  • Issues on exporting the report to Excel from full client BO 5.1

    Hi,
I am facing a problem in exporting the BO report from Business Objects 5.1 to excel file. I am aware that there is no direct way to export the BO report to Excel from Business Objects(File--> save as to .txt file and then copy its data to excel )
When the export the BO report to excel file,I received two errors one over other
    error1: Numeric data overflow (3349)
When I click OK button, second error received is like this
    error2:export failed (dma0005)
I tried all options to fix this and also I looked for an dialog box " export to external file format " in Business Objects inorder to copy the report data to COPY TO DDE option but I didn't find any aforementioned dialog box
Please provide me the solution to fix the issues
    Kind Regards,
    Srinivas

    Hi Denis,
Yes,all reports based on this particular universe have this problem
Are you telling me to isolate the object from the universe that is creating problems and then run the report ?
Also, I am unable to find the option from  menu items in Full client BO 5.1 to open the dialog box with name " export to external file format ". Can you please tell me where I can find this?
    Warm Regards,

  • Download custom generated reports in Excel from ITS

    Hi All,
We have generated some custom reports and have used ALV reporting. Now from the GUI we are able to download the report in excel but from the ITS this functionality is not working,
Has anybody idea how to achieve this for the custom reports.
    Thanks,
    Smita

    Hi Luciano,
Thanks for your reply. I am really lost with your question. Before we were not able to download the standard SAP report and then we upgraded our Java Virtual Machine to V1.4 and its working for the standard report.
Now my problem is that I am not able to download it from the custom generated report.
As soon as I am clicking on export to local file the report screen is getting blank and not allowing for any further action.
    Any clue?
    Thanks,
    Smita

  • Reg: Download report into Excel file

    Hi All,
While downloading the ALV report into excel file(System -> List -> Save -> Local file) or (List -> Export -> Local file), i cannot download full report in to excel. Even though the report contains just 200 rows(I can able to download about 90 lines).
Some reports can able to download all the data, even the report is very big. Currently I am blind to solve, anyone can help me to solve this issue.
    Thanks in advance.

The most elegant way of downloading ALV display data to EXCEL is displaying the excel in the SAP GUI screen itself.  Select "Excel in Place" and then save it from there. Before that you need to let the VB script of SAP know as trusted macro. This is done by opening a blank excel file then go to Tools > options > Security > Macro Security > Trusted Publishers (tab) > (check) Trust access to Visual Basic Project.  This activation is one time activation. Once you do this you can see ALV display exactly like in normal ALV with all the colors fields etc.

  • Opening SAP BPC report on server from Dashboard 4.0

I would like to know if it is possible to open SAP BPC report/excel on server from dashboard. We should have it embeded in dashboard so that if we click on dashboard....then it should take to the underlying BPC report on server.
If it is possible the please share the ideas and process.
    Thanks!
    Asif AKram

    Hi Asif,
We can get BPC data to Dashboard  using EPM add in/Extended Analyzer depending on BPC version. But going directly to BPC report from Dashboard is not possible.

  • Download reports to Excel sheet

    Hi Experts,
    I have report like
    Col1 Col2 Col3
    AAA 220 21
    BBB 400 20
    CCC 0 10
    Here Col3=Col2/@PV (Presentation Variable)
@PV=20 Default and if Col2=0 then Col3=10 Default.
My Question is, when I am trying to download the report to Excel, Col3 values shows 0 and in filter shows Col3 is equal to @{PV} but I need to show the Presentation Variables values in Excel sheet. I think this is bug in OBISE1 but if you any one able to solve this issue plz help me.

