitioning from NULL to MATRIX domain
VTP LOG RUNTIME: Summary packet rev 0 equal to domain MATRIX rev 0
VTP LOG RUNTIME: Subset packet received, domain = MATRIX, rev = 0, seq = 1, length = 139
VTP LOG RUNTIME: switchport trunk mode on Fa0/1 has changed
VTP LOG RUNTIME: Transmit vtp summary, domain MATRIX, rev 0, followers 0
       MD5 digest calculated = E3 D7 B0 71 25 29 1A BD 87 04 3A 33 E6 83 69 29
    Questions:
    1. Since the server switch didn't received any "Advertisement Request" from the client, then how can it send a "Summary Advertisement" with a followers field=1 ? On what basis did the VTP server sent the "Subset Advertisements" to the client ? Because the VTP server doesn't know whether the switch just joined is a client/server and whether if it is in it's domain or not ?
    2. In the VTP server events i don't see a log indicating that It has transmitted a VTP "Subset Advertisement" whereas in the VTP client events it is showing a log saying that it received a "Subset Advertisement". Bolded text.
    Thanks in advance.

    HI Michael,
Could you give an example of the SAP "application specific" Java libraries you are talking about? And what do you mean by "download of correct libraries" - where would you download libraries  from if you only have a DTR (and no CBS) in your landscape? Are you referring to downloading it from the J2EE Engine where they are deployed? Or are you thinking about storing the libraries also in DTR ?
Identification of libraries is an issue here (if you use scenario 1 ) and depending on how the libraries were delivered, you may have to extract them from containers (like SCA files).
Assumming you have identified the libraries that you need and extracted them, you would have to make the compile-time libraries (like jar files) available to your developers (so that they can reference them from their projects and use the API) and deploy the runtime libraries (the corresponding SDA files, for e.g) on to the target runtime system (J2EE engine). And you'd have to manually ensure that these two are kept in sync (if your developers compile against version that is not deployed on your runtime, they will face runtime errors).
If you let me know the application that you want to use and exact nature of the application specific libraries, I could offer more specific answers.

  • Task Sequence If Statement for chosen DomainOUs ?

In my CustomSettings.ini I have five different "DomainOUs" lines which prompt whoever is running the Task Sequence to select an Org Unit while they're putting in the Computer Name.
To keep things as simple as possible, I'd like a single Task Sequence that includes multiple "Install Application" packages which get installed based on which OU the machine is in. Can
I use the "Options" tab of my various "Install Application" packages with
an "If Statement" that applies it based on which "DomainOUs" was
    chosen earlier?
I know I can make five separate Task Sequences for each OU and have the five different "Install Application" packages in them, but I'd like to avoid that as when I go to
update a common app, I'd have to do that in all five Task Sequences as opposed to one.

You can add an XML file with only the Language settings, that will bypass the language selection prompt.
Bear in mind that when you create the answer file with Windows System Image Manager, you have to use the same architecture (64 or 32) as the target image.

    Team,

    Hi Srinivasa,
I guess, you didn't completed the initial setup schemaprep and adprep before starting the installation. You can do it as follows:
    1. Open command Prompt as administrator and browse to the root of installation cd and run Setup.exe /PrepareSchema /IAcceptExchangeServerLicenseTerms
    After finishing this,
    2. Setup.exe /PrepareAD /OrganizationName:"<organization name>" /IAcceptExchangeServerLicenseTerms
    3. To prepare all domains within the forest run Setup.exe /PrepareAllDomains /IAcceptExchangeServerLicenseTerms. If you want to prepare a specific domain run Setup.exe /PrepareDomain:<FQDN of the domain you want to prepare> /IAcceptExchangeServerLicenseTerms
    4. Once you complete all of the 3 steps, install the pre-requisities for Exchange 2013
    5. Finally, run the setup program
    Hope this will help you
