• Doubt in uploading purchase order data using BDC

Hi friends,
how to upload purchase order data.
1) In both BDC and BAPI which one is preferable?
2) for suppose if it is through BDC, how to use? what are the transactions that we can use(SHDB, ME21N,ME21)?
3) To execute the job in background, is it possible for both call transaction and session method.
Thanks in advance
Sreenivas k

It really depends on the number of records you have. Still for a set of 5,000 records my answer to your questions will be:
1) In both BDC and BAPI which one is preferable? - Go with BDC
2) for suppose if it is through BDC, how to use? what are the transactions that we can use(SHDB, ME21N,ME21)? - Yes, its SHDB for recording, SE38 for abap program and ME21 for PO. Avoid SAP Enjoy transactions for recording as you may end up having problems wiht it.
3) To execute the job in background, is it possible for both call transaction and session method. - If you use call transaction method then you have to schedule the job to run in background or simply run it through F9 instead of F8. In case of session method you can chose to process the session in background. However I would suggest you go with BDC Session method for this.

• Urgent :Doubt on open Purchase orders

Hi friends,
i will be more help full if anybody can help me on below issue how to find open PO and partially open PO.
Only “open” purchase orders will be extracted for conversion into Destination Server. An “open” purchase order is defined as any unshipped, non-cancelled with “open quantities”. In regards to, partially “open” purchase orders, we will only convert “open” units (i.e. Original ordered qty was 300; 70 have shipped, 230 remain open…Target Server sales order will have an original order qty of 230).
also where to find that Sub Contracting orders and Sample orders.
• Orders not considered for migration because they will have either shipped in full or deleted prior to data migration as a part of data clean-up: ALL subcontracting orders; sample orders
please help me on the above two issues.
thanks and Regards,
Gokul.

Hi
First take the ALL Po's from EKKO and EKPO tables and check for the different GR's and GI's qty's from MKPF and MSEG tables and you have to compare the PO qty with the total GR/GI qty's and to find the OPEN po's
see the sample report

• Automatic Purchase Order Rounded Quantity

Hello Everybody,
I have a doubt with automatic purchase order, here is the situation:
Purchase Requisition (ME51N) reference on a Contract
ITEM 1 - Quantity 750,920 (Total Value $750,92)
ITEM 2 - Quantity 29.041,640 (Total Value $29.041,640)
Total Value PR: $29.792,56
Automatic Purchase Order (ME59N)
ITEM 1 - Quantity 750 (Total Value $750)
ITEM 2 - Quantity 29.041 (Total Value $29.041)
Total Value PR: $29.791
I would like to know if when I execute the ME59N to generate automatic PO, the quantities from PR always will get rounded? It's possible to adjust manually (standard way) to generate them with all the quantity of the PR?
Thank You!
Best Regards,
Raphael Palmieri

HI,
"CUNI is only for display, in background system will consider decimals in table level."
Rephrase - CUNI you can only define how the decimals are presented to the user, but stored in tables is always with 3 decimals.
Note: 23771,
The same has been discussed many time, Follow mr JürgenL -
Unit of measure rounding.

• Extending a document in Adobe Acrobat if you have purchased and own LiveCycle Reader Extensions

I work for an organization that has purchased adobe livcycle designer suite which includes Livecycle reader extensions. However we do not really have a need (besides perhaps per the EULA), nor the technical support to extend reader documents using the server based LiveCycle Reader extensions. We will definitly be collecting info from over 500 receipients so per the adobe acrobat license agreement:
16.8.3 For any unique Extended Document, Customer may only (a) Deploy that Extended Document to an unlimited number of recipients, but Customer shall not extract data from more than five hundred (500) instances of such Extended Document (or any hardcopy representation of that Extended Document) that contains data from a recipient; or (b) Deploy an Extended Document to no more than five hundred (500) recipients without limits on the number of times Customer may extract data from a recipient from that Extended Document. Obtaining additional licenses to use Acrobat Standard, Acrobat Pro, or Adobe Acrobat Suite shall not increase
the foregoing limits (that is, the foregoing limits are the aggregate total limits regardless of how many additional licenses to use Acrobat Standard, Acrobat Pro, or Adobe Acrobat Suite the Customer may have obtained). For the avoidance of doubt, if Customer purchases another Adobe product or service that allows Customer to send a greater number of PDF files or forms (e.g. Adobe FormsCentral or Adobe LiveCycle Reader Extensions), then the terms of that Adobe product or service shall supersede the terms of this Section 16.8.3
Given the very last sentence, it sounds me like since my organization has provided me with a copy of LiveCycle Reader extensions I can extend the adobe document using adobe acrobat if I wish, and still be within the terms of the EULA, is this the correct interpretation? I would prefer not to actually use the LiveCycle reader extensions as once again we do not have the technical support, nor the need for this server based solutions.