  • Formatting problem in download report into EXCEL Sheet

I have requirement that the Column in the report have values as 1.50,1.5,3.50,when i'm downloading the report into Excel sheet,The values are rounded and appearing as 1.5,1.5,3.5.
Can anyone please let me know how to resolve this requirement

    hi,
    1) Excel will not take zero's after decimal(1.50) it will roundup(1.5) the values.
    2) you can do like in formula section use CAST(column_name as CHAR) and download it to excel then u will get the zero i think...i didn't tried
or Column properties--->Data format --> Select Number--->use 1000's Seperator for 1 decimal and save the report and download it
    but it should work!
    thanks,

  • Downloading report in excel file

When I download reoprt in excel file then if material no is 0002134 then in the excel file this becomes 2134,
I am saving file from the Menu System->Save-> Local fiie and then selecting spreadsheet.
When I save as text file then it is not removing leading zeros, only in excel file it is removing leading zeros.
I wanted to know that how to download in excel file so that my material no should download as it is .
    Thanks
    APrasad

Menu System->Save-> Local fiie and then selecting spreadsheet.
Spreadsheet is not EXCEL. It is a an internal format.
if you enter xls as extension, then you just tell Microsoft to open this file with excel.
Excel then automatically coverts it to its own rules.
When download with Menu System->Save-> Local fiie and then selecting spreadsheet enter the file extension txt
Then open Excel, use file > open
find your file and open it, Excel will come up with an import assistant.
there you can define if the column is to be loaded as numbers or text.

  • Pivot Report in Excel from Oracle data base

I need to bring data in Excel from Oracle table.

  • Downloaded data in Excel from SAP table data to have the macro and control?

We know that in SE16 screen to display SAP table data, there is a menu item or button to download the table data to excel sheet, but in the excel sheet, the data is for display only and some calculation functions (e.g. sum) are not be able to be downloaded to the excel sheet as macro.
Our customers would like us to see if there is a way that in the excel sheet with the download SAP table data, only some certain rows/columns of data are allowed to be changed by customers or in other words, other areas in the excel sheet should be frozen and users can not even insert a column and do the copy/paste rows/columns.  And also the original calculated column in SAP table (e.g., sum) would be in the corresponding column in the excel sheet, but with macro to do the same function (e.g., sum).  After the customers perform some changes in some allowed certain rows/columns in the excel file, then the changed data can be uploaded back to SAP.
Wonder if there are such ABAP program to fullfill the above task to download SAP table data to an excel file and to make the downloaded data in the excel with only some certain row/columns to be changeable and all other areas frozen?
Thanks and we will give you reward points for valuable answers!

    Hi,
This scenario can be met with the FM : RH_START_EXCEL_WITH_DATA
This is available in Older versions. Starts Excel with a macro.
I have never tried using this FM.
    However, I came across : http://www.jt77.com/development1/programming-23850.html
    Showing the use of it.

  • Re: How to save/download the report in excel from Report painter.

    Dear Sapmates,
I have created Cost element and Cost centere reports using report painter. Both the reports consists of nine coloumns. I would like to have the report in the excel. I tried the folliwng options :
    1. System -> List -> Save -> Local file
    2. Settings -> Options -> Microsoft Excel
    3. Print and then try to save using the spool request number using SP02.
But neither of the ways worked to download or save the file in the excel format.
Could anybody of you please help me out with this.
    Many thanks in advance.
    Best regards,
    Pabbi.

After executing the report, select from the top menu:
    Report --> Export
In the export to presentation server screen, select spreadsheet as the export format and enter the file location and name in the output file section. Then hit enter or click on the green check mark.
another pop up box will show and this time click on continue.
It will now create the output. check the output location you have entered before for the file.
    Hope this helps.

  • Downloading report in excel format.

    Hi,
I'm newbie on apex. I'm trying to make a report which is enabled to download in excel format. Report is working correctly what I expected.
But I found single colume data was split multiple cell in downloaded excel file. I don't know how I can merge this cells into one.
I made a sample report with data.
    http://apex.oracle.com/pls/apex/f?p=9971:2:0::NO
If you download this report, you can see 'Long Text' is split into two or three cells.
    Any information will be welcomed.
    Thanks
    Jaenyun

    Thanks for your reply.
If I change column display type in input form to text field from textarea, It makes to prevent to input enter key in text data.
But I hope user can input enter key in text data. So still I need another way to download data into single cell.
