Downloaded a TV show on my Mac - but it is still showing on my iPad as a paid download
This happened once before...
Usually if I download a TV show in iTunes on my Mac I can later go to my iPad and, using the same iTunes account, download the show for free. Instead of $1.99 the button just says "download."
But for a show I downloaded a few hours ago it is showing $1.99 on my iPad.
Last time I tried to contact Apple support about this and they never replied.
A few days later though I noticed I could download the show on my iPad for free.
Is there some time delay between purchase of a TV show and when you can download it for free to your iPad?

Ive changed my apple id. in my iPad and iPhone under iTunes it's showing the new id but under iCloud still shows old I'd. I have been told to delete account and add in new one but worried in case lose all my stuff that's already saved in iCloud. any idea?
If all you did was rename your ID, you can go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, choose Delete from My iPhone when prompted, then sign back in with your renamed ID. Deleting the account only deletes the account and any data you are syncing with iCloud from your phone, not from iCloud. Provided you are signing back into the same account and not changing accounts, your data will be synced back to your phone when you sign back in.
If, however, you are changing to a new account with a new ID, choose Keep on My iPhone when prompted. Then choose Merge when you sign into the new account and turn your iCloud syncing back on to upload your data to the new account.
Before deleting the account, save you photo stream photos to your camera roll (tap Edit, tap all the photos, tap Share, tap Save to Camera Roll). -

HT1338 I want to download OS x 7 to my mac but I do not have an app store to find this download.
I have an older mac book with the OS X 5.8. I just recently purchased the iphone 5 and was going to back my phone up (contacts, ect) itunes notified that i need OS x 7 or greater. I went to itunes.com to download this upgrade. To download I have to go to the app store to purchase it for $20, yet I dont have appstore app on my computer so can not ind here i can download this update.
You don't have to go to App Store to buy 10.6.8 Snow Leopard. Follow the notes below.
First, check that your machine is suitable for Snow Leopard. It needs to be a Mac computer with an Intel processor.Double check by reading the specs.

Before you start upgrading, back up your files.
Once you have upgraded to Snow Leopard, if your upgrade took you to 10.6.3 you will need to apply the Combo updater. Mac OS X 10.6.8 Update Combo v1.1 and follow with a software update to pick up the most recent security updates.
This will take you to Snow Leopard and put the App Store in your applications folder.

Don't have iwork on mac, but can i still use pages on ipad 2?
I was planning on getting pages for my ipad 2 that I just ordered recently. But if I don't have iwork on my mac, can I still open up the document on my computer? I have microsoft word on my mac. I would just like to know if there is any way to open up a pages document on my mac from my ipad if I don't (and not planning on getting) pages for my mac. Thank you!
Since you don't intend to get iWork for your Mac and use Office, consider one of the Office compatible apps available for the iPad. QuickOffice and Docs2Go open/save Office files natively. There are trade-offs for each of the two and you should search out reviews of each to see which is best suited but in my opinion either would be a better solution than iWork for someone who has no intention of using iWork on their Mac.

I have a ipod classic 160GB and it's not showing any music anymore, but there is still showing 7GB of memory being used, and I don't have it backed up on my itunes, since I had to put a new hard drive on my computer. Any suggestion to find out whats on that memory or to get it the music back, there is approximately over 1400 songs on it?
What is the memory being used by, is it Other? If it is, that means the iPod can no longer read the music, so it has put it all in "Other".
The usual fix for this is to allow the iPod to Sync with its iTunes Library. If that doesn't work, the next option is to Restore the iPod using the Restore command in iTunes, on the Device/Summary pane.
Unless you are very (very) lucky, I suspect that you are going to have to Restore your iPod. Restoring will remove everything form the iPod and put back onto it only what it finds in your iTunes Library, which you say is currently empty.
If you have to rebuild your Library after this issue, by adding all the music back again, this is going to be hard to hear, but for the future, you may want to consider always having a backup of your library. The easiset way to back the Library up is;
if the Library is small enough, burn it to a DVD, as digital files, not a "music CD".
If your Library is too large for a DVD, buy yourself an external hard drive and copy the Library onto the drive. Remember to update the backup every so often. -
I have problem when I updated iOS7 yesterday. At first, there was a message popped out in my Iphone 4 said "iOS7 available for u to update, then i clicked "update", then it said "wait while it verifying", after that my phone tuned blank and what i saw was only the "logo of apple". Until now i see only that Apple logo, i can't either switch my phone on or off.

To restart the phone in DFU mode press the power and home button simultaneously for like 10 seconds once the phone is switched off release the power button keep holding the home button while you connect to the computer which has Itunes running and then you can restore or update the software, you can download the update and connect after the software has been downloaded if your phone disconnects, And enjoy you new IOS7. -

i had the Ex HD for about 3 years running smoothly on my mac but recently everything disappeared. plunged it into a pc to see if it read my files and it did. what can i do? to make it work on mac again. i don't want to reformat that drive because i have important applications (DMG) and other zip photo video files in the drive.yes. i did.
...i have tried "verify" & "repair" but they didn't pass the san test. and when i "unmounted/mount" a error message popped up say that there is a application running off the drive but there nothing (i see) running, to close all activity -

TVs don't support "Mac OS Extended (Journaled)", so you will probably have to use FAT32. To format the external drive, follow the same steps as you did to format it with "Mac OS Extended (Journaled), but in the erasing screen, select "MS-DOS (FAT)" as "Format". Note that FAT32 isn't compatible with files bigger than 4 GB. Also, you may have to format the external drive in a PC

I just got another iphone, new sim same number same account, my messeges use to show on my mac, but now they dont and i already logged in to icloud from the mac and still nothinG, i use to be able to recieve my imesseges including none iphone messeges on my mac that were sent to my phone and now since i got another iphone i dont anymore.. I have restarted both the game and Game Center many times to no avail. The game is called Amazing Mahjong.
It doesn't seem sensible to recommend games on Game Center that can't integrate with Game Center perhaps? Or is this a bug?That is what I have done. I have tried to search for 'okular'. What is the name of the .exe file for okular? There isn't a file "okular.exe". I tried searching just for .exe, using the search in the "brouse" window. I am assuming that this search searches the whole file system (from / root?). The search found five .exe files, none okular. Can it also find "hidden" files?
The main question is why doesn't Thunderbird recognise Okular as a valid file to be chosen. It knew about OpenOffice immediately I loaded it.
Do you know the directory (ies) when the Programs are loaded; such as FireFox, Thunderbird, Okular, etc?