Hi Ben,
Thank you for providing the detailed description of the problem.
The contents of the password-protected PDF document are encrypted (so that nobody can read the contents until the correct password is entered).
Acrobat DC mobile products (for iOS and Android) have the known limitation where changes cannot be saved to encrypted PDF documents. Therefore, users are not able to make any changes (e.g. adding comments/annotations or filling out forms) to encrypted PDF documents.
Sorry for the inconvenience.

• ME53N Purchase Requisition attachment tables

Hi,
Good day guys
I got a doubt on ME53n[Purchase Requisition ]. we got icon for services for object. If you click it then its show the tab where and which can create the ATTACHMENTS LIST or else Create the Attachment.
I want know the which Tables are storing the attchment document ?
REgards
KK

Hi All,
I got the solution.
We can use function module ARCHIV_GET_CONNECTIONS which gives the list of attachments.
We just need to pass PR Number as OBJECT_ID. The table CONNECTIONS will populate with the list of attachment.
Please refer below snapshot.
The count variable also gives the the number attachment in PR and I_connection internal table gives list of attachment in details with type of attachments.

• Version 7.x purchase?

Can this product set(s) still be purchased for a Unix platform or a windows nt/2000 platform.
I have a migration of an existing 7.x that I need to perform on a system that will not have 7.x but 9i. The migration book indicates that I need to have 7.x inplace to migrate to 9i! :-(
Any ideas if this (7.x) is not available (which it probably is not).

I highly doubt you can purchase it since it's been desupported for over a year.
I've done my share of 7.3.4 to 8i upgrades (can you go directly from 7.3.4 to 9i? I wouldn't have thought so).
Your best bet may be to migrate it on the machine it's on and then move it over to the new box.

• Purchasing of assets

Hello friends,
i was having a doubt, regarding the purchase of an equipment.
please correct me if i am wrong.
as we talk about the purchase of an equipment we do it in the form of assets, because all the depreciation will be calculated for the assets.
after the purchase of the assets, if i want to convert into an equipment, is there any standard functionality provided by the SAP to do it.
please help
and thanks in advance.
Regards,
yk

Hi Naveen ,
What is the 'Internal Number range' you have mentioned about?
I customized automatic creation of equipments as follows. But it does not create any equipments.
SPRO>FA>AA>Master data>automatic creation of equipments
Equipment category : M(machines)
Object Type : 2113(which is vehicles)
Edit asset master record
Create equipment: Direct Synchronization after saving
Change equipment: Direct synchronization after saving
Edit Equipment master record
Create asset: No synchronization
Change asset: No synchronization
And then I saved it
Then I created an asset using asset class 2000 and capitalized that asset using FB50.
But when go to IE02 and try to look for the equipments I cannot see any equipments created for the above asset created.
Have I missed any steps
Thank You,
Raneetha

• Why does my MacBook Pro and Mac Pro keep freezing?

