Download to Excel after migration to 11g: Table lose formats

Hi,
after migration to 11g we make some test.
Download to excel is not working correct. Calculated column lose the rounding, Table with green line lose the format of the borders.
Is this a known issue?

Yes. Refer to ID 1380981.1 and ID 1451127.1
It depends on which version of OBIEE you're working with though and the Locale set for Excel.
Please assign points if helpful/correct.

Before the unicode upgrade we downloaded a spreadsheet, specifying the columns and table. Since the upgrade the spreasheet opens and start to create the columns, but as soon as it tries to write the table we get an error at teh following code.

Can you let us know your support package levels? Also you right click and then export it to Excel?
Something to do with packages and xcel levels as well.

Eror while running adconfig.sh after migrating to 11g

Hi,
I have migrated my EBS db from 10g to 11g.
After that to enable autoconfig, created context file using adbldxml.pl script.
Now while executing adconfig.sh, it is failing.
The log file showing
afmkinit.sh exiting with status 127
.end std out.
cp: error while loading shared libraries: libc.so.6: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
touch: error while loading shared libraries: librt.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

Download to excel Issue in obiee 11g (11.1.1.6.4)

Hi ,
One report contains 1,00,000 results, when the user is trying to export it into excel. they may not get all (1,00,000) records. We are getting exceed limit. Could you please provide me the solution?

change the download number in inistanceconfig file and check the updated value is available in EM after restarting the services(OPMN).if not enter the required value in download button w't have you been given in instanceconfig.xml.
Instanceconfig file path: <biee11g_install>\instances\instance1\config\OracleBIPresentationServicesComponent\coreapplication_obips1\instanceconfig.xml
change value in:
<DefaultRowsDisplayedInDownload>64000</DefaultRowsDisplayedInDownload>
check value after restart the service in em, same values is there or not: Maximum nuber of rows to download.

Failed to create instances after migrating BPM 11g to another server

Did a BPM 11g migration, we need to delete the original schema, then import using impdp, we met error after starting SOA-Server1 (Please find soa.out log attached )
The directly error is:
ORABPEL-10513 Cannot get application roles from application identified by "{0}". An error occured while getting application roles from application identified by "OracleBPMProcessRolesApp". The underlying APIs threw an exception.

After Rechecking the log of soa_server, the error disappears now:

Assertion failure error after migration to 11g (11.1.1.5)

Hi All,
I am facing an issue here after we migrated from 10g to 11g (11.1.1.5). Few reports shows following error.
Error Codes: OAMP2OPY:ACIOA5LN
Assertion failure: isXsiTypeSqlExpression(rExpr) at line 67 of /scratch/aime1/adestore/views/aime1_dadvfa0112/bifndn/analytics_web/main/project/webreport/exprformulautils.cpp
Any workaround/fix for this error?

Hi Rajesh,
We had the exact same issue occur in 11.1.1.5 as well. Our problem was due to the fact that our report was referencing a saved filter, and in that saved filter, we had a line that was a SQL based filter just like Haris mentions in this thread. We could not get a saved filter with an SQL filter line to work (even creating it from scratch), so I believe this is an 11.1.1.5 bug.
We got around the problem by applying the contents of the saved filter, instead of the filter reference itself. Once we did that, the SQL filter line worked just fine.

Bindings problem after migration to 11g

I recently migrated my 10.1.3.4 adf/bc app to 11.1.1.1.0. I've managed to work out most of the migration issues/bugs, but there is one I don't understand. In one of the backing beans, I have code to check if the transaction is dirty. This code is executed when the user clicks the button on the associated page. In the 10.1.3.4 version, I was getting the right answer as far as checking to see if the transaction was dirty, now i am not. Basically, I'm evaluating the value of ("#{bindings.Commit.enabled}" to determine if trans is dirty. here is the code from the backing bean:

Did you have any uncommitted changes when you invoked checkDirty method, if not what you have observed is correct and what is the status of commit button in the ui, is it enbaled or disabled?
If you feel still it is not behaving correctly, you can try calling getDBTransaction().isDirty() method which returns true if the transaction is dirty, See [this post|http://forums.oracle.com/forums/thread.jspa?messageID=3641722&#3641722] for more details.

Custom Table Loses Formatting

I have created a custom table by using the "Create new style" feature. I noticed that when the custom table style is renamed, tables already inserted in the topic lose their formatting (new tables inserted do have the custom formatting). Is this a bug?

After Migrating from 10g to 11g Geeting problems with Guided navigations and section navigations not working.
And we are getting the following error <<odbc driver returned an error (SQLExecDirectW)>> where we have used navigations.
In 10G we have Guided navigation Reports to display the Reports links and intermediate reports for conditionally displaying the Dashboard section(Reports) but after migrating to 11g Guided navigation reports and conditional reports are not working..
We know that in 11g section navigation replaced with conditions and Guided navigation replaced with action link.. but
do we need to recreate those reports in actions and condition or is there any work around avoid reworking.

But after applying the above the above patch we are still getting the same error.

OBIEE-Values after decimal changing after download in excel format

Hi,
I have reports in OBIEE 11g,in which some columns have values in %.When i try the various export/download functions and noticed that the Excel download did not maintain the fomatting for pecentage values, they fields go out to about 12 decimal places or so.
For eg..if a value in report is like 12.54
After export in Excel it looks like 12.546780393345 .
As i want the same format,pls suggest the solution.

Unable to view catalog after migrating from OBIEE10g to 11g

Hi All
I migrated "rpd and catalog" using "Upgrade Assistant" utility (Ora_Home\bin\ua.bat) available in OBIEE 11g. But after migration, I am unable to view my catalog and even create analysis reports in Analysis of 11g.
Do I need to do something additional. Although I am able to login to repository.

Difference in behavior of sql and pl/sql after migrating from 9i to 11g

after migrating our database from oracle 9i to oracle11g, the developpers are worry that the behavior of the queries and pl/sql procedures/functions will change
example :
in 9i, select salary,count(*) from emp group by salary, it will display the rows sorted by salary
in 11gi, select salary,count(*) from emp group by salary, it will display the rows not sorted by default, we have to add the clause order by salary.
somebody could give the list of other difference in behavior (SQL and PL/SQL) agter migrating from 9i to 11g

Tell your developers: garbage in - garbage out. In relational databases only ORDER BY ensures row order. If your developers relied on GROUP BY implemented by SORT and therefore returning ordered rows they had to realize code they wrote is Oracle release dependent and sooner or later code would require changes. And that "sooner or later" is now reality. In newer versions ORACLE can do GROUP BY via SORT or via HASH. And if it is done via HASH - don't expect ordered results. So tell your developers "payback time".