Why does my MacBook Pro freeze?
MacBook Pro
2.4 GHz intel Core2 Duo
4BB 1067 MHz DDR3
OSX 10.6.8 Snow Leopard
I turned it on and I went to safari to look things up. Safari froze and then the whole thing became unresponsive - the mouse could move the cursor but it couldn't open any programmes.
Tried safe boot several times. No help.
Tried to repair disc permissions. The first time it got a little way then said 'user stopped repair' or something - though I didn't touch it. Tried again it got all the way through and said 'repairs complete'. But no help.
Couldn't clear cache etc as couldn't get to the relevant part to do it.
Opened in single user mode. Ran the fsck -fy thing twice. First time it said both “The volume appears to be OK” AND “FILE SYSTEM WAS MODIFIED.” In 2nd run it just said “The volume appears to be OK”. No help.
Booted it up from the Superduper bootable backup version on a USB external drive. It seemed to boot up ok but then tried to click on something and the same thing happened - spinning beach ball and it just hung.
Erased hard drive and reinstalled snow leopard but it just does the same thing. Suggesting a hardware issue not software but...the Eerie thing is, we tried backup version on boyfriends Mac Pro and it worked fine on there but 24hrs later his Mac Pro has got exactly the same screen freezing, unresponsive issue. Could this suggest there's something evil lurking on my back up? Can't get an appointment at Genius Bar until next week and need to get some work done, so hoping someone might have some ideas?
Cheers
Kerry

... does Apple products work much better with using Apple routers?
While a genuine Apple router is likely to result in success, the reason for having one instead of another product is that it eliminates a lot of uncertainty. For example, we do not know the model D-Link product you have so no one is in position to speculate what the problem might be. Also, it makes support on this forum easier since there are only three AirPort models to choose from and they all work more or less the same.
Generally speaking your iPods, iPads, MacBooks, and AppleTV ought to work with any router though, provided it is fairly recent and meets accepted industry standards. If in doubt you can purchase an AirPort Base Station, which comes with 90 days of free telephone support. If it does not result in any improvement for you, you can always return it for a complete refund. The return period is 14 days and be sure to keep all material - receipt, box, manuals, etc...
If you elect this option be sure to follow its installation instructions, the most important of which is to power down your modem prior to connecting the AirPort Extreme, Express, or Time Capsule. All your other equipment will need their network settings adjusted to "forget" the D-Link network and connect to the new one.

• 6.1.2 update bricked my iPad Mini - White Screen of Death

I updated to 6.1.2 over wireless. Shortly after, I noticed the battery was draining extremely fast. I followed a suggestion I found here to let the battery drain to 0 and to reset my settings under Settings>General. When the battery was about 50%, I shut it down completely as I wasn't using it and so that it would charge faster (not using battery on standby, etc).
I let it charge for about 4 or 5 hours. When I turned it back on, I got a bright, solid white screen and then it shut off... or so I thought. The device remains warm, as though it was in regular use, but the display is OFF - NOT blank, OFF.
It will not go into Restore or DFU mode, it will not turn back on, it will not do anything.
Waiting on an Apple call in the morning, but once it is replaced, I doubt I will purchase another Apple product, considering the sickening irony that my iPad was functioning fine prior to the update and the VERY UPDATE MEANT TO IMPROVE BATTERY LIFE ACTUALLY KILLED MINE to begin with.
I have very weak faith in Apple at the moment.

Guys, my ipad mini just had the exact same issue yesterday.
It was recently updated (about 1 week ago) to 6.1.2 and since yesterday it just turned into a brick (black screen, no reaction whatsoever,...) .
I tried different chargers & different USB-ligthning cables without any result. Somehow it seems the battery does not have any juice anymore and won't charge either.
My bad luck was that 4 months ago my daughter had the ipad mini dropped on the floor and the screenglass has a small crack. It did not affect any functionality and still worked fine untill yesterday. I went to an official apple store and they told me that the warranty doesn't count on the complete ipad since the screen is cracked/damaged.
Explaining that the crack had nothing to do with the current issue we have did not help.
Now I'm standing here with a 6-month old product which has no warranty and is as death as a brick.
Thanks to Apple!

• Jittery image on VGA projectors with MBP

Recently I have had trouble projecting presentations from my MacBook Pro (15", early 2011, OS 10.8.3, 8 GB RAM) to several different VGA projectors. I am using a mini-Display to VGA adapter and use 2-screen mode (not mirroring). Initially, everything is fine - the projected image looks clean, but after a while, lines start to zigzag and jitter - as if someone was physically bumping the projector (or like a bad TV signal). This gets progressively worse and makes it nearly impossible to give a professional presentation (which I am required to do for my job). I have bought a brand-new miniDisplay-VGA adapter - no improvement! I am very careful to make sure that connections and cables are all solid. The same problem does NOT exist for external monitors hooked up via DVI or HDMI adapters/cables. Any suggestions/ideas?

First I tried flicker filter, and it helped some of the photos, but others became even worse! (The entire image shakes now instead of just portions.) I removed the flicker filter and tried the de-interlace filter, and that produced about the same results. I would try editing the photos separately in Adobe Photoshop, but before I delve into that I would like to set up an external video monitor. Unfortunately I've wasted about two days, and I can't seem to get it to work. I first tried by connecting the iMac to a Sony camcorder and connecting the camcorder to the video port on my television. No joy. Then I tried connecting the iMac via a mini-DVI to video adapter to my television. I thought my old television might be the problem, so I connected instead to the video port on a projector, and it still didn't work! I've changed the display settings and deleted certain preferences files, to no avail. My iMac doesn't seem to recognize the external display. I'm beginning to doubt this Mac purchase. Thanks for any help you can provide!

• Setup without a computer

I am a bit confused. I bought an IPad for my wife and when it turns on the only thing it shows is a wire and an usb port. How does one set this up without having to dedecate a computer to it? It is supposed to have WIFI capability so it should be possible to connect it to a WIFI hotspot and do what has to be done without requiring a computer.
I thought the description of a computer was only for synching.
One doesn't need a computer to begin using a Kindle. The IPad is supposed to be a more advanced device -- why does it need a dedicated computer just to startup?
I did not realize that the IPad was that primative a device that it required a computer to setup it up -- that is the IPad itself is not powerfull enough to run its own setup process.
Is there a workaround for this design flaw?

>The iPad is DESIGNED to be used in conjunction with a computer. Using a computer is how you get content onto it, how you back it up, how you install updates.
Then why isn't that in any of the descriptive material:.
There isn't any mention of using a computer on the features page: http://www.apple.com/ipad/features/
Nor on the page that descibes the built-in apps: http://www.apple.com/ipad/built-in-apps/
The only place it appears is on the technical specificaions -- the last page -- at the very bottom. Please note that the page is labeled Tech Specs -- not technical requirements. The computer requirement does not show up until you have scrolled through five pages worth of descriptions. I doubt the average purchaser even looks at the Tech Specs page much less pages to the bottom. Apple appears to be delibertly burying the need for a computer and an ITumes account.for setup. The description of the computer requirements implie that they are need for synching and backing up -- not to just setup the IPad.
Finally, it should be noted that the IPad arrives without any documentation on how to set it up. All it does is display a wire with a USB connector.
This is obviously not a simple device for a non techincal user. They have to have administrative rights to a computer so they can download and install Apple's softare before they try to get the IPad working.
>You can't update the iOS operating system except via iTunes on a computer
You mean the device is so primative it can't use a WIFI or 3G connection to get updates? So not only do you have to have a computer to setup the device but you have to have one to put on patches. Is that true of an IPhone as well?
I thought Apple devices were designed for ease of use. This one definitely is not.

• PSE 7, Vista 64 bit, freezes up, will not save as

New to PSE 7. Just purchased and really really disappointed with the quality so far. I am trying to resize and crop a photo and then save as into another file to send via email.
I can open PSE 7 and open the photo. I can resize the photo and crop it, but when it comes to saving, saving as it either doesnt not generate the new saved as file or the whole program locks up.
PSE7 has been updated, and registered.
Windows Vista 64 is up to date.
I have not had any other issues with ANY other programs from deisgn software like Autocad and down. Adobe PSE seems to be the only problem here.
I have not reistalled PSE but may and see if that fixes anthing (doubt it)
Was purchased with PRE 7 as package.
Thanks for any help

Installing with Anti-virus going can lead to all sorts of issues...
Since you are using Vista, I'd suggest turning off UAC (User Account Control) also during installation.
Make sure you are running Elements in an Admin account and that you have the Elements set up to "Run as Administrator." (Just in case: Right click the Elements launch icon and select "Run as Administrator" from the menu. This setting is sticky so you only need to do it once.)
If that doesn't cure it, have a look through this Adobe tech troubleshooting doc:
http://kb.adobe.com/selfservice/viewContent.do?externalId=kb405398
